Abstract

Humor has become part of Indonesian society . The emergence of humor in almost every aspect of people's lives due to the role of humor in the life of a society that has a central role in human life, namely as a means of entertainment and education to improve the quality of human life. One of the benefits of humor is humor can play an important role in helping the learning process . The purpose of this study was to determine the teachers' humor in Jakarta based Communal Psychology Review . The research method used in this paper is a descriptive qualitative research method using the approach of Communal Psychology . This study begins with a Focus Group Discussion ( FGD ) and will be examined by using the Open -Ended Questionnaire ( OEQ ) . Based on the results of the study found that teachers tend to enjoy aggressive humor . However, in its application , teachers tend to use self -enhancing humor . In accordance with the results of the study found that the teachers also tend to not like to be used by the humorous material by another and vice versa . With a knowing sense of humor , the benefits of humor , humor style , one must know when the right time to catapult humor , so as not to hurt the feelings of others . With the penilitian about humor at teachers based on a review of Communal Psychology is expected to enrich the literature on Communal Psychology as a reference for subsequent indigenous research . Keywords: teachers , humor , psychology customary

Abstract

Adolescents undergo drastic changes in terms of physical, cognitive, emotional, and psychosexual aspects. Those changes result in unstable emotions within themselves. Accompanied with high level of curiosity as a process of searching for identity, this emotional instability causes adolescents to frequently engage in actions that do not comply with the rules and norms of the society, known as juvenile delinquency. This stud aims at discovering whether permissive, authoritative, and authoritarian parenting styles are related to juvenile delinquency tendency. The participants of this study are 151 students from X school. This study can be considered as a quantitative research with correlational non-experimental design. Due to abnormal data distribution, Spearman correlation test was used to analyze the data. This study concluded that authoritarian and permissive parenting styles are not related to juvenile delinquency tendency (p>0.05) whereas authoritative parenting style is significantly related to juvenile delinquency tendency (p<0.05). Furthermore, the direction of the relationship between authoritative parenting style and juvenile delinquency tendency revealed negative correlation, which means the more authoritative the parenting style is, the lower the tendency will be. Keywords: Juvenile delinquency, authoritative parenting style, authoritarian parenting style, permissive parenting style

Abstract

Nowadays, economy has changed from industry era to knowledge based economy. Indonesia as one of developing countries need to build, invest, and focus in the knowledge and technology for the economy growth, because it can benefit to become more equal participant in the global development process. Knowledge is the main part that plays an important role for an organization. Knowledge management is a method to increase the process of sharing, distribution and creating knowledge in an organization. Knowledge sharing is part of the process, where one shares their knowledge and ideas throughdiscussion in order to create new knowledge or new ideas. Lecturers are the asset of university’s development and knowledge sharing intention is a positive attitude that should be developed. The aim of this research is to describe the knowledge sharing intention among lecturers in “X” university. This research used quantitative research. Knowledge sharing intention questionnaire was created based on the Theory of Planned Behavior by Azjen (2006). There was 58 lecturers filled the questionnaire. The result revealed that the knowledge intention sharing among lectures was very low (24.1%), low (34.5%), high(17.2%) and very high (24.1%). The response of some open-ended questions identified some factors that hinder their intention to share knowledge, such as lack of confidence, lack of experiences, the limitation of knowledge, and opportunity to share. Keywords: Knowledge, Knowledge sharing intention, lecturers

Abstract

The process of aging is a natural process of the human face. In this process, the most crucial stage is the stage of aging. In this stage, the human beings are naturally occurring decline or change in the physical, psychological and social which interact with each other. Deterioration in the elderly occurs because cells aging process that can result in organ weakness, physical deterioration, the onset of various diseases, especially degenerative diseases. Eldery is also seen as a time of biological degeneration accompanied by suffering with various diseases period and the awareness that everyone will die, the death anxiety would be an important psychological problems in the elderly. This study uses a qualitative design with the case study method. Qualitative studies as a process trying to get a better understanding of complexity in human interaction. Case study method allowed the researchers to gain a complete understanding of the interrelationships and integrated many facts and dimensions of the particular case to be studied. Keywords: elderly, death anxiety

