Abstract

Infant massage is therapeutic touch of the oldest and most popular known to people. Stimulus or stimuli given earlier can also tighten the love of parents with children and healthy bond. Infant massage done by the parents themselves can increase milk production and weight gain in infants, but today there are many parents who do not understand about baby massage example is they always massaging the baby while the baby is in a state of pain while massaging requirement is the baby must in a healthy state. The purpose of research to determine the ratio of weight gain in infants who do baby massage and not in the village of Kampung Tutugan Cihanjuang Rahayu. This study uses a comparative research design is the design of the experiment with ways to intervene in some groups, the population in this study were all infants aged 3-7 months in Rw 06 and 07 village Tutugan in May 2013 as many as 68 babies, sampling techniques using total sampling. Babies will be massaged for 30 days and will be weighed twice, namely the initial weight before weighing and weight after 30 days do baby massage, data analysis using T test results showed that there were differences significant weight gain in infants which do massage and not to the value of P value <0.000.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the active management of the third stage of the implementation of appropriate standards in normal childbirth in the maternity hospital Pangestu Bandung. This study is a descriptive study. The data collected is of primary data, obtained from direct observation nonparticipant on the implementation of the active management of the third stage of labor. The samples were all over normal delivery. Results from 30 deliveries, on the implementation of the principle of active management of the third stage, namely: oxytocin less than 2 minutes was performed according to the standard, controlled cord stretching already standardized but there are some as much as 20% do not, wait for the uterus to contract in advance. And on the implementation of uterine massage after delivery of the placenta 16.7% have not done according to the standard. From these results it can be concluded that the overall implementation of the active management of the third rated well on the oxytocin and controlled cord stretching and massage of the uterus is considered less good.

Abstract

In Indonesia, a target of achieving exclusive breastfeeding was set at 80%. However, in reality, coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia decreased. One solution to enhance return with coverage of exclusive breastfeeding is doing relactation. Relactation was an attempt to breastfeed again after so long stop to breastfeed. Relactation can be performed in women who had never breastfed or had never been breast-feeding. This literature study aims to determine the success of relactation and the factors that influence the success of relactation. This study is a review of the literature. The duration of the process of relactation depends on the age of the baby. Factors that influence the success of relactation including galactogues use, the support of her husband and the support of mothers (p <0.05). Mothers who failed in the process of relactation occurs because frustrating with a little milk (43%), fatigue (14.3%), weight infants less (14.3%), flat nipple (14.3%), a strong rejection of infants (4.8%), pregnant (4.8%), and no support from family (4.8%). Research on relactation in Indonesia is very limited. Thus, more research is needed to support the evidence of the success of relactation.

Abstract

HIV or Human Immunodeficiency Virus is Virus that attack of white blood cells(limfosit) in the body resulting decline in the human immune. AIDS caused by a virus HIV. The purpose of this study is to determine the knowledge of pregnant mother about HIV/AIDS at Haurgeulis Public Health Centre, Indramayu Regency Year 2014. This research is a descriptive study. Study population was 65 pregnant motherHaurgeulisin Public Health Centre, Indramayu Regency year 2014 and the sample was using the accidental sampling. The research instrument was used a questionnaire with total of questionare 30 questions. Based on research result shows that pregnant mother knowledge about HIV/AIDS is (20,01%) of the respondents have less knowledge while (70,76%) of respondents have sufficient knowledge and (9,23%) of the respondents have a good knowledge. A total of (46,15%) of respondents have a sufficient knowledge about the understanding of HIV/AIDS, as many (55,38%) of the respondents have a sufficient knowledge about sign and symptoms of HIV/AIDS, as many (41,53%) of the respondents have sufficient of HIV/AIDS and as many (49,23%) of the respondents have a transmission knowledge about the of HIV/AIDS. Have sufficient knowledge about the prevention 49,24%. The conclusion of this research is the knowledge of pregnant mother about HIV/AIDS is in the category of sufficient knowledge. It is expected that health services can increase the information media and education through counseling and health reproductive education to prevent the spread of viruses HIV/AIDS.

Abstract

Indonesia represent countris burden high as contributor of case of tuberculosis to four after India, Chinese and African South. Tuberculosis represent contagion with number mortality one among other contagion. Disease of tuberculosis because of catching tuberculosis mycobacterium pass air. Date of Public Health Service in Pandeglang District show house contact with patient of tuberculosis doing screening only 5%, though ought to all house contact do skrining before medication started by patient of tuberculosis. Low of him of screening tuberculosis at house contact result infection continue happened, found overdue case and many symptom by patient of medication after even death. This research aim to know factors related to behavior of tuberculosis screening at house contact. This Research type is quantitative research with analytic desain of corelasional with approach of study control case. Its research sample that is family contact house with patient of tuberculosis in District of Pandeglang counted 250 family. Technique intake of sampel by purposive sampling. Pursuant to result of research that there is relation of signifikan between age, gender, nuptials status, race, education, work, distance, transportation, time, health insurance, and knowledge with behavior of tuberculosis screening and no relation of signifikan between earnings, expense of, relation with patient of tuberculosis, family type, belief health and perceived of need with behavior of tuberculosis screening. Variable most dominant its relation with behavior of tuberculosis screening at house contact in Pandeglang District year 2015 that is work variable.

