Abstract

This study aims to describe the truism of students who are truant in terms of the adjustment of students with peers, and adjustment of the teacher in learning. The method in this research is quantitative descriptive with 36 research subjects who play truant in SMK Negeri 5 Padang. The instrument used is a Likert scale. Data were analyzed using percentage techniques. The findings of the study show (1) the adjustment of students who play truant in terms of the adjustment of students to peers at school is generally classified as low (50%), (2) the adjustment of students who play truant in terms of students' adaptation to teachers in learning in general is very low (83.3%), (3) overall in the low category (83.3%). The results of this study can be used as a reference in making programs for counseling teachers or counselors so that students' adaptation can be developed positively.

Abstract

The relationship of peer social interaction in school occurs when teaching and learning activities in the classroom and outside the classroom have an important role in fostering learning motivation that can increase the activity and effectiveness of student learning. This study aims to: (1) describe the social interaction of student peers, (2) describe student learning motivation, (3) test the significance of the relationship between peer social interactions with student learning motivation. This type of research is quantitative with a descriptive correlational approach. The population of this study were students of SMA Negeri 3 Padang Panjang which numbered 881 students. The sampling technique used was purposive random sampling, so that a sample of 275 students was obtained. The instruments used were peer social interaction questionnaires and learning motivation questionnaires. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and Pearson product moment technique using the SPSS version 20.0 program. The results of the study describe: (1) peer social interaction is in a good category with an average achievement of 57.09%, (2) learning motivation is in the high category with an average achievement of 66.18%, and (3) there is a relationship significant between peer interactions with learning motivation with the acquisition of 0.478 at a moderate level with a significance level of 0,000. The magnitude of the correlation is 0.478, meaning that if the social interaction of peers is good, then the students' motivation also tends to be high. Conversely, if peer social interactions are not good then learning motivation tends to be low.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the number of students who are unable to behave assertively. The purpose of this study was to see the differences in assertive behavior of male and female students. This research is a type of quantitative research with a comparative descriptive method. The number of samples was 248 students of BK FIP UNP with proportional random sampling technique. The instrument of this study was a questionnaire about assertive behavior with a Likert scale model. Data were analyzed using the percentage formula and for differences in assertive behavior students with t-test techniques using SPSS version 20.00. The findings of this study indicate that (1) assertive behavior of students as a whole is in the moderate category with a percentage of 67.74% which expresses assertive behavior male students are higher than female students, (2) the results of the t-test state that there are differences significant with a significant level of 0.013. Based on the research, the counselor can help students with guidance and counseling services so that students have high assertive behavior.

Abstract

Self-confidence is needed by students, so students are able to develop their competencies with confidence. Ideally, self-confidence of students must be in the high category. However, the reality is that there are still many students at school, especially students who are labeled negative have low self-confidence. Various studies have been conducted with regard to confidence with certain variables. This study focuses on testing the increase in self-confidence of students who are labeled negatively through group guidance. This research uses quantitative methods with the one group pretest-posttest design experimental approach. The research subjects were 10 students in Padang 33 Junior High School who were labeled negative. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire with a Likert scale model. This research was conducted in July-August 2019. Data collected was analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test formula with the help of Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) Version 20. Based on the results of the study found there were differences in the increase in self-confidence of students who were labeled negative on when the pretest is in the medium category and the posttest is in the high category. Therefore BK teachers are advised to be able to develop group guidance services to help increase student confidence.

Abstract

This research is based on the phenomenon found in the field related to bullying behavior. The purpose of this study is to describe BMB3 (Berpikir, Merasa, Bersikap, Bertindak, and Bertanggung jawab) students regarding bullying behavior. This research is descriptive, with a sample of students of class XI and XII at SMAN 7 Padang, totaling 252 students. The research instrument used was a Likert scale. The data obtained were analyzed using percentage techniques. The research findings reveal the study of student BMB3 with regard to bullying behavior can be seen from aspects: (1) students' thinking regarding bullying behavior is in a very good category; (2) feel that students regarding bullying behavior are in a good category; (3) the attitude of students regarding bullying behavior is in the good category; (4) acting students in relation to bullying behavior are in the good category; (5) responsible students in relation to bullying behavior are in a very good category. From the results of these findings as a whole it can be concluded that the study of student BMB3 with regard to bullying behavior is in the good category.

