Abstract

Crime that has been occurring frequently lately in society is the criminal act of theft, which is highly disturbing. Violent theft is commonly known as robbery. It differs from regular theft in that it involves intentionally causing physical harm. Behavior that deliberately harms others can be termed as aggressive behavior. Aggressive behavior involves intentionally causing physical or psychological harm to someone, with potentially detrimental effects. This research aims to understand the description of aggressive behavior among robbery perpetrators in Surabaya. The researcher utilized Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) and validated the data through triangulation, data validation, member check, and rechecking of themes. The methods employed included observation, interviews, and documentation, with thematic analysis used as the data analysis technique. During the interviews, the researcher identified three major themes: understanding specific terms, experiences behind bars, and comprehending from a comparative perspective. Additionally, a unique theme emerged related to the concept of power. The findings of this research reveal a depiction of aggressive behavior among robbery perpetrators.

Abstract

The regional language in the traditional marriage of the Sangihe tribe is an integral part of the cultural heritage of this tribe in Indonesia. This language reflects the values, norms, and traditions that are deeply rooted in the marriage process of the Sangihe tribe. In this study, the researcher explored the important role of traditional languages in Sangihe wedding ceremonies, this study shows that the regional language of Sangihe weddings has an important role in guiding and celebrating the marriage process. The language includes unique phrases, prayers, and speaking procedures that honor traditions and ancestors. The role of this language in maintaining family unity, respect for ancestors, and social responsibility is very important. However, in the face of changing times and global influences, the traditional language of Sangihe weddings faces the risk of declining use. Efforts to preserve and maintain this regional language are becoming increasingly important to connect the younger generation with their cultural roots.

Abstract

Students who are in the formal operational stage, where they have the ability to think abstractly and critically, have the potential to achieve flourishing. Students experience increased responsibility and competition in various aspects of their lives, such as academics, work, family, social, and personal interests. By understanding the relationship between flourishing and Piaget's cognitive development theory, we can create better support programmes for university students. This research uses a literature study method through the review of theoretical literature, references, and other scientific literature. Using Piaget's theory of constructivism, students can achieve flourishing through active learning, deep engagement, autonomy development, and relevant and contextualised learning experiences. An educational environment that provides freedom and flexibility allows students to develop optimal formal operations thinking ability, which is an important basis for achieving flourishing in higher education.

Abstract

This research discusses the role of capacity-building training and local culture's influence in changing village government officials' behaviour. The main focus of this research is the importance of integrating technical and local cultural aspects in training to make it more effective and relevant. Training that only focuses on technical skills without paying attention to the local sociocultural context can cause resistance and be less accepted by officials and the community. On the other hand, training integrated with local cultural values ​​, such as cooperation and openness, increases the professionalism of the apparatus, improves the quality of public services, and strengthens public trust in the village government. This research uses a qualitative approach to understand the role of capacity-building training and the influence of local culture in changing apparatus behaviour. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, participant observation, and analysis of documents related to the training program. The primary informants for this research were the village head, village secretary, and village staff, who were selected purposefully to ensure the relevance of the data. Data analysis used NVivo 12 software with open and axial coding techniques to identify central themes and relationships between concepts. The research results show that the success of training is greatly influenced by its relevance to local culture and the ability of the apparatus to respond to community needs. This research recommendation includes the need for contextual, participatory and sustainable training design to achieve positive.

Abstract

This research is based on the results of a preliminary study at state junior high school 38 Samarinda showing a lack of speaking etiquette, with indicators that students often speak dishonestly, use inappropriate language, speak harshly, speak in a rude tone, and give nicknames to friends. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of storytelling technique group guidance services to improve speaking ethics. The type of research used is quantitative experiment. The experimental design used in this research was one group pretest - posttest. The population of all classes VII state junior high school 38 Samarinda with a total of 134 students and a sample of 7 students were identified as having low speaking ethics. The sampling technique used is Non-Probability Sampling with Purposive Sampling technique. The research results showed that before being given treatment the average score was 54%, after being given treatment the average score was 91% and the average score increased by 59.46%. Based on the T-test results, it is known that Sig. (2-tailed) has a value of 0.000 < 0.05, so it can be concluded that Ha is accepted, which means that there is an increase in speaking ethics in class VII students after receiving treatment in the form of storytelling technique group guidance services. So it can be concluded that storytelling technique group guidance services can be used to improve speaking ethics in class VII students at state junior high school 38 Samarinda for the 2023/2024 academic year.

