Abstract

Background: The ten patrons of disease at the Moni Health Center, the highest acute respiratory infection (ARI) of all cases, the second highest ARI in toddlers (62.90%) in Ende District. ARI can inhibit oxygenation of the body, causing decreased cell metabolism, thereby inhibiting growth and development, can contribute to morbidity and mortality in infants. Toddlers are still fully cared for by the family, which is the front line to prevent toddlers from getting sick.Purpose: Determine the effect of knowledge and family home environment on the incidence of respiratory infections in toddlers.Method: The research design is a mix of methods and approaches cross sectional. The sample size was calculated based on the Slovin formula of 164 respondents. Sampling using purposive dan accidental sampling. Data collected by interview, observation. The instrument used is the standard instrument. Bivariate Analysis Who Square to examine the effect of family tasks on the incidence of ARI. Logistic regression test to analyze the strength of the influence of knowledge and family home environment on the incidence of ARI at the 95% confidence level and significance limit p ≤0,05.Results: Bivariate test increases the risk, namely family knowledge OR=1.950 (95% CI: 1.571-2.421; p=0.000), maintenance of the home environment, OR = 94.53 (95%) CI: 4.120 - 21.690p - value = 0.000 ), In the multivariate analysis, it was found that the most dominant variable influencing increased risk was the maintenance of the home environment. There is a need for periodic health counseling and promotion related to efforts to prevent and control ARI, further research needs to use other methods. Conclusion: The most dominant variable that influences increasing risk is the maintenance of the home environment.  There is a need for periodic health counseling and promotion related to efforts to prevent and control respiratory  infections, further research needs to use other methods.

Abstract

Background : Doctors who practice through application-based telemedicine do not have a clear legal regarding the services they provide. Telemedicine regulations that exist in Indonesia are still inadequate to cover all actions in telemedicine transactions, especially for legal protection for doctors who are legal subjects in this transaction. Given that until now, every telemedicine transaction must be under a Health Service Facility or an Online Doctor Consultation Service Provider. Thus, the doctor here as a provider of consulting services is actually not the main person who makes this transaction possibleMethod: Normative juridical approach, namely research conducted byhow to examine theories, concepts, legal principles and legislation related to this researchResults: Article 50 of law number 29 of 2004 concerning medical practice explains that a doctor has the right to obtain legal protection as long as his actions are in accordance with professional standards and standard operating procedures. In terms of application-based telemedicine, doctors do not have a practice permit, but during the COVID-19 pandemic, telemedicine was developed massively, the pandemic was considered an emergency, so the KKI regulation NUMBER 74 of 2020 concerning clinical authority and medical practice through telemedicine was issued during the COVID-19 period. The limit of clinical authority for application-based telemedicine practice is limited to consultation, not including medical action and administration of hard drugs. Conclusion: A doctor who has pocketed the STR is authorized to provide health services in accordance with his competence. The authority obtained by a doctor who has an STR is a form of recognition given by the government to the doctor concerned that he is worthy to provide health services in the form of medical practice. The limit of clinical authority for application-based telemedicine practice is limited to consultation, not including medical action and administration of hard drugs.

Abstract

Background: Since the discovery of Covid-19, scientific developments, policies, and programs regarding Covid-19 have changed rapidly. In 2022 the Covid-19 vaccine arrived at the second booster. In Indonesia, various policies related to Covid-19 are also experiencing very rapid adjustments, such as the policy for travelling using public transportation, planes, trains, and ships that require the completeness of the Covid-19 vaccine up to boosters. These regulations make the Covid-19 vaccination a necessity that seems forced. Pregnant and postpartum women are also not free from the target of giving Covid-19. Various theories and research have proven that knowledge is related to attitude. Following this theory, knowledge and attitudes will align with the completeness of Covid-19. So if positive knowledge and attitudes affect the completeness of the Covid-19 vaccine, then it will not be affected by the Covid-19 vaccination obligation policy required by the Indonesian government.Purpose: To find out the relationship between Knowledge and attitude of accepting COVID-19 vaccine booster doses and third doses among postpartum women in Palembang, IndonesiaMethod: This study was quantitative. The design was analytical with a cross-sectional approach. The study samples consisted of 38 postpartum mothers in Independent Practice Midwife at Palembang. The complications of postpartum mothers were excluded. The sampling technique was accidental sampling. Results: There is no relationship between knowledge and accepting COVID-19 vaccine booster doses and third doses (p=0.348), but in the analysis, there is a relationship between attitude towards vaccination readiness and accepting COVID-19 (p=0.003), there is a relationship between attitude towards government policy and completeness of vaccination Covid-19 (p=0.004), there is a relationship between attitudes towards vaccines and accepting COVID-19 (p=0.015)Conclusion: There is no relationship between knowledge and accepting COVID-19, and there is a relationship between attitude and accepting COVID-19

