Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the extent to which MNC Trijaya FM as a networked radio in the city of Bandung is able to represent the values of local identity of a region. This research uses a descriptive qualitative methodological approach, and a theoretical approach to Critical Discourse Analysis (AWK) from Norman Fairclough. The data of this study are fragments of the Ngadu Bako MNC Trijaya FM program discourse and key informant in-depth interviews. Based on the research, the following results are obtained: first, the efforts made by MNC Trijaya FM are not interpreted as an ideology that the characteristics of local identity are a culture that must be raised, not imaged as a weak culture. Second, the analysis of the practice of discourse focuses on how the discourse is produced and consumed. The production of this discourse is closely related to the ideology of the management of Trijaya FM MNC, talkshow resource persons, and actions to be achieved. As a networked radio, MNC Trijaya FM has not been able to fully represent local identity through the Ngadu Bako program. Third, the discourse produced is influenced by the textual dimension, the practice of discourse, and sociocultural practices.

Abstract

The objects of tourism attraction have an important role in Indonesia’s tourism growth, as an example is Cireundeu adat village in Cimahi, West Java. Which has potentials to be a tourism destination, and still being developed of late. The potentials to be a tourism destination cannot be separated from local government involvement to the development of village tourism, which can be done through regulation and authorization, but in the enactment process, there are several factors that make policy implementation of Cirendeu adat village development as tourism destination is not optimal. The purpose of this research is to know the implementation on communication of public policy, particularly about the development of tourism village in Cireundeu Adat Village that led by the Department of Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports (Disbudparpora) as an Executive element. This research uses qualitative research methods with data collection procedures are through observation, in-depth interviews, and related documentation. This research concludes that the communication on public policy of village tourism development led by Disbudparpora was through persuasive communication approach, along with that, there are constrain factors and supporting factors in the implementation. Disbudparpora also must actively provide guidance in development process and more engaging with the indigenous peoples for sustainable tourism development.

Abstract

Humans are social beings who have a need to constantly interact with other humans, the presence of the internet, especially social media change the style of interaction that was originally in person can now be done virtually, evenhumans can form a particular group without having to meet directly with each other via social media. Facebook is one of the social media are widely used in Indonesia and form a virtual community. In this study, researchers interested in studying the social interaction of virtual communities on facebook social media. This type of research is qualitative research constructivist paradigm. Method of the approach in this study is a virtual ethnography. Data collection techniques are performed online and offline interviews and observations online at MCI community. Discussion through interviews, while three key respondents of this research is the facebook social media users were active in the MCI and one supporting respondent namely Admin Coordinator. The results showed that there is a motive behind the four Facebook users join and active in the community MCI there are curious motif, entertaining motif, the motif of expression and motif of self-esteem. In addition, varieties of languages are built facebook users in interaction in MCI, researcher has found three points, namely the term greeting, typical expression, and use hashtag. So it can be said that social interaction in a virtual community also has a culture or way of interacting like usual but it is an internet community.

Abstract

The development of technology, information, and communication in Indonesia are growing rapidly accompanied by the development of creative content in the Internet. The emergence of social media has become one of the newly popular media among the society which are utilized as a main weapon for business. Twitter as one of the social media and microblogging platforms is used not only as a medium of communication but also used for promotion. Ika Natassa, a well-known novel writer, uses twitter as one of media promotion in publishing her latest novel titled Critical Eleven. The purpose of this research is to understand the promotional theme of @ikanatassa?s tweets and to understand the message that dominates in @ikanatassa?s tweets in the period of May-June 2015. The method used in this research is a qualitative content analysis with inductive approach and the unit analysis were 300 tweets that related to the promotional activities of Critical Eleven. The findings showed that the content found in @ikanatassa?s tweet are divided into six categories, namely, promotion, sharing personal information, suggestions and tips, behind the scene, contests, and sneak preview. Based on the meaning linked to these six categories, the main theme of @ikanatassa?s tweets is 1,111 #CriticalEleven for Pre-order on 1st July 2015. This theme reflects the character of Critical Eleven and its relevance to the needs of the readers. While, the message that dominates in @ikanatassa?s tweets reflected promotion as the category. The dominance of this category is affected by the coming date of Critical Eleven?s pre-order, the number of interactions between Ika Natassa with her followers, and repetition of tweets about basic information of Critical Eleven?s pre-order.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to gain an understanding and know the factors that influence political communication and budgeting functions of the Indragiri Hulu District Parliament. Research informants numbered 6 people who were determined through incidental sampling. The results of this study indicate that in the determination of the budget, Indragiri Hulu Regency DPRD through the Budget Agency together with the Regional Government Budget Team (TPAD) agreed on the General Budget Policy - Priority Budget Ceiling (KUA-PPAS) based on the budget guidebook. Political communication in the budget function has a distinctive form, strategy, media and activity, political construction that leads to interests built on the reality of knowledge, public awareness, public discourse resulting from the political construction of budget management, the relationship between government spending and regional revenues so the budgeting function works based on fiscal policy, the allocation function and the principle of equitable development. The APBD also forms the basis for regional financial control, inspection and supervision activities as seen from the budget cycle of the APBD budget which starts on January 1 and ends on December 31 of the year concerned consisting of the preparation and stipulation of 1 year before the fiscal year, implementation 1 year during the year current budget and APBD accountability reports. Abstract

