Abstract

The objective of this research is to determine the significance of the effectof growth companies on capital structure and firm value, the effect of ownershipstructure on capital structure and firm value and the effect of capital structure onfirm value.This study population is a property company in Indonesia Stock Exchange in theperiod 2007 to 2009. The data used in this study is secondary data that the annualfinancial statements of 36 property companies on the Stock Exchange. Determinationof the sample in this study is based on random sampling technique of purposivesampling criteria are property companies with complete financial data in accordancewith the studied variables.The Model of this study using path analysis, the application of the tools of SPSSversion 13.0. The results of this study are at a significance level of 5% are found tosignificantly influence the growth of the company on capital structure. The growthof the company to the value of the company there is no significant effect. Further tothe ownership structure on capital structure there is no significant effect then thesame result is obtained, which is the ownership structure has no significant effecton firm value. The effect of capital structure on firm value where there is a negativesignificant effect.For the corporate, the best point of capital structure in many level, for the fund,can rise down the firm value. Furthermore it is recommended for further research toexamine other variables that effect the capital structure and the company’s growthbeyond the company’s ownership structure in addition to the property.

Abstract

A company can not serve all customers in the vast market. It should observe themarket segment it can serve most effectively. A marketer should perform a strategyof 3 (three) major steps; identify and classify different customers (segmenting);choose one or more market segment to approach (targeting); and to make image oropinion and to communicate the major benefit to the customers that distinguish it tothe other (positioning). And this research aims to formulate a particular marketingstrategy; which consist of segmenting, targeting and positioning of “ Kopi BubukBali Banyuatis” The study was done in Denpasar, 140 sample was taken usingnon probability random sampling method, accidentally. Ordinal data 1 to 5 Likertscale was taken using questionnaire, transformed into interval data using IntervalSuccessive Method. The market segment of Kopi Banyuatis was formulated basedon the analysis of consumers behaviour and psychographic using Cluster Analysiswith K- Mean Cluster, result 3 clusters that are cross-tabulated with demographicvariable to obtain segmented consumer’s profile. The computer software SPSSVer 13.0 and Microsoft Excel-XP were used to assist all calculation steps in theanalysis. The output are: Segment-1, 42,9%, frequent consumption level, readinessto buy is high because they understand the product, positive attitude toward theproduct and its benefit. In terms of psychographic, segment-1 are active, modern,optimistic and secure.Various income, from low into high class. Potential as maintarget of the market. Segment-2, 35,7%, infrequent consumption level, moderate inreadiness to buy, positive attitude toward the product and its benefit. Psychographic:simple, optimistic. Potential as market target next to segment-1. Segment-3, 21,4%,consumption level rare, readiness to buy low, negative toward product and its benefit.Psychographic: logic, normative, homebody. Less potential as market target. Basedon the market size, structure, and the goal and capacity of the company , segment-1choosen as the target of the company. Product positioning on customers head andtheir perception are mapped using Correspondent Analysis and Multi DimensionalScaling (MDS). It shows that Kopi Banyuatis is in tight competition with Kopi BolaDunia regarding quality, discount, gift, and product diversity. Its advantages in quality, discount, gifts and product diversity will not be effective in the long run, because Kopi Banyuatis could easily imitate by its competitors. That’s why itsmarketing mix strategy upon the choosen segment, and product positioning shouldbe adjusted. Outstanding packaging will distinguish it from others. Various taste forthose who always like to try new product, and equal price for the middle-low classconsumers should be considered. Outstanding outlets make them easily seen by thecustomers and other promotion mix through advertising, sales promotion, publicrelations and personal selling should also be considered.

