Abstract

Indonesia as a country with the largest Muslim population has the potential to become the world's halal centre. The increase in demand for halal products is due to the increasing world Muslim population and demand among non-Muslim consumers. Strengthening the halal industry is one way to develop the Islamic economy and improve the welfare of the people in Indonesia. However, halal product assurance is not only sufficient through certification. Therefore, a more concrete strategy is still needed to increase public trust in halal products. This research is a qualitative research with a literature review approach. The type of data used is secondary data or data that has been processed. The analysis technique used is qualitative descriptive analysis, which analyses data, facts, and social phenomena that occur to draw a conclusion. A strategy that provides more halal guarantees to the community is needed, namely by emulating what the Prophet Muhammad did in Medina. Morals are one of the important factors in developing the halal industry. The concept of the Anshar market and the Prophet's Mosque can be developed as a strategy for developing halal products and tourism in Indonesia.

Abstract

Modern corporate organizations acknowledge that emotional intelligence (EI) is among the most critical factors in leadership effectiveness. Leaders who score high in EI are better able to implement supportive work environments, and this then puts them on the path to improved job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Besides, the effectiveness of EI for the purpose of diversity management and inclusive cultures underscores the value leaders with highly developed EI have in today's work settings, which are characterized by increased globalization. The ongoing challenges of integrating EI into leadership development programs necessitate further exploration. This paper, therefore, synthesizes the latest findings, arguing for the importance of EI in modern leadership and suggesting a more nuanced inclusion of emotional competencies in leadership strategies, so as to be able to effectively navigate the complex dynamics of modern organizations. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the soundness level of PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk for the period 2020–2024 using the RGEC method, which consists of four assessment factors: Risk Profile, Good Corporate Governance (GCG), Earnings, and Capital. This research uses secondary data in the form of annual financial statements, GCG self-assessment reports, and official publications from the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The Risk Profile analysis focuses on the Non-Performing Loan (NPL) and Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) indicators. GCG is assessed based on self-assessment reports referring to POJK No. 55/POJK.03/2016 and POJK No. 17/POJK.03/2023. Earnings are measured using Return on Assets (ROA), Net Interest Margin (NIM), and the BOPO ratio, while Capital is evaluated using the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR). The results indicate that the Risk Profile is in the Sound to Very Sound category, with low NPL and LDR within a reasonable range. GCG obtained composite ratings between 2 (Sound) and 3 (Fair), Earnings showed fluctuations with declining ROA and NIM in 2023–2024, while BOPO remained sound. Capital consistently achieved the Very Sound category with CAR above the minimum requirement. The overall composite soundness ratings (CR) obtained consecutively from 2020 to 2024 were CR 2 (Sound), CR 1 (Very Sound), CR 2 (Sound), CR 1 (Very Sound), and CR 3 (Fairly Sound). Keywords:  RGEC, Risk Profile, Good Corporate Governance, Earnings, Capital, Bank Jatim.

Abstract

The fashion shopping trend in Indonesia has increased during the COVID-19 pandemic. This has led many business owners to capitalize on online business opportunities, transforming them into a trend in the current business world. This study describes how to analyze business feasibility using the SWOT method and the factors that influence business feasibility based on SWOT. A SWOT analysis includes an internal environmental analysis, namely strengths and weaknesses, as well as an external environmental analysis, namely opportunities and threats. To overcome these difficulties, the data analysis techniques used in this study were SWOT analysis, the IFAS Matrix, the EFAS Matrix, and the SWOT Matrix. This study used primary data, through observation and interviews. The results of the study showed that strengths include good quality, affordable prices, excellent service, strategic location and environment, and product variety. The strength matrix calculation results in a value of 3.8. Weaknesses obtained a value of 3.58. Opportunities obtained a value of 3.04. The Threats score was 2.94. Therefore, the overall strategy can be identified by maximizing opportunities, minimizing weaknesses, using strengths as a fundamental element in business planning, and suppressing existing threats to the t-shirt convection company for the company's future sustainability.

Abstract

While the use of mobile wallets in Indonesia has increased, the country remains behind other ASEAN nations, notably Thailand and Vietnam. This study seeks to investigate the factors influencing Indonesians’ intention to continue using mobile wallets by incorporating the Technology Acceptance Model with social interactions, particularly social connectedness and social influence. This study aims to offer a theoretical contribution by exploring the role of the social interactions, specifically social connectedness, which has not been previously investigated in mobile wallets adoption research. The data collection process involved surveying mobile wallet users in key urban areas in Indonesia, yielding a total of 228 data. The research model underwent testing through the PLS-SEM methodology, revealing that the intention of Indonesians to continue utilizing mobile wallets is influenced by ease of use, benefits, and social connectedness. This study also presents recommendations for relevant stakeholders to persuade users to maintain their use of mobile wallets.

Abstract

Villages are the smallest administrative units that play a strategic role in national development, but there are still problems in the management of village funds that have led to low public trust. This study aims to analyze the influence of budget transparency, financial accountability, and the use of village fund allocations on public trust. This study employs a quantitative method using a survey approach and the distribution of questionnaires to 125 respondents in Colomadu District. The results indicate that budget transparency does not significantly influence public trust, while financial accountability and the use of village fund allocations have a positive and significant impact on public trust. Based on these findings, to enhance public trust, it is necessary to strengthen accountability practices and the effective use of village fund allocations, although budget transparency has not yet become a decisive factor in building local public trust
