Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan menemukan karakter kebangsaan dalam sejarah Nahdaltul Wathan (NW) menurut pendekatan analisis wacana kritis. Data kajian dikumpulkan melalui identifikasi dan pencatatan sejarah NW dalam buku dokumen sejarah NW. Data dianalisis menurut tiga aspek dalam analisis wancana kritis: posisi teks, siapa yang diuntungkan, dan konteks sejarah ketika teks sejarah. Selain tiga aspek dalam analisis wacana kritis, analisis didukung oleh analisis sejarah melalui penafsiran dan pemahaman. Melalui proses tersebut, fase sejarah NW terbagi dalam empat fase sejarah, yakni fase perebutan dan mempertahankan kemerdekaan Indonesia yang ditandai keinginan merdeka; fase mengisi kemerdekaan era Orde Lama; fase mengisi kemerdekaan Orde Baru; dan fase mengisi kemerdekaan era Reformasi hingga sekarang. Teks sejarah NW pada setiap fase diposisikan sebagai tujuan dan alat. Tujuan Indonesia adalah  merdeka, mengisi kemerdekaan dengan kejelasan bentuk negara, membangun bangsa, dan menjadi negara modern. Tentu saja tujuan ini tidak bisa dicapai jika tidak diperkuat dengan instrumen. Pendidikan dan berbagai struktur-insfrastrukturnya adalah alat pembangunan yang harus diperkuat dalam pembangunan pada setiap fase sejarah. NW sebagai khazanah lokal ikut dalam pencapaian tujuan dan alat tersebut. Keuntungan terbesar menjadi milik masyarakat dan bangsa. Masyarakat menjadi komunitas yang difasilitasi oleh pemerintah dan pemerintah sebagai pelayan masyarakat. Konteks Lombok, NTB, dan Indonesia adalah Indonesia yang merdeka, membangun, dan menjadi bagian dunia modern. Disimpulkan bahwa, NW dan Indonesia memiliki kesejajaran sejarah. Proses pengetahuan, kesadaran, dan tindakan moral sebagai proses pengembangan karakter bangsa dapat dilakukan dengan memahami sejarah NW.

Abstract

People leaving their countries to become permanent residents of other countries and/or change their nationaliites are often seen unpatriotic and having not nationalistic spirits. However, facts show that many of them still show nationalism towards their homelands. This kind of nationalism is called long distance nationalism. Considering literature as a mirror of society, such an issue is found in several literary works. This study was conducted on Rojak (an Indonesian novel) and Bricklane (and English novel), in which diaspora characters were found. The research aimed at finding out if long-distance nationalistic spirits could be found, and how these characters shared their views on their homelands. Method used was comparative literary studies with eclectic approach (combination of structural and postcolonial approaches). Results showed that such diaspora figures, with different personalities and migration motives, represent different cultural identities. Besides, the differences of the migration motives also made impacts on their long distance nationalisms. It is concluded that we cannot generalize diaspora peoples qualities of long distance nationalism for they deal with various aspects, including ambivalences to certain extents.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pencapaian pemahaman mendengarkan siswa setelah diajarkan melalui video film dan untuk menyelidiki proses pengajaran mendengarkan melalui video film di kelas. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas satu SMPN 1 Tegal. Penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan satu kelompok desain pretest-posttest. Uji pemahaman mendengarkan obyektif digunakan sebagai instrumen dan data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji-t berulang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan yang signifikan dari pre-test ke post-test. Nilai rata-rata dari pre-test adalah 54.83 dan post-test adalah 72.17 dan t-value lebih tinggi dari t-tabel. Dengan membandingkan skor pre-test dan post-test, dapat ditemukan bahwa perbedaannya adalah 17,33. Ini membuktikan bahwa perlakuan/treatment memiliki efek positif pada prestasi siswa. Berdasarkan data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan video film di kelas meningkatkan prestasi pemahaman mendengarkan siswa.   Kata kunci: Pemahaman Mendengarkan, Teks Naratif, Prestasi Siswa, Video film

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the description of the markers that were marked, and the meaning contained in the environmentally friendly poster in the Village of Mintaragen, Tegal City. This research writer uses descriptive method. The theory used in this study is the theory of markers and markers by Saussure, which is then used by Roland Barthes, and the division of other signs. Based on the results of the study, the markers on this eco-friendly poster consisted of all the text and images on the poster that were posted on the announcement wall in the Mintaragen Urban Village, Tegal. Whereas markers are formed from environmental posters created to influence poster readers to preserve the region's environment. The meaning of the denotation on the environmentally friendly poster is the same as the sign found on the poster. Meanwhile the connotation meanings on environmentally friendly posters are very diverse, so the determination of meaning or interpretation depends on the knowledge, experience, background, and even the emotions of the reader.

