Abstract

Stunting or shortness is a condition of failure to thrive in infants (0-11 months) and children under five (12-59) months. Giving MP-ASI that is not in accordance with the age and needs of the baby can have an impact on the health and nutritional status of the baby, the average child who has an infection will certainly experience a decrease in appetite, this can also be a risk factor for stunting. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between complementary feeding and a history of infectious disease to the incidence of stunting in children under five at the Sikumana Community Health Center, Kupang City. The research design used in this study was a cross sectional. The population in this study were all stunting toddlers in Fatukoa Village. Sampling with purposive sampling technique. Data collection in this study used primary and secondary data. The data collection tool is a questionnaire sheet. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate using Spearman Rank test. The results showed a P value of 0.000, on the complementary feeding variable and a P value of 0.000, on the variable history of infectious diseases. So it was concluded that there was a relationship between the provision of complementary feeding and a history of infectious disease incidence of stunting in toddlers at the Sikumana Health Center, Kupang City.

Abstract

Marriage in early age is often caused by pregnancy out of marriage. Pregnancy in adolescent if they are not able to accept these changes will experience psychological disorders that result in the pregnancy being a risk of pregnancy. The aims of this study was to determine Relationship between knowledge level of reproductive health with premarital pregnancy among Early Marriage mothers in Muara Pinang District, Empat Lawang Regency. This study was an analytical survey with a Cross Sectional approach. Sampling technique in this study uses total sampling technique with a total sample of 33 respondents. Data collection uses a questionnaire was carried out by home visits. by implementing the Covid-19 protocol. Data analysis uses chi-square statistical test. The results of this study were: 1) there were 18 respondents with lack of knowledge, there were 9 respondents had moderate knowledge and there were 6 respondents with good knowledge, 2) there were 22 respondents with premarital pregnancy and there were 11 respondents did not have premarital pregnancy, 3) there is significant Relationship between knowledge level of reproductive health with premarital pregnancy among Early Marriage mothers in Muara Pinang District, Empat Lawang Regency with moderate relationship. It is hoped that the sub-district can collaborate with Puskesmas to activate the Posyandu so that it can share reproductive health information. Keywords: Premarital Pregnancy, Knowledge

Abstract

Ideally, babies should be breastfed within one hour of birth, exclusively breastfed for the first 6 months of life. In 2018, babies who received exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia were 65.16%, while in 2019 babies who were exclusively breastfed experienced an increase of 67.74%. The purpose of this study was to study the factors associated with exclusive breastfeeding in the working area of ​​the Lubuk Unen Public Health Center, Central Bengkulu Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of analytical survey research, namely the Cross Sectional approach. The number of samples of 64 respondents was taken by purpusive sampling technique, data collection using primary data, processed and analyzed by univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with chi-square and contingency coefficient. The results obtained: from 64 mothers there were 39 mothers (60.9%) who gave exclusive breastfeeding to their babies, 38 mothers (59.4%) who had IMD, 45 mothers (70.3%) who received support from officers regarding the provision of breast milk. Exclusive breastfeeding, 35 mothers (54.7%) did not receive support from their husbands in exclusive breastfeeding. There is a relationship between the implementation of IMD, support from health workers with exclusive breastfeeding in the working area of ​​the Lubuk Unen Health Center, Central Bengkulu Regency, the category of weak relationship. It is hoped that the Lubuk Unen Health Center, Central Bengkulu Regency, is expected to increase the outreach of information sources about breastfeeding to infants in the community. Abstract

Preeclampsia is one of causes of maternal and fetal mortality, with a high incidence. However, in fact there are still many pregnant women who don’t know how to prevent preeclampsia. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with preeclampsia prevention behavior in pregnant at Oepoi Health Center, Kupang City. This research is a quantitative study with a correlative analytical research design using a cross sectional approach. The number of samples of this study were 167 respondents, using consecutive sampling technique. The inclusion criteria of this study were pregnant women who took an examination at Oepoi Public Health Center, Kupang City, willing to be a respondent, fully aware and able to answer all questions about her situation and pregnant women who can read and write. The results of this study indicate that most respondents have good knowledge, which is 115 respondents (68,9%,. The results statistical tests using Chi-square showed that there was no relationship between knowledge and preeclampsia prevention behavior in pregnant woman with a significant value 0,684 (ρ > 0,05), This study concluded is that there is not correlation between knowledge and preeclampsia prevention behavior at Oepoi Health center Kupang City. Abstract

Parenting is a structure of activities that carried out by parents in providing care (cleaning, protecting, providing food and maintenance). Maternal age is one of the main factors in providing optimal care for 0-6 month old babies. Sufficient knowledge is one of the main supporters for adolescent mothers in forming their actions in providing proper care. The purpose of this study is to describe the knowledge of adolescent mothers in take care of 0-6 month old babies. This research is conducted in the work area of Oesapa Health Center in October 2020. This research is a quantitative research with a descriptive design. Respondents in this study are 46 adolescent mothers with a total sampling technique. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The results showed that 12 people (26%) have enough knowledge, 36 adolescent mothers (74%) have less knowledge in caring 0-6 month old babies in the work area of Oesapa Health Center. Suggestion for health workers (nurses/midwifes) at the Oesapa Health Center is to reach all teenage mothers through health education related to the care of children in 0-6 month ages by involving the family. Abstract

