ABSTRACTPeer pressure is pressure on individuals in adjusting and following the rules of the peer group. Motivation to stop smoking is a necessity from within individual to stop smoking behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of peer pressure on motivation to stop smoking in adolescents. The research method used is a quantitative method with research subjects adolescents in Malang with 150 adolescents. Data collection techniques using accidental sampling and the data is processed using SPSS version 21. Data analysis techniques using simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that there was peer pressure on the motivation to stop smoking in adolescents with a significance value of 0.010 <0.05 indicating that peer pressure had a significant effect on quitting smoking motivation. After that, it can be seen r square of 0.044 which means that the peer pressure variable contributes 4.4% to the motivation to stop smoking.

Learning achievement is influenced by several factors such as internal factors or external factors. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of self-efficacy and social support of peers on learning achievement simultaneously or together. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling in one of the existing SMA N in Woha District, Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. The subjects in this study were 150 high school students in class X. The method of data collection in this study uses a scale of self-efficacy and social support of peers and reporr cards. The results of the multiple regression test analysis showed that self-efficacy and social support of peers simultaneously or simultaneously affect the learning achievement with an influence contribution of 25,0%.

Preschool children will pass transitions period from Kindergarten into elementary school which has new requirements. Transition period can work efficiently if children have had the preparation of “ready for school”. The factors which influence the school readiness is the involvement of parents. Parental involvement is needed because it will create continuity between children's education at home and at school. This research aimed to determine the effect of parental involvement on school readiness in preschool children. This research method used quantitative methods with a sampling technique of random sampling. The subjects of the research were parents who had preschool children of 100 respondents. The instrument used the PIQ and SRQ (Indonesian standard). Data analysis used simple linear regression test. The results showed F value = 33.211, p < 0.01 that there was positive effect on parents’ involvement toward significant school readiness with home-based involvement having strong relations from other dimensional.

ABSTRACT College students are in early adulthood developmental phase, which individuals usually try to gain closeness by establishing committed relationship to other individuals such as dating. It supposed to lead to premarital sexual behavior. In dating relationships someone usually do direct contact with his/her partner. These behaviors done to meet the need for attention, support and affection called the needs of affiliation. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between the needs of affiliation and premarital sexual behavior in college students. Research subjects were 150 college students who are dating, collected by quota sampling technique, and analyzed by Pearson's product moment correlation method. The results showed correlation coefficient (r) of 0.180 and significant value of 0.014 < 0.05, means that there is positive significant correlation between the needs of affiliation and premarital sexual behavior in students who are dating.

Early marriage is a wedding done by an underage couple whose preparations are not said to be ripe, such as physical preparation, mental preparation and matter. Because it does not have a mature preparation to encourage the occurrence of a biceking or conflict in his marriage and affect his satisfaction. A conflict or problem needs a communication in it. Good commissioning is an effective communication which is an action or activity undertaken to maintain the relationship by conveying something with what it is, not cutting the conversation of the adversary, and going through the advice given by the interlocutor. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of effective communication on marriage satisfaction in couples who do early marriage. The type of research used is simple linear regression with research subjects 100 couples who marry early with a range of ages 16-19 years. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The results of research showed that there was an influence between effective communication and marriage satisfaction in couples who performed early marriage with a value of 0.000.

Kehadiran seorang anak yang merupakan harapan bagi orang tua. Harapan orang tua memiliki anak yang terlahir normal, sehat fisik maupun psikis. Akan tetapi, tidak semua anak lahir dengan sempurna sesuai harapan orang tua. tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji tingkat kekuatan karakter yang dimiliki oleh orang tua dengan anak berkebutuhan khusus. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif deskriptif. Adapun alat ukur yang digunakan adalah skala values in action theory. dari ke 24 character strength atau kekuatan karakter yang diteliti, Berdasar hasil penelitian terhadap seratus orangtua, terdapat 5 aspek yang memiliki total nilai tertinggi dibandingkan dengan karakter lainnya. 5 aspek tersebut diantaranya adalah spirituality (kerohanian), gratitude (rasa bersyukur), hopefulness (harapan), forgiveness (rasa untuk memaafkan),dan curiosity (rasa keingintahuan).