Abstract

Western political thought is often based on principles such as democracy, human rights and secular systems. The concept of peace in Western political thought is often related to diplomacy, conflict resolution through negotiation, as well as the recognition of human rights as a universal foundation for peace. This research examines the concept of peace in conflict from the perspective of Western and Islamic political thought. Aristotle focused on the concept of justice and good forms of government, including monarchy, aristocracy and democracy. Al-Farabi: Developed the concept of an ideal state oriented towards morality and ethics. He believed that politics should lead to the happiness of society. Western political thought emphasizes diplomacy, democracy, human rights, free trade and tolerance as the foundations of peace. Meanwhile, Islamic political thought prioritizes upholding justice, sharia law, and security as the foundation of peace, and introduces the concept of jihad as an effort to defend justice. This study uses a qualitative research method with a literature study approach, analyzing literature sources related to Western and Islamic political thought. The results of the analysis show that despite their principled differences, the two traditions share values such as tolerance and interfaith dialogue that can contribute to global conflict resolution. By understanding the potential common ground, this research offers a more inclusive and holistic approach in addressing the complex conflicts of the modern world.

Abstract

The economic and business development in Indonesia heavily relies on the role of financial institutions, particularly banks, in providing capital through credit facilities. However, the distribution of credit also faces the risk of default, necessitating an effective legal protection system for creditors. This research aims to analyze the legal protection for creditors in credit agreements that utilize mortgage rights as collateral under Indonesian positive law, identify the issues that hinder its implementation, and formulate solutions to strengthen legal protection in order to enhance creditor confidence. This study employs a normative legal research method with conceptual and statutory approaches, focusing on an in-depth analysis of creditor protection in credit agreements with mortgage rights through the examination of legal principles, legal systematics, and relevant regulations. Data is collected through literature study, while data analysis is conducted using qualitative methods with a deductive approach, which includes stages of identification, interpretation, consistency analysis, and synthesis to identify legal gaps and formulate recommendations for improving legal protection for creditors. The research findings reveal that legal protection for creditors in credit agreements with mortgage rights in Indonesia faces several obstacles, including inefficient execution processes, limited collateral objects, uncertainty in collateral valuation, low capacity of registration institutions, and a lack of legal awareness among the public. To address these challenges, proposed solutions include optimizing the execution process, expanding the types of collateral objects, establishing clear valuation guidelines, enhancing the capacity of the National Land Agency, providing legal education to the public, improving existing regulations, increasing inter-agency coordination, and strengthening oversight and law enforcement. With these measures in place, it is expected that creditor confidence will improve, the investment climate will enhance, and economic growth will be promoted while maintaining a balance of interests among all parties.

Abstract

Interferensi merupakan bentuk penyimpangan dari kaidah bahasa yang benar karena adanya pengaruh bahasa pertama pada bahasa kedua. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengklasifikasi bentuk-bentuk interferensi bahasa Melayu Manado dalam pembelajaran bahasa Jepang. selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor yang melatarbelakangi terjadinya interferensi dalam pembelajaran bahasa Jepang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan sumber data berupa tuturan siswa dan guru saat berbicara bahasa Jepang. data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan teori interferensi. Abstract

Saribu Rumah Gadang Tourist Area offers a captivating cultural tourism experience, with the diversity of Rumah Gadang architecture based on ethnic groups adding to its appeal for visitors. This research aims to analyze the development of the Saribu Rumah Gadang tourist area in Solok Selatan (Solsel) in enhancing Minangkabau culture. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, literature review, as well as interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that the development of the Saribu Rumah Gadang tourist area has not been fully optimized. Financial feasibility has not met expectations due to uneven budget allocation among the community; however, socio-economic and regional feasibility shows a positive impact on increasing local income, particularly for homestay owners and small business owners. Technical feasibility is still lacking, as evidenced by neglected facilities. Environmental feasibility is satisfactory and adequate, supported by appropriate facilities.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the potential of Manihot esculenta (cassava) as a sustainable food source through innovative production techniques utilizing the au bain marie method. Manihot esculenta, a primary source of carbohydrates in many developing countries, offers environmental benefits due to its ability to thrive in diverse soil conditions and extreme weather. This research examines how the use of the au bain marie technique—which prioritizes indirect heating to preserve nutritional quality—can enhance the culinary value of cassava while supporting local food sustainability efforts. The methodology includes experimental production of various cassava-based dishes using the au bain marie method, along with an analysis of sensory characteristics, nutritional value, and economic feasibility. The results show that the au bain marie technique can retain essential nutrients in cassava while improving its texture and flavor, making it an appealing alternative in modern cuisine. These findings underscore the importance of innovation in processing local food ingredients to enhance culinary sustainability and promote the diversification of environmentally friendly food products.