Abstract

Academic Procrastination is one's job to replace his tasks or work which causes failure to complete tasks / work on time. The fact that is found still increases students' academic procrastination. One of the factors that influence academic procrastination is self-confidence. This study aims to (1) Describe the level of self-confidence of S1 BK FIP UNP students (2) Describe the level of academic procrastination of S1 BK FIP UNP students (3) Test the level of significance of the relationship between student confidence with the academic proclamation of S1 BK FIP UNP students. This study uses quantitative research with a descriptive correlational type. The population of the study was 799 students of S1 BK FIP UNP and a sample of 266 students were selected by stratified random sampling. The instruments used are the scale of academic procrastination and self-confidence scale. Analysis of data with descriptive techniques and Pearson Product Moment techniques with the help of the SPSS program for windows 20.00. The research findings explain that: (1) the level of academic procrastination of students on average in the medium category with a percentage of 45.9% (2) the level of student confidence average in the high category with a percentage of 56.4% (3) there is a significant negative relationship between self-confidence and academic procrastination of S1 BK FIP UNP students with a coefficient of -0.213 and a significance level of 0,000 high hopes of confidence, the faster the academic procrastination college student. The lower the confidence, the higher the academic procrastination of students. It is undeniable that there is a significant negative relationship between self-confidence and academic procrastination of S1 BK FIP UNP students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi banyaknya kasus pernikahan dini yang terjadi dikalangan remaja. Pernikahan dini terjadi karena berbagai faktor, diantaranya faktor ekonomi, pergaulan bebas, maupun rendahnya tingkat pendidikan. Pernikahan diusia dini dapat memunculkan berbagai dampak, yaitu ekonomi, sosial, kesehatan maupun psikologis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat gambaran persepsi pasangan nikah usia dini terhadap dampak dari pernikahan dini. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah pasangan menikah usia dini di Kecamatan Teramang Jaya Kabupaten Mukomuko Bengkulu yang berjumlah 50 orang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu angket. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik statistik persentase. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa persepsi pasangan nikah usia dini terhadap dampak pernikahan dini secara keseluruhan berada pada kategori cukup berdampak negatif. (1) Pasangan nikah usia dini merasakan dampak yang cukup negatif terhadap ekonomi. (2) Merasakan kurang berdampak negatif terhadap kehidupan sosial. (3) Merasakan dampak yang cukup negatif terhadap kesehatan, dan (4) Merasakan dampak yang cukup negatif terhadap psikologis.

Abstract

Individual who have motivation to learn are individuals who have an awareness off the abilities that are in him, and he is able to increase the motivation they have. Important learning motivation for student, so that learning is succesful in the learning process. Motivation to learn is one of them that is motivated by social interaction. This study is intended to discuss the social relations of student and student learning teacher at Adabiah High School Padang. This research is a descriptive correlational research with quantitative methods. Taking samples in this study using stratified random sampling with a total sample of 2019 students. The research instrumens used were questionnaires for social interaction and learning motivation. The result of the study revealed that (1) students and teacher social interaction in Adabiah Padang high school was in a good category, (2) studenst motivation in high school Adabiah Padang was in the high category, (3) there was a significant relationship between student’s and teacher’s social interactions with learning motivastion student’s in Adabiah Padang.

Abstract

School discipline is very important to implement because it can provide support for the creation of behavior that is not deviant, encourage students to do good and right, help students understand and adapt to the demands of their environment and stay away from doing things that are prohibited by the school, students learn to live with habits - good and beneficial habits for him and his environment. However, the reality in the field found many students who violated the rules that had been made by the school. For this reason the aim of this research is to describe student discipline, locus of control, and how the relationship between locus of control and student discipline.This type of research is descriptive correlational which aims to find facts in accordance with the actual situation. The research subjects were 100 class VIII and IX students at SMP Negeri 13 Padang. The instrument of data collection is the student disciplinary questionnaire that uses a Likert scale and inventory locus of control that uses standard techniques that have been adopted from Dr. Marjohan M.Pd., Kons. Data was processed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques and to test the relationship of data was analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment formula with the Statical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) program version 20.0. The results of this study reveal that: (1) locus of control has an internal locus of control tendency, (2) Discipline of students is in the medium category, (3) there is a significant negative relationship between locus of control and student discipline in SMP Negeri 13 Padang with a significant value of 0.045. Based on the findings of this study, it is expected that BK teachers or counselors can provide assistance in the form of Counseling Guidance services.

Abstract

An individual who can accept himself is an individual who has an awareness of the characteristics that are inside him, and he is able and willing to live with these characteristics, and individuals are not trapped in anger, blame others and pity themselves for the limitations they have. Self-acceptance is important for prisoners of drug users, useful to facilitate the recovery of individual drug users to a state of physical, psychological, and social functioning. One's self-acceptance is influenced by a stable self-concept. This study aims to empirically examine the relationship of self-concept with self-acceptance in prisoners of drug cases in the Padang II Class Correctional Institution. This research is a descriptive correlational research with quantitative methods. Sampling in this study used a purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 60 drug users. The research instruments used were self-concept questionnaire and self-acceptance questionnaire. The results of the study revealed that (1) the self-concept of drug users in Padang Class IIA Correctional Institution was mostly in the high category (2) self-acceptance of drug users in Padang Class IIA Correctional Institutions were mostly in the good category (3) significant between self-concept and self-acceptance of drug users in Padang II Class Correctional Institution.
