Abstract

Abstract: News is an easy source of information. In the process of writing, news according to the needs and the media. The news of sexual violence that is being widely disseminated is the sexual violence that befell three children in East Luwu. As of now, the news is still under investigation. Researchers are interesting with the news. The purpose of this study is to find out the framing analysis of the media Kompas.com and Liputan6.com in packaging the news of sexual violence that befell three children in East Luwu. The method used in this analysis is descriptive qualitative method. While the theory that supports the research is the Zhingdang Pan and Gerald M Kosicki model. The results of this analysis are: 1) knowing the differences in news writing of the two media 2) knowing the comparison and framing used by the second media. Keywoards: news, framing, sexual assault

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Instagram @kominfodiy as a communication medium in providing information about COVID-19. This study uses a quantitative research approach using a questionnaire to the people of Yogyakarta with a total of 110 respondents. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the magnitude of the influence of Instagram media is about 0.542, which means that the significant contribution given by the Instagram media variable as a medium of information to communication media is 54.2%. Instagram media by regularly uploading information posts is an effective way for @kominfodiy to provide information about COVID-19 to the public. The correlation test results explain that there is a relationship between the variable (X) and the dependent variable (Y) with a total value of 0.736. The significance value from the coefficient table is 0.000, where the value is smaller than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05). Keywords: Instagram effectivity, communication media, COVID-19,

Abstract

Abstract Although the press has the freedom to express opinions, it does not mean that it can be abused at will. A healthy press must uphold their independence, professionalism, and conscience. Hush is a Korean drama released in 2020 that tells the story of journalists' actions in defending their ideals or choosing pragmatism. This study aims to determine how journalistic ethics work in the Korean drama Hush. The method used by the researcher is descriptive-qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of observation and documentation. In conducting the analysis, the researcher used semiotics from Charles Sanderce Pierce, which includes signs, objects, and interpretants. The results of this study indicate that there is journalistic ethics in Hush's drama based on the South Korean journalistic code of ethics. Journalists who adhere to ethics are called idealistic journalists, shown by their independent attitude, do not make fake news, always carry out verification or information testing, are professional in their work, and do not accept bribes. While violations of journalistic ethics are shown to journalists who make fake news, abuse their profession, are not independent and accept bribes for promotion and media ownership. Abstract

The development of technology that is currently widely used by millennials is podcasts which are currently increasingly trending among millennials. One of the most popular podcasts in Indonesia is the Do You See What I See podcast, which brings the horror genre as its main topic. The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe millennial perceptions in perceiving content that is broadcast in the Do You See What I See podcast based on indicators of perception formation. The methodology in this research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The data collection technique is triangulation. There are 9 informants obtained through purposive sampling technique based on predetermined criteria. Meanwhile, data processing in this study used techniques from Matthew and Michael Huberman. Based on the results of the study, the majority of listeners of the Do You See What I See podcast are aged 22-30 years. The listener's perception of the Do You See What I See podcast itself is that listeners begin to accept the existence of the podcast, then listeners begin to understand the content of the content shared in the podcast. The majority of listeners' assessment of the Do You See What I See podcast is positive. So in conclusion, the listener's perception of the Do You See What I See podcast is good and positive.

Abstract

For journalists, the development of the digital age is like two blades for their profession. Digitization makes it easy for journalists to find news topics over the Internet. A wealth of information and news, whether from the general public or from journalists, contributes to the potential for false information, or so-called hoaxes. Also, the cultural issues of covering journalists have turned into journalist transfers. This condition occurs because many journalists are out of balance with their understanding of the ethical code of journalism. Journalists, especially Muslim journalists, are tasked with performing the prophetic mission of telling the truth and the good news and issuing warnings. One of the efforts to implement the concept of prophetic journalism for journalists is the Journalist Skills Test organized by the Press Council. This article describes the value of prophetic journalism in the journalism proficiency testing process. As a result of the research obtained, the Journalism Proficiency Test, which includes an ethical code as test material, consciously or unknowingly seeks to implement prophetic values in the journalism profession. The 11 Journalism Proficiency Test Criteria implement the characteristics of the Prophet (Shiddiq, Tabligh, Amanah, and Fathonah), the core competencies of prophetic journalism.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of media exposure about covid-19 on public anxiety on bontangpost.id reporting in Bontang Permai, Api-Api village. Variable X in this study is bontangpost.id media exposure about covid-19, while variable Y in this study is public anxiety. The method and type of research used by the researcher is a quantitative explanatory research with a sampling technique that is purposive sampling. The theory used is the theory of media dependence (Dependency Theory) where the more a person depends on a media to meet their needs, the more important the media becomes for that person. Based on the data obtained by simple linear regression analysis, the results obtained are Y = 7,407 + 0,468X and obtained a t count value of 9,078 > t table 1,998, this number indicates that the number of t counts is more than the number of t tables so that it can be stated that there is an influence of media exposure on the news of covid-19 on bontangpost.id on the level of anxiety of the residents of Bontang Permai, Api-Api Village. With a significance value of 0.000 0.05, then Ho is rejected, Ha is accepted. This shows that partially Ha, which states that the news of covid-19 (X) has a significant positive effect on the level of anxiety (Y) of the residents of Bontang Permai, Api-Api Village.

