Abstract

Heart failure is one of the leading causes of hospitalization and mortality, particularly among older adults. Early detection is essential to support effective clinical decision-making. This study aims to develop a heart failure prediction model using the Random Tree classification algorithm optimized with Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) for feature selection. Random Tree was chosen for its simplicity and interpretability, while PSO was employed to identify the most relevant features and remove less important ones. The dataset was obtained from the UCI Machine Learning Repository and consists of 299 patient records with 12 clinical attributes. Model performance was evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, and Area Under the Curve (AUC). The baseline Random Tree model achieved an accuracy of 75.58% and an AUC of 0.632. After applying PSO-based feature selection, the optimized model achieved an accuracy of 82.27% and an AUC of 0.740. These findings indicate that integrating PSO with Random Tree effectively improves heart failure prediction performance and has potential as a clinical decision-support tool

Abstract

The output power monitoring system of a photovoltaic (PV) power plant was developed to analyze the effect of surface temperature control on solar panel performance. The study utilized a 50 Wp monocrystalline solar panel. An experimental method was employed by comparing panel performance under two operating conditions: without a cooling system and with a water-cooling system. The system was integrated with a real-time monitoring platform capable of measuring panel surface temperature, voltage, current, and output power continuously. Testing was conducted from 09:00 to 13:00 WIB. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of a water-cooling system with a real-time monitoring system for a 50 Wp PV module to directly evaluate the relationship between panel surface temperature and output power. The results indicate that the implementation of the cooling system increased the output power from 16.95 W to 29.70 W at 10:00, from 32.64 W to 35.88 W at 11:00, and from 36.72 W to 38.64 W at 13:00. In addition, the panel surface temperature remained more stable within the range of 29.3–35.6°C.  These findings demonstrate that reducing the panel surface temperature can effectively enhance output power and improve the operational stability of the PV system

Abstract

This research covers the measurement and analysis of the effect of peltier coolers on mobile phone performance while playing Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. System stability control conditions can lower the Frames per Second (FPS) in the image display (lag). Direct data collection is in the form of quantitative experimental. The use of two mid-range phones was tested with a variety of graphics resolutions (Standard and HD), durations of 10, 15 and 20 minutes, as well as conditions with and without coolers. Each combination of treatments was repeated 30 times. The data was analyzed by comparing the average temperature drop and the FPS increase, so that a deep correlation value (R²) was obtained, a term used to measure the correlation between temperature and FPS. The results showed that peltier coolers were effective in lowering the temperature significantly. On Xiaomi, the average temperature drop is 9,24°C (Standard) and 12,02°C (HD), with an increase in FPS of 0,23 and 14,08. On Infinix, the temperature drop is 9.19°C (Standard) and 10.92°C (HD), with an increase in FPS of 0.011 and 1.023. An R² value close to +1 indicates a strong correlation between a decrease in temperature and an increase in FPS.

Abstract

Population growth is a key indicator in regional development planning because it affects economic, social, and infrastructure aspects. The city of Surakarta has experienced steady population growth, necessitating the use of accurate estimation methods. This study aims to estimate population growth using the Newton polynomial interpolation method with divided differences and to compare it with linear regression. This study employs a quantitative approach using secondary data from 2021 to 2025 obtained from the Central Statistics Agency of Surakarta City. The analysis was conducted by compiling a split-difference table, forming a Newton polynomial, and creating a linear regression model using Python. The results show that the Newton interpolation method produced population estimates of 540,943 people for 2026 and 583,103 people for 2027, with a MAPE of 0% and an RMSE of 0. Meanwhile, linear regression produced population estimates of 531,259 for 2026 and 533,025 for 2027, with a MAPE of 0.116% and an RMSE of 694.5. Thus, the Newton interpolation method is more appropriate for representing historical data, while linear regression is more appropriate for long-term predictions.

Abstract

This study aims to address the problem of post-divorce population document validation, which is still carried out manually and is prone to errors and delays. The proposed approach is the development of a document validation system using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for data extraction and Relationship-Based Access Control (ReBAC) for relationship-based access management. The research dataset consisted of 122 identity documents in JPG, PNG, and PDF formats that had undergone anonymization and preprocessing stages, including grayscale conversion and noise removal. The testing results showed that the OCR system achieved matching rates of 74.59% for the National Identification Number (NIK) attribute, 89.34% for the name attribute, and 75.41% for the address attribute, with an average match score of 84.65%. In addition, ReBAC testing demonstrated a 100% success rate across 32 testing scenarios in preventing unauthorized access based on inter-entity relationships. These results indicate that the developed system is capable of improving efficiency, accuracy, and security in the post-divorce population document validation process.
