Abstract

This study aimed to describe the level of  adversity quotient  students achievement at SMA N 1 Payakumbuh. Adversity quotient was measured with aspects (1) Control, (2) Origin, (3) Ownership, (4) Reach, (5) Endurance . This research uses descriptive method. Data collection techniques that researchers use in this research is to administer questionnaires to students excel in SMA N 1 Payakumbuh, amounting to 84 students who have academic and non academic achievement. Data analysis techniques in this study using analytical techniques percentage. The results revealed that (1) Level adversity quotient students achievement at SMA N 1 Payakumbuh at high category with a percentage of 67.86%, (2) The level of  adversity quotient students achievement at SMA N 1 Payakumbuh based aspects control at high category with a percentage of 57.14%, (3) The level of adversity quotient students achievement at SMA N 1 Payakumbuh based on aspects of the origin at the high category with a percentage of 45, 24%, (4) The level of adversity quotient students achievement at SMA N 1 Payakumbuh based aspects of ownership at a high category with a percentage of 47.62%, (5) The level of adversity quotient students achievement at SMA N 1 Payakumbuh based on aspects of the reach at a high category with a percentage of 59.52% and (6) The level of adversity quotient students achievement at SMA N 1 Payakumbuh based aspects of endurance  at the high category with a  percentage of 64,29%.

Abstract

When entering adolescence, adolescents are expected to be able to know their own worth and their worth towards others. This means that adolescents should be able to assess themselves positively by the extent to which adolescents are able to show that they are capable, meaningful, successful and valuable. The reality that occurs in the field are still many teenagers who are found there are teenagers who do not believe in their own abilities, do not dare to appear in front of the class, feel afraid and anxious when faced with a challenge, become victims of bullying, and are isolated from peer groups, etc. This study aims to describe peer pressure and adolescent self-esteem and to examine the relationship between peer pressure and adolescent self-esteem in Adabiah Padang High School. This type of research used in this research is descriptive quantitative correlational. The sample in this study amounted to 219 students. The results of the study revealed that: (1) peer pressure experienced by Adabiah Padang high school students was in the high category, (2) self-esteem possessed by Adabiah Padang high school students was in the low category, (3) there is a significant negative relationship between peer pressure and adolescent self-esteem at Adabiah Padang High School.

Abstract

Interest is one of the important factors in supporting students' understanding and success in learning. With the interest, students can more easily learn and understand the material conveyed by the teacher because students have an interest in teaching materials delivered by the teacher. However, the reality in the field is that there are students who have low interest in learning, there are still many students who do not pay attention to the teacher, are not interested in the lesson, do not like the lesson and lack of participation in learning. The interest in learning is the tendency of individuals to have pleasure without any coercion so that it can cause changes in knowledge, skills and behavior and it is thought that one of the factors that influence it is peer interaction. This research is a descriptive correlational research with quantitative methods. The total sample of 226 students was selected using the Simple Random Sampling technique. The research instruments used were peer interaction questionnaires and student learning interest questionnaires. The results of the study revealed that (1) peer interaction of students in Padang State Vocational High School 6 was in the good category. (2) students 'interest in learning at SMK Negeri 6 Padang is in a good category (3) there is a significant relationship between peer interaction with students' interest in learning at SMK Negeri 6 Padang. Based on research findings, it is recommended that school counselors / counselors be able to provide guidance and counseling services, namely information services and individual counseling services in order to help students who have problems with interest in learning

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that there are still students whose learning outcomes are low. one of the causes of low learning outcomes is academic procrastination. This study aims to see a picture of student learning outcomes, academic procrastination, and examine the relationship of academic procrastination with student learning outcomes.This type of research is descriptive correlational. The sample of this study was 256 students from 709 student populations in SMA N 2 Padang. Data analysis techniques using descriptive and correlational analysis techniques using the help of a computer program Statistics Product and Service Solution (SPSS) version 20.0. The instrument used was a Likert scale model questionnaire to measure academic procrastination.The research findings reveal (1) overall academic procrastination is in the medium category with    a percentage (62.50%). (2) the delay aspect to start completing a task is in the low category with a percentage (48.4%), (3) the delay aspect in doing a task is in the medium category with a percentage (50.8%) (4) aspects of the time gap between plans and actual performance is in the medium category with a percentage (56.3%), (5) aspects of doing activities that are more enjoyable than doing the tasks that must be done are in the moderate category with a percentage (43.0%). (6) Student learning outcomes are generally in the quite good category with a percentage (43%). (7) there is a significant negative relationship between Academic Procrastination and Student Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Self regulated learning in the learning process is very necessary. Students are expected to have high self-regulation so that they can be prescribed. In fact, self-regulated learning is still low, efforts are needed to improve student self-regulated learning. So there needs to be an effort to improve student self-regulated learning. Many things can be done to improve student self-regulated learning by using counseling and guidance services. This study aims to examine the differences in self-regulated learning students before and after being given treatment of content mastery services with the approach of contextual teaching and learning. This study used a pre-experimental type approach using the one group pretest-posttest design. Samples in this study were students of SMPNegeri 7 Padang class VIII 7. Data collection used questionnaires and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank test formula. Based on the results of the study it was found that content mastery services with an effective contextual teaching and learning approach to improve student self-regulated learning.