Individu adalah bagian dari masyarakat. Sebab itu, kepribadian individu juga dipengaruhi oleh konteks sosial masyarakat di mana individu itu hidup. Dalam 50 tahun terakhir misalnya, kita mengamati lompatan-lompatan teknologi yang mengubah pola relasi sosial dan kebiasaan-kebiasaan dasar masyarakat. Apalagi di Indonesia dimana industrialisasi dan modernisasi terjadi bersamaan. Meski demikian, nampaknya belum cukup bukti penelitian yang menguji asumsi tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat gambaran kepribadian orangtua dari empat generasi. Skala kepribadi Big Five diadministrasikan kepada 80 subjek yang merupakan orangtua yang berasal dari empat generasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan pada aspek kepribadian emotional stability dan openness to experience. Hal itu mengindikasikan bahwa semakin muda generasi, orangtua semakin memiliki keterbukaan terhadap perubahan yang lebih tinggi namun stabilitas emosional yang lebih rendah. Implikasi perubahan tersebut pada pola pengasuhan akan dibahas lebih lanjut.

Mahasiswa membuat seseorang memiliki peran baru dalam dunia Pendidikan di Perguruan Tinggi. Ditemukan banyak perubahan dalam kehidupan barunya tersebut sehingga membutuhkan kemampuan penyesuaian diri yang baik. Kemampuan penyesuaian diri yang kurang baik dapat menyebabkan seorang mahasiswa mengalami stress. Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai dasar acuan pembinaan kemahasiswaan yang lebih sesuai dengan karakteristik masing masing individu yang selanjutnya dikelompokkan berdasar karakteristik yang berdekatan. Menjadi dasar pemberian perlakuan yang tepat agar hasil pembelajaran menjadi optimal. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala stress dan penyesuaian diri. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui gambaran stress dan penyesuaian diri mahasiswa. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 2320 mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan bahwa mahasiswa yang dalam kategori stres sedang sebanyak 55% , sebanyak 45 % dalam kategori stres rendah, dan tidak ditemukan tingkat stress yang dalam kategori tinggi. Adapun Penyesuaian diri mahasiswa dalam kategori sedang sebanyak 88%, sebanyak 11% berada pada level penyesuaian diri rendah, dan 1% yang berada pada level tinggi.

The role of religiosity is needed to developing resilience behavior in students in Islamic boarding schools so that students can overcome existing problems despite being under pressure. One of the factors that can influence resilience is religiosity, religiosity is needed in a student as a solution if a problem occurs even though the student is in a depressed state because of the many activities carried out in Islamic boarding schools. The purpose of this research is to find out how much influence the religiosity variable has on resilience. In this study, researchers used quantitative research with a sampling technique that is stratified random sampling. In this study, researchers used boarding school students as its subjects. With a range of grades 7,8,9 in junior high school level and 10,11,12 in 221 levels of respondents in Batu City. The instruments in this study used the Seven dimension of Religiosity scale from Kendler (2003) and Connor Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC 25). Analysis of the data used in this study is a simple linear regression test. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence between the variables of religiosity on resilience variables. (R2 = 0.741; p = 0,000)

Students have various kinds of demands and obstacles on academic assignments that can make students experiencing academic stress. Academic stress make students feel uncomfortable, less focus, lack of concentration, and uncomfortable with academic activities which is called academic flow. The purpose of this was to determine the relationship between academic stress and academic flow in students. This research is a quantitative study with subjects being psychology students at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang 7st grade, and 174 subjects. The sampling technique used is nonprobability sampling, namely purposive sampling and analysis techniques using product moment correlation test with SPSS 24. The results of data analysis obtained the value of r = -,359, p = 0.000 (sig <0.01) meaning this study shows the relationship between the two variables and in accordance with the hypothesis that the higher the academic stress the lower the academic flow in students. Vice versa, the lower the academic stress, the higher the academic flow in students. The effective contribution of academic stress to academic flow is 12.9% and the remainder is 87.1%, influenced by other factors.
