Abstract

In a university, determining a study program for prospective students is something that is often done to focus on prospective students so that they are in accordance with their competencies. This is a very important hope, because prospective students can develop self-competence according to their academic abilities. This research method uses several stages, including data cleaning, data collection, determining criteria, determining probability, and final testing. The Naïve Bayes method with a case study at the Private Madrasah Aliyah PAB 6 Helvetia and testing of 100 student data with an accuracy rate of 90% is a previous research. The purpose of this study was to make a classification of majors based on the criteria, while in this study the aim of making a classification of study programs for prospective new students. In this study, the same method was used but the number of data records was different, the test data was 1671 student data records, the data was obtained from 2256 data records.From the total data records were 2256, after data cleaning and data collection were carried out, 1671 test data were obtained. In the test data, there are several probability values that contain various criteria and attributes used to determine the classification of study programs for prospective new students. The number of data records is divided into 2 parts, the first is used for training data with 1158 data with a percentage of 70%, and testing data with 513 data records with a percentage of 30%. From the test results with the same method with different number of data records, the accuracy rate is from 90% to 96% with an accuracy value of 96.68%. From this accuracy value shows that the classification results obtained show the Pharmacy DIII study program.

Abstract

Mathematics is a lesson that is still a frightening specter for some students. There are several methods used to make mathematics fun to learn. One of them is to package material in mathematics to be more attractive and interesting, especially for children this can make them become interested in learning mathematics. The developed using research and development methods. This method begins by exploring the problem, collecting data needed, designing the product to be developed, validating the product design, testing the use of the system to be developed, revising the product, testing the product, revising the product and product design if there are errors or deficiencies and the last is mass production of product. This research aims to develop an interactive multimedia-based mathematics learning which can later be optimized to increase student interest in learning mathematics and be used to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the ability of the copper honeycomb type DPF to the engine performance of diesel engines. The object of research was the 1996 Isuzu Panther engine, which was equipped with one standard exhaust and three experimental exhausts with DPF technology with a variety of mesh sizes 20, 15, and 10 mm. The findings of this study are that the DPF 10 mm is the best variation when compared to the other two variations in terms of increasing engine performance. The reason is that the smaller the mesh, the better the trapping of fine dust particles. Besides, the temperature inside the DPF is also increasing. Also, the use of the right casing design will make the turbulence of the exhaust gas flow lower. Furthermore, the temperature continues to grow, and the little turbulence of the exhaust gas flow will cause self-burning in the DPF. The occurrence of self-burning will have an impact on the complete combustion process, which affects increasing torque and engine power by 2.29-11.68% and 2.94-11.93%, respectively, when compared with standard exhaust.

Abstract

According to the Head of the Indonesian National Police (Kapolri) General Idham Azis, the number of deaths from accidents that occurred in 2019 reached 23,530. A total of 40% of the deaths from traffic accidents are caused by human error and the influence of alcohol. The high number of deaths from traffic accidents due to the influence of alcohol is a concern for all of us. Excessive alcohol consumption is dangerous when driving because consuming alcohol will affect a person's temperament and worsen driving behavior by reducing awareness, leading to accidents. A system that is able to detect the alcohol level of a vehicle driver that can be monitored anywhere is needed, as information to alert motorists to the influence of alcohol in order to prevent traffic accidents online and on a web-based basis. Using the MQ-3 sensor for alcohol detection and the ESP8266 processor in WeMos WiFi.  The average percentage error in the measurement of the measured sample was found to have an error value of: 3.6%. Research has also succeeded in reading alcohol levels through websites.

