Abstract

In the past decade, the general method for measuring the performance of research and scientific publications in a Study Program at a Higher Education is by the Rough Value (Nilai Kasar, NK) calculated per three years. This value is derived from the accreditation instrument. In fact, the calculation of the performance of research and scientific publications with NK cannot represent an annual performance. Therefore, this paper presents a new method for calculating research and scientific publications performance with an index (IP-PS and IPub-PS), which is calculated annually. An example of quality measurement practice in the Automotive Diploma Program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Magelang. As a result, calculations with IP-PS and IPub-PS are more likely to present real conditions per year than using NK.

Abstract

This article presents an analysis of the development of fuel system technology in Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) vehicles compared to the development of a fuel system in a gasoline engine. We found that over the past 100 years of using LPG as an alternative fuel, there have been changes in LPG kits for six generations. The first and second-generation LPG kits are similar to the concept of a carburetor, LPG and air mix in front of the throttle valve through a mixer. The third-generation of LPG kits is equivalent to K-Jetronik on a gasoline engine. The fourth and fifth-generation follow the development of a multi-point multi-point injection system and the sixth generation follows the workings of gasoline direct injection (GDI). The sixth-generation of LPG kits, where LPG is injected into the combustion chamber, has an advantage in volumetric efficiency but due to high combustion chamber temperatures, it is necessary to develop injectors that are resistant to high temperatures.

Abstract

Sebagian masyarakat di Kecamatan Candimulyo merupakan pengrajin gula kelapa, bahkan pekerjaan yang dilakoni hingga turun temurun. Permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra adalah mitra tidak bisa memproduksi gula semut dengan kadar 2-3%, sehingga tidak dapat merasakan harga jual yang tinggi. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk membantu mitra supanya dapat memproduksi gula semut dengan kadar air 2-3%, dengan membuat alat pengering gula semut dengan sumber energi gas buang hasil proses memasak nira. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah adalah model pemberdayaan masyarakat partisipatif / Participatory Rural Apraisal (PRA). Metode ini dipilih berdasarkan pertimbangan bahwa yang mempunyai atau menghadapi masalah adalah mitra, oleh karena itu keterlibatan mitra dalam penentuan pemecahan masalah yang dihadapi dan penyelesaiannya sangat diperlukan. Tahapan yang dilakukan dalam penyelesaian masalah mitra adalah, identifikasi temperature oven, waktu yang dibutuhkan dalam proses pengeringan, identifikasi kapasitas pengering, kapasitas produksi gula semut, perancanangan pengering, pembuatan dan penerapan gagasan pada kelompok tani. Tahap terakhir dari kegiatan ini adalah penyusunan laporan kemajuan, artikel ilmiah untuk keperluan publikasi, dan laporan akhir. Dari kegiatan yang sudah dilaksanakan hasil luaran sebagai berikut Publikasi ilmiah di jurnal/Prosiding, Peningkatan omzet pada mitra terjadi peningkatan jumlah gula kering sekitar 30% dari produk yang dihasilkan, Peningkatan kualitas produk dengan menghasilkan gula semut kering. Peningkatan pemahaman dan ketrampilan masyarakat untuk pengelolaan gula semut sampai kadar air 2-3%, serta dihasilkan Teknologi tepat guna untuk membantu masyarakat pembuat gula semut meningkatkan kualitas produksinya.

Abstract

This study aims to describe in-depth the values ​​of character education in the play script Dhemit by Heru Kesawa Murti and to describe the relevance of the play script Dhemit by Heru Kesawa Murti as teaching material in the course of Drama Studies and Appreciation of the Javanese Language Education Study Program. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The object studied is in the form of literary texts, namely the drama script Dhemit by Heru Kesawa Murti. This qualitative descriptive method is used to explore sources of information (data), in the form of literary texts so that the data that appears is in the form of concepts or categories that are impossible to calculate with statistics. The approach used in this research is structural, namely interpreting the deep meaning of the literary works studied in relation to people's lives. The data collection techniques used were: (1) recording documents/archives, (2) listening and note-taking techniques, and (3) library research techniques. The results of the research findings with a structural approach show that: (1) There are character education values ​​in Heru Kesawa Murti's drama script Dhemit (2) The values ​​found in Heru Kesawa Murti's drama Dhemit can be used for developing eye learning materials Drama Study and Appreciation Lecture in the Javanese Language Education Study Program.

Abstract

The drama entitled Dhemit tells us about the construction of a cluster housing in a particular area in which the environment is sacrificed. Developing an area becomes an excuse that the environment which should be protected are destructed. The notion of environment is mutual. For those who preserve it will get the good but for those who destruct it will get the harm. In order to keep the balance, there should be people who take a good care of the environment. They should struggle with environmental crime. Resistance is another term for the struggle. Environmental crime is something that people should fight for. This should be done as the sustainability and balance are fundamental for the people’s better life. Destructing the environment is essentially the same as destructing the future itself because the people’s life strongly depends on the environment. In this study, qualitative information was described thoroughly and analytically. The description covers the environmental destruction occurred in the playscript of Dhemit by Heru Kesawa Murti as well as the form of resistance towards the environmental destruction. The approach used in this research was descriptive qualitative. This approach was used to interpret the deep meaning of a literary work on its relation the society. This interpretation was based on the notion that literary work is the resemblance of the real world. The author himself is a part of society who consciously or unconsciously is affected by the society.

