Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the communication accommodation process carried out by ethnic Chinese and Sundanese in Surya Kencana, Bogor. The theory used in this study is Howard Giles' Accommodation Communication Theory (CAT). The results showed that the Chinese ethnic Surya Kencana initially made communication accommodations due to compulsion. However, over time and the positive feedback given by the Sundanese Surya Kencana, the Chinese finally made communication accommodations naturally. In the process of communication accommodation, the two ethnics converged, diverged and over-accomodated. The convergence carried out by Chinese is to use Indonesian mixed with Sundanese when communicating with Sundanese. The convergence carried out by the Sundanese is addressing the Chinese with ethnic greetings, (ko ko and ci ci). The divergence made by the Chinese is to be proud if they are called according to their ethnic origin. Meanwhile, the divergence made by Sundanese is to use Sundanese in a larger portion when interacting with ethnic Chinese. The over-accommodation made by the Chinese ethnic group is saying the word Alhamdulillah when interacting with the Sundanese group so that it seems forced. The over-accommodation made by the Sundanese is to greet the Chinese with a greeting according to their ethnicity but not according to the age context, so it seems impolite.

Abstract

This research discusses the contribution of the Hallyu (Korean Wave) on the increasing number of Korean drama consumption among high school students in order the daily and academic life. The aim of the research is to describe the preference of high school students watching the Korean drama. Data were collected through in-depth interview on three informants. The informants are high school students who had been selected and determined using a purposive sampling technique based on the criteria of inclusion in this study. In the process of this assessment, it was discovered that the Hallyu phenomenon in Indonesia contributes to increasing interest in watching Korean dramas. The three informants interviewed had an interest, a habit of watching and a different mood change experience when consuming Korean dramas. In addition, the three informers also give a statement that they agree that consuming Korean drama in everyday life does not affect their academic performance. Therefore, it can be concluded that Hallyu has contributed to the increasing consumption of Korean dramas by high school students but it does not cause changes to their daily routine, including their academic performance.

Abstract

Jouska is an independent financial advisory company that provides offline and online consulting services that recently went viral in social media and had a strong brand image as a financial consultant related to today's needs. In July 2020, social media was outraged by the complaint, which claimed to have been harmed by them, because Jouska allegedly directed their clients to determine an Investor Fund Account Management Contract (RDI) with PT Mahesa Strategies Indonesia, whose shares are affiliated with Jouska. However, during the development, the client experienced a significant loss in the shares. This situation turned out to be similar complaints from other clients until Jouska underwent a crisis that led to the government's blocking, and the case ended in the realm of law. This study aims to analyze the communication that presents Image Restoration Theory through a lens. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, and it was found that Jouska did not yet have a clear SOP for communication with clients and had not implemented crisis management appropriately. There are several recommendations that Jouska can achieve to restore public trust, including collaborative action with various parties, building a communication strategy, and optimal media relations.

Abstract

This study aims at 1) To find out the application of therapist interpersonal communication and teachers with autistic children in Special School Spectrum; 2) To find out the obstacles faced by therapists and teachers in dealing with, directing, and teaching autistic children who aim to form independent living children; 3) To find out the reason for giving therapy that is in accordance with the abilities of each child or the level they have obtained at Special School Spectrum. The method used in this writing is descriptive qualitative approach and data collection using the interview method. Interpersonal communication of teachers and therapists to autistic children in Special School Spectrum is an example of communication with different special stages of communication in general and how these specific stages help overcome the limitations that exist in learning communication and education in autistic children. Communication between teachers and therapists for autistic children uses methods and tools that are different from communication in general.

