Abstract

Muhammad Abduh was born in Mahallat District village, Al-Bahirah province in 1266 H / 1849 AD and died in 1322 H / 1905 AD Muhammad Abduh was a scholar and well-known Reformist figure in modern times. He is an intellectual who wants modernization efforts for the rise of modern Islam. Abduh wanted an Islam based on rationality in order to release Muslims from the shackles of imitation, static, and old age which were the main causes of the decline of the ummah.            Muhammad Abduh for him, Islam is a rational religion. religions that have a harmonious relationship with the ratio, complement each other and that cannot be separated. Rationalism is the only method that can lead every Muslim to the way to obtain truth, peace and true faith. Not only that, rationalism can also make Muslims excel in advances in science and technology.            Muhammad Abduh in his term Al-Aqlaniyah Al Islamiyah, namely Islamic rationality, is against the skepticism which is anti-reason and exaggeration of reasoning. Ummah should not be satisfied simply standing on the gate of a text without maximizing the potential of the ratio in mengintrepetasikan implied meaning and interpretation in the Qur'an. In conclusion, Muhammad Abduh wanted to create a modern Islamic civilization that excelled in the advancement of science and technology by maximizing the potential ratio based on the Al-Qur'an (Allah) and Hadith (Rasul).

Abstract

This article was written to explore the traditions carried out by some people in carrying out a tradition that has been carried out for generations in Pematang Ganjang village, Sei District. Rampah Serdang Bedagai Regency. Pematang Ganjang village is a village not far from the city center. It makes it easier for people to do things. The government system that is run in this village is a government led by the Village Head who is assisted by the village apparatus. Pematang Ganjang Village is one of the villages located in Sei District. Rampah Serdang Bedagai Regency. The community has various ethnicities, languages, and several different religions, but even though there are many different tribes, languages, and religions, the community still upholds a sense of tolerance and harmony in society. Although the religion in Pematang Ganjang village is predominantly Muslim, however, there are some groups of people who still follow the teachings of their ancestors and are hereditary in nature, resulting in some people committing acts that are contrary to the beliefs of Muslims. Pematang Ganjang has many ethnic groups, including Javanese, Banjarese, Simalungun, Acehnese, Malay, Mandailing, Batak, Karo and Bantenese. And the Javanese tribe is the most widely embraced by the Pematang Ganjang community. This research is expected to be able to open our mindset as readers to better understand and strengthen our hearts and minds towards belief in Allah and not to follow teachings that do not know where they come from and guidelines. We as religious people must be more selective in choosing which one is good and which one is bad. By strengthening our faith and belief, so as not to fall into wrong beliefs.

Abstract

Drugs are something that is inserted into the body, drugs spread like bacteria that can attack anyone, young or old, rich or poor, even today, many teenagers who fall into this are from harmonious families. In this analysis, the author proposes a theoretical approach which includes: Understanding theology in general, Definition of Drugs, Drugs in the view of Islam, Types of Drugs, Consequences of Drug Abuse, Drug Countermeasures, and Legal Basis for Drug Abuse that regulates it. Furthermore, the author puts forward an understanding of the Islamic Theology of Drug Addicts which includes the factors that cause drug addicts, Drug Addicts' Belief in God's Actions and Human Actions, and Drug Addict's Views on the Concept of Faith, Reward and Sin. The researcher's review of the understanding of Islamic theology for drug addicts in social and religious behavior, based on the existence of religious knowledge taught both by their families and by religious leaders, is still limited to religious knowledge possessed by ordinary people, it is proven that the way of understanding is still related to reason. and revelation.

