Abstract

Background : Cancer diagnosis is often a stressor for sufferers, especially if you have to undergo cancer treatment such as chemotherapy. The effects of these negative thoughts can cause problems both physically and psychologically which can worsen the patient's condition. Methods: The questionnaire used to see the Acceptance Of Illness Scale (AIS). The number of samples is 180 patients. Data analysis: proportion, chi square. Results: The results showed that 60.6% of the patients admitted to the West Sumatra Provincial Hospital were good. While the factors that affect the quality of life of patients are: Age (p = 0.006), education (p = 0.902), occupation (p = 0.006). Conclusion: Patient acceptance can be increased by optimizing the factors possessed by breast cancer sufferers. Suggestion: Further research on job variables is explained based on professional status.Keywords: Breast Cancer, Acceptance Stage, Acceptance Of Illness

Abstract

This literature review was made aiming to increase knowledge and enrich our Evidence Based health workers about Hypnoteraphy Treatment for menstrual pain. By doing a number of stages in the making, namely looking for his journal on Google (Proques, Google Education, Pubmed) with the keywords "Desminore and Hypnotherapy for Pain" up to 20 journals which have been published in the last 10 years. Of the 20 selected journals taken 9 more journals discussed in depth which are displayed in the form of tables and their discussion. almost all experiments carried out showed results. The average woman who experienced desminore pain after hypnotherapy could reduce the level of pain.Keywords: Desminore, Hypnotherapy for Pain

Abstract

Background: Children are susceptible to diseases, especially infectious diseases. According to data, 10% of child deaths are due to diarrhea. Children with special needs are poorly informed about how to wash their hands in an appropriate manner. Washing hands using soap can reduce the transmission of the disease. Motivation of children with special needs in washing hands needs to be increased. The purpose of this study was to see the relationship between children's knowledge in washing hands and the ability of children to wash their hands in 6 steps properly and correctly in special schools (SLB) Bukittinggi 2020. Methods: This study used the chi square test, on 34 respondents. Results: The results of this study obtained low knowledge of children (73.5%) of respondents and low ability (70.6%) of respondents with p-value = 0.000. Conclusion: The conclusion is that the ability to wash the hands of children with special needs is still categorized as low with minimal implementation intervention. Therefore it is recommended to do hand washing socialization in the right steps. Keywords: Children, Special Needs, Handwashing Hand, Knowledge

Abstract

Background : Verbal abuse is called emotional child abuse, verbal acts or behaviors that have adverse emotional consequences. without realizing it, parents every day verbal abuse their children. This form of Verbal Abuse is generally done by threatening, criticizing, yelling, isolating the child, giving the child a negative nickname or making fun of him. This behavior influences the parenting styles given to children. Parenting is the ability of parents to provide time, attention and support for their children so that they can grow and develop physically, mentally and socially. Aim : The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between parenting styles and the environment with Verbal Abuse Behavior in Preschool Children in Simpang III Sipin Village, Jambi City. Method : This research method is a descriptive quantitative study with a cross sectional design. The technique of determining the place of this research is proportional technique. Sampling uses a total sampling technique with a total sample of 54 people. Data were collected using a questionnaire, the data that had been collected were analyzed by univariate and bivariate. The analysis in this study used chi-square. Results : The results showed that parenting style and the environment were significantly related to verbal abuse behavior with a P-Value <0.05.Keywords: Parenting, Environment, Verbal Abuse

Abstract

Introduction: Telemonitoring improves quality nursing care, its make decisions quickly and accurately based on the signs and symptoms of patients who are monitored everyday. The use of telemonitoring also has the potential to increase nurse productivity, where documentation time is reduced so that nurses have more time doing patient care activities. Purpose: Provide an overview and ideas of the benefits of telemonitoring in various diseases that facilitate observation and save nurses' time in improving the quality nursing care through literature review.Discussion: Results of review from 10 selected journals, concluded that the use of telemonitoring at home and hospitals in various disease mostly feasible to apply, although in some studies there are no significant differences between telemonitoring and without telemonitoring. Recommendation: Examine the effectiveness of the use of telemonitoring in specific diseases can be done by subsequent researchers.Keywords:  Telemonitoring, Quality Nursing Care, Nursing Time

Abstract

Background: Diabetes is a group of metabolic disease characterized by increased glucose levels in the blood caused by the secretion of insulin . Methods: This research is a quantitative study with a correlation study approach. This research was conducted on 02-29 August 2020. The samples in this study were as many as 40 people taken with purposive sampling techniques. Data collection by measuring blood sugar levels of DM Type II patients and Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) values. Data analyzed univariate and bivariate using spearman rank test. Results: The results showed from 40 respondents, blood sugar levels were unstable as many as 21 respondents (52.5%) and normal category ABI scores of 23 respondents (57.5%). No choleration of blood glucose levels with Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) of diabetes mellitus type II patients with a value of p = 0.053 > 0.05. Abstract

