Abstract

This study aims to examine the scenario and implementation of online learning, the reaction of teachers and students to learning, the difficulties felt by students in completing the problem, as well as the obstacles experienced by teachers when doing online learning material system of linear equations two variables using CTL approach. This study is a qualitative descriptive research. This study was conducted on 20 students of SMP Plus Darul Amanah Ciwidey. The results of the study went as planned, the teacher's reaction when the learning process got a score of 94% which included very good criteria, it can be seen from the results of teacher observation sheets carried out each learning meeting, the student's reaction to learning got an average score of 71% with a very good category. The difficulty experienced by students in working on a system of linear equations of two variables lies in the difficulty of skills, concepts, and principles. The obstacles experienced by teachers when carrying out learning are varied such as students who do not have internet quotas, expensive internet payments, signal constraints, lack of student motivation, and lack of supervision from parents during the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to find and analyze student errors in students' problem-solving abilities when solving questions on the SPLDV material. The subjects of this study were 10 students in class X at West Bandung Regency Vocational High School using descriptive quantitative methods which were carried out through WhatsApp groups (WAG) where data processing using Ms. Excel. Based on the results of the analysis of the percentage of completeness in this study, it is known that the level of students' mathematical problem solving is in the medium category. Therefore, the researcher can conclude that further research is needed in the future on students' mathematical problem solving abilities with the aim of producing data that can be used as evaluation and analysis material to produce a learning model that can improve mathematical problem solving abilities.

Abstract

Through the use of Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach, this activity seeks to improve mathematics learning outcomes. This research uses classroom action research as its methodology. At An-Naja Middle School, this research was conducted. The sample of this study amounted to 15 students, and the implementation took place in November. RPP, LKPD, and description exam questions are research tools used. The written test data processing technique in this study used the percentage. The results showed that 1) by using the RME approach, student learning outcomes have increased as indicated by the increase in student learning success, where the average value of students in the first cycle is 38.80 with a percentage of 6.6% and increased to 89.40 with a percentage value of 100 % in cycle II. The application of the method can be concluded from the research findings. The application of realistic mathematics teaching strategies can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research was conducted to knowing the effect of the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning model on student’s mathematical creative thinking abilities. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method. The population of this research were all students of SMP Al Minhaj Tamansari. The research sample was students of class VIII E who became the control class and students of class VIII D who became the experimental class. Samples were taken by simple random sampling technique. Research data collection was taken by the test method. The test instrument used contains 4 questions that have been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis begins with prerequisite test, namely normality test and homogeneity test. After that, the hypothesis is tested using the two-average difference test or t test. The results of data analysis found that there were differences in mathematical creative thinking skills between students who studied with the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) model and students who studied with conventional methods.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of interest in learning and learning independence on student learning outcomes on trigonometry material for class X MIPA SMA Negeri in Bontang City. The type of research is quantitative research with ex-post facto method. The population of this research is the students of class X MIPA SMA Negeri in Bontang City which consists of 12 classes of 427 students, with the Cluster Random Sampling technique obtained 6 classes of 204 students. The research instrument uses learning outcomes tests and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis (multiple regression) with = 0.05. Based on the results of descriptive statistical analysis, interest in learning and learning independence is included in the medium category, while learning outcomes are included in the less category. From the results of the simultaneous test, obtained a value (Sig. F = 0.004) which means the regression model means. From the results of the partial test, interest in learning has a significant effect on student learning outcomes (Sig. t = 0.034) and for independent learning learning independence has no significant effect on student learning outcomes (Sig. t = 0.715).

Abstract

This research is motivated by one of the objectives of learning mathematics is so that students have the ability to understand mathematical concepts. However, the reality on the ground shows that students' ability to understand concepts is still low, so it requires a teacher's understanding of the factors that influence it, namely learning styles. This study aims to describe the ability to understand mathematical concepts in terms of learning styles. The approach used is descriptive qualitative. The research subjects were 3 students from 21 grade VII-A students of SMPN 3 Cikampek. Data was collected through learning style questionnaires, written tests, and interviews. This study's results indicate that students with different learning styles have different results in understanding concepts. Visual learning style students in general are quite capable of meeting indicator of ability to understand mathematical concepts that can meet 3 indicators, students of auditory learning style are generally said to be good or almost meet every indicator of ability to understand concepts that can meet 5 indicators, while kinesthetic learning style in general not good at fulfilling each indicator, which is only able to meet 2 indicators of the ability to understand mathematical concepts.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to analyze and describe the ability to understand mathematical concepts in terms of students' learning interests. The subjects of this study were class XII students at SMA Cendekia Pasaman Barat. This research method is descriptive quantitative. The instruments used were interest in learning questionnaires, test questions, and interview guidelines. The results of the interest in learning questionnaire were analyzed by grouping them into high, medium and low, the test results were analyzed based on indicators of conceptual understanding and interview results. The data analysis technique used in this study was descriptive statistical analysis. The results showed that students with high learning interest had high ability to understand mathematical concepts, then students with moderate and low learning interest had medium and low ability to understand mathematical concepts. Students who have high ability to understand mathematical concepts are able to achieve all indicators of understanding concepts with few errors, then students with moderate and low ability to understand mathematical concepts are unable to meet the indicators of restating a concept and applying concepts or solving algorithms.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the quality of the mathematics learning media in the circle material at SDN 110 Borongloe which meets the valid, practical, and effective criteria. Media development refers to the stages of the ADDIE model. The research subjects were students of class VI SDN 110 Borongloe. The instruments used in the study included: validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, teacher observations managing learning, student activity observations, and learning outcomes tests. The data were analyzed quantitatively by looking for the average value of the validity, practicality, and effectiveness levels. Based on the results of the study, the validation results obtained are 4.48 with a very valid category. The results of the practicality of the teacher response questionnaire are 76.6% and the student response questionnaire is 90.9%. The results of the effectiveness of the study were measured using the student activity observation sheet with the acquisition of 91.1% in the very good category, the observation sheet on the teacher's ability to manage to learn with the acquisition of 4.67 in the very good category, and the student learning outcomes test with the acquisition of learning completeness of 93%. Thus the M-Learning learning media meets product quality assessment standards.

Abstract

The research was carried out with the aim of analyzing problem-solving abilities in junior high school students related to number pattern material in terms of gender. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The subject of the study was a class VIII student at one of the junior high schools in Karawang Regency in the odd semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The procedure for data collection uses a test instrument that combines four indicators in the form of, understanding, planning, implementing planning, and reviewing processes and results in problem solving. The data analysis technique is to look at the test results of students and then categorize them on high, medium, and low criteria. The results showed that the mathematical problem-solving ability of female students was better with an average score of 80.76 in the high category than male students with an average score of 69.58 in the medium category. This can result in differences in students' ways of thinking, understanding, and solving problems.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out whether the flipped classroom which is integrated with the discovery learning is better than just using the discovery learning and to find out differences in numeracy abilities when viewed from a mathematical disposition in class XI MAN 4 Tangerang students in the 2021/2022 academic year. This study uses a mix method , namely the combination of quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative research using quasi-experiment design type pretest-post test control group design by making two groups, namely the control class and the experimental class. Methods of data collection using numeracy ability test questions, mathematical disposition questionnaires, observation sheets, and interviews. Data analysis techniques in the quantitative method include normality tests, homogeneity tests, and two-way ANOVA tests (Two-way ANOVA). In the qualitative method, the data analysis used includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. In an effort to improve numeracy skills, the use of the discovery learning integrated with the flipped classroom have a positive impact.
