Abstract

The presence of political dynasties in power struggles from regional to national level is inseparable from the role of political parties and the regulation of the regional head elections. Oligarchy on the body of a political party can be seen from the tendency of candidates nominating by political parties based more on the wishes of party elites, not through democratic mechanisms by considering the ability and integrity of the candidates. Simultaneously, political dynasties continue to establish solid networks of power so they can dominate and kill democracy within political parties. In the context of society, there is also an effort to maintain the status quo in the region by encouraging families or people close to the head of the region to replace the incumbent. Weak regulation to trim political dynasties has contributed to the widespread political dynasty in the regional head elections. The practice of dynastic politics is also suspected to make the weakness of checks and balances function to the effect of corruption acts committed by the head of the region and their relatives. The regional head elections system is new, but the old faces that are nothing but the continuity of the political dynasty characterize this Pilkada event which is feared could threaten the phase of democratic transition towards consolidation of democracy.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the political elite coalition in regional expansion. The problem is focused on the case of the expansion of the Cirebon Province since 2009, when the Presidium for the Establishment of the Cirebon Province (P3C) was declared. Until 2019, P3C has not been able to form a coalition of local political elites to propose the expansion of Cirebon Province. In order to approach this problem, the theoretical reference of the political elite coalition in regional expansion initiated by Ehito Kimura is used. The data collected through interviews and documentation, then analyzed qualitatively. This study concludes that the local political elite coalition did not form for the expansion of Cirebon Province due to differences in issues between local political elite groups who agree with local political elites who reject the issue of the use of economic resources, regional development, political interests, ethnicity and former political history. - Cirebon residency. In addition, the weakness of the local political elite coalition which is only supported by three regions and the corrupt behavior of the elites who approve the proposed expansion of Cirebon Province at both the lower and upper levels, resulted in the absence of the expansion of Cirebon Province during 2009-2019.

Abstract

The aim of this article is to dissect the hyperreality side of the online video game Free Fire. Hyperreality can be seen from the war simulations contained in the course of the game, the weapons used, the selected characters that players can use, to the virtual world that becomes the battle arena. This article uses Jean Baudrillard's hyperreality concept which can show the sides of the game that make up the hyperreality conditions of the players, so that players can no longer distinguish between reality and the artificial. With a qualitative approach, this article explores and understands the meaning in the game by interpreting a collection of texts and then analyzing it by prioritizing the human side. The conclusion of this study shows that players are trapped in a world that no longer refers to a real prototype as usual simulations do. The simulacra contained in the game is in the form of a gameplay that does not refer to real warfare, character and weapon selection, team strategy as a productive form of simulacra, and the battle arena as a natural form of simulacra. The hyperreality in the form of war simulacra and scenes of violence is getting stronger with the interaction feature between players and the proliferation of e-sports competition ecosystems in Indonesia that offer big prizes.

Abstract

This research was driven by the COVID-19 pandemic which had an impact on changes in employee working arrangements. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, many employees worked from the office (WFO), however, after the pandemic, many employees had the opportunity to work flexibly (either working from home or other remote work). This adaptability is part of the Flexible Working Arrangement (FWA), which is being implemented in an effort to minimize the spread of COVID-19. Various studies have found that such work arrangements, even in public organizations, will continue to be adopted after the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, organizations must ensure that flexible working arrangements have a positive impact on their organization. One of the efforts that can be done is to evaluate from the perspective of proactive work behaviour. In this regard, the objective of this research was to determine the best effort for implementing proactive work behaviour in the implementation of flexible working arrangements. The study was carried out with a qualitative approach and data collection techniques through documentation studies. The results indicate that proactive work behavior can be achieved in the context of implementing flexible work arrangements by: 1) establishing appropriate flexible working policies, 2) providing adequate organizational support, and 3) paying attention to employee well-being

Abstract

This study analyzes public policy innovations regarding the prevention and control of Covid-19 as a new policy innovation to contain the spread and growth of Covid-19 cases. This is expected to be able to analyze policy innovations that can accelerate the handling of the Covid-19 problem. This research was conducted in Semarang City based on Nugroho's (2015) theory of quality policy (2015). The research method uses a qualitative approach with literature study analysis techniques using data collection techniques by searching various secondary data sources in the form of government documents, electronic mass media reporting with the keyword search for innovation in the application of Covid-19 response policies. The results of this study found that since the implementation of this new innovation policy, there has been an increase in the cure rate of 77.09% of the total confirmed cases and a decrease in the risk of spreading so that the City of Semarang is in PPKM (Enforcement of Community Activity Restrictions) Level 1 with low risk. One of the contributors to the number of Covid-19 cases is immigrants from outside the city of Semarang who reached 45% of new positive cases. The high mobility of the movement of people outside the city of Semarang entering the city of Semarang and the low level of control and supervision of the movement of the arrival of residents outside the city of Semarang who enter the city of Semarang who carry the virus must be a major concern in controlling the rate of increase in Covid-19 in the city of Semarang.

Abstract

Actor network is a collaboration that emphasizes the relationship or interaction between actors involved in a particular public affair to make the public affairs successful, it is very dependent on coordination between actors in finding a middle way to achieve common goals. The network of actors is very important and urgent in accelerating the implementation of the land registration acceleration program at the National Land Agency of Semarang City. Based on the Actor Network Theory (ANT) theory proposed by Bruno Latour in 1987, it has been used in various fields of knowledge, including the social field, with the concept of consensus building which was initiated where stakeholders interact, negotiate and have tolerance as the basis and used in this study to describe the model. network of actors in accelerating land registration as a form of public service. This study aims to identify and analyze the role of actors, as well as the network model of actors in the complete systematic land registration acceleration program in the city of Semarang. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method and the key instrument is the researcher (the researcher is the key informant). The results of this study indicate that the Semarang City Land Office is the main actor and acts as a mouthpiece for implementing policies, facilitators and coordinators. This study examines the development of policies for accelerating land registration in Indonesia in relation to network relationships between actors who influence policies in this field.
