Abstract

Capital structure is a balance between the use of the capital itself and the debt. It means how much equity and debt to be used, so that it can produce an optimal capital structure. This study aims to determine the effect of internal and external factors on the capital structure of the banking sector during the financial crisis of 2008-2009. Independent variables used are profitability, growth, asset structure, risk, size, liquidity and IHSG. Beside that, IHSG also has the function as a moderating variable.The method that is used for sample research is purposive sampling. It is based on certain criteria. The research was conducted on 72 samples of listed banks in Bank Indonesia, by using the data pooling. It is the combination between time series and the cross section data. Data analysis uses the analysis tools of regression test that was preceded by the classical assumptions, they are normality, multicollinearity, autocorrelation, and heteroscedasticity. Hypothesis test is done by using the F and T test.The result of the data analysis shows that significant profitability, growth, asset structure, risk, size and IHSG that gives the  affect to the capital structure of the bank.While liquidity does not affect the bank's capital structure. IHSG has given the proof that it does not moderate the internal variables of the bank's capital structure.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the prediction level of bankruptcy by the method of Altman Z Score on banking companies Go Public during the year 2010-2014, the prediction of performance by using intellectual capital in companies that Go Public during the year 2010-2014 and the influence between intellectual capital against the risk of bankruptcy on Go Public companies are battling for 2010-2014.This research uses quantitative method to know its direct effect. Meanwhile, to analyze the risk of bankruptcy using Altman Z-Score and to analyze intellectual capital using VAIC.The results of this study are a) During 2010 - 2014 the average banking indicated bankrupt 43.45%, 50.34% gray, and not bankrupt 6.21%. B) The average value of intellectual capital in 2010-2014 with the top category of 24.14%, good as much as 38.62%, common as much as 28.28% and bad as much as 8.97%. Thus it can be said that intellectual capital of banking in Indonesia is relatively good to support company performance. C) There is a significant negative influence between intellectual capital against bankruptcy risk. Keywords: Bankruptcy, Intellectual Capital

Abstract

This study aims to determine the optimization of the scheduling decision of the number of nurses at the PKU Muhammadiyah Surakarta Hospital using linear programming. The preparation of the schedule for the number of nurses assigned to this method can optimize the performance of nurses and reduce the costs incurred by the hospital for nurses' salaries by minimizing the objective function, namely the need for efficient nurses per shift. In this study the variables used are the decision variables for the number of nurses on duty. Decision variables are used to formulate objective functions and mathematical constraint functions.This research is a research with secondary data source. The data in the research was obtained by collecting administrative data at RS PKU Muhammadiyah Surakarta. The data used are data on the number of IGD patients and attendance data of IGD nurses in April 2018. Data analysis techniques used are linear programming using excel solver and SPSS.Based on the result of the solver, the morning shift requires at least 8 nurses, the day shift requires 8 nurses, and the night shift requires 12 nurses. While based on result of anova test, the value of significance (Sig.) Is 0,829> 0,05, so it can be concluded that statistically the average number of nurses from the three shifts is the same or no difference significantly if the hospital use 12 or 8 person nurse . However, when viewed from the operational point of view the difference of four people is certainly different because it will cause different costs. Keywords : Optimization, Scheduling, Linear Program, Integer.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of personality traits (locus of control) and need for achievement in generating competitive advantage of small and medium-sized enterprises ( SMEs ). The population in this study is the owner/manager/staff enterprise (SME) in Surakarta. The sampling technique was convenience sampling, the respondents were willing to be successfully met and the study's respondents. The analytical used in this study is descriptive analysis. A total of 32 respondents, the obtained results: 1. On the need for achievement, found that: all respondents enjoy their work, the majority of respondents enjoy and love to do challenging work, keep doing the job even though others have given up, and do not mind to work, while others have fun. 2. On the internal locus of control, found that: most of the respondents believe in the ability of self-determination, believe in control of his own plan, believe in control of his own life, believe in success due to his own abilities and skills, believe in the protection of self-interest.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of managerial factors, the environment of the intensity of strategic planning; examine the influence of organizational factors on the intensity of strategic planning; mnguji influence of organizational factors on the financial performance; examine the effect of the intensity of strategic planning to financial performance. To test this research used structural equation model (SEM) whereas the use of the most fundamental measure of the overall fit is Likelhood ratio chi-square (x2) using seven steps in this modeling. The population in this study is the manager BPR Central Java, sample taken 182 respondents. Results of this study show: first that the intensity level of strategic planning is not determined by the skills, confidence and experience in developing strategic planning manager. Both the intensity of strategic planning is also affected by organizational factors BPR which include size, structural and centralization, meaning that the larger the size businesses BPR with structural complexity are higher and the degree of centralization of authority given to the manager, the lower the intensity did the manager in preparing the strategic planning. Third the larger size BPR business with higher structural complexity and the degree of centralization of authority given to the manager, it will obtain the level of the higher financial performance shown by the profits, the level of ROE and petumbuhan deposits.