Abstract

This article will explore the role of remembrance and prayer on mental health in the Naqsyabandiyah Order in Sei Pasir Village, Asahan Regency. The Naqsabandiyah Order is not just a ritual teaching, it focuses on the human spiritual approach to God Almighty. The implementation of remembrance is part of the method of approaching Allah SWT. The formulation of the problem in this study is 1. The role of remembrance and prayer for mental health in the Naqsyabandiyah Order located in Sei Pasir Village, Sei Kepayang Timur District, Asahan Regency 2) How are the practices of the Naqsabandiyah Order in the Naqsyabandiyah Order located in Sei Pasir Village, Subdistrict Sei Kepayang Timur, Asahan Regency 3) How is the influence of the teachings of the Naqsabandiyah Order in Sei Pasir Village, Sei Kepayang Timur District, Asahan Regency on the surrounding community? This study aims to determine the form of the role of remembrance and prayer on mental health in the Naqsyabandiyah Al Kholidiyah Order in Sei Pasir Village, Sei Kepayang Timur District, Asahan Regency. This type of research is a qualitative field research. This research is pursued by the steps of collecting, classifying and analyzing or processing data, making conclusions and reports with the main aim of making an overview of a situation objectively from a description. The approach according to the researcher according to the theme of this research is the sociocultural approach. Zikir in the Naqsyabandiyah Order in Sei Pasir Village, Sei Kepayang Timur District, Asahan Regency, from remembrance of ismu substance, remembrance of lathaif and with practices such as repentance, talqin allegiance, and remembrance. The results of the study illustrate that people who follow the teachings of Tariqah Naqsabandiyah in their lives are calmer, more open to the way, the problems they face are felt with a well-controlled mind. The daily life of the tariqah congregation is more confident in the destiny of life from Allah SWT, more istiqomah in living life, in society the congregation has more high social awareness, and upholds the dignity of fellow living creatures as Allah's creation. in Sei Pasir Village, Sei Kepayang Timur District, Asahan Regency, more giving social roles in social life to people who follow tariqah. Because he can be trusted in carrying out his mandate as a leader and prioritizes the public interest.

Abstract

This journal is the result of research with a policy research flow that aims to describe and understand the Role of Baitussalam Modern Boarding School in Strengthening the Value of Islamic Aqidah of Naga Jaya Village Community I Bandar Huluan Subdistrict, using qualitative research methods. The purpose of this study is to find out how the role of Pondok Pesantren Baitussalam in strengthening the value of Islamic Aqidah in Naga Jaya Village Community 1 district of Bandar Huluan. This type of research is field research conducted using observation methods and direct interviews to the target object, namely by conducting interviews to the caregivers of Baitussalam Modern Boarding School and community residents in Naga Jaya Village 1 Bandar Huluan District simalungun which is considered to have an important role in providing information to get sources and materials that are the object of research, that is to know the nature of Aqidah's development of the community around Pondok Pesantren Modern Baitussalam. The results showed that the role of Pondok Pesantren Modern Baitussalam, has a fairly good role in strengthening the value of Islamic Aqidah community of Naga Jaya village 1 district of Bandar Huluan.  What is known from the caretaker of baitussalam boarding school since its establishment in 1864 until now teaches the value of aqidah, until now also the community has carried out the studies and celebrations of Islamic holidays. The caretaker of Baitussalam boarding school is also very intense in forming understandings or teachings that are considered khurafat in sharia or purification of Islam.

Abstract

Given the many negative behaviors that are carried out by teenagers in the village of Pool, especially the tradition of watching the kibot loading program that has existed for a long time, special handling is needed to save the younger generation, especially teenagers from this deviant tradition. Children are included in a group of people who are vulnerable and easily fall into negative things, because they usually give examples of what they see firsthand, especially in adolescence because of their unstable nature and have very high emotions. This change in social phenomena requires religious studies in order to strengthen the aqidah within a person. Religion is an option to overcome the problems that exist in humans. Therefore, researchers feel it is important to create a method of fostering aqidah in adolescents based on an Islamic perspective by doing remembrance and prayer together, as well as conducting Al-Qur'an therapy, remembrance therapy, and prayer therapy in response to conditions. adolescent social skills to improve spirituality (religion), morals (morals), and physical (physical). The purpose of this research is to find out the activities of the community of Pool Village in fostering the aqidah of teenagers, to find out the steps taken in fostering the aqidah of teenagers based on an Islamic perspective, and to determine the impact of remembrance and prayer activities in fostering the aqidah of teenagers in the Village of Pools. The methodology used in this research is through field research (Field Research) using a qualitative approach. The results of the research in the Pond Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, which focused on fostering the aqidah of teenagers with the method of remembrance and prayer together, found that the application of the proper creed of youth was certainly produced by proper research and observation. The activities of remembrance and prayer together in fostering the youth's aqidah are considered as a form of response to the social conditions of teenagers who are able to reduce the tradition of watching the kibot loading program, especially for adolescents in the range of 11-19 years who are considered very vulnerable to negative behaviors. The joint remembrance and prayer activities that were carried out received a positive response as a coaching medium that was considered capable of eliminating the disease of watching the kibot loading program which has become a tradition.

