Abstract

This research is based on the existence of nowadays children especially boys a lot of playing internet or online game, on an of internet site or online game there are advertisements that seem vulgar or content that refers to pornographic films or videos. Easy access to pornographic films or videos, allowing children to watch freely so that it becomes addictive to go back to watching porn movies or videos continuously. Addiction to pornography makes children unable to self-control and it is difficult to let go of these thoughts. Because you already feel attracted to these negative things, eventually there will be a sense of curiosity and want to try then deviate actions arise, namely taking it out by committing sexual violence to other people. It is interesting that the trend of the number of child victims of sexual violence and the number of child sexual violence perpetrators is relatively the same from year to year.  So that many children become perpetrators of sexual violence.This study aims to: (1) Describe the level of self-control in children who experience sexual deviations, (2) Describe the level of pornography addiction in children who experience sexual deviations, and (3) Test the relationship between self-control and pornography addiction in children who experience sexual deviations. The research subjects were 43 students, using instruments with Likert scale models. The percentage analysis technique and to test the relationship of the data were analyzed using the Pearson Correlation Product Moment statistical formula with the help of the SPSS for Windows version 20.0 program. The results of the study revealed that: (1) the level of self-control in children who experience sexual deviations was classified as lower, (2) the level of pornography addiction in children who experience sexual deviations was classified as very high, and (3) there was a significant negative relationship between self-control and pornography addiction in children who experience sexual deviations with significance level 0,001, r count 0.3008, and r table -. 487.

Abstract

This research was aimed to examine the correlation beetwen self confidence and result learn of poor students among senior high school students. This research was a quantitative study which involved all student off poor in SMA N 3 Padang with the total number of 61 students. The instrument use to collect data were self confidence and result learn scales. Data were analyze using Rank Spearman techniques with the help of the SPSS 21 program. The result shows that the coefficient correlation is 0,972 (r=0,972) in the significant level of 0,000 (p=0,000). The result means that there is correlation positive and significant between self confidence and result learn in which the relation between both variable is unidirectional. So, the higher the self confidence student have, the higher their result learn would be and vice versa.

Abstract

Proactive behavior is a concrete reflection of one's actions. This research is motivated by the existence of students who do not have proactive behavior in learning. This study aims to describe the proactive behavior of students in terms of freedom in choosing responses, ability to take initiative, and ability to take responsibility for students in learning at SMA Adabiah 2 Padang. This type of research is descriptive. The study population was 665 people with a sample of 203 students who were drawn using the Stratified Random Sampling technique. The instrument used was a questionnaire. The data analysis technique is the percentage. The results showed that the proactive behavior of students in learning in terms of: (1) freedom in choosing responses was high, (2) ability to take initiative was high, and (3) ability to take responsibility was also high.

Abstract

This research is based on optimism, which is an important thing that must be owned by every individual, because high optimism will make it easier for someone to develop themselves, because they believe in themselves and know their own strengths and weaknesses, therefore the Ex -Prostitutes who are undergoing rehabilitation must have high optimism to make it easier for them to increase their resilience and start a new life later. This study aims to determine the contribution of optimism of Ex-Prostitutes to their resilience in undergoing rehabilitation at PSKW Andam Dewi Sukarami Solok. The total sample in this study was 40 Ex-Prostitute who were undergoing rehabilitation. This type of research is descriptive correlational. Data were collected using an optimism questionnaire and a resilience questionnaire with a Likert scale model. The data were processed using the percentage technique and simple linear regression Adjusted R Square. The results of the data analysis of this study indicate that (1) the level of optimism possessed by the ex-Prostitutes is in the medium category with a percentage of 50%, (2) the resilience of the Ex-Prostitutes is in the high category with a percentage of 55%. (3) Based on the analysis of the coefficient of determination (Adjustale R Square), there is a contribution of 54.7% between the optimism of the Ex-Prostitutes for resilience and 45, the other% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

One of the goals providing education in junior high schools is to prepare graduates to continue their studies, namely whether the education level is high school (SMA) or other equivalent level. In this case, students often experience difficulties because they are faced with various choices, whether to continue their studies to the SMA or SMK level, or students prefer to attend training to directly enter the world of work, and students even choose not to continue their studies. This article discusses the analysis of the urgency of career guidance and counseling in junior high schools. The research method used is library analysis (library research). This article describes the analysis of scientific journals that are relevant to the selected discussion. The materials discussed in this article are 1) Definition of Career Guidance and Counseling, 2) Characteristics of Middle School Career Development, 3) Goals of Career Counseling at Junior High School Level, 4) Career Counseling Techniques/Activities. From this analysis, it can be can be explained guidance and counseling is one of the services that is needed by students who are in junior high school. With existence career guidance and counseling at the junior high school level, it can Upgrade the quality of human and their prosperity.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a phenomenon in the field that still found students who have problems following the online learning process. One of the causes of problems in learning is personal problems in self-motivation. This study aims to see how the students' problems in the online learning process are described in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used is a quantitative descriptive approach. The study population was 499 students of guidance and counseling batch 2018-2019, Padang State University, with a sample of 125 students, who were selected by simple random sampling technique. Data collection used student problem questionnaires in online learning with a Likert scale model. Data processing using Microsoft Excel. The results of this study indicate: (1) student problems before implementing online learning are in the medium category with a score of 63 and a percentage of 50.4%, (2) student problems when carrying out online lectures are in the high category with a score of 70 and a percentage of 56%, (3) student problems after carrying out online lectures are in the high category with a score of 49 and a percentage of 39.3%. Based on the research findings, it is suggested that the course supervisor lecturers be able to apply various learning applications to students so that online lectures are more effective and for counselors to be able to provide guidance and counseling services in the form of information services, content mastery services, individual counseling services, group guidance services and counseling. groups to students in order to assist students in alleviating the problems or obstacles they experience.