Background: Complementary therapies that exist are one of the community's treatment options. Nurses can act as consultants to clients in choosing appropriate alternatives or help provide direct therapy. This survey aims to see a picture of public knowledge about complementary therapies. Methods: This study uses a descriptive analytic design to describe the public's knowledge about complementary therapy, which was conducted on 50 respondents using an online questionnaire. Result: The results obtained from 50 respondents 68% of respondents said they had known about complementary therapy and as many as 84% said they agreed if complementary therapy was combined with modern therapy. Conclusion: The development of complementary or alternative therapies has been extensive, including people who are involved in providing treatment because of the large number of health professionals and therapists involved in complementary therapies. Nurses as health professionals can participate in complementary therapy.Keywords: survey, knowledge, complementary therapy

Abstract

Background: Patient Safety is a global issue that has received worldwide attention which is caused by patient safety incidents such as medical errors, medication errors, surgical procedure errors, risk of falls, ineffective communication resulting in death. To realize the quality of health services and improve patient safety, interprofessional collaboration is able to provide better care and reduce the number of patient safety incidents. Aim: To find an effective Interprofessional Collaboration Model in Efforts to Improve Patient Safety. Method: We conducted a systematic review from 2010 to 2020. Data was collected from five databases (google scholar, PMC, PubMed, Scopus, and Science Direct) with a total search result of 50,371 articles. The inclusion criteria were a focus on interprofessional collaboration in the hospital consisting of doctors, nurses, analysts, nutritionists, pharmacists, and other PPAs using the keyword “Interprofessional collaboration and patient safety”. Results: TeamSTEPPS and CRM is able to influence patient safety improvement. Conclusions: Twelve types of intervention modifications were reported according to the inclusion criteria, but in general interprofessional collaboration with Team Strategies and Tools to Enhance Performance and Patient Safety (TeamSTEPPS) and Crew Resource Management (CRM) has an effect on improving patient safety effectively, able to improve the quality of care, reduce the rate of complications and errors, reduce length of care and reduce mortalityKeyword:  Interprofessional collaboration, Patient safety, Interprofessional collaboration model

Abstract

Background: The world is troubled by the outbreak of the corona virus disease (Covid-19) which has become a pandemic. There are many countries have to close schools and ask the students learn from home. The psychological impact of learning from home are anxiety, fear, excessive worry and impacts on psychosocial and other disorders. Methods: The type of this research was qualitative research methods with phenomenological approachon 6 participants. They were consisted to 4 girlsand 2 boys in the age range 9-12 years. They had been selected by purposive sampling technique.The data were collected through in-depth interviews.Then, it was analyzed by Colaizzi method. Results: The results of the interview obtained 5 themes, namely 1) Response to the Covid-19 pandemic, 2) Inability to complete school work, 3) Personal independence not achieved, 4) Loss of group roles, 5) Inability to understand information received. Conclusion: It can be concluded that while learning from home, children had psychological development that deviates from their normal ages. It is recommended to the government, health workers, parents provide psychological support to children while learning from home.Keywords: Pandemic Covid-19, Psychological Impact, Learning from Home

Abstract

Background: Community health deficiencies are a refusing health condition in a community. One of them is increasing chronic blood pressure in the long term (140/90 mmhg). Pakan Kamis Community Health Center had the highest hypertension data. There were 3796 cases found in 2017 and in Jorong Sonsang 49 people did not eat regular medication (98.1%). Therefore, hypertension is a healthy Indonesia Program with a family approach since 2017. This study aimed to determine An Analysis of Community Health Deficiency in Hypertension Groups in Pakan Kamis Community Health Center. Methods: The research was qualitative research with the phenomenology approach. It was conducted in Pakan Kamis Community Health Center on December to January 2019. Purposive Sampling had been used to choose the samples. The informants were 30 health workers (9 people and 21 people with hypertension groups). The data were collected through depth interviews, observation and document review. Then, it was processed and analyzed by using Huberman. The data had been reduced, presented, drawn the conclusions and also explained in narrative form. The technique of checking the validity of qualitative data by using a credibility test was by source triangulation. Result: The research results are obtained from the input aspects of performance barriers, management function processes, genetic processes, behavior, lifestyle, environment, family support. Conclusion: it can be concluded that community health efficiency was caused by several factors. It is expected that the Head of the Community Health Center and the program holder to improve their existing human resources.Keywords: Community Health Deficiencies, Hypertension
