Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between self-efficacy and anxiety levels among Generation Z individuals acting as the sandwich generation in Jakarta. These individuals often face dual responsibilities, potentially increasing psychological strain if not supported by strong self-efficacy. Using a quantitative, non-experimental design, the study involved 123 Generation Z respondents in Jakarta. Data were collected through the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES) and Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (ZSAS), and analyzed using Spearman correlation. Results showed that most participants had low self-efficacy (55.28%) but were within normal anxiety levels (67.48%), with 30.08% experiencing mild anxiety and 2.44% moderate anxiety. The Spearman analysis revealed a very weak, non-significant negative correlation between self-efficacy and anxiety (r = -0.022, p = 0.808). These findings indicate no significant relationship between self-efficacy and anxiety in this group. Therefore, psychological interventions and programs to strengthen personal capacity are recommended to support Gen Z in managing their dual roles more effectively. Future research is encouraged to consider potential mediating variables, such as social status, occupation, and education, which may influence both self-efficacy and anxiety.

Abstract

Technological developments have given rise to new threats in the form of cyber attacks, one of which is Advanced Persistent Threat (APT). APT is a campaign of attacks by groups that may or may not be linked to a state (state-sponsored). Based on reports from various sources related to cyber security, data shows that cyber attacks originating from North Korea have targeted several countries in various sectors such as government, finance, and private industry. Therefore, this study aims to understand the perceptions and motives behind cyber attacks, including those carried out by North Korean APT groups in targeting the global cyberspace. This study uses a qualitative-deductive method with the threat perception theory, as well as data from literature and documents from various scientific sources. The results show that North Korea's APT is an asymmetric strategy used to maintain regime stability and mitigate global economic pressures in a hidden way.

Abstract

Flexible Working Arrangement (FWA) is increasingly recognized as a strategic approach to improve employee well-being, particularly in public sector organizations that often struggle with rigid bureaucratic systems. This study investigates the direct and indirect effects of FWA on Happiness at Work (HAP), with Employee Engagement (EE) as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 800 employees in the Indonesian public sector through a structured questionnaire. Structural Equation Modeling with SmartPLS 3.4 was used to test the hypotheses. The results showed that FWA significantly affected EE (? = 0.332, t = 5.504, p = 0.000) and HAP (? = 0.143, t = 2.742, p = 0.006). In addition, EE has a strong positive effect on HAP (? = 0.530, t = 10.868, p = 0.000) and significantly mediates the relationship between FWA and HAP (indirect effect ? = 0.176, t = 5.516, p = 0.000). These findings underscore the importance of fostering a flexible work environment to enhance employee engagement and psychological well-being.

Abstract

This study investigates how young leaders utilize social media as a strategic communication tool to influence public emotion within digital political environments. Employing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach and guided by the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) framework, 15 peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2015 and 2024 were critically reviewed. The findings are categorized into four major themes: political engagement, emotional mobilization, public trust, and crisis communication. The analysis reveals that young leaders strategically use emotional narratives such as anger, hope, fear, and solidarity to shape public sentiment, mobilize action, and foster trust, especially during times of sociopolitical unrest and public health crises. Additionally, the study emphasizes the challenges posed by disinformation and the importance of authenticity, emotional tone, and adaptive messaging in digital leadership. This research contributes to the discourse on youth political communication by proposing the need for emotion-centered strategic frameworks to guide impactful and responsible social media engagement.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of cash flow and accounting profit on stock returns in construction companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2019–2023 period, with firm size as a moderating variable. Using a quantitative approach, the research utilized secondary data derived from annual financial reports, analyzed through panel data regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) using E-Views software and using SPSS software for the KMO test. The results showed that cash flow and accounting profit each have a positive and significant effect on stock returns, meaning that improvements in these financial indicators tend to increase investor returns. However, firm size was found to weaken the positive relationships between both cash flow and accounting profit with stock returns. In larger companies, the increase in cash flow or profit does not necessarily enhance investor trust, potentially due to more complex management and reporting structures. These findings highlight the need for companies to maintain efficient financial performance while managing their public image and transparency to maintain investor confidence. The study is limited to construction companies; future research is recommended to include broader sectors such as GCG or LQ-45 listed firms. The implication for company management is to pay strategic attention to cash flow, profitability, and company size to boost stock performance and investor appeal.

