Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in mathematics learning. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in mathematics learning in class V Baitul Jannah Elementary School in Bandar Lampung by using a problem-based learning model. The research method used by the researcher is classroom action research in collaboration with fifth-grade teachers at Baitul Jannah Elementary School in Bandar Lampung, with a total of 25 students in grade V consisting of 10 male students and 15 female students. This research took place in 3 cycles, each cycle consisting of 3 actions. The techniques used in data collection are observation, tests, interviews, documentation, and field notes. The results showed that the application of problem-based learning models can improve student learning outcomes in mathematics learning in class V SD Baitul Jannah Bandar Lampung.

Abstract

Elementary school level students who study at international schools use a foreign language in this context which is English. However, in Indonesian class, they must use Indonesian properly and correctly. The situation of the students in using Indonesian during the Indonesian language course shows their efforts to have the same identity with their teachers who are indeed Indonesian citizens (WNI). They often change the use of English to Indonesian or also insert Indonesian in their English sentences. This phenomenon gives the view that language functions not only as a means of communication but can also be used so that speakers have the same identity.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a digital student book based on picture story books that is theoretically valid and effective for use for grade 5 elementary school students. This research was conducted using the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The results of the product validation values that were validated by design experts were 83%, material experts 96% and linguists 90%. From this score, an average score of 89% is obtained, the textbook product is categorized as feasible to use. The level of product feasibility based on the one-on-one evaluation stage by the VB class teacher got a score of 100% and the small group trial by 20 class VB students at SDN Kalibata 11 Pagi got a score of 83%. From this score, the average score of 91% of the textbook products is categorized as feasible to use. With the existence of a picture story book-based textbook in which the book is dominated by interesting and fun pictures, it will have a positive impact on students. Students will really understand learning if they use textbooks based on picture story books.

Abstract

This research discussed of the strategy reading aloud for caused to emerge student interest in reading at the fourth grade of SDN Pancoran 07 Pagi. Because reading is one of the language skills that needed in daily life. Especially in education. This research aimed to describe the factors that influence the reading interest of fourth grade students at SDN Pancoran 07 Pagi and to explain the implementation of strategy reading aloud that have been carried out by the teacher for developing theirs reading interest. The method that been used in this research is qualitative with descriptive approach which means the researcher describes the results of the research that has been carried out in a narrative and costumized based on the conditions that already found out during the study. The results obtained through interview, questionnaires, and documentation which tells that there are some factors that influenced students' interest in reading such as: (1) external factors such as, the role of parents, infrastructure, and the influence of teacher. (2) internal factor, which is theirself like their ability in reading. And the strategy reading aloud that been carried out by the teacher to the fourth grade students was running effectively, students looked excited when the teacher asked them to read and some even took the initiative to read.

Abstract

The research and development aims to produce learning media for Pancasila and Civic Education in the form of a traditional game of engklek, called Engklek Kerjasama (ENGKER) and to test the feasibility of the developed learning media. In addition, this media is to introduce the value of cooperative character to students. The development model used by researcher is ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. Respondents in this research and development consisted of class IV elementary school teacher and 16 grade IV students elementary school. Sources of data were obtained from interviews and questionnaires. Furthermore, it is analyzed using qualitative an quantitative analysis techniques. The result of the validation obtained an average value of 97,67% by media experts at 98.52%, the material expert at 96.42%, and the linguist at 98.07%. Furthermore, the product assessment of grade IV elementary school teachers was 98.07%. Then, based on the results of students trials, it was obtained an average value of 93,8% for the one to one stage of 92.5%, the small group stage of  94.86%, and the field test stage of 94.27%. This shows that this media belongs in the very good category, therefore it is appropriate to be used as a learning media for Pancasila and Civic Education for Class IV elementary school especially the material of cooperation in diversity.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low listening ability of students in learning Indonesian. This study aims to improve the listening ability of Class III students at SDN Klender 03 Pagi through the application of audio-visual media. The subjects of this research were 28 students of Class III SDN Klender 03 Pagi. Data collection techniques used are tests, observations, interviews, field notes, and documentation. This research was conducted in 3 cycles with 3 actions in each cycle. The results showed that audio-visual media can improve students' listening skills. This is indicated by an increase in the average value before giving the action to cycle III. The average value obtained in the first cycle reached 57.31, in the second cycle the average value obtained increased to 75.36, and in the third cycle, the average value obtained increased to 88.89. In general, it can be concluded that the application of audio-visual media can improve students' listening skills in Indonesian lessons in Class III Elementary School

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low level of students' speaking skills. This study aims to improve the speaking skills of third-grade students at SDN Klender 03 Pagi through the application of audio-visual media. The subjects of this study were the third-grade students of SDN Klender 03 Pagi as many as 28 students. Data collection techniques used are tests, observations, interviews, field notes, and documentation. This research was carried out in 2 cycles with 2 actions in each cycle. The results showed that audio-visual media can improve students' speaking skills. This is indicated by an increase in the average value from before giving the action until the second cycle. The average value obtained in the first cycle reached 56.70, and in the second cycle, the average value obtained increased to 88.50. In general, it can be concluded that the application of the storytelling method can improve the speaking skills of students in class III SDN Klender 03 Pagi.

Abstract

This research and development aim to produce a learning media through character education-based on Tapak Gunung games and specifically introducing character values in Strengthening Character Education in elementary schools. This study is a Research and Development (R & D). The method of this study using the ADDIE development model. The subjects of this study were the teacher of grade IV Elementary School Private Laboratory, Elementary School Teacher Education, State University Jakarta, grade II and IV students of elementary school in total were 24 subjects. Sources of data obtained through interviews and questionnaires, which are then processed using qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques. The results of the validation of this studyobtained an average value of 95% by material experts, 97.05% by media experts, and 96.43% by linguists. Based on student trials, it was obtained an average score of 94.68% for one-to-one, 93.88% for the small group, and 94.16% for the field test. In addition, the media assessment by the teacher obtained a score of 98.21%. The results of this study indicate that the character education-based tapak gunung game media is in a very good category, so it is suitable for use on civic-education learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Parenthood is one of the important responsibilities for nurturing, guiding, and educating children in order to explore their potential and form a good person. The purpose. of this study is to. describe the role of parents in accompanying the success of children's learning during the pandemic and to describe the obstacles parents encountered while accompanying home learning. The research uses a qualitative research approach with data collection techniques Interview, Documentation, Questionnaire Results of analysis of parental interview data in the process of parenthood in home learning mentoring has "good" criteria. As evidenced by the results of the questionnaire the role and constraints of, parents in the mentoring of learning .at home with "quite good", with some obstacles that exist. Constraints on the difficulty of understanding materials for parents who are against the background of low-level education criteria for children's learning. As well as the constraints of time sharing between work and accompanying children's learning at home at the parents of economic level criteria. The role of parents in accompanying home learning is very Influential. Because in the current condition parents are required to guide, provide support, and motivate the child to remain passionate in implementing. the online learnig process. Regardless of the circumstances of the parents, must still conditionthe time, energy and mind for the child. To deal with this condition, parents must also follow and improve their thinking and learning skills.