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not differences in stress and coping of stress on students or students who have the personality type A and type B, especially in the face of national examinations. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach. This study is a non-experimental research because it does not look for causal relationships as well as in experimental research. Furthermore, the methods used in this study is a survey method.From the test results of the Independent Samples t-test to see differences in stress, at a 0.05 significance level test value t = -1.632 and df = 188, t table shows the number t = 1.960, meaning t count <t table. It can be concluded that there was no difference in stress in male and female students who have the personality type A and type B in the national exams. Furthermore, based on hypothesis testing with the Mann-Whitney test to see differences in coping with stress, p-value = 0.319. With the significance level α = 0.05 then the inferred p-value = 0.319> α = 0.05. These results showed no difference in coping with the stress on students who have the personality type A and type B in the national exams.Thus the research hypothesis that states there are different levels of stress and coping of stress on students who have the personality type A and type B in the face of the national exam was rejected.Keywords: Ujian Nasional, Stres, Coping, Personality

Abstract

ABSTRACT: This study aims to intervene in one of the schizophrenic patients who are in RSUD Dr. Radjiman Widiodiningrat Malang. Subjects experienced hebefrenic schizophrenia. The researcher gave an intervention in the form of expressive writing therapy as a medium to express feelings, heal and improve mental health. This therapy is believed to be able to reveal or describe life experiences in the past, present or future. The method used in the study is qualitative with a case study approach. The results of this study indicate that Expressive writing therapy is effectively used as a medium to express the feelings / heart content / emotions of the Subject.Keyword: Expressive writing therapy, Hebefrenic Schizophrenia. ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan intervensi kepada salah satu pasien skizofrenia yang berada di RSJ Dr.Radjiman Widiodiningrat Malang. Subyek mengalami gangguan skizofrenia hebefrenik. Peneliti memberikan intervensi berupa expressive writing therapy sebagai media untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pengungkapan diri (self disclosure), menyembuhkan dan peningkatan kesehatan mental. Terapi ini diyakini mampu mengungkap atau menggambarkan pengalaman hidup pada masa lalu, sekarang atau masa depan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Expressive writing therapy efektif digunakan sebagai media mengungkapkan perasaan/isi hati/emosi Subyek.Kata kunci: Expressive writing Therapy, Skizofrenia Hebefrenik.

Abstract

Career decision-making ability requires the ability to assess and think of the integration between the knowledge of themselves and the knowledge of the job. Self-determination is the ability to identify desire for autonomy, competence, and relation in order to achieve a target. Achievement motivation refers to students’ attempts to meet goals by becoming a moderate risk taker, showing perseverance in work, having expectation for feedback, showing responsibility in a given task, and having the ability to innovate. The objective of this research is to analyze the effect of self-determination and achievement motivation on Senior High School students’ career decision-making ability. This research also investigates if the aforementioned variables are correlated. The sample for this research are 410 students of Senior High School Grade XI. This is a quantitative based research with multiple correlational research design. The results of the research shows that the correlation value between the self-determination and achievement motivation variables and the career decision-making ability variable is 0.780 (0.00 <0.05). This means that there is a significant correlation between the aforementioned variables. The contribution of the self-determination and achievement motivation variables to the career decision-making ability  variable ((R2) is 78%. Keywords: career decision-making abilities; self-determination; achievement motivation.

Abstract

Developing and maintaining a romantic relationship is a young adulthood‟s development task. Relationship contingency of self-worth has known as one of its factor. Grounded on Sanchez and Kwang‟s (2007) study, RCSW could cause body shame. Hence, it was important to find a self-aspect which could lessen RCSW‟s negative impact, that was self-efficacy in romantic relationship (SERR). This study examined to identify RSCW and SERR predictions toward body shame, also identified SERR‟s presence as the moderator of RCSW and body shame. A self-report measurement was done to 186 individuals aged 21-40 years old in Jabodetabek. By using regression techniques, it was found that RCSW could predict body shame positively and SERR could predict body shame negatively. Yet there was no moderation effect of SERR on RCSW and body shame relationship. Keywords: romantic relationship; contingency; body shame; self-efficacy