Abstract

Petshops have been rapidly growing due to increased public awareness of pet care and food needs. The rising trend of pet adoption has fueled the expansion of petshops in various regions. The competition in the pet retail industry demands more targeted marketing strategies to enhance customer loyalty. One effective method is RFM (Recency, Frequency, Monetary) analysis, which allows for customer segmentation based on their shopping behavior. This study aims to analyze the customer behavior patterns of Dhiza Petshop Tanjung Selor using the RFM method with Python and Matplotlib, based on customer transaction data from December 21, 2024, to January 20, 2025, using 11 segments: Champions, Loyal Customers, Potential Loyalists, Recent Buyers, Promising, Need Attention, About to Sleep, Cannot Lose Them, At Risk, Hibernating, and Lost. The results show that the customer behavior patterns at Dhiza Petshop Tanjung Selor are dominated by customers with recent purchasing activity, while the number of loyal customers remains limited, indicating the need for retention and reactivation strategies to strengthen long-term relationships. The application of RFM analysis using Python and Matplotlib allows for efficient segmentation of customers, resulting in improved marketing strategies. The percentages for the 11 customer segments at Dhiza Petshop Tanjung Selor are: Champion (0.1%), Loyal (0%), Potential Loyalist (0.9%), Recent Buyers (72.6%), Promising (4.4%), Need Attention (0.1%), About to Sleep (0.2%), Cannot Lose Them (0%), At Risk (0%), Hibernating (12.1%), and Lost (9.6%).

Abstract

This study examines the influence of financial compensation on turnover intention by considering the mediating roles of affective and normative commitment among employees of PT. Electronic Data Interchange Indonesia (EDI-Indonesia). The high rate of employee resignations in this company forms a critical background for identifying internal factors that affect employee loyalty and retention. The objective of this research is to empirically test the direct and indirect effects of financial compensation on turnover intention, and to explore the mediating roles of affective and normative commitment in this relationship. A quantitative approach was employed using explanatory research design. Primary data were collected through a survey using a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to the entire population of permanent employees at EDI-Indonesia, comprising 50 individuals, with a total sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares (PLS) through SmartPLS version 4 software. The results revealed that financial compensation has a significant positive effect on both affective and normative commitment, and a significant negative effect on turnover intention. Furthermore, affective commitment was found to mediate the relationship between financial compensation and turnover intention. However, normative commitment did not mediate the relationship between financial compensation and turnover intention. The findings highlight the importance of a fair and competitive financial compensation structure in enhancing employee loyalty and reducing the intention to leave the organisation. It is recommended that the company strengthens its compensation policy by taking into account the psychological and emotional aspects of its employees. This research provides a strategic foundation for human resource policy development and serves as a theoretical reference for future studies in organisational management.

Abstract

Corruption in Indonesia is not merely a manifestation of individual moral failure, but rather a structural phenomenon rooted in an unequal social and political system. From the Marxist perspective of Karl Marx’s social conflict theory, corruption is understood as a tool of domination used by the ruling class to maintain control over resources and power. This study employs a qualitative approach through a literature review method to analyze the social impacts of corruption, particularly on governance structures and the future of the educated generation. The findings reveal that corruption systematically undermines the government’s function as a public servant by fostering an unaccountable and exclusive bureaucracy, thereby triggering social disintegration due to public distrust in the state. In the education sector, corruption exacerbates inequality and hampers social mobility, depriving younger generations of equal opportunities for advancement in a system that prioritizes power relations over meritocracy. Corruption not only results in material losses but also cultivates a permissive mindset toward injustice, posing a threat to human resource development. This study aims to formulate progressive and transformative social strategies to establish more just, transparent, and corruption-free governance and education systems.
