Abstract

A learning models that demanding activity of student to understand the concept of learning situations and problems presented is the model Problem Solving. The purposes of the research is to analyze the problem solving ability of student junior high schoolin solving aljabar test,the ability that hoped might by students is solving math test ability. This research is classroom action research in two siklus. This  research the subjects in were students of class VII A  SMP Al-Mahmud Plus in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 school year, totaling 21 people. Data  instruments were the observation sheet and test questions. The instrument used consists of 5 question with each question consisting of 4 indicators of abilitiy.Data analysis of research is technique using Microsoft excel in the form of descriptive statistics. From data analysis of Research data is shows 66 % of the students are able to understand the problem in the instrument tes, 60% students can plan completion, 57% of students can  run  a completion plan  and  40 % students can check back.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of students' mathematics learning outcomes by applying a problem based learning approach to algebraic form of material. The method used in this research is classroom action research (CAR) which was carried out in one of the junior high schools in the Cimahi area. This research was carried out for two cycles, with the techniques used were observation, test questions, and also documentation. The subjects of this class action research were teachers and students of SMP class VII which consisted of 22 people. The increase in student learning outcomes is reviewed based on the results of working on individual test questions. The questions are given before and after the algebraic form material is delivered. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that learning mathematics by applying a problem based learning approach to algebraic form material could improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Covid-19 is a rapidly growing outbreak around the world, one of the obvious impacts is the education sector. Inadequate education affects the learning outcomes of learners. One of the factors that affect student learning outcomes is the presence of motivation that comes from the student itself. Without the willingness to learn, it can be difficult for students to know what to learn and why they need to learn it. The research used is correlational and ex-post facto research using quantitative approaches that aim to find out whether students' learning outcomes in statistical material have an effect on learning motivation. The subjects used in the study were class IX students consisting of 6 students including 3 women and 3 men. Research instruments conducted using student motivation scale questionnaires and written tests of statistical material. The data analysis technique used in this study is a simple linear regression analysis using an average percentage of motivational indicators and spsss statistic 25 software. The results of the study proved that there was an influence of 62.2% between learning motivation and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

In this study to carry out the learning process, it is necessary to evaluate students to find out errors during the learning process. The purpose of this study was to find out the learning errors of class VIII students in mathematics, the subject of a two-variable linear equation system with the elimination method. This study uses quantitative descriptive research to determine the percentage of students' errors in learning. The subjects of this study used 1 room, namely room 06 class VIII-C with 20 students, consisting of 13 boys and 7 girls. One room has characteristics with low, medium and high categories seen from the acquisition of the Final Semester Assessment. The test instrument of this research used 5 questions. Difficulty in solving mathematics learning problems with two-variable system of linear equations which include: 1). Difficulty in making a mathematical model of the material system of linear equations of two variables; 2). Difficulty in understanding the problem; 3). Difficulty in the calculation process 4). Difficulty in concept.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the quality of the test items for mathematics subjects on the material of a two-variable system of linear equations with a combined method. That the thing is that learning is limited by researchers will conduct research at SMP Negeri 2 Haurwangi with research subjects of class VIII students who are in class 05 which contains 17 students. In class 05, students have different characteristics, from high, medium, and low categories which can be obtained from the assessment of students' answers to the test questions given. The items made consist of 3 questions. With easy, medium, and difficult categories. Given this research is a research that uses quantitative descriptive which will be analyzed using Ms. Excel based on Validity, Reliability, Distinguishing Power and Difficulty Index. The results showed that; 1) the three items with very high validity and high reliability, 2) based on the discriminatory power of interpretation is less, 3) based on the difficulty index of question no. 1 and 2 are moderate, while question no. 3 is difficult.