Abstract

Humans or individuals are creatures that can be seen from a variety of viewpoints. An individual is a noun from an individual which means a person, individuals, and individuals. Individual differences, in general, are things that are relating to personal psychology that explains the psychological differences between people and their equals. Sources of individual differences are caused by innate factors and environmental factors. There are several different fields of difference individuals namely cognitive differences, differences in language skills, differences in motor skills, differences in background, differences in talent, differences in readiness defense, gender differences, personality differences, and learning style differences. Individual differences can be applied in several ways, namely using 12 educational services in accordance with the potential intelligence and special talents that are owned by students. Using an eclectic and flexible approach to advocacy, using a combination of cooperative learning, using multi-sensory tools to practice and obtain information.

Abstract

This study aims to prevent juvenile delinquency behavior by developing a counseling model of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). The problem of counseling skills for counseling teachers is an interesting study to do because in the industrial revolution era there were many problems for adolescents. The counseling model of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is important to train teachers BK because this counseling model has a problem-solving focus on cognitive restructuring compared to other counseling models and approaches. The development of this model training was carried out for BK Teachers at SMP and SMA Padang Panjang. Based on the results of the descriptive analysis that has been carried out, it shows that the implementation of individual counseling by BK teachers with the CBT approach is generally in the medium category with an achievement of 74.6%. Furthermore, the implementation of individual counseling by BK teachers with the CBT approach is in the high category with an achievement of 17.6% and a small proportion is in the low category with an achievement of 5.9%. The results of this analysis illustrate that, the implementation of individual counseling by BK teachers with the CBT approach still needs to be developed.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the number of students behaving aggressively, such as fighting, hitting, kicking, attacking, taunting others, disturbing classmates, fighting teacher's words, and violating school rules. Aggressive is a negative behavior which is thought to be one of the contributing factors is authoritarian parenting. This study aims to: (1) describe the authoritarian parenting of students, (2) to describe students 'aggressive behavior, and (3) to examine the relationship between authoritarian parenting and students' aggressive behavior. This research is a descriptive correlational research with quantitative methods. The population of this study were all students of SMP N 16 Padang totaling 791 people who were actively registered in the 2020/2021 school year. The total sample of 263 students was selected using the Stratified Proportional Random Sampling technique. The research instruments used were the authoritarian parenting style questionnaire and the student's aggressive behavior questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques and Pearson Product Moment techniques with the help of SPSS For Windows 20.0. The results showed that (1) the students' authoritarian parenting style was in the high category (2) the students' aggressive behavior was in the high category, and (3) there was a significant relationship between authoritarian parenting and students' aggressive behavior with a correlation coefficient of 0.248 which was at 0.000 significance level with a very strong relationship level.. Based on the research findings, it is suggested that BK teachers or school counselors be able to provide guidance and counseling services, information services, individual counseling services, group counseling services to students, in order to help and minimize students falling into aggressive behavior. Furthermore, providing information and family counseling services to help minimize students' authoritarian parenting styles.

Abstract

Behavioral vandalism carried out by students by scribbling learning facilities and infrastructure such as scribbling on walls, doors, tables and chairs using x-tips, pens, markers and pencils.This study aims to determine the description of vandalism behavior of students in junior high schools. This type of research is qualitative research in the form of case studies. The subjects in this study were 3 junior high school students using purposive sampling technique. Data collection instruments used in this study were interview, observation, and documentation guidelines. The data analysis technique used in this research is thematic analysis by conducting transcripts of interviews that have been verbatim The results revealed that all research subjects (vandals) had vandalistic behavior, good, cognitive, affective, psychomotor to the perpetrator of the vandal, the cause of the vandal. Furthermore, the three subjects preferred to close themselves related to their vandal orientation. Two of the three vandals felt less comfortable at home but remained at home alone in their room, while one other felt more comfortable outside the house, and rarely spent time at home so that the communication that occurred in between children and parents is reduced and makes the relationship less close, therefore opening up feels difficult to do.