Abstract

Teaching material as a course development is a teaching material that is packaged as material to be presentedinthelearningprocess.Thentheteachingmaterialsmustbemadesointerestingthatstudents aremoreenthusiasticinlecturing.Thatisthereasonwhylecturersintertiaryinstitutionsmustdevelop course teaching materials, one of which is the Appreciation and Drama Study course by integrating Brebes culture with the aim of gaining drama knowledge as well as raising awareness of the spirit of preserving its own culture. The purpose of this research is to compile the development of the Brebes Culture-basedAppreciationandDramaStudycourseandtotesttheeffectivenessofteachingmaterials. This research uses the research and development (R & D) method with the research steps, namely 1) Literature study, 2) Research planning, and 3) Implementation of the final product. Abstract

This research was proposed to increase the ability of descriptive text writing on grade 7 through film media. Film Jembatan Pensil directed by Hasto Broto was implemented in this classroom action research. Though two cycles, this research could increase the ability of descriptive text writing on grade 7 students in SMP Negeri 3 Kota Tangerang Selatan. On the first cycle, the average score obtained is 68.04, while on the second one was obtained 82. It is concluded that film media could increase the ability of descriptive text effectively.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is (1) obtaining an objective description of the increase in the ability of students of the XI-SMA class in composing effective sentences after the student has been given a provision to compose the sentence element and (2) obtained an objective description of the change in student behaviour during the study.  , one way that can be pursued is by increasing the ability to compose effective sentences. The results showed that there was an increase in the ability to compose effective sentences through the technique of arranging the elements of the sentence appears in the results of pretes on composing elements of sentences obtained by the students with an average score of class 5.85, while the results of pretes on the ability to compose effective sentences with the average score of class reaches 6.35. The test results on the sentence element in cycle I reached an average score of 6.58 which means an increase of 0.73 or 1.83%, while the test results on the effective sentence on the I cycle achieved an average score of 7.59 which means an increase of 0.91 or 2.28%, while the test result on effective sentences in cycle II was obtained an average score of 8.01 which means an increase of 0.42 or 1.05% Keywords: increased ability, compose effective sentences, techniques for composing sentence elements.

Abstract

The existence of different greeting words in society, shows that language has variations. Likewise, in the community of Tegal who has the Tegal dialect, they have a unique greeting that is not owned by the Javanese people who do not have the Tegal dialect. The purpose of this study is to describe the greeting words in the Tegal community, which are limited to direct greeting words. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with sociolinguistic theory. Provision of data by the method of listening with the technique of independent engage and competent listening technique is capable, then proceed with the note taking technique. Data were analyzed by translational equivalent method and pragmatic equivalent method. Presentation of data by informal methods. The results showed that the greeting words in the Tegal community which had the Tegal dialect included the greetings of kinship relations, the greetings not kinship, the greetings to village officials, and the words of religious titles. Greetings of kinship are in the form of greetings to mothers, grandparents, sisters, and siblings. The word greeting is not a kinship in the form of a greeting to boys and girls, greeting to old men and women, greeting to young men. Greetings to village officials are in the form of greetings to the lurah, shoulders, lebe, and RT heads. Greetings to people who have religious titles are in the form of greetings for hajj and religious teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) determine whether the application of the Make a Match learning model with Series Image Media can increase the activity and learning outcomes of writing skills in Descriptive Text material in grade VII I SMP Negeri 1 Pangkah Semester Even in the 2018/2019 Academic Year; 2) knowing how the process of implementing the Make a Match learning model with Media Image Series takes place as an effort to improve writing skills of Descriptive Text material for grade VII I students of SMP Negeri 1 Pangkah Even Semester 2018/2019 Academic Year. This research was conducted in 2 cycles, and based on the analysis of the results of the observations and assessments conducted by the researcher, it can be concluded that: 1) the results of the study in the initial conditions showed a lack of enthusiasm for student learning 2) the activities and learning outcomes of students on writing skills of descriptive text material in Cycle I and Cycle II which is obtained has increased.

Abstract

This study describes the politeness of language in the ethnic Chinese community of Pekalongan City in the realm of commerce. The data in this study were collected using the observation method, while the data analysis was carried out using the ethnographic method. The form of obedience to the principle of language politeness in the Chinese ethnic Pekalongan City community in the realm of trade is in the form of a thimble rather than feeling, a thief of generosity, a thimble of approval, a thimble of approval, and a bidal of sympathy. Furthermore, the violation of the principle of politeness committed by the people of Pekalongan City, the ethnic Chinese in the realm of trade. The thimble whose politeness is violated is the thimble rather than feeling, the thimble of generosity, the thimble of approval, the thimble of humility, and the thimble of approval.