The low coverage of immunization cannot be separated from the factors that influence immunization, namely health behavior. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and economic status with the incidence of chronic energy deficiency (KEK) in pregnant women in the working area of Puskesmas Rimbo Kedui, Seluma Regency. The design of the study used an analytic survey with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all pregnant women in the Work Area of the Rimbo Kedui Public Health Center, Seluma Regency from 29 July to 31 August 2020 as many as 31 people who were taken in total sampling. Data collection, namely primary and secondary data. The analysis technique used univariate and bivariate (Chi square). The results obtained: from 31 mothers there were 21 mothers (67.7%) who did not experience KEK, 13 mothers (41.9%) had good knowledge, 17 mothers (54.8%) had sufficient economic status. There is a relationship between knowledge and economic status with the incidence of Chronic Energy Deficiency (KEK) in pregnant women in the working area of the Rimbo Kedui Public Health Center, Seluma Regency. Abstract

Baby massage is a slow and gentle massage throughout the baby's body starting from the legs, stomach, chest, face, hands, and back. Mother's knowledge about infant massage independently needs to be increased considering the many benefits obtained from infant massage. This study aims to study the effect of counseling on infant and toddler massage on mother's level of knowledge. This type of research is a quasi-experimental with a pre-experimental design using a one group pretest posttest design approach. The population in this study were all mothers who had infants and toddlers aged 0-12 months, 80 mothers were taken by accidental sampling. The results of the study were from 80 mothers who had babies and toddlers aged 0-12 months in the Bentiring Health Center working area, Bengkulu City, prior to being given counseling, knowledge about infant massage was at a low level of knowledge with an average value of 8.06. From 80 mothers who have babies and toddlers aged 0-12 months in the working area of ​​Bentiring Public Health Center, Bengkulu City, after being given counseling, the knowledge about baby massage is in sufficient knowledge with an average value of 11.05. Wilcoxon statistical test results obtained a value of Z = -7.064 with p-value = 0.000 <0.05 significant, meaning that there is a difference in knowledge scores before and after counseling, there is an effect of counseling on infant and toddler massage on mother's level of knowledge. It is hoped that the health team, especially midwives, can optimize the provision of information related to how to do independent baby massage using media such as leaflets, alternating sheets, or the use of videos. So that mothers can better understand and understand what is conveyed by the midwife or puskesmas officer because changes in the way information determine the success of activities. . Abstract

The low rate of contraceptive use illustrates the failure to implement family planning programs in a region. Coverage of CPR (Contraception Prevalence Rate) in East Penfui Village is 14.2%. The figure is still far from the national target of 66%. The factor that can influence the use of contraception is knowledge, information on health workers and community socio-culture. The purpose of this study was to determine the corelation between knowledge, information on health workers, socio-culture with contraceptive use in the East Penfui village, the working area of Puskesmas Tarus, Central Kupang District, Kupang Regency. This research is a descriptive analytic study with cross sectional method. The sample size was 113 couples of fertile age who were determined by means of multistage random sampling from 5 hamlets in the village of East Penfui, The instrument used was a questionnaire, the results were analyzed using the chi-square test with a 95% confidence level. The results showed, respondents who used contraception 46.9%, respondents with good knowledge were 98.2%, respondents who were exposed to information from health workers were 91.2%, respondents who had socio-cultural support were 83.2%. The conclusion of this study is that there is no corelation between the level of knowledge and the use of contraception (p = 1,000), there is a corelation between information on health workers and the use of contraception (p = 0.002), there is a corelation between socio-culture and the use of contraception (p = 0.012) in the village of East Penfui Region. Abstract

Iron supplementation is an important effort in preventing and overcoming anemia, and is the most effective way, because it contains folic acid. Therefore, it is very important for pregnant women to consume FE tablets regularly. Compliance with pregnant women in consuming FE is a health behavior that is influenced by various factors, one of which is knowledge. This study aims to describe the knowledge of pregnant women in consuming Fe tablets at the Baniona Health Center, Wotan Ulumado District, East Flores Regency. The research design used was descriptive quantitative with cross sectional approach. The research samples were all pregnant women who had their pregnancy checked in the working area of ​​the Baniona Community Health Center and had met the inclusion criteria, namely: 1. Pregnant women who performed the examination in the Baniona Community Health Center working area; 2. Willing to be a respondent; and 3. Pregnant women who can read and write. The number of respondents as much 152 pregnant women and the study was conducted in January 2021. The sample was selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire. Data analysis using univariate anilysis. The results showed that the knowledge of pregnant women was obtained by 60 respondents (39.5%) with a low level of knowledge and 92 respondents (60.5%) with a good level of knowledge. Conclusion: the majority of pregnant women consuming FE at Baniona Health Center are in good category. Keywords: Knowledge, Pregnant Women, Fe Tablets

Abstract

Low birth weight (LBW) is one of the causes of infant mortality in Indonesia. The incidence of low birth weight babies (LBW) accounts for 38.85% of the infant mortality rate in Indonesia. Birth weight is an important indicator related to vulnerability to disease risk and child survival. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between maternal characteristics (age and parity) with the incidence of low birth weight (LBW) in RSUD SK Lerik, Kupang City. This type of research is observational analytics with a case control study approach with the number of samples is 74. Sampling techniques using consecutive sampling and analyzed using chi square test. Results and Discussion: The relationship of maternal age with the incidence of LBW obtained ρ-value = 0,259 (α < 0,005), while the relationship of maternal parity with the incidence of LBW obtained the value of the ρ-value = 0,809 (α < 0,005). Conclusions and Recommendations: There is no relationship between maternal age and parity with the incidence of LBW at RSUD S. K Lerik, Kota Kupang. Suggestions for health workers to improve effective communication, information and education services about safe age and parity for mothers to give birth to prevent the incidence of LBW Keywords: Maternal age, Parity, LBW