Abstract

The electroplating method has the aim of producing a surface that has characteristics by the coating metal. The coating process requires a device that can place the ions from the coating material (anode) into the coated metal (cathode) through an electro-deposition process. Parameters such as temperature affect the electroplating process and greatly determine the coating result. The purpose of this study was to design the electroplating device, as well as to test the coating process using CuSO4 anode. The research method was carried out with an experimental approach through the manufacture of electroplating tools and coating testing of time variations of 20, 26, 32, 38, and 44 minutes and temperatures of 60, 65, 70, 75, and 80 oC. The results of the electroplating device design consist of frame components, plating and rinsing tubs, electrical systems, and cathode hanger. The coating results obtained the highest layer thickness 2.890 μm at a temperature of 80 oC for 40 minutes.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology, sunlight can be converted into electrical energy. But there are problems that arise in the performance of solar panels, one of which is the panel temperature is too high. Therefore to overcome the decrease in performance, the panel temperature needs to be maintained. In this study aims to analyze the temperature settings on solar panel cooling using variations in air velocity to improve photovaltic performance. Solar simulators is used in this ekperiment and carried out in a closed room conditions. solar panel is placed in a special box called a cooler box and four thermocouples are placed at the top of the panel and 2 others at the bottom of the panel to evaluate the temperature changes that occurs on the panel. An air blower is combined with an anemometer to provide variations in air velocity for cooling the panels. From the results of solar panel testing without cooling obtained in the temperature range of 38 - 52.875⁰C produces electrical efficiency ranging from 3.014 - 3.134%. Whereas in testing using cooling with varying air velocity of 2, 3, 4, and 5 m/s in the temperature range of 33.43 -40.5°C produces electrical efficiency ranging from 3.106 - 3.206 %.

Abstract

Foot prosthetics is one of the needs of the disabled feet as a tool for activities. The ankle prosthetic model is proposed as an alternative prosthetic model that is affordable to people with disabilities. The model is designed and analyzed to be able to withstand the average weight of a human being in the heel strike, midstance, and toe-off position and has a safe safety factor value. The research method used is the model design and model analysis consisting of preprocessing, solution, and post-processing. The analysis results showed that the greatest deformation occurred in the toe-off position of 1.52 mm when given a load of 500 N and 0.036 mm when given a moment of 5000 Nmm. The greatest strain energy was located in the forefoot area at a toe-off position of 0.6 mJ. Maximum stress also occurred at the toe-off position of 5.71 MPa. With a safety factor of 4.7, this model is categorized as safe because the stress that occurs is still below the yield strength limit of the ABS material.

Abstract

This research is an important step in energy planning which is the main in electricity planning in the long-term forecast for the demand and supply of energy supply. A simple model is presented using LEAP (Long Term Alternative Energy Planning System) as a broadcasting tool and Central Java as a case study case for this research. This research discusses future energy needs. Electricity needs in the household, industrial, business, and community sectors are calculated based on data on participation, electricity consumption, installed electricity generation capacity, electrification ratio, and electricity strengthening. The base year of this research is 2020 and 2045 is the final period of this forecast. The results of this study indicate that energy needs in Central Java will increase by an average of 23.44% in 2045 or five times compared to 2020 by taking into account various factors of regional economic growth and electricity demand each year

Abstract

Mask Dance is one of Cirebon's traditional arts in Indonesia and has a variety of types and meanings in accordance with the symbols depicting characters such as in popular stories. The young generation in their activities cannot be separated from using internet technology, one of which is social media, so that it affects their less concern for art and traditions that have been inherent in society. From these problems, it is necessary to make Mask Dance learning media by utilizing android technology. This study uses the ADDIE method through the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation as a guide in building learning tools. The results of this study are an Android-based application of Mask Dance learning media to introduce Mask Dance starting from history, descriptions, types of dance, how to dance to Mask Dance, and quizzes to evaluate understanding of learning. With this learning media, it can make it easier for students to learn mask dance among students and other young generations. From the test results using a black box, it shows that the functions in the application have been running according to their function, while the test results to the respondents obtained a value of 84.27% with good criteria for the application so that this application can be used as a medium for learning Mask Dance.

Abstract

This research is expected to find out how to increase biogas production. Efforts are made by varying the ingredients for making biogas: Variations in biogas materials are 100% cow dung, and bagasse: yeast with a volume ratio of 3: 1, cow dung + bagasse with a volume ratio of 3: 1 plus 100 grams of tape yeast.  The test uses 4 kg of material in a 6 liters capacity tube. The result is the material of cow dung   coupled with bagasse and yeast tape produces the most amount of biogas when compared to other variations with the most results. The total amount of biogas originating from cow dung plus bagasse and tape yeast is at most 5.6 liters in 10 days, the least is cow dung without additional, namely 1.67 liters in 10 days. Biogas production is mostly on the 5-8 days on average, after that it has decreased in each variation.
