Abstract

This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational method. The population in this study were all students of class VII SMP Negeri 2 Koto XI Tarusan, totaling 122 students and all grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Koto XI Tarusan, totaling 124 active students in the 2019/2020 school year. The total sample of 152 students obtained through the Stratified Random Sampling technique by administering the linkert model scale. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and correlational analysis. Testing the research hypothesis using the Pearson Product Moment correlation formula.The results showed: (1) the average peer relationship was in the good enough category, (2) the average social development of the students was in the medium category, (3) there was a significant contribution between the achievement of social development tasks on friend relationships. peer, while the correlation coefficient is 0.763 and the significance level is 0.000. It can be interpreted that the more contributing to the task of social development, the better the peer relationship.

Abstract

Social media is the biggest platform used by students to present their own impressions. The social media that is quite widely used by students in Indonesia is Instagram. The use of Instagram social media has positive and negative impacts such as competition for luxury life, refusing to look at reality, and a crisis of confidence. In this case, one of the factors that is assumed to affect self-confidence is excessive use of social media Instagram. The purpose of this study was to see students' confidence in terms of the intensity of using Instagram social media. This study uses a comparative descriptive method with a quantitative approach. This study used a proportional random sampling technique with a sample size of 254 (n = 254). Data analysis used descriptive analysis and ANAVA test analysis using two way ANAVA. The findings of this study indicate that students' self-confidence is not significantly affected by the intensity of using Instagram social media.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the self-regulated learning of SMP Negeri 1 Lubuk Alung students. This study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive research methods with a sample size of 268 students. Sampling using proportional random sampling technique. The instrument used was a self-regulated learning questionnaire, a Likert scale model. This study measures self-regulated learning which includes: cognitive, motivation and behavior. The findings of this study reveal: (1) on average the overall students of SMP Negeri 1 Lubuk Alung have self-regulated learning in the high category (69.81%), (2) the overall average grade VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Lubuk Alung have self-regulated learning. -regulated learning with a high category (70.41%), (3) the overall average grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Lubuk Alung have self-regulated learning with a high category (69.09%), (4) the overall average grade students IX SMP Negeri 1 Lubuk Alung has a high category of self-regulated learning (69.92%)

Abstract

Bullying behavior in the school environment can create an atmosphere that is less supportive of student development, both in the academic and social fields. Bullying is an act of violence that is carried out physically, verbally, socially or cyber bullying which hurts other students, usually affects people who are weak. One of the causes of bullying is rigid discipline. This study aims to see a picture of student bullying behavior, school discipline, and to examine the relationship between school discipline and bullying behavior. The research method used is a quantitative method with descriptive and correlational approaches. The study population was students of SMP Negeri 26 Padang, amounting to 502 students, with a sample of 223 students who were selected by simple random sampling technique. Data collection using the Likert scale model instrument. To see the relationship between the two variables using Pearson Correlation Product Moment. The results of this study found: 1) School discipline was in the medium category with a percentage of 45.3%, 2) the majority of students' bullying behavior was in the moderate category with a percentage of 49.8% 3) there was a significant negative relationship between school discipline and bullying behavior with rxy = - 0.498 and a significant level of 0.000. These results indicate that the majority of students at SMP Negeri 26 Padang have moderate school discipline and the majority have moderate bullying behavior.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a phenomenon that exists in junior high schools. The phenomenon that occurs is in the form of difficulty in understanding the material due to differences in the different learning processes between elementary and junior high schools. This transitional period affects student learning motivation. therefore, students are required to be able to adapt to the new environment in order to be able to achieve good learning outcomes and optimal self-development. This study aims to describe learning motivation, describe student adjustment and examine the relationship between learning motivation and student adjustment.The research method used is descriptive and correlational approaches. The population of this study were students of class VIII at SMP Negeri 38 Padang, totaling 216 students. The number of samples in this study was 153 students. Sampling using Simple Random Sampling technique. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques and correlational analysis, testing the research hypothesis using the Pearson Product Moment correlation formula. The results showed that: (1) students' learning motivation was in the high category, (2) students' adjustment was in the high category, (3) there was a significant positive relationship between learning motivation and students' adjustment with a correlation of 0.859 with a very strong category at significance level of 0.000. Thus the counseling teacher can maintain and improve student learning motivation and student adjustment by using guidance and counseling services for students.