Keluarga harus mengetahui alasan yang tepat mengapa memilih metode Homeschooling dalam proses hafalan Al-Quran. Ayah dijadikan sebagai sosok utama dalam proses hafalan Quran, teknik komunikasi yang diterapkan, intensitas belajar, kurikulum dan tujuan yang ingin dicapai dengan Homeschooling. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa alasan keluarga memilih ayah sebagai sosok utama dalam proses hapalan Al-Quran adalah adanya kesadaran bahwa pendidikan zaman Rasulullah berasal dari rumah, sekolah formal memiliki dampak negatif, dan adanya tekanan secara psikologis. Alasan ayah dipilih keluarga sebagai sosok utama dalam proses hapalan Al-Quran adalah karena Ayah Aries mendapatkan motivasi sebagai orangtua untuk mengajarkan Al-Quran pada anaknya, Ayah Aries memiliki kemampuan bahasa Arab dan di anggap lebih sabar, anak termotivasi saat melihat ayah menghafal Al-Quran. Teknik komunikasi yang diterapkan ayah adalah audio, kata kunci, pengulangan, mempertontonkan video para penghafal Al-Quran sebagai penambah semangat. Intensitas belajar yang diterapkan adalah pada waktu ba’da Subuh dan ba’da Maghrib selama 30 menit. Kurikulum Homeschooling yang digunakan adalah personal kurikulum. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dengan menggunakan Homeschooling adalah Al-Quran menjadi ruh bagi Rasyid, memberikan keberkahan hidup, dan mendapatkan pertolongan di hari akhir (syafaat).

Abstract

Terapis wanita di panti pijat memerlukan presentasi diri baik secara verbal maupun non verbal untuk memberikan citra ataupun kesan baik kepada setiap orang yang memerlukan jasanya sehingga memberikan stimulan kepada setiap orang pengguna jasa pijat untuk menjadi pelanggan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan studi dramaturgi, Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi partisipan, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian pada panggung depan terapis wanita melalui setting, harus tampil cantik, seksi, sesuai dengan front personal yang ditampilkan menggunakan seragam, memakai high heels dan wewangian. Panggung belakang para terapis wanita tampil seutuhnya sebagai ibu, anak dan berbaur dengan masyarakat lain, mempersiapkan dirinya untuk masuk ke scenario panggung depan seperti perawatan tubuh, berdandan dan mewarnai rambut. Presentasi diri terapis wanita di panggung depan di atur oleh seorang bos panti pijat sebagai sutradara agar presentasi diri dari para terapis wanita menarik perhatian pelanggan. Di panggung belakang mereka menampilkan sosok yang seutuhnya tanpa ada intervensi dari sutradara.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan interpretasi mahasiswa terhadap program kampus mencetak wirausaha muda program Binus University Alam Sutera yang digali melalui persepsi dan makna. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Analisis dilakukan dengan cara mereduksi, menyajikan dan menyimpulkan data hasil Focus Group Discussion (FGD) bersama tiga kelompok mahasiswa yaitu kelompok mahasiswa track entrepreneurship, mahasiswa yang memilih track entrepreneurship, dan mahasiswa yang tidak memilih track entrepreneurship di Binus University. Hasil penelitian mengacu pada faktor pembentuk persepsi yaitu keinginan, pengalaman masa lalu, dan pengalaman lingkungan sekitar. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat perbedaan interpretasi mahasiswa terhadap track entrepreneurship sesuai dengan faktor pembentuknya.

Abstract

Motif tujuan budaya ngopi di café pada remaja di Bandung adalah untuk memenuhi kebutuhan gaya hidup milenial remaja perkotaan. Café menjadi ruang publik bagi remaja dengan tujuan yang berbeda yaitu untuk minum kopi, menunggu seseorang, bertemu dengan teman, mengerjakan tugas, diskusi dengan rekan bisnis, brainstorming, berkumpul dengan keluarga, reuni, sekedar arisan, chatting, bermain game online, streaming film youtube, nongki, melarikan diri dari aktifitas yang melelahkan, menghindari terjebak kemacetan lalu lintas dan me time. Motif penyebab budaya ngopi di café pada remaja di Bandung karena lokasi café yang strategis, lahan parkir, ruangan ber-AC, sofa yang nyaman, fasilitas steker listrik dan free wi-fi, smoking area, kehandalan barista dalam menciptakan varian rasa kopi olahan, harga terjangkau, desain interior dan eksterior ruangan yang instagramable, warna, furniture, musik, toilet. Abstract

Perkembangan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) dimanfaatkan oleh petani di Desa Bugel Kabupaten Kulon Progo Yogyakarta yang menerapkan TIK dalam menyebarkan informasi pertanian kepada sesama petani dan jaringan di luar petani sebagai upaya optimalisasi pemasaran hasil pertanian melalui akses jaringan pasar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui media komunikasi yang digunakan dalam optimalisasi penyebaran informasi pertanian dan pemasaran hasil tani pada Kelompok tani Gisik Pranaji dan untuk menjelaskan proses komunikasi melalui jaringan komunikasi kelompok tani Gisik Pranaji Kulon Progo dalam lelang hasil tani. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan bahwa TIK berbasis WhatsApp dimanfaatkan anggota kelompok tani Gisik Pranaji sebagai media penyampaian informasi diantara komunitas petani, komunitas pedagang (pembeli hasil pertanian), dan dinas terkait sebagai jaringan komunikasi di luar kelompok tani. Hal ini memainkan peran penting dalam proses pengolahan pertanian dan pemasaran hasil tani dalam membantu petani membuat keputusan dalam proses lelang hasil tani.
