Abstract

This study analyzed the effect of financial performance, institutional ownership, and firm size on firm value. This study used the partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis to examine which indicators best measure financial performance. This study employed panel data from Indonesia's 13 property and real estate sector companies. This study found that the return on assets ratio is the only indicator measuring financial performance. This study also found that financial performance positively affects firm value. On the other hand, institutional ownership affected the firm value negatively. In contrast, this study failed to prove any positive effect of firm size on firm value. This study indicated that investors tend to pay close attention to profitability as the primary consideration when investing in property and real estate companies' shares. Another implication of this research is that the significant institutional ownership in a company tends to make investors uninterested

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial factors on firm value with gender diversity as the moderating variable. Male directors tend to show risk-takers traits, whereas women directors are more risk-averse which become effective in decision-making. Gender diversity is proxied by the presence of women on the board of directors and on the board of commissioners. The samples are companies admitted in Kompas 100 index and listed on IDX from 2015 to 2019. Firm value was measured by using the Tobin's Q formula. The data were processed using Eviews 11. To determine the model for the hypothesis testing, the Chow test and Hausman test were carried out, and fixed effect model was selected. This study proves that the presence of women can weaken the relationship between profitability and firm value, and it can strengthen the relationship between activity ratio and firm value. However, the presence of women cannot strengthen or weaken the influence of leverage and liquidity on firm value. It is recommended that a company has women representation in the structure of the board because women directors have more sensitivity to risk which can compensate the character of male directors who are risk-takers. Abstract

The national program of Authorized Economic Operators (AEO) program is a mandate that must be carried out by customs administrations in each country according to the agreement on WCO SAFE Framework of Standards, is adopted in 2005. Indonesia has expressed its commitment to implementing this program since the signing of the letter of intent of WCO SAFE FoS in 2005. The results of research analysis on the implementation of the AEO program in Indonesia show the conclusion that (1) the high interest of economic operator companies to participate in the AEO certification program is due to the potential benefit factor that will be received. Second (2), there are 13 standard conditions and requirements that must be met by AEO companies which are based on the DGCE Regulation number PER-4/BC/2015 breakdown into 51 criteria. This is a challenge that needs to be faced by enthusiasts of the AEO program to avoid administrative failure rates in the certification process. Finally (3), the efforts made by Customs in increasing the number of AEO certified companies, among others, by active socialization to economic operator companies and also Customs vertical units in the regions, carrying out Focus Group Discussions, and the most strategically developing a coaching clinic program as a form of assistance to economic operator companies who are interested in participating in the AEO program. Abstract

Malang is a tourist city that has natural beauty and various culinary tours, including Coffee Shops. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate an Accounting Information System (AIS) for SME stakeholders, particularly the food and beverage sector, and to design an SME AIS, in particular the revenue and expenditure processes based on Business Process Modelling and Notation (BPMN). This study adopts Research and Development approach with a case study method in four coffee shops in Malang. The results of the evaluation show that there are still shortcomings and weaknesses in the acceptance and expenditure process. To reduce such cases and improve SME operations, a BPMN-based AIS has been developed, specifically in four business processes, namely Ordering, Purchase of Raw Materials, Payroll and Balance Sheet Summary, equipped with documents to monitor business developments and prepare profits. / loss report. Prior to implementation, material experts and media experts conducted validation tests, with the results that the AIS was feasible to be implemented. In addition, the new system was piloted in two coffee shops for one month. Implementation results suggest that a BPMN-based AIS should be built to reduce these problems and improve the operations of small businesses. This would include four business processes, including ordering, purchasing raw materials, payroll, and preparing financial statements, which would be accompanied by documents and a website, https://rekapyuks.xyz, to keep track of business changes and compile a Profit/Loss Report. Prior to implementation, two experts performed validation tests, which revealed that the AIS could be implemented. Furthermore, the new system and website were tested for a month in two coffee shops. According to the study's findings, MSMEs should improve internal control to reduce fraudulent actions by segregating duties and utilizing information technology to create a web-based Profit/Loss Report.