Abstract

The purpose of this reseach is to examine and analyze the influence of exchange rate and competitiveness core factors of the Term of trade in Indonesia, also the impact on the people’s purchasing power in Indonesia. This research used secondary data time series for 21 years since 1995 to 2015. The research method used explanatory research to explain the causal relationship between the variables in a model, through hypothesis testing. The analyzes employed statistical technique of linear regression with the software E-Views 7.The results of the researchs showed that these core factors exchange rate and competitiveness are simultaneously and partially give positive and significant effect on term of trade in Indonesia. Term of trade also gives positive and significant that influence the people’s purchasing power in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the relationship between product quality, service quality, price and customer satisfaction on customer loyalty. In addition, this research also aims to examine the effect of customer satisfaction as the mediating variable on the customer loyalty establishment process. Survey method selected to collected data. The population used was the customers who intend to be loyal to Hewlett Packard Indonesia branch. The sample was taken using convenience sampling, consisting of 200 respondents. The result of examination using Structural Equation Model (SEM) indicated that there was a positive significant between product quality on customer satisfaction, service quality on customer satisfaction, price on customer satisfaction and customer satisfaction on customer loyalty. The limitation and implication of this research also be discussed to give an understanding to practical aspect, theory and further study.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the effect of  transformational leadership on comittment  organizational; the effect transformational leadership on job satisfaction; team climate on job satisfaction and the effect of job satisfaction on comittment organizational.  The sample of research was the employees in PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) of Sukoharjo  consisting of 200 respondents. The method of sampling used was non probability sampling method and  quota sampling. Meanwhile the method of analyzing data used was Structural Equation Model (SEM).The result of hypothesis testing showed that transformational leadership affected negative and did not significantly on comittment organizational; transformational leadership affected significantly and positively the job satisfaction; team climate affected significantly and positively the job satisfaction; the job satisfation affected positively and significantly on comittment organizational and significantly mediated the effect transformational leadership and team climate on comittment organizational.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the differences in the performance of the JII Index in Indonesia and FBMHS in Malaysia using the Sharpe, Treynor and Jensen Alpha ratios.The type of this research is hypothesis testing by using purposive sampling techniques. The population in this study is all listed Islamic Indexes in Indonesia Stock Exchange and Bursa Malaysia. Two Indices are obtained from the sampling process, namely Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) and the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Hijrah Shariah Index (FBMHS). Object of this study is the monthly index return for the period of January 2009 to December 2011, amounting to 36 points of data.Hypothesis testing is intended to determine whether there are significant differences between the performance of JII and FBMHS on Sharpe, Treynor and Jensen aspects. The tests carried out using Two Independent Samples Mean Comparison. The results showed that there was no significant difference between the performance of JII and FBMHS on the Sharpe, Treynor and Jensen Alpha ratios.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of credit, innovation, and business management on the financial performance of savings and loan cooperatives in 8 districts in East Java. Technique of data retrieval is done by interview and kuisoner. In addition to interviews, researchers also used the financial statements of savings and credit cooperatives in 2005-2008 to determine the value of ROI (Return On Investment) on each saving and loan cooperatives. Data analysis technique in this research is done by technical analysis of inferential data. The results showed that the amount of credit, cost of innovation, and business management have a significant effect on ROI.
