Abstract

The beauty product sector in Indonesia is currently experiencing intensifying competition. Recent research indicate that a beauty product is highly susceptible to problems within the cosmetics sector, particularly in Indonesia. This consistently elucidates that there are factors influencing the intensity of beauty product acquisitions. The objective of this study is to examine the factors influencing the frequency of Maybelline cosmetic product purchases among women in Indonesia. The characteristics that quantify buying intensity include parasocial interaction, hedonic behavior, and utilitarian conduct. This research employs a quantitative methodology via a survey with a questionnaire. This study had a total of 145 individuals. This study used purposive sampling by establishing criteria for participant selection, specifically targeting women residing in Jabodetabek, who are YouTube users and have viewed Maybelline beauty product review video on the platform. This study employs PLS-SEM modeling utilizing SmartPLS as the analytical tool. This study's results indicate that social interaction greatly affects hedonic, utilitarian, and purchasing intentions. Conversely, hedonic and utilitarian outcomes yield distinct results in elucidating their impact on buying intensity. This is also pertinent to the outcomes of the indirect effect. This study enhances the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology by incorporating hedonic motivation as a significant factor in comprehending consumer technology uptake.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji dampak Integrasi Teknologi Digital di Toko Fisik, Pengalaman Belanja Omnichannel, dan Interaktivitas Pelanggan melalui Media Sosial terhadap Kepuasan Pelanggan dalam konteks ritel di Indonesia dengan menggunakan pendekatan Phygital. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melibatkan 178 responden yang mengisi kuesioner berbasis skala Likert 1-5. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan teknik regresi dan SmartPLS untuk menguji hubungan antara variabel bebas dan variabel terikat. Temuan utama menunjukkan bahwa integrasi teknologi digital, seperti kios layanan mandiri dan augmented reality, secara signifikan meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan dengan memperkaya pengalaman belanja fisik. Pengalaman belanja omnichannel yang konsisten antara saluran online dan offline juga terbukti meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan dengan menciptakan pengalaman yang mulus. Selain itu, interaktivitas melalui media sosial berkontribusi pada kepuasan pelanggan dengan memungkinkan keterlibatan langsung dan membangun hubungan yang lebih kuat dengan merek. Temuan ini relevan dengan tren Marketing 5.0 yang menekankan penggunaan teknologi untuk meningkatkan interaksi pelanggan dan pengalaman belanja. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan penting bagi retailer di Indonesia dalam merancang strategi ritel yang menggabungkan elemen-elemen Phygital untuk memenuhi harapan konsumen yang semakin digital-savvy dan terhubung secara sosial.

Abstract

In an organization, commitment is a very important thing because it can be used as a measure of general performance success as shown by the ethics of members in complying with organizational rules. This research departs from the ethical problems of members of the Chandra Kirana Soldier's Wife (Persit) in carrying out organizational commitment. The population and in this research is the entire population as a sampling technique by paying attention to organizational commitment variables (age, tenure, level of education, communication, leadership, organizational culture and Organizational Climate). The data used is primary data in the form of respondents' answers regarding research variables obtained through distributing questionnaires. To test the relationship between research variables, multiple regression analysis techniques were used using SPSS version 20 software. The research results showed that: Age has no effect on organizational commitment among members of Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana Infantry Battalion 141, tenure of office has a positive effect on organizational commitment, education level has a positive effect on organizational commitment, communication has a positive effect on organizational commitment, leadership has a positive effect on organizational commitment, organizational culture has a positive effect on organizational commitment, work climate has a positive effect on organizational commitment

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of product quality and price on purchase decisions, with customer satisfaction as a mediating factor, focusing on Samsung smartphone users in Indonesia. Utilizing a quantitative approach, the research examines the causal relationships among variables, employing Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) for analysis. Data were collected through a structured online questionnaire targeting 113 respondents using convenience sampling. The findings reveal that product quality significantly impacts customer satisfaction and directly influences purchase decisions, highlighting its pivotal role. Price also positively affects customer satisfaction but shows minimal direct influence on purchase decisions, underscoring the mediating role of satisfaction. Customer satisfaction strongly drives purchase decisions as a crucial intermediary between independent and dependent variables. These insights emphasize the necessity for businesses to prioritize product quality and strategies that enhance customer satisfaction to remain competitive in the smartphone industry.

Abstract

Despite its popularity and substantial user support, e-commerce in Indonesia exhibits intense rivalry for survival. This is demonstrated by the decrease in e-commerce in Indonesia, attributable to insolvency, changes in business models, or a decision to refrain from operating in the country. Amidst intense competition, Shopee has managed to endure and enhance its brand and services, establishing itself as one of the largest and most formidable e-commerce enterprises in Indonesia. Several factors encourage Indonesian customers to engage in impulsive and loyal shopping on a platform. This study seeks to examine the factors influencing impulsive buying on Shopee, utilizing predictor variables such as visual engagement, enjoyment, and attitudinal loyalty. This quantitative study employs a questionnaire as a survey instrument for participants. The items in the questionnaire are derived from prior research. A 5-point Likert scale is employed to assess the value of respondents' answers. This study utilized a sample of 200 respondents selected by purposive procedures, specifically persons who had made purchases on Shopee. This research employs partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) and SmartPLS as analytical instruments. This study's findings indicate that customer satisfaction on the Shopee platform can affect both attitudinal loyalty and impulsive purchasing behavior. Conversely, the visual engagement experienced by Shopee customers can solely affect impulsive purchasing, rather than fostering attitudinal loyalty. Moreover, attitudinal loyalty exerts no influence on impulsive purchasing. Additional findings indicate that attitudinal loyalty does not function as a mediator in this research. This study's findings enhance strategies for cultivating client loyalty and stimulating impulsive purchases by evaluating the reinforcement of visual engagement or enjoyment factors. This study's limitations and recommendations for future research are to the range of predictor variables and the necessity for a larger, more diverse sample size.

