Abstract

Active learning is the most important thing in the learning process. One of the factors that is thought to influence learning activeness is the atmosphere of interpersonal communication between the teacher and students in the learning process. This study aims to describe the level of student learning activeness, describe the level of interpersonal communication atmosphere between teacher and students and test the significance of the relationship of interpersonal communication atmosphere between teacher and students with the learning activeness of vocational students. The study population was 459 students of SMK N 2 Solok and a sample of 214 students were selected by Proportional Random Sampling. The research findings reveal that there is a significant positive relationship between the atmosphere of interpersonal communication with student learning activeness with a correlation coefficient of 0.312 and a significance level of 0,000. It can be concluded that there is a significant positive relationship between the atmosphere of interpersonal communication with student learning activeness.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe student academic procrastination, (2) describe student self-control, and  (3) examine the relationship of self-control with student academic procrastination. This type of research is quantitative research using a descriptive and correlational analysis approach. The population in this study were students of class VII, VIII, and IX SMP N 12 Padang and the amount of samples was 270 students taken using proportional stratified random techniques. This study uses two data analysis techniques, descriptive analysis and correlational analysis. Descriptive analysis is using the percentage formula. While correlational analysis uses the product moment correlation formula and the calculation is assisted by using the SPSS version 20.0 for Windows. The results of the study showed (1) the level of academic procrastination in Padang SMP N 12 students in general was in the high category, (2) the level of self-control of SMP N 12 Padang students was generally in the low category, and (3) there was a significant relationship between self -control with academic procrastination students of SMP N 12 Padang with a correlation coefficient of -0.141 and a significance level of 0.020.

Abstract

Time management of learning is a way to manage time in using time effectively and efficiently by making plans, scheduling, prioritizing, managing control over time that can be seen from individual learning needs. The background of research is various problems that occur in the students time management of learning junior high school in schools that implement the full day school system. The problem at issue by junior high school students’ in schools that implement the full day school system is a matter of time and difficulty of responsibility in learning, organization, extracurricular activities and other additional activities. Counselors helps improve students’ skills and understanding of learning time management through guidance and counseling services. There are several guidance and counseling services that can be provided to student regarding learning time management issues supported by information services, content mastery services, group guidance services, individual counseling services and group counseling services. This study aims to describe the students’ time management of learning at junior high school 33 Padang, seen from the aspects of: (1) planning of goals and priorities, (2) planning and scheduling, and (3) implementation. This research uses quantitative descriptive methods. The study population was 371 at junior high school 33 Padang and a sample of 186 students were selected using the Simple Random Sampling technique. The instrument used was a study time management questionnaire. The students’ time management of learning in junior high school 33 Padang is relatively high, which is related to the students’ time management of learning in: (1) aspects of setting goals and priorities, (2) aspects of planning and scheduling, and (3) aspects of implementation is relatively high.

Abstract

Bullying is an action where someone or more are actioned/used to hit, pressure, and to make fall down of one’s mental. It is also to control other by violence. So, the victim of bullying can do nothing and recevie what ever done on him. Bullying is devided into three, physical, verbal or non physichal, and psychological bullying. Bullying can cause negatif impact on teeneger’s future life. The effect of bullying on psysic is physical healty like scare, bruise, headache, throatacha, cold, chest or even the death. Moreover, the long effect of that is the disturbance of physichological condition and bad social adaptation. Other, the fishting, long bad relationship, broken heart, feeling inconfidance on public and feeling of fear. It can be seen from the behavior presented like isolating them selves, less concentration, less succesfull, not socialization, scared, anger, calm, sensitive, isolated, rude feeling cool, incomfidance, worry and easy to get in sulted

