Abstract

A study is needed at Samatiga District State Junior High School to investigate how applying local Acehnese wisdom values in learning can improve student character and educational quality. Current learning often neglects these values, focusing mainly on cognitive and skill aspects, leaving negative student behaviors unaddressed. This qualitative study aims to describe and analyze the application of Acehnese local wisdom in shaping the character of seventh-grade students and enhancing education quality. Data will be collected through interviews, observations, and documentation from the principal and teachers, and analyzed descriptively. Initial findings suggest that using Acehnese local wisdom fosters discipline, polite communication, patriotism, respect for local customs, and adherence to school rules. Furthermore, it appears to improve learning quality by making material easier to understand, serving as an effective learning introduction, and providing relevant real-world examples.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of capital structure (Debt-to-Equity Ratio/DER), business risk (Beta), and asset structure (Current Asset to Total Asset Ratio/CATA) on the financial performance (Return on Assets/ROA) of automotive companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2019–2023 period. This research employs a quantitative approach utilizing secondary data. The population consists of all automotive companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2019 to 2023, with purposive sampling used to select the sample. The study applies Descriptive Statistical Analysis, Classical Assumption Tests, Multiple Linear Regression Analysis, t-test, F-test, and the Coefficient of Determination (R²). The results show that Beta and CATA have a positive and significant effect on the ROA of automotive companies in Indonesia, while DER does not have a significant effect. Simultaneously, the three independent variables (DER, Beta, and CATA) have a significant effect on ROA, with an Adjusted R² of 86.23%, reflecting the model's ability to explain the variability in financial performance. This study is original as it integrates the analysis of capital structure, business risk, and asset structure to provide a comprehensive assessment of financial performance in the automotive sector, while also updating the analysis period through 2023.

Abstract

Digital transformation in human resource (HR) management has become critical to improving organizational performance and commercial sustainability. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the success of applying the Darwin Box application in human resource management at PT Bukit Muria Jaya, as well as its effects on organizational effectiveness and business sustainability. Furthermore, this study investigates disparities in views of digitalization efficacy across work roles and highlights barriers in digital transformation implementation. The study takes a quantitative approach, including survey methodologies and statistical analysis. A Likert-scale questionnaire was used to collect data from 1,241 employees, which were then evaluated with Pearson correlation tests and linear regression. The study found that using Darwin Box had a considerable impact on organizational performance, with a correlation value of r = 0.72 (p < 0.01) and a 51.8% contribution (R² = 0.518, p < 0.01). HR digitization also improves corporate sustainability, with operational efficiency being the most important aspect (39.7%). This study is unique in that it employs a thorough quantitative methodology to empirically examine the effects of HR digitization on organizational efficiency and business sustainability. These findings emphasize that HR digitization is more than just a technology breakthrough; it is a basic strategy for increasing business competitiveness. Key recommendations include improving training, upgrading technology infrastructure, and performing frequent reviews to maximize the benefits of digital transformation

Abstract

This study's objectives are to assess the level of soft skill mastery among students, identify any issues that arise, and develop effective growth strategies. Soft skills are a crucial component in today's increasingly digital and dynamic workplace. This study assesses the mastery of soft skills as well as the strategy and tactics for developing them. A mixed-method approach was used to gather information: questionnaires were sent to 200 students, 50 students were given soft skill tests based on case studies, 10 students, 5 students, and 5 employees were interviewed, and the curriculum and report were analyzed. The study's findings indicate that the student has excellent communication skills (3.7) and teamwork (3.9), but is somewhat lacking in flexibility (2.9) and leadership (3.1). These soft skills emphasize that, while a student can solve problems in a straightforward manner, they struggle to deal with complex situations that require innovation and multidisciplinary teamwork. Interview and document analysis indicate that curriculum adherence and practical experience are crucial for developing soft skills. This study highlights the need for curriculum revision based on student feedback, increased access to learning, and the use of digital technology in education. It comes from combined research that looks at competency, what that means for the Chinese education system, and how to build soft skills through long-term experience. It is believed that this will serve as a foundation for educational institutions to implement more effective policies to increase student engagement

Abstract

Effective speaking is an essential communication component, serving as the foremost expression of language. It holds considerable importance in multiple facets of life, and proficient speaking necessitates practice in mechanics, functions, and social and cultural conventions. This study explores the used of Instagram's new feature, Reels, to improve speaking fluency among students. Reels feature on Instagram offers a new approach to teaching, allowing students to feel more confident and creative to enhance their speaking skills. This qualitative study involved 25 seventh-grade students from one of private schools in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. The data were obtained through observations, questionnaires, and interviews. The analysis was done by applying the data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that most students accomplished their projects effectively, demonstrating enthusiasm and active engagement. The findings showed that implementing Reels in the speaking project improved the students’ speaking skills. It also enhanced their self-confidence, social skills, and proficiency in other language skills, specifically Bahasa Indonesia. This study also revealed that students faced challenges in the Reels speaking project, including internet connectivity, pronunciation, and video-making. However, they successfully navigated these issues. Despite challenges, integrating technology into education promotes a positive learning environment and enhances students' communication and language abilities.