Abstract

The arrangement of office lay out in the company need a good attentionin order that the good lay out will give some benefit among others : the work willrunning well , a better traffic of work , and will be easier in controlling .The aim of this research is to know if there an influence of the office lay out to theemployees mentality in the Mineral Water Company Pt. Tirta Artha Buana Mulia.Some hypothesis that applied are there is a sinificant influence of office lay out tothe employee’s mentality mentality in The Mineral Water Company Pt. Tirta ArthaBuana Mulia. The population in this research is an employees of The MineralWater Company Pt. Tirta Artha Buana Mulia with 84 samples . The method of datacollecting is using correlational decriptif , and regression analysis technique whichis counted using version 16.0 SPSS analysis . The result of this research is shownthat the hypothesis of office lay out is accepted and significanttly influenced to the employees menthality in The Mineral Water Company Pt. Tirta Artha Buana Mulia,which is proofed by the figures of t-count = 14.125 is bigger than the table value= 1.989 using believable degree of 95% and failure degree of 5%. Meanwhile theinfluence of the office lay out to the employee’s mentality in the The Mineral WaterCompany Pt. Tirta Artha Buana Mulia is 70.9% and the rest is 29.1% influencedby unresearched factors. Based on this research , it is suggested to the head of TheMineral Water Company Pt. Tirta Artha Buana Mulia to keep giving attention to theoffice lay out such as the desk , chair , light , and cleanness , in others to support thework of the office so the employees menthality will be raised .

Abstract

Corporate governance mechanism is a system of corporate governance,which refers to the division of authority between all parties (shareholders, managementand board of directors) that determines the direction and financial performance.This study aimed to determine the effect of corporate governance mechanismsare proxied by institutional ownership, independent commissioners, managerialownership, quality audit and the audit committee of the company’s bond ratings onIndonesian public. The population in this study is that corporate bonds listed on theIndonesia Stock Exchange and is still in circulation from 2008 to 2010. Method ofsampling done by purposive sampling method, and based on the criteria specifiedthen the number of samples were 140 samples. Hypothesis testing techniques usedmultiple linear regression analysis with the tools of SPSS version 18.0 applications. The results showed that: (1) corporate governance mechanisms are proxied by anindependent commissioner, audit quality and audit committee significant positiveeffect on bond ratings. (2) two other proxy of institutional ownership and managerialownership is not a significant positive effect on corporate bond ratings. Based onthe results of the study suggested further research to investigate using other proxiesof corporate governance mechanisms such as by using the Corporate GovernancePerception Index (CGPI) as additional variables that are used in this study.

Abstract

Themanufacturingcompanyisoneofthecompaniesthatrequireahuge capitaltocover itsoperatingcosts. To meet the company’s manufacturingcapital into the stock market. The aim of this study was to determine the effect ofEPS and ROA on stock prices on companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchangeeither simultaneously or partially. Data used in this study are: qualitative data andquantitative data, the data sources are secondary data. The method of data collectionwas done by the study documentation, whereas analytical techniques used are: TestClassical Assumption, multiple linear regression and hypothesistesting.The results of this study are Earning per Share (EPS) has a positive and significantimpact on stock prices so that the hypothesis is accepted. Retun on Assets (ROA) hasno significant positive effect on stock prices so that the hypothesis is rejected. Earning per Share (EPS) and Retun on Assets (ROA) together have a positive and significant impact on stock prices so that the hypothesis is accepted. As for the advice given isthat investors should pay attention to the EPS of a company, with the intention as amaterial consideration in making investment decisions in the stock market. Investorsshould consider the ROA despite having no significant influence on the developmentof the stock because ROA is often used to measure the efficiency of the use of assetsin a company.

Abstract

Every company, whether engaged in the production of goods or services,the goal is to stay alive and thrive. These objectives can be achieved by maintainingand to greater profits and earnings. This can be done if the company is able toincrease its sales volume. Tiara Dewata Denpasar is a company engaged in thesupermarket business and Tiara Dewata Denpasar want to achieve it. But achievingthat goal will be hampered due to increasingly competitive business competition in thesupermarket field. Can be seen from the number of supermarkets which operates 24supermarkets in the city ofDenpasar with complete infrastructure and also coupledwith a fairly dynamic consumer Events. Thereby further inhibiting the company toincrease its sales volume. Therefore to overcome this Dewata Tiara Denpasar needto figure out an effective marketing strategy. Issue in this study is whether the mosteffective strategies to increase sales volume at Tiara Dewata Denpasar. And aims tofind an effective marketing strategy to increase the company’s sales volume. In thisstudy the authors collected data through documentation, interviews, observationsand questionnaires with qualitative data analysis technique that uses quantitativemethods to a SWOT analysis. SWOT analysis of the calculation results that TiaraDewata Denpasar located in quadrant 1 with a marketing strategy of aggressivegrowth strategy, where the strategy is to utilize and develop the strengths andopportunities (SO) combined with a more mainstream marketing mix are productand price. So, to increase the sales volume of the company, effective marketingstrategies that must be implemented by Tiara Dewara Denpasar is an aggressivegrowth strategy with the utilization and development of strengths and opportunities(SO) is a combination of product and price.

