Abstract

Background: Puberty refers to the ripening of reproductive organs characterized by the first menstruation in young women (menarche), according to observation data made to young women they feel embarrassed by the changes in physical form that occur at puberty when there is already acne they are not confident, breasts begin to enlarge they fret because they have to wear longer clothes. The purpose of the study was to identify the behavior of young women during puberty in Luak Subdistrict. Methods:This study is Desciptive Analytics with Cross Sectional Study approach. The instrument used is a quisioner and is processed using computerization with the Chi-Square statistical test. The study was conducted on 71 respondents. Results: This study were obtained by 44 negative information respondents (62.0%) with P value = 0.015, Negative culture as much as 40 (56.3%) with P value = 0.016, Negative knowledge of 47 (66.3%) with P value = 0.039, Negative motivation as much as 42 (59%) with P value = 0.03, and positive behavior respondents as many as 53 respondents (74.6%). Conclusion: Based on the above results, there is a significant relationship between Information, Culture, Knowledge, and Motivation with Young Women's Behavior. It is expected to respondents to be able to always improve information on puberty and increase knowledge of changes in parilaku that occur.Keyword:Behavior, Information, Culture, Motivation and Knowledge

Abstract

Background: Covid-19 causes respiratory problems and inflammation of the lungs. This disease is caused by a viral infection. The implementation of hand washing with soap carried out in elementary schools for the prevention of Covid-19 has not been carried out properly because the UKS program is not running optimally and has not received health education. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of health education on the knowledge and actions of washing hands with soap in an effort to prevent Covid-19 in elementary schools. Methods: This research was analytical descriptive research with Quasi Experiment approach with One Group Pre-test and Post-test design. A sample of 20 students using total sampling of students in grades V and VI, data processing using non-parametric tests (Wilcoxon and Paired T test). Results: The results showed that the average knowledge of students before the intervention was 6.15 and the average knowledge after the intervention was 6.9 with p value = 0.003, the average action before the intervention was 2.65, the average after the intervention was 4.6 with p value = 0.000. Conclusion: Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that health education was effective in the knowledge and actions of washing hands with soap as an effort to prevent Covid-19 in elementary schools. It is hoped that the health education method can be used in health education programs for students' knowledge and actions in an effort to prevent Covid-19. Keywords: Covid-19, Health Education, Knowledge, Skills

Abstract

Background: Anxiety is something not clear. Anxiety or uneasy is not specific and unknown to someone. In order to reduce anxiety in preoperative patients, an effective communication should be done, especially therapeutic communication. It needs serious attention from nurses because nurses are the closest and longest-standing health workers to patients. The effect of providing information about surgery preparation with a therapeutic communication approach on patients anxiety levels. One of the efforts that can reduce the level of patient anxiety is the therapeutic communication of nurses. Methods: The design was of this reasech was literature review. Articles were collected by using Google Scholar and Google from publication in 2010-2020.  Result: Based on the articles collected, the results found that that therapeutic communication can reduce patient anxiety. Nurses can apply therapeutic communication as an independent intervention as an effort to reduce patient anxiety.Keywords: Therapeutic Communication, Anxiety

Abstract

Introduction : Cancer is the second leading cause of pediatric death in developed countries. Chemotherapy as the main therapy cause various side effects and complications. Interventions such as health education, symptoms management and psychological social  support are important elements in care process. Mobile Health is a mobile application provides various features are very accessible and children can involved actively in the care process. Purpose : To describe the usability of mobile health in supporting services of pediatric oncology area. Methods : Using a literature review method on 10 articles searched through  PROQUEST, EBSCO, Science Direct, JMIR, and Spingerlink database from 2018 to 2021. Results : Mobile health is effective and provides benefits in health education, symptoms reporting and management, pediatric and caregiver support. Recommendation : Mobile health allows to be used in Indonesia to support pediatric oncology services. Keywords: adolescent, cancer, mobile health, pediatric.

Abstract

Background: The use of gadgets is one of the shortcuts for parents in accompanying their children as caregivers. At the age of adolescence in the pandemic era, it becomes a primary need to use gadgets in the online learning process, but the health impacts, including anemia, decreased role functions, decreased behavioral control, and sexual behavior deviations need to be a concern.  Purpose:This study aims to determine the distribution of gadget addiction. Methods:  This uses descriptive analytic. The research sample was teenagers who were taken by multistage random sampling and who met the inclusion criteria were 50 respondents. Data collection in this study used an instrument using the Smartphone Addiction Scale (SAS) questionnaire. Results: results showed most gadget addiction is dependence level Low (46%), the level of dependence moderate (34%), very low level of dependence (18%), high dependency level (2%). Conclusion: There is a need for holistic nursing interventions for individuals and families with gadget addiction based on the level of dependence, it takes the participation of schools and the community in providing education on the negative impact of gadget addiction. Keywords: Addiction, Gadget, Adolescents