Abstract

Mandailing Natal Regency or often also referred to as Madina is one of the regencies in North Sumatra. In Madina there are several villages, one of which is Huta Pungkut village. Mandailing Natal, especially the village of Huta Pungkut, has a variety of unique customs and cultures that are different from other regions. Among them are crafts, Bagas Godang, lubuk larangan, and arts, including dance. The art of dance is an ancestral heritage that we must protect and preserve, the hope is that it will not be recognized by other nations. One of the Mandailing Natal cultural customs is the tor-tor dance. This study uses a qualitative method, which aims to determine the procession of the tor-tor dance and find out what the religious and philosophical values of the tor-tor dance are at the Mandailing Natal traditional wedding. The purpose of this research was carried out because many people, including the next generation of Mandailing Natal, did not know the meaning of the tor-tor dance. The results of this study are that in the tor-tor dance starting from the elements of movement, rhythm, movement and poetry there are religious and philosophical values, namely praise and gratitude to Allah, advice from parents to children, commendable morals, love for family, developing attitudes mutual help, happiness in life in this world and the hereafter and prayers for safety. The messages of Islamic communication in these tor-tor movements are to protect, ask for and receive luck, respect, honor the elders, protect the family with love, joy, mutual support and help.

Abstract

Ethics is usually closely related to moral words which are terms from Latin, namely mos and in its plural form mores, which also means customs or ways of life of a person by doing good deeds (decency) and avoiding bad actions. It is closely related to socializing between humans and other communities, especially those in their environment which are very concerned, especially ethics in neighbors. Neighbor ethics in Islam is an obligation that must be carried out by every Muslim, both towards others and non-Muslims. This research has two problem formulations, namely: 1) How is Neighbor Ethics According to Islam? 2) How is the Application of Neighbor Ethics in Islam in the Village of Harjosari I Gang Budi? The results of research on Neighbor Ethics According to Islam are neighboring manners in Islam are guidelines and ethics in neighbors that need to be considered by Muslims. Neighbors are people who are around us who need to be respected and needed as well as possible. In Islamic teachings, the command to do good to neighbors is juxtaposed with the command to worship Allah and the prohibition of associating partners.

Abstract

An important question in this paper is how is paradigm construction of critical theological thought. To understand its construction, this paper shows paradigm shifting of thought of Islamic theology since classic era to contemporary. The shifting is since Khawarij growth that discuss about big sin, unbeliever, believer, heaven, and hell. Now, theological thought had grown and entered in various scientific paradigm. These themes are very variational too, even new thing that is nothing before. Critical theological thoughts belong to paradigms or new world views that is important for contemporary era. Critical theological thought in Indonesia had been stated by critical intelectuals such as Abdurrahman Wahid, Muslim Abdurrahman, Masdar F. Mas’udi, and Kuntowijoyo. Paradigm of critical Islamic theology is an emancipatory thought on modern culture and society, for example critique of economics, politics, and structure. This thought starts from reaction of unjust social system. This thought starts from point of suffering in praxis. Its objective is to build social structure that freed human being from every oppression. Critical theological thought did not separate theory and practice, knowledge and action, theoritical rationality and practical rationality. This thought reflects critically something practice in historical sosial life.

Abstract

Percut Village is one of the villages in the Percut Sei Tuan sub-district, Deli Serdang Regency with an area of 1,063 hectares. When progress is considered a mecca for millennials. Millennials do not understand the values of teachings in Islam resulting in them falling into deviant teachings and not in accordance with what Islam teaches so that the millennial aqeedah declines. Looking at the condition of the reduced millennial Muslims themselves, it can be easily interpreted that the reduced Millennial Muslims are Muslims who were born in the midst of the times and in the midst of globalization. The questions in this study; 1) How is the understanding of Islamic aqidah among millennials in Percut village?; 2) What are the efforts to strengthen Islamic aqidah in Percut village?. The government of Percut Village, Percut Sei Tuan District will not miss to give great attention to all its citizens, especially millennials in order to maintain their faith/faith values. -religious institutions in fostering generations (teenagers) through religion.