Abstract

ABSTRACT: This study originated from the lack of research linking adversity quotient with career adaptability. One study found that there was a positive correlation between adversity quotient and career adaptability. The purpose of this research is to know empirically the correlation between adversity quotient with career adaptability in the Coas class of 2015 FKG “X” at RSGM. This research is a quantitative research with correlational research and deductive approach. The number of samples is 65 people and using probability sampling technique is total population sampling. The measuring instrument used is the Adversity Quotient Questionnaire compiled by the researcher based on Paul Stoltz's (2000) theory with the reliability test result is 0.885 and the validity test result is 0.400-0.667 and career adaptability measurements using the Career Adapt-Ability Scale developed by Savickas et. al (2012) with the result of the reliability test is 0.955 and the result of the validity test is 0.404-0.906. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using the Spearman’s rho correlation matrix method, there is a significant positive relationship between Adversity Quotient and Career Adaptability in the moderate category (r = 0.580). This means that the higher the Adversity Quotient possessed by Koas, the higher the Career Adaptability. As for suggestion for RSGM is to pay more attention to Coas belonging to Campers and Quitters, and also to those who have low Career Adaptability levels.Keywords: Adversity Quotient, Career Adaptability.ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini berawal dari sedikitnya penelitian yang menghubungkan adversity quotient dengan career adaptability. Salah satu penelitian menemukan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara adversity quotient dengan career adaptability. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui secara empiris hubungan adversity quotient dengan career adaptability pada Koas Angkatan 2015 FKG “X” di RSGM. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian correlational research dan pendekatan deduktif. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 65 orang dan menggunakan teknik sampel probability sampling yaitu total population sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah instrumen Adversity Quotient yang disusun oleh peneliti berdasarkan teori Paul Stoltz (2000) dengan hasil uji reliabilitas 0,885 dan hasil uji validitas 0,400-0,679 dan pengukuran career adaptability menggunakan Career Adapt-Ability Scale yang dikembangkan oleh Savickas et. al (2012) dengan hasil uji reliabilitas 0,955 dan hasil uji validitas 0,404-0,906. Berdasarkan hasil dari pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan metode correlation matrix spearman’s rho terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara Adversity Quotient dengan Career Adaptability dengan kategori sedang (r= 0,580) Artinya, semakin tinggi Adversity Quotient yang dimiliki oleh Koas maka semakin tinggi pula Career Adaptability-nya. Adapun saran untuk RSGM untuk lebih memperhatikan Koas yang tergolong Campers dan Quitters, juga yang memiliki tingkat Career Adaptability yang rendah.Kata Kunci: Adversity Quotient, Career Adaptability .

Abstract

Inmates have a great potential to generate pressures that make them unhappy. This can lead to stress and tend to have a desire to commit suicide. To minimize this they need the ability to look for happiness in order to reduce the negative impact arising from the situation in prisons. There are two factors that affect happiness is internal and external factors. Internal factors, there are 3 (three), namely the satisfaction of the past, optimism about the future, and happiness in the present. External factors are 5 (five), namely social life, religion or religiosity, marriage, money and health. This study used qualitative techniques in analyzing the data. Data were obtained through interviews and observations. The number of research subjects are four people according to specified criteria. The results showed on the subject C supporting factors of happiness comes from internal and external factors likely to be achieved, on the subject W and D tend to be achieved on the factors supporting the happiness derived from external factors alone. On the subject of A tends not achieved the supporting factors of happiness derived from external and internal factors. The conclusion from this study is only one subject that is the subject of C which tends achieved in supporting factors of happiness derived from external and internal factors, the remaining three subjects achieved only on external happiness factors alone, or internal only. If the views of external and internal factors supporting factors of happiness, of 4 subjects only 3 subjects tend to be achieved in the happiness of external factors, while the source of happiness internal factors, of 4 subjects only one subject that tends to be achieved.Keywords: Happiness, Women Prisoners
