Abstract

This study aimed to describe the semantic relation of words in the lyrics of Struggle song of Nahdlatul Wathan worked TGKH. M. Zainuddin Abdul Majid with semantic study. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a form of qualitative research. The data in this study are the words that contain the semantic relationships in lyrics of Struggle song of Nahdlatul Wathan worked TGKH. M. Zainuddin Abdul Majid with semantic study. Sources of data in this study is the lyrics of Struggle song of Nahdlatul Wathan created by TGKH. M. Zainuddin Abdul Majid. Technique used in this research is interview and documentary studies. Data analysis technique is done through a phase of data reduction, data presentation, and concluded the data. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be deduced that the lyrics of Struggle song of Nahdlatul Wathan worked TGKH. M. Zainuddin Abdul-Majid are synonyms, antonyms, homonyms, hyponymy and hypernymy, redundancies and polysemy. Every relationship has a meaning that can be a lesson in social life. The songs contained on the teachings and exhortations, that as Muslims must maintain, strengthen faith and piety to Allah. In addition, as a citizen of Nahdlatul Wathan should be invited to foster a spirit of faith and devotion as a support to form the spirit of diversity and nationality.Keywords: Meaning Relationship; Semantic Study; Struggle Song.

Abstract

This study aims to process the development of learning tools drama script oriented on the formation of cultural value characters. This development research refers to the Borg and Gall stage model. The stage consists of ten stages of development, namely the initial research and information collection stage, the planning stage, the initial stage of production format development, the initial test phase, the product revision phase, the field test phase, the product revision phase, the field test phase, the product revision phase end, and dissemination and implementation. In this study only until the final product revision stage without including the phase of dissemination and implementation due to limited time research. This research produced Syllabus, RPP, and textbook of drama script oriented to the formation of character of cultural values. The results of this study can be described that the validation of learning devices assessed by two validators, the language validator and graphic design validator. Validation results indicate that the textbooks are included in either category because the percentage is ≥ 75%, the initial trial results are trialed in limited to seven junior high school students generated by observation data, interview, and student questionnaire. Observation data can be analyzed that the learning of writing drama script with learning device of drama script oriented to the formation of character of cultural value is successful and the class is very active. Based on interview data submitted by the teacher in a positive way, it can be analyzed that the learning of writing drama script with a drama script-oriented learning tools oriented to the formation of cultural value character is successful. Based on the questionnaire data of students who have a positive opinion, it can be analyzed that the learning of writing drama script oriented on the formation of the character of cultural values is successful.Keywords: development; learning tool; drama script; and cultural values.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas pengaruh gawai terhadap pemerolehan bahasa anak usia 4 tahun dengan analisis sintaksis kalimat deklaratif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yaitu penelitian yang dipaparkan secara deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini memaparkan tentang ketidaktepatan bahasa yang digunakan anak dan peniruan-peniruan bahasa yang dilakukan oleh anak usia 4 tahun dalam menggunakan gawai, serta pengaruh gawai terhadap pemerolehan bahasa anak. Hal ini dialami oleh anak bernama Fatir yang merupakan anak yang diteliti bahasanya yang digunakannya  pada penelitian ini. Gawai adalah alat yang digunakan untuk berkomunikasi dengan ukuran yang dapat digenggam oleh tangan. Pemakaian gawai yang berlebih akan menimbulkan masalah-masalah pada diri seseorang. Adapun faktor penyebab utama dalam penelitian ini pemakaian gawai yang berlebih sehingga berdampak negatif pada pengucapan anak dalam berkomunikasi. Hal itu menjadi faktor utama dalam data yang telah ditemukan  peniliti dalam kasus ini.Kata Kunci: gawai; pemerolehan bahasa; sintaksis; deklaratif.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship of mastery of language style comparisonto the students' ability in writing poetry on the seventh grade students of SMP Dwi Tunggal Tanjung Morawa in the 2016/2017 academic year. The hypothesis of this study is the mastery of the comparison language style associated with poetry writing skills. The type of this research is quantitative descriptions using correlational approach. The sample of the research is 40 people and the sampling technique is random sampling because the population is 80 people consisting of two classes and the class is homogeneous. Data were collected with multiple choice tests, and performance tests. Data were analyzed by correlation technique. Based on data analysis, there is a relationship of mastery of comparative language style to students' ability to write poetry class VII Dwi Tunggal Junior High School Tanjung Morawa year of learning 2016/2017. The students' ability to master the comparative language style gets an average score of 73.88, then students write poetry get an average score of 72.88. And based on calculations using the formula Product Moment correlation r found that the ability to master the style of language is associated significantly with the ability to write a poem with correlation coefficient 0.678 (strong correlation) (0.678> 0.312), so it is interpreted that the ability to master the style of language is significantly related to writing poetry .Keywords: relationship, mastery, comparative language style, writing poetry

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menjelaskan gangguan berbahasa penderita afasia Broca untuk mengetahui faktor utamanya terhadap tingkat kepercayaan diri dalam berbicara. Subjek penelitian yaitu orang dewasa berusia 24 tahun dan objek penelitian yaitu orang yang penderita afasia dengan kategori afasia Broca. Teori penelitian ini menggunakan kajian fonologi untuk pengantar analisis gangguan berbahasa dalam bidang psikolinguistik sebagai bentuk tulisan berdasarkan fonetik dan fonemik sehingga dalam tulisan diketahui bagian yang terjadinya afasia Broca terhadap ujaran subjek. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif dan menggunakan teknik wawancara, serta peneliti sebagai instrumen utama. Hasil penelitian ini mengetahui untuk fonem-fonem yang terkandung afasia Broca dengan kategori; huruf konsonan /K/, /S/, suku kata ulang, bunyi awal ujaran, bunyi pertengahan dan/atau akhir ujaran.Keywords: Afasia Broca, Fonologi, Fonemik, Fonem, Psikolinguistik