Abstract

This research is in the form of an analysis of the interests of the television media industry in Indonesia. Highlighted in this study are TV stations operating under industrial ownership, namely Metro TV (Media Group), TV One (Viva Media Asia), Kompas TV (Gramedia Media Nusantara), RCTI (MNC), and Indosiar (Elang Mahkota Teknologi). The purpose of this study was to determine the existence of the interests of the television media. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The results show that the five TV stations, each owned by five private television media industries in Indonesia, have public, political, and business economic interests.

Abstract

The code of ethics is a guide that every work professional must own. Even in the world of journalism, there is a code of ethics that all journalists should obey. This code of ethics was created and designed by experts from various institutions and boards with various considerations. However, it turns out that the code of ethics that has been made and designed well has not been complied groups. How can this happen? While this code of ethics is the main guideline for a journalist. According to Islam, this is allegedly due to the loss of adab of a journalist. For this reason, this article will discuss the akhlak of a journalist, especially Muslim. In addition, Islam also conception the type of news that a Muslim journalist should convey.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze critical text messages of BEM UI 2021 students on Instagram social media. The primary data in this study is the upload of the @bemui¬_official account entitled the king of lip service. This research uses the analysis method of Teun A Vand Dijk. The results of this study found that the discourse of the king of lip service was a student criticism movement for Jokowi's policies that were not realized. The nickname is a form of criticism of Jokowi's promise about. First, Jokowi's statement to long for demonstrations, but various demonstrations actually get repression. Second, Jokowi wants to revise the ITE Law, but it has resulted in the proposal of a new article. Third, Jokowi wants to strengthen the KPK which actually ends in indications of weakness. Fourth, Jokowi allowed the Omnibus Law to be sued at the Constitutional Court (MK), but contradicted Airlangga Hartarto's statement to the Constitutional Court to reject all claims against the Job Creation Law. Meanwhile, the use of social media Instagram in the student criticism movement is an alternative means to fight the discourse from the government and mobilize the student movement. Another finding is the reason why students criticize the government. First, students have a special identity, so from that identity there is a moral burden to criticize the government. Second, students have anxiety about their uncertain future. Finally, they expressed their anxiety through criticism on social media and street demonstrations, in the hope that social change would occur. Third, students have the burden of history that was obtained from the previous generation of students.

Abstract

Kebutuhan manusia akan informasi yang tinggi, serta perkembangan teknologi informasi yang terus berkembang, mendorong terbentuknya media baru, yaitu media online yang memanfaatkan internet untuk menyebarkan informasi. Dengan munculnya media baru tersebut mengakibatkan terjadinya pergeseran media lama ke media baru, media online muncul karena penggunaan social media yang semakin banyak digunakan masyarakat. Hal ini dimanfaatkan media online untuk menyebarkan informasi dengan memanfaatkan social media, akses internet yang semakin terjangkau oleh siapa saja, juga menjadi faktor pendorong transisi media lama ke media baru ini, bahkan bermunculan media online baru. Kumparan merupakan media baru yang berdiri pada Januari 2017, kumparan hadir dengan misi yang unggul dalam bercerita. Dengan menggabungkan elemen-elemen multimedia seperti text, graphic, picture, slide shows, dan audio. Elemen multimedia ini dipilih karena dalam mengirimkan informasinya dinilai lebih efektif, dan meminimalisir miss komunikasi dalam menyampaikan informasi. Maka dari itu dalam penelitian ini akan membahas bagaimana pemanfaatan media multimedia ­dalam penyampaian informasi jurnalistik di media online kumparan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif.
