Abstract

Mongolia is a landlocked country situated between two powerful neighbors Russia to the north, China to the south. Due to Mongolia’s geographical positioning, the country has limited diplomatic options to showcase its power both at the global and regional levels. Thus, Mongolia was forced to initiate political and economic reforms to cope up with the post-cold war global politics. In recent times, Mongolia's unexplored and abundant natural resources are key factors of Mongolia’s socio-economic development. Yet, Mongolia is often cited as an example of a “resource curse”. Mongolia was unable to use its natural resources efficiently hence suffered from resource deficient economic, political, and social challenges. Mongolia’s geographical location and its landlocked position between China and Russia constrained Mongolia’s ambition to shift from an import-based economy to an export-oriented powerful economy in North-East Asia. However, Mongolia’s natural resources, political stability, and non-alignment approach have great potential to decrease Mongolia’s overdependence on imports from neighboring countries. Mongolia in the post-cold war era regime is adopting a diverse and multilateral approach. With a brief overview of the economic, political, physical challenges faced by Mongolia, the paper highlights the potential of Mongolia’s energy sources.

Abstract

Festivals and celebrations are both occasions and events that are marked by people's delight, mirth, and enjoyment. Both events are usually performed in front of audience. The goal of this study was to determine the correct meaning of the two words Festival and Celebration in relation to cultural and historical structures. As a result, utilizing the library technique, we attempted to obtain reliable information from actual books. The findings show that In some manner, all celebrations are cultural. All festivals and Celebrations convey the same message of love, perseverance, and understanding. At these gatherings, we express our gratitude to God for the unusual event or occasion that began on this particular day. There is no written history to show when festivities began, although they were celebrated in ancient Greece and Rome for religious, social, and political reasons. Celebrations have a huge impact on feelings of social togetherness. Many of these events focus on social or ethnic issues, and they aim to inform community members about their customs.

Abstract

Changes in learning patterns from face-to-face to technology-based (online) cause problems, one of which is felt by parents. During the Covid-19 pandemic, parents are required to continue to carry out student character building during online learning and complete the family economy. In line with the problems that occur, the purpose of this study is to provide strategies in solving problems related to the formation of student character during online learning. This research design uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The research was conducted on parents of UPT SMPN 6 Gresik students. The data were collected through observation and in-depth interviews and the data were analyzed using the Socialization theory of Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckman. The results of the study indicate that the strategy referred to in this study is a series of efforts made by parents to solve problems that occur in the formation of students' character during online learning. The strategy in question includes two ways, namely external and internal. Externally, parents are expected to optimize social capital in the school environment such as teachers, principals, school residents, and the community in solving any problems including the formation of student character during online learning. Internally, parents must also be willing to be actively involved during the learning evaluation process and social control during online learning. It is important to provide reports on student progress when studying from home to teachers at school. Keywords: Parents Strategy, Character Building, Online Learning, Covid-19

Abstract

According to behaviorism theory, reward and punishment are needed to encourage desired behavior and prevent unwanted behavior. Rewards will be given to students who successfully implement the program and punishment will be given to students who violate or do not carry out the program properly. This study aims to determine the effect of giving rewards and punishments through a program called “Kata-Kata Berharga” on the behavior of ex-student of a junior high school in the Bangkalan area. The theory used in this research is the stimulus and response theory of B. F Skinner. The research is an ex-post-facto. Data analysis used simple linear regression which later showed that this program greatly influenced the behavior change of the ex-student of the junior high school, as seen from Rcount>Rtable which is 0.745>0.246. The balance between reward and punishment can create a sense of security and reward at the same time, according to the theory of motivation in Maslow's hierarchy of needs.

Abstract

Pregnancy and childbirth have been an integral part of human existence for thousands of years, but unfortunately, the experience has not been easy for all women. Many medicines are available, but the potential for harm is not negligible, as illustrated in thalidomide in 1958. Therefore, many mega medicines are not recommended for use during pregnancy because they have known or suspicious problems or are not sufficient to say that they are safe. In this respect, Chinese herbs are gaining popularity in both developing and developed countries due to their natural origin and relatively safeness with few side effects. This article gives an overview of some of these plants used around Jalalabad city during pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatal care. We examined about 20 species of plants belonging to different families, the most common of which are Asparagus racemosus (Liliaceae), Apium graveolens (Umbelliferae), RheumOfficinalee Polygonaceaee), Veratrum nigrum (Melanthiaceae). Met. From the available studies, it can be concluded that herbal medicines can be used during pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatal care after proper verification of the plant.

Abstract

From the case of the arrest of the perpetrators of the smuggling of one tonne of methamphetamine from China on the Wanderlust ship in Banten, and previously on March 1, 2017 in Medan, the perpetrators of narcotics smuggling from China were also caught with the type of methamphetamine weighing 12.72 grams, ecstasy as many as 3,702 pills, happy five as much as 454 points can provide clues about the existence of an organized motive from China to control Indonesia through narcotics or at least become a major player in the narcotics market in Indonesia. If traced through history, the opium culture in Indonesia is not a native Indonesian culture but was born as a result of the influence of Chinese migrants. This study aims to prove the pattern carried out by Chinese migrants in Indonesia related to narcotics from the colonial period to the present as well as the development of the culture of using opium from each period as well as regulation through the law against narcotics abuse.