Abstract

This study aims to identify students' abilities in solving PISA questions in terms of space and form content. The research method used is qualitative with descriptive type. The research subjects were 3 students of class VII SMP in Karawang. The researcher used a research instrument in the form of a description test which was adopted from the PISA book Released Items – Mathematics which was translated into 2 questions. Researchers chose 3 subjects to be analyzed based on high, medium, and low categories. The results of the research that has been carried out from 39 students who completed PISA questions in space and form content, 4 students are in the high category with a percentage of 10.3%, 29 students are in the medium category with a percentage of 74.4%, and 6 students are in the low category with percentage 15.3%. Of the 39 students who completed PISA questions in spatial and shape content, almost half of the students tested were able to complete question 1, and fewer students were able to complete question 2 compared to students working on question 1

Abstract

The research, which was conducted at SMK Al-Barokah, aims to determine the effect of interpersonal intelegence to understanding of students' mathematical concepts. This study uses a quantitative approach with the sampling technique used is total sampling. The sampel of this study were 14 students of class XI consisting of 6 boys and 8 girls. The research instrument used was a questionnaire and an integral material description test. The technique data analys are descriptive statistical test, data analysis prerequisite test, and hypothesis analysis. The results of data analysis that there was significant influence between intrapersonal intelligence on students' understanding of mathematical concepts. This shows that the research hypothesis is accepted, meaning that intrapersonal intelligence contributes to students' understanding of mathematical concepts. As for other factors that influence students' understanding of mathematical concepts, namely student psychology, student character, attitudes towards learning, learning motivation, learning concentration, processing learning materials, exploring learning outcomes, self-confidence, and study habits.

Abstract

This research is a classroom action research conducted with 2 cycles. This research was conducted on Merger class students X TKJ and TKRO of SMK Dwi Putra Sindangkerta for the academic year 2022/2023 using a scientific approach. This study aims to determine classroom action research and understanding of mathematical concepts, especially the material equations and inequalities of linear absolute value of one variable using a scientific approach. In this study, the results of students' answers using data analysis techniques with qualitative analysis have four stages: 1). Data collection; 2). Data reduction; 3). Data presentation; 4). Conclusion. The first cycle's lack of student activity was demonstrated by the average score of 62.70 for all students, Student scores increased by 24.58 from the average initial test score of 38.12. In the second cycle test the results have increased the average score of 38.12, student scores climbed by 24.58. It can be concluded that the mastery of the concept of linear absolute value equations and inequalities of one variable in Merger X TKJ and TKRO class students at Dwi Putra Sindangkerta Vocational School has increased.

Abstract

This research is based on the important role of technology as one of the supporters of learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to investigate the perceptions of madrasah students regarding technology-assisted mathematics learning, differences in perceptions between male and female students, students' perceptions when viewed from the indicators, and students' opinions on distance learning during pandemic. This study uses descriptive methods with quantitative and qualitative approaches to students of MAN 2 Kota Sukabumi class Xmathsci. on the academic year 2020/2021. The instruments used are closed questionnaires and written interview questions that has been validated. The data analysis technique used an interval approach determined by the Ideal Mean (Mi) and the Ideal Standard Deviation (SDi) to determine the category of perception as well as verbal analysis. The conclusion obtained is that students have positive perceptions regarding technology-assisted learning in distance learning, both male and female students have positive perceptions, and students' opinions about the distance learning that has been implemented are mostly the learning experiences are to use Google Classroom and then WhatsApp.

Abstract

Goal of this study was to examine the mistakes made by SMP Plus Al-Irfan students as they attempted to solve a system of two linear equations using online instruction. Research is being conducted using the descriptive qualitative technique. The research involved a total of 28 SMP Plus Al-Irfan class VIII students. The test instrument consists of six description-style questions. The indicators are: (1) Determining the distinction between PLDV and SPLDV; (2) Create a mathematical model and solving SPLDV use elimination methode; (3) Create a mathematical model, and solving SPLDV and use the substitution method; (4) Create a mathematical model, and solving SPLDV use the combined method; (5) Identifying special SPLDV and its solutions; and (6) Create a mathematical mode and solving SPLDV use the graphical method. According to the study's findings, junior high school students made the most mistakes in identifying the SPLDV graphical method's completion indication, with an error rate of 85.5%. According to the primary factor analysis's findings, students make mistakes, particularly when trying to convert story questions into mathematical models and create SPLDV graphs.
