Abstract

The 2013 curriculum is a new paradigm in Indonesian curriculum that emphasizes knowledge and skills competencies. The learning approach is done through an integrative thematic model with one output in the form of social skills. Social skills are important skills in the 21st century because they contain the basics for solving problems that exist in the social environment. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the social skills of fifth grade students in thematic learning based on cooperative learning models. This research method is a descriptive qualitative research. The subjects of the study were students and fifth grade teachers of SDN Pajang IV Surakarta. Data collection techniques through observation, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Validity through triangulation of sources and techniques as well as content validity by expert judgement. The aspects of social skills assessment consist of five aspects with the elaboration of 10 indicators. The research resulted that the social skills of students were categorized as good or in percentage of 76.66%.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to increase story retelling skill through Paired Stoytelling model in the second grade student of SD Negeri Soropadan. The research was conducted by using Classroom Action Research in three cycles. Each cycle consisted of four steps; plannnig, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The techniques for collecting data were interview, observation, test, and documentation. The techniques for analyse data were comparative, descriptive, and critical analysis. The results of pre test showed that the average classical students’s story retelling skill reached only 54,44 and reached 18,5% classical completeness. In the first cycle, the average value of classical story retelling skill was 62,31 and reached 44,4% classical completeness. In the second cycle, the average value of classical retelling skill was 69,21 on and the classical completeness was 66,7%. In the third cycle, the average value of classical story retelling skill was 73,21 and the classical completeness reached 82,1%. The conclusion based on the results above was the implementation of Paired Storytelling model can increase story retelling skills in the second grade student of SD Negeri Soropadan on the academic year of 2019/2020.

Abstract

The aim of this research is improving reading comprehension skill through PQ4R method. The type of this research is Classroom Action Research which held in 3 cycles. The first and second cycles held in two meetings while the third cycle only one meeting. This study takes research subjects from teacher and 3th students in one of elementary in Surakarta. This study uses interview, observations, tests, and documentation as techniques in collecting data. Data was validated using triangulation techniques and triangulation sources. Data was analyzed using Miles and Huberman models. The results of the first cycle of action obtained by 53% classical completeness, increased in second cyecle with 81% classical completeness and third cycle with 90%. The study was stopped in third cycle because the research performance indicators had been reached. Based on these result, it can be concluded that there is an increase in reading comprehension skill in 3th grade students after applying the method of Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review (PQ4R) in learning process.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is improving concept comprehension of economic activity in the utilization of natural resource. This research classified into Classroom Action Research using two cycles. There are the subjects are 28 from IV grade students at Mangkuyudan elementary school No.02 in the 2019/2020 academic year. Technique of data collection are interview, tests, observation, and documentation while data analyze technique are quantitative and qualitative. In the first cycle resulting 55% and the second cycle resulting 83,83% in classical terms. The average value is 79,5. Based on the result, it was concluded that the cooperative learning model with talking stick can improve comprehension concept of economic activity in the utilization of natural resource of fourth grade of Mangkuyudan elementary school No.02 in the 2019/2020 and the teacher can apply this model for improving another theory.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the relation between the self-concept and ability of high-level thinking as a transfer of knowledge of rational number material. This research was conducted at the student in V grade of Elementary School in 2019/2010 academic year on Ngurah Rai cluster at Laweyan District, Surakarta City. This research used correlation quantitative research methods. The sampling technique used was a random sampling of the student population in the V grade of Elementary School on the Ngurah Rai cluster. The retrieval data of the study used questionnaires and tests. The analysis data technique used simple regression analysis. Referring to the results of the statistical analysis, the correlation coefficient r was 0.761 with a regression model Ŷ = 55.99 + 2.1Xwith a contribution of 57.91%. Indicating to those results, there was a positive relation and significance between self-concept with the ability of high-level thinking as a transfer of knowledge of rational number material. The results of this study are expected to add scientific insights and can be used as relevance for similar research. Elementary V grade students are also expected to be able to develop positive self-concepts so that students high-level thinking abilities can increase.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is improve communication skills in social studies learning with applying the cooperative learning model type take and give for fifth grade students of SD Negeri Tegalrejo No.98. This research is Classroom Action Research is conducted in two cycles. The subject of this research were teachers and fifth grade students of SD Negeri Tegalrejo No.98 2019/2020 academic year, totality of 30 students. This research used the technique of collecting data in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation. Test the validity of the data using content validity and triangulation. The data analysis technique used is an intercative analysis model Miles-Huberman. The results communication skills in pre-action of the fifth grade students showed percentage 36,67% clasically. The first cycle with the first learning percentage of 48,27% and the second learning percentage of 57,14% clasically. The second cycle has increased is the first learning percentage 71,42% and the second learning percentage of 83,33%. Based on the results of the research, it was concluded that: the application of cooperative learning model type take and give can improve communication skills in social studies. Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this research is improving the character value of educational discipline class of the 5th  by applying the Value Clarification Technique model. The subject in this research were class of the 5th students at SDN Totosari No. 102 Surakarta in the 2019/2020. The variable in this research includes a variable learning act by applying the Value Clarification Technique model. Data collection using assessment tools consisting of observation sheets, insterviews, and documentation. The technique of data analysis on research uses data triangulasi technique and descriptions. Based on data processing result, the result is 86,67% that shows that the application of the Value Clarification Technique model is successful to enhance the character value of student discipline.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to improve students' curiosity attitudes by applying the Problem based learning learning model. This research is a class action research with three cycles. The subject of this study was 36 grade elementary school students in the academic year 2019/2020, totaling 36 students. Data collection techniques use the results of observations, interviews and documentation. Data validation using the Triangulation technique. The data analysis model used is Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis model with 4 components. The results of the study show that the application of the problem based learning model can raise the curiosity attitude of fifth grade elementary school students in the academic year 2019/2020. Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) was aimed to increased the social skills of students in Social Sciences lessons through used sociodrama method for 5th grade of primary school student at Surakarta on 2019/2020 academic year. This research has two subjects, they were a class teacher and 30 students from 5th grade of primary school. This CAR has procedure research which consisted of two cycles, there was four stages in the each of cycles, that was called planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection of this CAR was done by interviewing, observing of social skills, and document studies technique. Data validity in this CAR was used two triangulations, there were triangulation technique and source triangulation. The data analysis was interactive analysis (Miles and Huberman models). The results of the research after the action was increased from initial condition was 44.5 (6.67%) to 60 (46.67%) in the first cycle, and 81 (96.67%) in the second cycle. Based on the results of this CAR, it was concluded that implemented the sociodrama method could increase the social skills in social science lesson of 5th grade primary school students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve the narrative text writing skills through the Circuit Learning model in the fifth grade students of SD Negeri Tegalsari No. 60 Academic Year 2018/2019. The subjects of this study were classroom teachers and fifth grade students at SD Negeri Tegalsari No. 60 Academic Year 2018/2019 totaling 30 students. This research uses interview, observation, test and documentation techniques. Analysis of the data of this research is data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The data validity technique uses content validity, source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the use of the Circuit Learning learning model can improve narrative text writing skills in each cycle. Data from the results of the pre-action is that there is no complete KKM, in the first cycle the classical completeness results obtained in that class amounted to 41.18%, then in the second cycle of 82.35%. Based on the description above, it can be concluded that the application of the Circuit Learning learning model can improve narrative text writing skills in fifth grade students of SD Negeri Tegalsari No. 60 of 2018/2019.