Abstract

Media sosial, khususnya Instagram, telah menjadi platform strategis dalam memasarkan produk makanan lokal. Mie Mu, sebagai produk UMKM, memanfaatkan Instagram untuk memperluas jangkauan pasar. Warga ‘Aisyiyah Kota Padang merupakan komunitas potensial yang aktif di media sosial, sehingga penting untuk mengkaji pengaruh penjualan melalui Instagram terhadap minat beli mereka.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penjualan melalui Instagram terhadap minat pembelian Mie Mu di kalangan warga ‘Aisyiyah Kota Padang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear sederhana untuk menguji hubungan antar variabel.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penjualan melalui Instagram berpengaruh signifikan terhadap minat beli Mie Mu. Sebagian besar responden menyatakan bahwa visual produk, testimoni, dan promosi digital meningkatkan keinginan mereka untuk membeli. Interaksi melalui fitur komentar dan pesan langsung juga memperkuat kepercayaan terhadap produk. Sebanyak 78% responden mengaku tertarik membeli setelah melihat promosi di Instagram.Kesimpulannya, strategi pemasaran digital melalui Instagram terbukti efektif dalam menjangkau target konsumen dan meningkatkan minat beli, khususnya di kalangan warga ‘Aisyiyah Kota Padang.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of early Industry 4.0 digital technologies on the sustainability and entrepreneurial well-being of Indonesian small-scale fishermen. Despite abundant marine resources, their sustainable livelihoods are challenged by the commercial fishing industry’s unbalanced performance. Employing quantitative methods and surveys in western Indonesia, the research reveals a significant link between artisanal fishermen as entrepreneurs and the sea as a natural resource provider, crucially mediated by digital transformation. To achieve both short-term and long-term sustainability, harnessing the potential of digital technology for responsible sea exploitation is essential. Findings indicate that digital transformation significantly enhances the relationship between fishermen and the maritime ecology. By embracing digital solutions, artisanal fishermen can optimize resource utilization, improve operational efficiency, and enhance their overall well-being, ensuring the long-term viability of small-scale fisheries.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of workload, work motivation, and work discipline on employee performance within the receiving division of PT. Caturkarda Depo Bangunan Tbk, a building materials retailer in Indonesia.  A significant decline in this division's performance, from "Excellent" to "Fair" between January and June 2024, prompted this research.  The study's novelty lies in examining the interplay of these three factors within this specific organizational context, addressing inconsistencies in prior research regarding their impacts on performance.  Employing a quantitative approach, primary data were collected through questionnaires (n=85) and interviews with the division manager.  Path analysis using SmartPLS 4 was utilized to analyze the data.  The findings reveal a significant positive relationship between workload and employee performance (p=0.008), supporting Hypothesis 1.  However, contrary to expectations, work motivation did not significantly influence performance (p=0.532), rejecting Hypothesis 2.  Hypothesis 3 was supported, demonstrating a significant positive relationship between work discipline and employee performance (p=0.000).  The R-squared value of 0.770 indicates that 77% of employee performance variance is explained by the three examined variables.  The study concludes that while workload and work discipline significantly affect employee performance in this context, work motivation requires further investigation and potential intervention strategies to enhance its impact.  The results provide valuable insights for PT. Caturkarda Depo Bangunan Tbk to improve its employee performance by focusing on workload management and reinforcing work discipline.

Abstract

The rapid proliferation of stock investment applications in Indonesia has not been matched by consistent adoption among Generation Z, revealing a research gap in understanding how psychological and risk-related factors shape the transition from awareness to actual usage. This study aims to examine the effects of awareness, financial literacy, and perceptions of reliability, security, and risk on Gen Z’s adoption of stock applications in urban contexts. A quantitative approach was employed through a survey of 130 Gen Z respondents and analysed using the PLS-SEM method. Results show that awareness enhances financial literacy and perceptions of reliability and risk but does not directly influence adoption. Reliability, security, and risk factors significantly affect adoption behavior and mediate the awareness–adoption link, while financial literacy does not function as a mediator. Theoretically, this study advances the UTAUT framework by integrating risk perception as a critical determinant of financial technology adoption. Managerially, the findings highlight that FinTech providers should enhance transparency of security features, foster trust-based communities, and design targeted digital education to encourage sustained adoption. Regulators may leverage these insights to implement consumer protection policies that strengthen trust and risk management, thereby accelerating the shift from awareness toward consistent usage of investment platforms.

Abstract

Dalam rangka mewujudkan visi dan misi organisasi, ketersediaan sumber daya yang berkualitas merupakan suatu keharusan. Salah satu komponen sumber daya yang memiliki peran strategis adalah sumber daya manusia dengan tingkat kinerja yang tinggi. Pencapaian kinerja pegawai dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, di antaranya adalah lingkungan kerja, keadilan organisasi, dan komitmen berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh lingkungan kerja dan keadilan organisasi terhadap kinerja pegawai, baik secara langsung maupun melalui peran mediasi dari komitmen berkelanjutan. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 65 orang. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan metode Partial Least Square (PLS) dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SmartPLS versi 4.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) lingkungan kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keadilan organisasi; (2) lingkungan kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai; (3) keadilan organisasi tidak berpengaruh langsung terhadap kinerja; (4) lingkungan kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai melalui keadilan organisasi; (5) komitmen berkelanjutan memiliki peran mediasi terhadap hubungan keadilan organisasi terhadap kinerja pegawai.