Abstract

Background: Anemia prevalence worldwide ranges from 30-50%, mostly occurring in developing countries, predominantly affecting adolescent groups. In Indonesia, the prevalence of anemia in females aged ≥15 years is 22.7%. Cases in Indonesia include 45% in Denpasar City and 62% in Bengkulu Province. Generally, adolescent girls are vulnerable to anemia due to significant blood loss during menstruation, posing risks of Low Birth Weight (LBW) and stunting during childbirth.Purpose: To determine the effectiveness of Progres MIRA (Specific Education Program for Anemia Prevention in Adolescents) on compliance with iron supplement consumption and hemoglobin levels in adolescent girls on Enggano Island, North Bengkulu Regency in 2023.Method: This study used a quasi-experimental post-test only method with a control group. The Progres MIRA research intervention involved a specific education program for anemia prevention in a special classroom setting. The independent variable was Progres MIRA, the dependent variables were hemoglobin levels and compliance with consuming iron supplement tablets, and external variables included menstrual duration, menstrual cycle, nutrient intake, and economic status. Results: The research findings showed that 82.9% of adolescent girls had a menstrual duration of >6 days, which influenced the amount of iron supplement tablet consumption among them. The menarche age among adolescent girls in the Progres MIRA group was 28.6% at an age <12 years. Compliance levels in treatment related to the menstrual duration variable obtained a ρ-value= 0.01, menarche age obtained a ρ-value= 0.57, malnutrition deficiency index obtained a ρ-value= 0.04, and MUAC obtained a ρ-value= 0.10. This indicates that Progres MIRA effectively increases compliance with iron supplement tablet consumption among adolescent girls. Conclusion: Progres MIRA is effective in improving compliance with iron supplement tablet consumption among adolescent girls. Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) significantly affects compliance with iron supplement tablet consumption among adolescent girls.

Abstract

Background: The Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) is a ligament that has the function to maintain the stability of the knee so that it does not shift excessively towards the front. ACL injuries are injuries that are often experienced by sports athletes, especially those who often make fast and sudden movements. There are non-operative and operative methods for treating ACL. Non-operative methods are considered less effective because they usually require a slightly longer recovery period. One of the most frequently used surgical methods is reconstruction. After reconstruction, there is a need for exercises to speed up recovery and improve its function. Some examples of exercises that can be used are Open Kinetic Chain (OKC) and Close Kinetic Chain (CKC) exercises.Purpose: To determine the level of effectiveness between OKC and CKC for individual after ACL reconstructionMethod: This research was a systematic review and meta-analysis with the PRISMA diagram to filter supporting articles. To assess the quality of Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) design studies,  the Critical Appraisal Checklist was used. Meanwhile, the Characteristics for Included Studies were used to assess the feasibility. The article search came from the Pubmed database with the keywords "Close Kinetic Chain" AND "Open Kinetic Chain" AND "Anterior Cruciate Ligament" AND "Reconstruction". Inclusion criteria were full text articles in Indonesian or English with an RCT study design. The relationship measure used was Mean Difference, and Revman 5.4. was used for analysis. Results: There were five articles from UK, US and Turkey for this study. The results of the study showed that there was an increasing effect after carrying out OKC and CKC exercises. However, the difference in exercise benefits between OKC and CKC exercises was not notably significant, which were shown by a p-value >0.05 (MD= -1.66; 95% CI=-18.71 to 5.42; P=0.65).Conclusion: OKC and CKC exercises had been proven to have an effect on improving ACL recovery after reconstruction, but the difference in effect between OKC and CKC had not been found.