Abstract

One of premenopausal syndrome symptoms: depression (anxiety) caused by penunman hormone estrogen. The fall in estrogen cause a decrease in neurotransmitters in the brain, a neurotransmitter in the brain affecting mood so that if these neurotransmitters low levels, it would appear anxious feelings that trigger depression or stress. 37.9% Based on the study premenopausal women who have suffered from depression penunman estrogen levels. Low estrogen levels have an increased risk to become depressed 3.7 times greater than those who did not experience a decrease in estrogen. Im study aims to determine the level of maternal anxiety in the face of menopause prameopouse in RW 09 Village Sadang Serang District of Coblong. This research type is descriptive research. The population in this study is the mother of 09 premenopausal RW village in Serang District of Coblong Sadang as many as 47 people. The sampling technique in this research is total sampling. Research ie no anxiety (4.2%), mild anxiety (12.76%), anxiety was (49%), severe anxiety (34.04%), severe anxiety did not exist. Premenopausal mother in RW 09 Village Sadang Serang District of Coblong experiencing moderate levels of anxiety in the face of menopause as many as (49%). Suggestion : for premenopausal mothers should increase knowledge about menopause by reading leaflets, counseling by health workers, and more active in neighborhood health center to ask the elderly because it is very beneficial for oneself in the face of menopause.

Abstract

Indicators of health status of a nation is the high life expectancy. In Indonesia, hypertension is a serious problem, as well as high prevalence, it is also caused a very fatal disease such as heart disease, stroke, kidney failure and others that affect the life expectancy. Hypertension is still very high in the region of Majalengka, West Java. Incidence of hypertension in the region is around 6.12%, and the impact of hypertension (complication) is the highest morbidity rate of approximately 48% of the total number existing pain. The purpose of this study is to identify of the risk factors in hypertension suffer for male at Banjaran Public Health Center Majalengka Regency. To achieve these objectives, carried out research that is quantitative descriptive with 87 respondents. Data analysis of univariate data to generate data, such as frequency and percentage that is the description of the risk factors of hypertension. Results showed the risk factors of hypertension is high sodium intake (28.7%), moderate (60.9%), low (10.3%). Heavy smoking (59.8%), moderate (28.7%), mild (8%), non-smokers (3.4%).Type A personality (74.7%), personality type B (25.3%). No exercise (77%), exercise is not ideal (19.5%), sports ideal (3.4%). From the results above, the researcher recommended to increase the promotion and prevention for patients with hypertension to avoid further complication.

Abstract

Restriction of fluid intake is a factor of the hemodialysis adequacy, which is very important in the hemodialysis success therapy for patients with chronic renal failure. The purpose of this study was to assess the relationship between fluid intake restriction and hemodialysis adequacy for chronic renal failure patients during hemodialysis therapy. This study used descriptive correlational design. The independent variable was fluid intake restriction and the dependent variable was the hemodialysis adequacy. The sample in this study was 52 patients with chronic renal failure during hemodialysis therapy in hemodialysis units dr.Slamet Garut Hospital. The result showed that most of patient (73.1%) had appropriate fluid restriction. Out of this number, 78.9% was adequate and 21.9% was inadequate. The rest (26.9%) was inappropriate fluid restriction. Out of this number, 42.9% was adequate and 57.1% was inadequate. The contingenci coefesien test showed p.value = 0.012 which was less than α (0.05). Thus, H0 was rejected and it can be concluded that there was a significant relationship between fluid intake restriction and hemodialysis adequacy. For nurses in Hemodialysis Unit dr. Slamet Garut, the result can be used to promote health education using banner as a media, so that the patients and families can enhance their attention about fluid intake that consumed by the patient.

Abstract

Maternal and infant mortality rate is the most important part related to the age of life literacy of Indonesian population. Data from Health Department of Garut District shows that childbirth rate by traditional birth attendants (TBAs) in public health center of Sukakarya only 28% in 2012. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationships between the level of knowledge, economic status, service delivery by traditional birth attendants and the selection of delivery assistance by TBAs. The method was used analytical research with cross sectional design. The participants were pregnant mothers who recorded in the data of maternal deliveries target. The data was collected by interview from 45 pregnant mothers. The results showed that the majority of pregnant mothers (64.0%) had a good perception level of service delivery by TBAs (P= 0.521). The most pregnant mothers (92.9%) who have a poor level of knowledge and low level of socioeconomic (75.9%) chose to deliver by assistance of traditional birth attendants (P = 0.004; P= 0.003, respectively). This study suggested that primary healthcare professionals are expected to increase pregnant mothers’ knowledge in term of selecting birth attendance assistance by promote health education, thus can support them to choose delivery at healthcare professionals.

Abstract

Breast cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer death, usually affects women aged 18- 54 years, especially high risk in women aged 45 years, amounting to 25% (Lee, 2008). Based on the results of research on breast cancer, there were 26 cases per 100,000 women with breast cancer each year. The existence of the phenomenon certainly brings concern for all of us to the risk of increasing the incidence of breast cancer. During the various treatments performed on patients with breast cancer, such as surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and hormone therapy. Therapy is not always profitable and successful, but can cause side effects. Recent research suggests non-pharmacological treatment such as self-hypnosis, relaxation, massage and acupressure therapy proven to reduce the side effects of chemotherapy. Massage therapy as an alternative treatment proven to reduce a variety of physical complaints / psychological result of chemotherapy. Various journals have published the results of research on the positive effects of massage therapy in relieving many complaints in patients with breast cancer due to chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Data collected in the form of literary journals that published research results, traced using CINAHL-EBSCOhost, ProQuest, PubMed, HealthMed Journal, with the key word "Breast Cancer", "Massage Therapy", and in between. It also searches done through Google search engine using the filetype pdf. Finally found the article as much as 5 years of publication in the 2000s, that between the years 2004-2011. The inclusion criteria used were each journal that discusses the influence of massage therapy in reducing the various complaints in patients with breast cancer, with English literature in the form of full articles ranging from abstract to conclusion. In general, the conclusions from this literature review that massage therapy can be used as an alternative non- pharmacological treatments to reduce the perceived grievances of patients as a side effect of breast cancer treatment
