Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of commercialization on the productivity of MFIs in Indonesia by using variable profitability consisting of proxies ROA, ROE, NIM and variable liabilities consisting of proxies size of the loan portfolio and leverage. The research is explanatory research with purposive sampling technique in MFIs in Indonesia to use data sources Microfinance Information Exchange from 2010-2015. The samples used in this study were 40 rural banks.Results showed that the profitability and liabilities simultaneously significant positive effect on Yield Rate. And partially, ROE ROA NIM significant positive effect on Yield Rate with a significance level of 5%, 5% and 5%. While the loan portfolio positive effect was not significant to Yield Rate, and leverage negative effect not significant to Yield Rate. Keywords: productivity, microfinance institutions, profitability, liabilities

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between drive through service and counter service in KFC Manahan by using reliability theory. In this study it can be seen which service is superior and what configuration can be applied. This study also attempts to test the researcher’s findings about reliability configuration with what KFC Manahan claims to.This research is a research with primary data source. The data in this research is obtained by observation and direct interview in KFC Manahan for 2 weeks long, in June 2018. To analyze the data, this study used reliability concept with excel solver.The result of this research is that the Counter Service (89%) has the higher score than the Drive Through (21%) Service. The results also show the relevance with the claims of KFC Manahan, and the Parallel Configuration is used. Keywords: Drive Through, Counter Service, Configuration, Reliability

Abstract

The research aims to explore the condition of batik small medium enterprises in Sragen to improve the income and welfare of batik community, support the development of creative industry, and enhance the regional economy. The objectives of this study were: (1) to explore the potentials of batik industry in supporting the development of creative industry based on local wisdom, (2) to identify the opportunities to develop batik industry in Sragen. This research employed descriptive-qualitative approach. Data were collected using several methods including observation and interview. Data analysis techniques applied in this study consisted of interactive analysis (Miles & Huberman, 1984) and internal-external analysis. The results show that the raw materials used mostly by the batik industry are cotton (prima and primisima). Most of the raw materials are from Surakarta. Raw materials are purchased both in cash and credit. The proportion of cash and credit purchase are almost equally the same. Most of the batik small medium enterprises use chemical colouring substances to produce batik. Most of their products are handmade batik (batik tulis), printed batik, stamped batik, and combination between stamped and handmade. Most of the batik are produced manually. Most of the buyers demand cotton batik produced using combination technique and natural colour. Batik of 250 cm size are preferred.

Abstract

This study aims to find empirical evidence on the effect of ownership on the performance of banks in Indonesia. This study uses secondary data with the observation period from 2005 to 2011. The population used in this study include domestic banks, foreign banks, state owned banks, and private banks, which have been listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange. With purposive sampling method, 21 samples obtained.Proxies of the dependent variable, performance, are Return on Assets and Non-Performing Loans. While the independent variable, ownership, are proxied by Domestic-Foreign (DF) and State-owned Private (SP). In addition there are control variables like diversification (DIV), unutilized funds (GAP), firm size (SIZE), and firm age (AGE).The results of the test show that there is no significant effect of ownership on bank performance, except for the variable SP to NPL. The SP variable shows a negative significant effect on NPL. These results suggest that private banks have a better control on their credit risk. These indicates that using the DF and SP variables as proxies of ownership, to measure performance, which is proxied by ROA and NPL, are only relevant for the variable SP to NPL.

Abstract

The study sets out to examine the effect of shared leadership on knowledge sharing within the team. Data was collected through a survey using a questionnaire to 157 respondents from 34 students organization in UNS and UGM. This study applies the regression to investigate the research model. The results showed that the shared leadership has a significant positive effect on knowledge sharing within the team. The implications of the review for future research and practices are also discussed.