Abstract

Covid-19 massif attacks have impacted the world of education, nearly 300 million students disrupted their school activities around the world and threatened their educational rights in the future.This condition will interfere with the achievement of students' maturity in achieving their learning goals, both academically, and psychologically.Students who are transferred to learning due to school closures are very likely to experience psychological trauma that makes them demotivated in learning.Schools were closed, and online learning left many students depressed.Students who are victims of the covid-19 pandemic feel they are in an uncomfortable state, panic, fear, anxiety that can ultimately make them anxious.This community service aims to help students reduce anxiety by using KREIN-MKP (Creative Counseling And Innovative Cognitive Behavioral Based), improving teacher insights BK/school counselor on covid-19 pandemic anxiety disorder that occurs in vocational school students, providing improved skills of BK teachers using KREIN-MKP (Creative and Innovative Cognitive Behavioral Based Counseling).This research uses descriptive methods through action research. The target audience in community service activities is bk teachers/counselors who serve in SMK Kota Padang.Data collection techniques are via online via google form. The results were obtained in the form of improving the skills of BK teachers/counselors in carrying out counseling with a KREIN-MKP approach that focuses on the problems experienced by students such as covid-19 pandemic anxiety disorder.

Abstract

Sexual behavior is a form of behavior in the form of holding hands, holding hands, hugging, hugging, kissing, touching sensitive areas, and intimate relationships. Previously, sexual behavior was laden with moral principles, now sex has penetrated all corners of life as a lifestyle that has zero morality even among teenagers, including students. Sexual behavior can cause various health, social, and economic problems for adolescents themselves and their families. This needs to be resolved by various parties, one of which is the school by guidance and counseling teachers through special guidance and counseling services and activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of students 'sexual behavior and the efforts of guidance and counseling teachers to overcome students' sexual behavior. This study used a qualitative descriptive method, with a purposive sampling technique with the number of research subjects two guidance and counseling teachers. This study uses a thematic analysis using interview transcripts that have been verbatim. The findings of this study are that there are students who have sexual behavior and the efforts provided by guidance and counseling teachers in overcoming sexual behavior, such as: providing information through classical services, conducting group guidance and group counseling services, conducting individual counseling, providing content mastery services, and doing cooperation with various parties.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the significant effect of learning motivation on self-regulated learning in students of the guidance and counceling study program batch 2018 faculty of teacher training and science Satya Wacana Christian University, Salatiga. This study used a sample of 57 students. The method used was a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used in this study was simple linear regression with the help of the SPSS version 20.0 program. The simple linear test results show that learning motivation has no effect on self-regulated learning in students of the Guidance and Counseling Study Progrm batch 2018 FKIP Satya Wacana Christian Univesity, Salatiga. This can be seen from the results of the simple linear regression test on the Model Summary, it can be seen that the value of the Adjusted R square is 0.006 which means that it is 0.6%. The F count value is 0.312, P 0,579 >0.05, so it can be concluded that there is no effect of Learning Motivation on Self-regulated in students of the guidance and counceling study program batch 2018 faculty of teacher training and science Satya Wacana Christian University, Salatiga.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of parents who do not know their role in changing adolescent aggression behavior. The purpose of this study was to describe the role of parents in overcoming children's aggressive behavior in terms of moral cultivation, development of non-aggression behavior and the cultivation of the ability to develop empathy. The research sample consisted of 36 adolescents who experienced aggressive behavior. The results of this study reveal that the role of parents in overcoming adolescent aggression behavior in general is in the sufficiently role category, meaning that parents are expected to play a greater role in overcoming the aggressive behavior of their youth so that they are able to behave in accordance with applicable norms.

Abstract

Vocational High School (SMK) is a means of education to prepare students to be ready to enter the world of work. Students must have good career maturity, their career choices should be mature, in the sense that in adolescence the individual is able to plan, think about, and choose a career for himself by making an effort to identify himself, find out about work and educational steps and overcome problems related to career selection. This research is motivated by the existence of several students who have not been able to plan their future careers and there are some students who have the belief that success is determined by luck, opportunity and fate. The objectives of this study were (1) to describe the self-concept, (2) to describe the direction of student career maturity in school and (3) to examine the relationship between self-concept and the direction of student career maturity at State Vocational High School 6 Padang. This type of research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational description method, with a sample of 187 students of SMK Negeri 6 Padang, using simple random sampling technique. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire distributed through the Google Froms application. Based on the Likert scale. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques and Pearson Product Moment correlation techniques with the help of the SPSS program. The results revealed that: (1) Self-concept was in the medium category with a frequency of 51.34%, (2) the direction of career maturity of students at school tended to be in the fairly mature category with a frequency of 47.59%, and (3) There was a significant positive relationship between self-concept. with the direction of student career maturity with a correlation coefficient of 0.967 and a significance level of 0.000. Based on these findings, it is hoped that the counselor will always improve and develop guidance and counseling services, especially career guidance services to help students improve their career maturity.