Abstract

Anger is a form of negative emotions that is displayed in the form of behavior. This research is motivated by the phenomenon of students who are irritable, easily offended so as to say harshly and hit a friend. This study aims to describe the angry emotions of adolescents in junior high school students and their implications for guidance and counseling services. This research is a type of descriptive research using quantitative methods. The population of this study was 475 students and a sample of 217 students were selected using the Stratified Random Sampling technique. The instrument used was a questionnaire. The findings of this study indicate that, frist, teen angry emotions based on biological aspects tend to be in the quite high category, second, teen angry emotions based on emotional aspects tend to be in the high enough category, third, teen angry emotions based on intellectual aspects tend to be in the high category, fourth, teen angry emotions based on social aspects tend to be in the high enough category, fifth, teen angry emotions based on spiritual aspects tend to be in the quite high category.

Abstract

Learning is a process carried out by someone in obtaining a change in behavior as a whole, as a result of interaction with the environment. Related to learning interest is something that is related to individuals in meeting their needs through activities. The interest in learning referred to in this study is a sense of pleasure in learning, interest in learning, attention in learning, and involvement in learning. This study aims to examine whether there are differences in students' interest in studying Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIA) in public and private schools. Sampling in this study using proporsioal  random sampling technique with a total sample of 154 students. The research instrument used was a student interest questionnaire. The results of the study use that (1) the level of interest in learning MIA specialization in public schools is in the high category (2) the level of interest in learning in MIA specialization in private schools is in the high category (3) there is no significant difference between the learning interests of MIA specialization students in schools public and private schools.

Abstract

Menopause is a condition of cessation of the menstrual cycle and reduced function of reproductive organs in middle-aged women. When facing menopause, changes in body, emotional, cognitive, and hormonal changes occur. Changes experienced by women in this period cause anxiety because they face situations that have never been experienced before. This study was conducted to find out how women's anxiety in Jorong Balai Badak faces menopause. This type of research is quantitative research with a descriptive approach. This research was conducted at Jorong Balai Badak Nagari Batu Kambing Agam Regency, involving adult women from the ages of 40 to 50 years as the subject of the study. Data was obtained by giving research instruments in the form of questionnaires to women entering menopause. The results of the study were processed to find percentages and then categorized according to the level of anxiety. The results showed that, first, the anxiety level of women facing menopause was in the moderate category with a percentage of 41.30%. Both women's anxiety facing menopause related to aspects of behavioral response belong to the high category. The three women's concerns facing menopause are related to aspects of categorized cognitive response. The four concerns of women facing menopause related to aspects of affective response are classified as moderate.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the number of adolescents who tend to behave aggressively such as hitting, kicking, saying rude, mocking, fighting. Aggressive behavior is a negative behavior that is thought to be one of the contributing factors is low emotional maturity. This study aims to examine the relationship of emotional maturity with aggressive behavior. This research is a descriptive correlational type of research with quantitative methods. The sample in this study were 213 students consisting of classes X and XI. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire of emotional maturity with aggressive behavior on students using the Likert scale. Data were processed using Pearson product moment formula with the Statical Product Abd Service Solution (SPSS) program version 20.0. The results of this study reveal that there is a relationship between emotional maturity with high aggressive behavior or low emotional maturity that will affect aggressive behavior. Based on the findings of this study, it is expected that the BK counselor or counselor can provide assistance and services in the form of guidance and counseling services.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of teenagers who experience various impacts of cyberbullying in social media. The purpose of this study was to describe 1) The physical impact of cyberbullying on social media in adolescents x 2) The psychological and emotional impact of cyberbullying in social media 3) The emotional psychosocial impact of cyberbullying on social media. This research is a qualitative research that is case study. The research was conducted by observation and interview method with key X informant and 3 additional informants consisting. The results revealed that 1) The physical impact of cyberbullying in adolescents X is feel headache, no appetite, feel sleep disorders, and tired. 2) The psychological and emotional impact of cyberbullying in adolescents X is feelings of sadness, fear and anger. 3) The psychosocial impact of cyberbullying in adolescents X is feeling of isolation, loneliness, and exclusion. Based on the results of the study, it is recommended for adolescents, parents and also to counselors to be able to provide information services, group guidance and individual counseling with assertive training techniques to teenagers.
