Abstract

The agricultural sector, especially coffee cultivation, faces major challenges in managing pests and diseases in a sustainable manner. This study aims to analyze the effect of the implementation of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) on the behavioral awareness of coffee farmers in East Java. Using a quasi-experimental approach and mixed methods, this study involved four farmer groups: Sumber Urip, Mulyo Jaya, Suka Maju, and Kebun Jeruk Sukses. The results showed that the application of IPM significantly increased farmers knowledge and skills, and influenced their awareness of environmentally friendly agricultural practices. The convergent validity test showed that all indicators had significant loading factors, with R² values ranging from 15.1% to 52.1%, which showed that the variation in farmers behavioral awareness could be explained by the implementation of IPM. Supporting factors such as resource availability, farmer awareness, and community support contribute positively, while lack of prior knowledge and limited access are obstacles. Recommendations to improve the effectiveness of IPM implementation include the development of relevant training materials, increased farmer involvement, and stakeholder support. With a comprehensive approach, it is hoped that coffee farmers can become more aware and implement sustainable agricultural practices, supporting the sustainability of the agricultural sector in Indonesia.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the successful implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) in Senior High Schools through a literature review of several related articles. The research method used is library research by accessing the Google Scholar database using the keywords "Implementation" and "Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project". The results of the study show that the readiness of schools, teachers, supervision, and students greatly affects the success of the implementation of P5. Schools need to provide adequate facilities, involve school committees and communities in planning, and periodically evaluate programs. Teachers play an important role in the implementation of P5, so it is necessary to receive training to understand the preparation of modules, develop learning methods, and master contextual principles, holistic, exploratory, and student-centered. These principles encourage students to be more active, creative, and independent in the learning process. In addition, internal and external supervision is also an important supporting factor. School supervisors provide direction and motivation, while principals and teachers guide and monitor the course of student activities. Structured oversight helps identify constraints and provide timely solutions. With good support from all elements of the school, the implementation of P5 can run more optimally, allowing students to develop academic competence, social skills, and character in accordance with the values of Pancasila, which is the main foundation of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Banking is a crucial component of the financial sector, serving as the backbone of a country's economy. It functions as an intermediary institution that gathers funds from surplus parties and distributes them to those in need. As a business entity, banks inherently aim to generate profits while fulfilling their roles as financial intermediaries and development agents (Garr & Awadzie, 2021). This study aims to analyze the impact of internal factors—such as credit distribution, capital participation, liquidity, fee-based income, and bank size—as well as external factors like GDP on the profitability (ROA) of conventional Regional Development Banks (BPD) in Indonesia from 2013 to 2023. Utilizing panel data analysis with 23 samples, the findings reveal that credit distribution, fee-based income, and GDP do not significantly affect profitability. In contrast, capital participation and liquidity have a significant positive impact, whereas bank size has a significantly negative effect on profitability.