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the effective steps in literary learning based on local wisdom and to find out the process of literary learning based on local wisdom in class VIII-1 of SMP YP. Pangeran Antasari Medan Academic Year 2018/2019. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. The results of this study only describe or construct in-depth interviews with the subject of research so that it can provide a clear picture of the understanding of local wisdom-based literary learning in class VIII-1 of SMP YP. Pangeran Antasari Medan. This study does not use populations and samples, but uses research subjects. In this study, the data sources were obtained from the determined research sites, namely in class VIII-1 of SMP YP. Antasari Medan. The collection technique in this study consisted of three ways, namely Observation, Interview or interview, and Questionnaire. The results of the study indicate that the learning process and short story learning steps are based on local wisdom in class VIII-1 of SMP YP. Abstract

This study uses descriptive research methods. The data in this study are qualitative data in the form of words, phrases, clauses, or sentences in the form of lexical and grammatical cohesion in the short stories of Mini Books Dea Karya Watiek Ideo and Yuli Rahmawati. The source of the data in this study is the discourse of the short stories Mini Book of Watiek Ideo and Yuli Rahmawati. The technique used to collect data in this research is documentation technique. Data processing techniques in this study use qualitative analysis. The results and discussion show that the short story entitled Mini Dea Books by Watiek Ideo and Yuli Rahmawati found grammatical cohesion and lexical cohesion. The grammatical cohesion found is substitution (replacement), subordinate conjunctions of ways, subordinate conjunctions of causes, personal references, anaphorical references, demonstrative references, coordinative conjunctions, subordinate conjunctions, conjunctions between sentences. The lexical cohesion found was epistrofa repetition and antonyms.Keywords: children's story; cohesion; grammatical cohesion; lexical cohesion.

Abstract

The Indonesian nation is currently in a language crisis. This linguistic crisis must be addressed wisely. The purpose of this study is to describe, design, and determine the effectiveness of the Indonesian language proficiency test application based on Android as a medium to strengthen Indonesian language learning. The theory used is learning media, android, UKBI ranking, UKBI material. The method used is research and development. The data analyzed were (1) information about the level of product requirements, (2) Indonesian language proficiency test material, (3) expert assessment results, and (4) effectiveness test data or limited trials. The research instrument used was (1) needs analysis questionnaire, (2) expert testing instrument, (3) limited test instrument. The results of the study are aspects of the appearance and layout of Indonesian language proficiency test devices based on android applications as a medium of learning reinforcement obtain an average score of 79. The aspect of content and effectiveness of the Indonesian language proficiency test based on the android application as a medium for strengthening Indonesian language learning has an average score of 83.3 in the very good category.Keywords: application; Indonesian Language Proficiency Test (UKBI); based on android.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis citra perempuan dalam antologi puisi Perjalanan Lain Menuju Bulan karya M. Aan Mansyur. Hasil penelitian merupakan hasil analisis data dari kutipan-kutipan yang menunjukkan citra perempuan dalam teks puisi. Citra perempuan tersebut sebagai bentuk pengadaan pendidikan paham gender untuk masyarakat lewat puisi dalam upaya memerangi isu-isu gender yang masih terus langgeng di Indonesia. Peneliti sebagai mahasiswa memiliki peran penting untuk menjembatani penyair dengan masyarakat untuk menafsirkan pesan-pesannya dalam karyanya. Peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif jenis deskriptif analisis untuk memudahkan pembaca memahami hasil penelitian. Penelitian yang dilakukan peneliti melalui prosedur berikut: membaca puisi secara keseluruhan, melakukan analisis untuk menemukan citra diri dan citra sosial perempuan, menyeleksi dan mengelompokkan data ke dalam dua kategori dengan masing-masing terdiri dari dua aspek, kemudian mendeskripsikan hasil temuan berdasarkan interpretasi yang dilakukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat empat aspek yang mewakili citra perempuan, yakni citra diri perempuan aspek fisis, citra diri perempuan aspek psikis, citra sosial perempuan dalam keluarga, dan citra sosial perempuan dalam masyarakat. Abstract

The research aims to determine and describe the existence of a matematics teacher in the novel Guru Aini, socio-cultural background and educational values contained in the novel. The research is a descriptive research method qualitative content analysis. The research novel Guru Aini is examined with the approach of sociology literature. Validation is used triangulation theory with stages of reading, records, and analysis of the document. The result of this research incate that the existence of a mathematics teacher most feared by students. This is because mathematics is considered a difficult subject to understand so that many students who dislike mathematics. Then the socio-cultural background in Guru Aini’s novel includes customs and beliefs such as the habit of sprinkling sand into the air while avoiding danger, the language used in Indonesian wit a combination of Sumatera language, the religion that many Islamic figures adhere to, the work that is being carried out namely teachers and others, and the character’s last education is D-3 and high school. Finnaly, the educational value contained in Guru Aini’s novel includes the value of social education which is depicted from interaction of the character with community, the value of moral education which is depicted from attitudes and behavior of the characters, the value of religious education which is depicted from the teachings of Islam in the novel and the educational value of strunggle from character efforts in achieving his dreams.