Abstract

Perkembangan dibidang refrigeran didorong oleh dua masalah lingkungan, yaitu penipisan lapisan ozon (Ozone Depleting Potential) dan pemanasan global (Global Warming Potential). Untuk mengatasi kedua permasalahan tersebut diperlukan refrigeran natural. Refrigeran natural yang biasa digunakan adalah air, udara, gas mulia, hidrokarbon, amonia dan karbondioksida. Musicool merupakan refrigerant hidrokarbon yang mempunyai sifat fisika dan thermodiamika lebih baik dibandingkan dengan refrigeran sintetik. Musicool dengan sifat kerapatan massa yang kecil dibandingkan dengan refrigeran sintetik mengakibatkan jumlah aliran massa melewati evaporator lebih sedikit. Dengan sifat tersebut diperlukan pengaturan laju aliran refrigeran untuk mendapatkan kesetimbangan aliran antara kompresor dan katup ekspansi.  Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melakukan pengesetan titik awal bukaan katup ekspansi agar performa refrigerasi menjadi optimal menggunakan refrigeran musicool. Penelitian dilakukan dengan memvariasi jumlah aliran massa refrigeran yang masuk ke evaporator dengan memutar penyetel katup ekspansi searah dan berlawanan jarum jam (-3600, - 1800, 00atau standar, 1800 dan 3600) untuk mendapatkan efek refrigerasi, kerja kompresi dan COP optimal. Dari penelitian ini didapat performa sistem refrigerasi terbaik pada kondisi katup ekspansi pada -1800 yang memiliki nilai kerja kompresi rendah yaitu 37 kJ/kg dan nilai COP tertinggi yaitu 7,2.

Abstract

Tingginya emisi hidro karbon (HC) dan karbon monoksida (CO) yang dihasilkan kendaraan  lama (old vehicle), dikarenakan keausan komponen mekanika mesin yang   mengakibatkan tingginya blow-by gas. Teknologi positive crankcase valve (PCV) yang diaplikasikan pada kendaraan mengakibatkan uap oli  masuk ruang bakar dan menyebabkan efek penurunan performansi mesin.  Penambahan Oil Catch Tank (OCT) dengan pemilihan filter yang  optimum diharapkan mampu menangkap uap oli masuk kedalam  ruang bakar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi jenis filter penangkap uap oli yang optimal.  Emisi HC, CO dan kondisi visual kerak karbon pada elektroda busi selama pemakaian tertentu dipilih untuk menentukan performansi mesin. Penelitian ini menggunakan  filter busa urethane dan kombinasi busa-serat stainless dengan dimensi tertentu sebagai variabel yang dibandingkan. Putaran mesin 750, 1500 dan 2000 rpm, juga dipilih untuk mengamati trend perubahan performansi terhadap kondisi putaran mesin. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggunaan filter jenis busa urethane pada OCT menunjukan performansi yang paling optimal pada semua kondisi parameter uji.

Abstract

Datsun Go merupakan salah satu mobil Low Cost Gren Car (LCGC) yang beredar di Indonesuia. Mobil ini sudah dilengkapi dengan sistem AVG (Average) atau pembacaan rata-rata bahan bakar yang dapat dilihat dengan mudah pada display. Namun demikian laporan terkait konsumsi bahan bakar yang disampaikan pengguna kendaraan sangat bevariasi. Tujuan studi ini adalah untuk menginvestigasikesalahan pembacaan konsumsi bahan bakar pada berbagai kondisi dan dinamika kendaraan. Metode studi ini dengan mensimulasikan berbagai kemiringan dan juga akselerasi kendaraan. Hasil investigasi menunjukan bahwa terjadi kesalahan pembacaan fuel sender karena pengaruh dinamika kendaraan Dinamika dan kondisi kendaraan sangat berpengaruh terhadap pembacaan konsumsi rerata bahan bakar.

Abstract

This article presents an overview of the technology status and market trends of LPG-fueled vehicles through the literature approach to re-evaluate their future. In the review, it is discovered that LPG vehicles are globally increasing, though with a concentration in some countries. Of the 25 countries included in the World LPG Association (WLPGA) annual report 2018, Turkey, Poland, India, Ukraine, and Mexico are the countries with the best LPG vehicle trends in average of 23%. Meanwhile, Australia, Japan, South Korea, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, and Germany with a long history of implementing LPG as an alternative fuel has experienced a decline in the 2013-2017 period by 17%. This was allegedly due to the penetration of diesel-fueled vehicles over the last ten years. Moreover, developed countries experiencing decline have succeeded in developing electric-based vehicles such as Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV), Plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV), and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEV) due to stringent demands for emission standards.