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the existence of new students who are difficult to deal with new people, difficult to adjust to family, inferior to friends, secure difficulties from friends, and are kept sanctified by friends and warm wishes. This study aims to: (1) describe the solitude of new students, (2) describe the social understanding of new students, and (3) discuss the significant relationship between solitude and social learning of new students. This research is a descriptive correlational type of research with quantitative methods. The population of this research is the new students of S1 FIP UNP 2018/2019 who come from outside West Sumatra. The total sample of 89 students selected by using the Proportional Random Sampling technique. The research instruments used were the lonely questionnaire and the social share questionnaire. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistical techniques and Pearson Product Moment techniques with the help of the SPSS program for Windows 20.0. The results of the study revealed that (1) the solitude of new students in the high category, (2) social discussion of new students in the medium category, and (3) had a significant negative relationship between loneliness and new students' social exchanges of -0,963 at the significance level of 0, 01 Based on the findings of the study, it is suggested to the college counselors to be able to provide guidance and counseling to new students, in order to provide assistance and services that contain guidance and counseling services regarding loneliness and low social conditions.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the number of students in a school who implement a full day school system that cannot regulate time either in learning or not, the number of students who often go out of class during class hours, and the number of students who are often late and more male students are found often do some of these things compared to female students. The purpose of this study was to examine the differences in self-regulation of male and female students in SMP N 2 Padang which implemented a full day school system. This research is a comparative descriptive study with quantitative methods. The total sample of 278 students was selected using the Proportional Random Sampling technique. The research instrument used was the student self-regulation questionnaire. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistical techniques and t-test (t test) techniques with the help of SPSS For Windows 20.0. The results revealed that (1) self-regulation of male students is in the high category (2) self-regulation of female students is in the high category, and (3) there is no significant difference between self-regulation of male and female students, obtained F is 0.398 with a significant 0.529 which means greater than 0.05, the value of t used is Equal variances assumed. The value of t obtained is -1.103 with probabilities (sig) 0.271> 0.05 then H0 is accepted.

Abstract

The problem in this research is the low motivation to learn students, especially male students. This objective of the research is to find out to find out the differences in learning motivation between male and female students of SMAN 1 Bayang Academic Year 2017/2018. This research is comparative research. This research was conducted at SMAN 1 Bayang. This sampling technique is in proportionate stratified random sampling of 150 people. Data analysis techniques are using the t test (independent sample t test). The results of the analysis show that the average learning motivation of male students (Study at Senior High School 1 Shadow) 2017/2018 Academic Year is 88,613. The average learning motivation of female students (Study at SMAN 1 Bayang) 2017/2018 Academic Year is 94,493. There are differences in learning motivation between male and female students (Study at Senior High School 1 Shadow) Academic Year 2017/2018, where the motivation of female students is better than the motivation of male study

Abstract

This study is based on lot of the students who demonstrate self –existence on a social network especially instagram in order to get recognition. One of the factors alleged to affect it is self control. The purpose of this study is : 1. To describe the students narcissistic tendency as the instagram users, 2. To describe the students as instagram usel self control, and 3. To test the significance of self control relationships with the students narcissistic as instagram users. The study used a quantitative approach with a kind of correlational descriptive. The subject of this study is 115 of SMP 2 Padang students. The data analysed with a conventional technique and Pearson Product Moment Correlation formula. The result of the study are: 1. The students narcissistic tendency as instagram users are in pretty high category. 2. The students self-control are in the high category. 3. And there’s a significant negative connection between self control and the students narcissistic tendencies with coefficients of -0.717 and the significance of 0,000.

Abstract

Discipline is something that is related to self-control of the form of rules by obeying the rules around. Discipline is a process or practice which of course individuals must experience or go through the process. Discipline is also shaped and developed through practice and education so that awareness and confidence in him are formed to do without coercion. In fact there are still many students who do not obey the rules that apply in school. That happens because the existence of students who are lazy learning because learning is not necessary and there are still students who are still not sure about the abilities possessed by him. This study aims to (1) describe students' self-efficacy, (2) describe student learning discipline, (3) test the significance of the relationship between self-efficacy and student learning discipline. This study uses a quantitative method with a correlational approach. The research sampling technique uses purposive sampling. The sample of this study was 155 students of SMK Negeri 10 Padang. The instruments used were (1) questionnaire selfefficacy, (2) student learning discipline. Questionnaire in this study uses a Likert scale model. Data analysis techniques used descriptive and correlational analysis techniques using computer program assistance Product and Service Solution (SPSS) version 20.0. The research findings show that (1) student self-efficacy is in the high category, (2) student learning discipline is in the discipline category, (3) there is a significant positive relationship between self-efficacy and student learning discipline with a correlation coefficient of 0.403 and a significant level 0,000.

Abstract

Education has an important role in developing the potential that exists in students. Good cooperation between educators and students is needed so that educational goals can be achieved well. Guidance and Counseling teachers as one of the educators have a very important role in guiding and helping students to develop themselves. The reality that occurred in the field was found that there were some students who at the time of Guidance and Counseling learning felt sluggish and doing other assignments, there were some students who thought the material presented was not interesting, Guidance and Counseling teachers were not able to direct them to their interests and talents, even there students who consider the Guidance and Counseling  room only for students who have problems. This study aims to describe the perceptions of students about the role of Guidance and Counseling teachers in the self-development of Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP Junior High School students. This type of research used in this research is quantitative descriptive. The sample in this study amounted to 156 students. The results revealed that students' perceptions about the role of the Guidance and Counseling teacher in student self-development were in the quite good category.