Abstract

The objectives of this research is to determine whether there is influenceof the office layout and the physical work environment on employee performanceand simultaneous partial, as well as to determine which of the two factors which arepredominant affect the performance of employees at PT. Surya Cahaya Inti Denpasar.Factors office layout to note is the shortest distance principle, the principle of a seriesof work, the principles concerning the use of all rooms, the principle of the changein the composition of the workplace, the principle of integration activities, and jobsatisfaction for employees. Factors While the physical work environment is the air,sound, light, color, safety, cleanliness, and space.Through this study the authorspropose the following hypothesis: There is the influence of the office layout and the physical work environment on the performance of employees of PT. Surya Cahaya Inti Denpasar and simultaneous partial. The population in this study were employeesof PT. Surya Cahaya Inti Denpar that about 20 people. Data collection methods usedin this study descriptive correlational, multiple regression analysis techniques werecalculated using SPSS version 13.0 anlisis to facilitate researchers in data processingto be fast and efficient. The results and discussion indicate that the hypothesis ofoffice layout and the physical work environment is partially positive and significantinfluence.From the results of the study also showed that the hypothesis of officelayout and the physical work environment simultaneously positive and significanteffect.While the most dominant factor affecting the performance of employees is thephysical work environment factors.Based on this study suggested to the Chairman ofPT. Surya Cahaya Inti Denpasar to keep attention to the arrangement of the officespace and the physical work environment Company.

Abstract

The success of the empowerment of human resources within anorganization is realized by the performance of its employees. Employees are animportant resource for the organization, because it has the talent, energy, andcreativity that is needed by the organization, not to mention the Regional WaterCompany (PDAM) Tirta Mangutama Badung regency. In this study, the objectivesof this study were: (1) To determine the effect of organizational climate on jobsatisfaction, (2) To determine the effect of organizational climate on employeeperformance, (3) To determine the effect of job satisfaction on employeeperformance, (4) To determine the effect of gender in moderating the relationshipbetween organizational climate, job satisfaction on employee performance.In getting the answers to the above research objectives in the census questionnairedistributed to 160 employees as respondents. Collected data were analyzed with theStructural Equation Model (SEM). In the first SEM method to evaluate the normalityof the data, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and then analyzes the influence of theSEM. Full results of the initial model showed that the model is not good so the modelneeds to be modified in order to obtain a model that approached Goodness of Fit.Results of this study indicate that the three hypotheses raised showed a significantpositive effect, namely: Effect of Organizational Climate (X1) of the EmployeeSatisfaction (Y1), Effect of Organizational Climate (X1) of the Employee Performance(Y2), Influence of Employee Satisfaction (Y1) the Employee Performance (Y2). Thereis the influence of Organizational Climate (X1), Employee Satisfaction (Y1) of theEmployee Performance (Y2). Employee Performance means variation of 79.90% canbe explained by the Organizational Climate and Job Satisfaction. There is also theinfluence of Employee Satisfaction (Y1), the Employee Performance (Y2). EmployeePerformance means variation of 27.90% influenced by the Employee Satisfaction. Fromthe results of the model turns moderating Gender male debilitating relationship betweenvariables Organizational Climate, Job Satisfaction and Employee Performance,Gender Women are not given effect to the models linkage raised in this study.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of direct and indirect communication,organizational culture, and job satisfaction on employee performance in Pui SaronBali Hotel Group. The results obtained from this study are: (1) there is positivecommunication, organizational culture, and job satisfaction is directly on theperformance of employees at Puri Saron Hotel Group Bali, (2) there is a positiveindirect effect between organizational culture on employee performance throughmediation of job satisfaction, (3) job satisfaction is not a variable mediating theindirect relations communications and employee performance at Puri Saron HotelGroup Bali. The greatest indicator of the role of each variable are: (1) action oncommunication, (2) integration of the organizational culture, (3) satisfaction withpromotion on job satisfaction, and (4) ability to cooperate in the performance ofemployee.