Abstract

Background: Painful medical procedures such as insertion of a peripheral IV line in a child can have long-lasting effects, such as increased sensitivity to future painful stimuli, avoidance of medical treatment, or posttraumatic distress. In nursing science, pain reduction in children can be done by using distraction techniques. In the era of 4.0, the use of robots in helping nurse care is no stranger. Socially-Assistive Robots are a type of social robot that has been used in helping children with ASD, cancer, cerebral palsy and even the elderly. Objective: To provide an overview and ideas from the results of a literature review about the possibility of applying Socially-Assistive Robots Using Empathy to reduce pain and distress during peripheral IV line insertion in children. Discussion: From the results of the study and review of 12 selected journals, it is concluded that Socially-Assistive Robots Using Empathy is a technology that needs to be developed and applied. Recommendation: It is hoped that Socially-Assistive Robots Using Empathy will be present in Indonesia and future researchers can test its effectiveness. Keywords: Socially-Assistive Robots, pain, distress, IV line insertion

Abstract

Gadgets are not only used for communication but also it is developed into devices that can do almost anything that supports activities in every aspect of human life. Excessive use of gadgets can put a person at risk of changing behavior. The purpose of this research was to determine The Correlation between of Gadget Toward Behavior Changes of Adolescents at SMP N 5 Bukittinggi, 2021.The type of this research was an analytic survey design with a cross sectional approach. The population was all students of class IX. They were 167 students.  By using quota Sampling technique, 86 students were chosen as the samples. The data were collected through questionnaires. Then, it was analyzed by univariate analysis was performed to determine the frequency distribution and bivariate analysis with the Chi-Square correlation test. The results showed that (89.5%) respondents with the use of gadgets were at risk category, namely> 2 hours a day and (58.1%) respondents were at risk of experiencing changes in behavior. Then, the result of this research obtained that there was a significant relationship between the use of gadgets and changes in adolescent behavior with a p value = 0.031 and an OR value = 5.793. In short, it is concluded that there was a relationship between excessive use of gadgets and changes in adolescent behavior at SMP Negeri 5 Bukittinggi in 2021. Then, it is expected that the results of this research can be used as a source of information for students regarding the use of gadgets to prevent or minimize the risk of behavior change such as health, social interactions, etc. Keywords               : Gadget use, Behavior Change, Adolescents.

Abstract

Background: Asthma is a condition in which the airways are narrowed due to hyperactivity to certain stimuli, which causes inflammation. Telehealth includes the use of phone calls, text messages, email, or online health portals that allow patients to communicate with healthcare providers. Method: Design using Literature Review, which is a study based on a summary of several studies related to the research topic that has been determined. Journals used through searches with databases from EBSCOhost, ProQuest and Clinical Key between 2017 and 2021. Results: Based on the journals collected, the use of Telehealth in children with Asthma is effective in increasing the level of adherence to treatment, reducing the frequency of hospitalization and reducing the frequency of not attending school. because of recurrence. Conclusions and Recommendations:Telehealth facilitate monitoring of children's conditions and control the level of child adherence to treatment, reduce recurrence rates so that the quality of life of children with asthma is better which then reduces mortality due to asthma. The author recommends that Telehealth can be implemented in Indonesia. Keywords: Telehealth, Asthma, Pediatric

Abstract

Background: Children are at risk for severe symptoms of tuberculosis. Most tuberculosis drug formulations have poor acceptance in children and require consistent adherence over a long period of time. The mobile-health application is a technology that can reach various levels of society, which is useful in the management of adherence to treatment of children with TB. Objective: To provide an overview and ideas about the application of the m-health system in Indonesia, especially in the area of nursing children with tuberculosis. Method: Literature review is a study conducted to analyze the literature that has been selected from various sources to become a conclusion of a new idea. Discussion: The m-health application is effectively used for nursing services for children, especially children who are being treated for tuberculosis. In the development of m-health technology, regulations and legal policies are needed to enable the application and integration of m-health technology with health services. Recommendation: It is hoped that further research can make m-health applications to improve medication adherence in children with tuberculosis and test its effectivenessKeywords: mobile health, medication adherence, TB in children

Abstract

Background: IDF reports that the number of people with Diabetes in 2019 was 463 million. This number will increase to 700 million in 2045. In, 2018 Riskesdas said that there was an increase in diabetes cases in Indonesia based on the results of blood glucose examinations from 6.9% in 2013 to 8.5% in 2018. The increase can be caused by the inability of the patient to carry out self-care optimally. This self-care ability can be assessed through the SDSCA instrument. The purpose of this study was to analyze self-care for people with diabetes in Bukittinggi.  Methods: Study was designed as descriptive analytic with survey. Data were collected using a Summary of Diabetes Self-Care Activities (SDSCA) questionnaire. Samples were taken by consecutive sampling for 155 respondents. Data were analysed by SPSS. Results: The results of this study indicate that self-care of people with diabetes are poor (16.1%), Averrage (66.5%), and good (17.4%). Conclusion: Primary health care is suggested to improve the health promotion programs, especially in terms of self-care for diabetes.