Abstract

The communication that takes place between individuals and individuals in the science of communication is known as interpersonal communication. Conflict in Interpersonal Relationships is one thing that differs between individuals who have relationships with one another, such as close friends, family members, and so on. The phrase having a relationship emphasizes the people who are every position and every action of others. In the context of conflict there are several ways that can be used, verbal aggressiveness and / or creative arguments. Where verbal aggression and argumentativity are two dimensions of aggressive communication. Verbal aggressiveness, a destructive form of aggressive communication, destroys individuals. Verbally verbal individuals usually hurt people who use verbal aggressive words whereas Argumentativity becomes a generally stable trait that affects individuals in communication to advocate every issue in controversial issues and verbally attack people others who use these issues. The concept of learning as constructive. this study is expected to provide assistance for the continued research of effective interpersonal relationship management models. By knowing ways of developing interpersonal relationships and conflict resolution by students who can identify and compare their students, enables users to create learning strategies tailored to the characteristics of students, and can create learning that teaches (more) conducive.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the educational information of public relations PT.Unilever Indonesia and Wings Group in social responsibility activities in Indonesia in the case of covid 19. The concept used is Triple Bottom Line and Theory of Excellence in Public Relations. The paradigm in this study is Constructivist. The Research approach to research is qualitative. this type of research is qualitatively descriptive. The method used is a case study. The results of the research obtained are CSR PT. Unilever and Wings Group in addressing covid 19 in Indonesia with educational messages, APD assistance, ventilator assistance, funding assistance, logistics assistance for volunteers, and hygiene assistance and cooperation with hospitals are the company's commitment to sustainable community development, addressing issues affecting people's lives and realizing actions that are appropriate to the social situation of the surrounding community and the wider community. Abstract

In this study, researchers tried to research a social media that people might not know much about, namely the Facebook Fan Page Account Dewan Pimpinan Cabang Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan Jakarta Timur. The purpose of this study is to find out more in the editorial policies of Facebook Fan Page Dewan Pimpinan Cabang Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan Jakarta Timur in determining the news worthy of circulation. In order to study more about social media editorial policies Facebook Fan Page Account Dewan Pimpinan Cabang Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan Jakarta Timur Jakarta Timur researchers use the methodology of Moderate Participation Observation: in this study there is a balance between researchers being insiders and being outsiders. The researcher also participated in participatory observation in several activities, but not fully. The results of this study are Facebook Fan Page Accounts Dewan Pimpinan Cabang Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan Jakarta Timur Jakarta Timurhave a policy in making news. News writers are required to have a mindset that is in accordance with the style of language and writing must also be in accordance with the segmentation of the reader, in order to understand what they need.

Abstract

Education is the basic right of Indonesian people include children with special needs (ABK). Understanding of inclusive education for kindergarten is important for parents and teachers. Interpersonal communication can be a bridge to share ideas, facts, knowledge, thoughts from parents and teachers about inclusive education at Jasmien Kindergarten in North Jakarta.This is a descriptive qualitative research with case study method. The data obtained byobservation indepth interviews with the parents both of ABK and non ABK also the teachers. The study was conducted in May-July 2017. The result shows that the understanding of inclusive education for parents sourced by the experience the children in inclusion school. ABK and not ABK grow well by playing, learning and interact among the children. For teachers, inclusion education is a tangible form of fulfillment of the basic rights of children. Interpersonal communication between parents and teachers is found in dimensions: openness, empathy, supportive, positiveness and equality.

Abstract

This study discusses the effect of stop body shaming message content on followers attitude againts body shaming. This study aims to determine the magnitude of the effect of the contents of the stop body shaming message on followers attitude againts body shaming. The model used in this study is a persuasive instrumental of model. The method used is quantitative. Data collection is done by distributing questionnaires. The population in this study is the Instagram account followers @kemenpppa, for samples using the Yamane formula which is then obtained by 100 respondents. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling technique. The results showed that the results of the correlation test variable X (the contents of the body shaming message) to the variable Y (body shaming attitude) amounted to 0.752. Based on the calculation of the coefficient of determination results obtained the influence of variable X on variable Y by 56.5%. T test results obtained t count t table that is t count 11.295 1.661, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The conclusion from the study is that there is a strong influence between the contents of the stop body shaming message on Instagram @kemenpppa on followers attitude againts body shaming.

Abstract

This research purpose to analyse Anies Baswedans performance in his campaign during Governor election 2017 in Indonesia. Anies known as Indonesian Intelectual figure and decide to involve in Indonesian Politics. Researcher interest in Aniess decision to involve in politics and to recognize his self, wheter during campaign or not.This research is Dramaturgi Analyst with interaction symbolic approach. Kind of research is qualitative. As a research, this only focused on Anies Baswedans appearance, while he was in the campaign. Data of this research is qualitative, where data has not numbers. All data were substansive that interprete with erudite references. The analyst data system that used in this research progress to identify Anies Baswedans appearance during his campaign in Governor election 2017. Identify Aniess appearance divided in two parts, front stage ( during campaign) and back stage (daily life). As the result, researcher conclude that Anies Baswedan managed his impression in front stage well. Even this research found some discrepancies between his front stage and back stage. This Discrepancy is the differences between Aniess Statements with his daily life.