Abstract

The purpose of this researces was to examine the effect of training and development, motivation, and organizational commitment on employee performance, to examine the effect of training-development and motivation on employee performance mediated by organizational commitment. The Study sample are 75 employee of PT. PLN (Persero) P3BJB APP Madiun consist of 50 employee of APP Madiun and 25 employee of Substation of APP Madiun. Sampling Technique is a purposive sampling dan data collection technique is convenience sampling.The Research shows that training and development has little influence on employee performance directly while indirectly are significant. Motivation and Organizational Commitment shows that has a significant influence on employee performance either directly or indirectly. And also organizational commitment mediates the effect of training-development and motivation on employee performance in PT. PLN (Persero) P3BJB APP Madiun.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine the difference of investor reaction on rights issue announcement pursuant to the purpose of using fund in Indonesia capital market. Investor react positively if the most using fund of right issue for investment and investor react negatively if the most using fund of right issue for debt payment. This study also examine influence offering price of right issue to investor reaction.The samples are 55 firms that listing the rights issues in Indonesia Stock Exchange. Event study with 21 event window (from day -10 to day +10) are used to investigate the investor's reaction. Investor reaction is proxyed by abnormal return that was calculated by market-adjusted model. To investigate the determinants in investor's reactions are used linier regression between cumulative abnormal return for several days (determined based on significant abnormal return) as dependent variable and the purpose of using fund with dummy and offering price as independent variables.The conclusions of this study are: (1) investor react to right issue announcement, proved by significant abnormal return around right issue announcement date; (2) investor react positively to right issue announcement that mostly using fund for investment; (3) investor react negatively to right issue announcement that mostly using fund for debt payment; (4) offering price of right issue have positively influential to investor reaction.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of concentration (Herfindahl index, concentration ratio) and market share (Market Share) torisk taking (Zscore) on go public banks in Indonesia. This study using purposive sampling method with a sample size of 40 biggest bank by assets in the country of Indonesia in 2010-2014.These results indicate that concentration with Herfindahl index proxies positive and significant effect on risk-taking. While the concentration of the proxy Concentration ratio and market share but not significant positive effect on risk-taking.

Abstract

Livestock in Indonesia are mostly smallholder farms which have the following characteristics, including small scale businesses and using simple technology. One effort to overcome these problems is to carry out technological transformation. The introduction of technology for the maintenance of Peranakan Ettawa (PE) goats has been given to farmers, but not many of these technologies have been adopted by farmers who have certain characteristics. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of farmers who influence the technology adoption rates of Ettawa Peranakan goat breeding. The materials used were Peranakan Ettawa breeders who were members of the Mantep Makaryo, Subur and Tirto livestock groups in the village of Hargotirto, Kokap District, Kulon Progo Regency. The method used in this study is the survey method. The study was conducted from April to October 2018. The analysis used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis, namely the analysis used to determine the factors that influence the rate of technology adoption. The total respondents used in this study were 74 breeders. The results of the analysis showed that at the same time the characteristics of breeders, age, education level, number of family dependents, experience of breeding, number of lactation PE goats, and scale of ownership of PE goats had an influence on 67.20% goat maintenance technology adoption. Partially showing a significant effect (P <0.01) is the experience of farming, education level (P <0.05) while the number of dependents shows the effect on technology adoption (P <0.1). Keywords: Adoption, Characteristics of breeders, PE Goats

Abstract

This studyaimed toanalyze the influence ofcareer development to job satisfaction; the effect of salary to job satisfaction; the effect on turn over intentions salary; the effecton employee commitment job stability; the effect of job satisfaction on employee commitment; the effect of job satisfaction on turn over intentions; as well as the influence of employee commitment to turn over intentions. Samples were employees of PT. Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk Main Branch Office Surakarta that as many as 105 respondents. The method used for sampling are using non-probability sampling technique that is proportionate random sampling. Mean while analytical methods used are Structural EquationModel (SEM).Results for hypothesis testing indicates that career development significant positive effect on job satisfaction; Salari essignificant positive effect on job satisfaction; Salaries no significant effect on turn over intentions; job stability significant positive effect on employee commitment; job satisfaction significant positive effect on employee commitment; job satisfaction no significant effect on turn over intentions; and employee commitment significant negative effect on turn over intentions.
