Abstract

This research discusses the social conflict in Al Bahri novelet in the collection of novelets Tiga Ombak by Gola Gong by reviewing it according to the sociology of literature with qualitative research methods. The purpose of this study is to describe the social conflict in Al Bahri's novelette in the collection of novelets Tiga Ombak by Gola Gong and the implications of the research results on Indonesian language learning in high school. Based on the results of the study, it can be found that social conflicts in the novelet collection consist of social conflicts within individuals 51%, social conflicts between groups and individuals 24%, social conflicts between individuals and individuals 20%, and social conflicts between groups 5% and can be implied on Indonesian language learning in SMA class XII at KD 3.9 analyzes the content and language of the novel.

Abstract

Metode guessing game menuntut peserta didik untuk mencari banyak kosakata untuk menjelaskan sesuatu objek seperti benda, hewan ,tumbuhan dan manusia. Tujuan dari penelitian iniadalah untukmengetahui apakahmetodeGuessingGamemempengaruhihasil belajar speaking skill padapeserta didik kelas tujuhdiSMP negeri di Kecamatan Jatibarang..Untukmengumpulkan data,peneliti menggunakantes,observasidandocumentasi.Untukmemperolehdata peserta didik, peniliti menggunakan testertulis dan bentuk pilihan ganda.Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif.PenelitimenggunakanrumusChi-squaredanT-testuntuk menganalisisdata.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Chi kwadrat hitung = 2,3, dibandingkan dengan Chi kwadrat tabel dengan dk(derajad Kebebasan) 6-1=5 , dan taraf kesalahan 5%, pada tabel = 11,07, Terbukti data Chi Kwadrat hitung< Chi kwadrat tabel (2,3< 11,07), maka Distribusi data hasil Post tes adalah Normal. Selanjutnya hasil analisis data pre test dengan post test dengan rumus t-tes diperoleh T-hitung > T tabel ( 7,926 > 5,991) (5%),lebihbesar.

Abstract

The Who Am I Quiz Learning Model is a learning model designed in such a way as to increase student learning activity and have implications for increasing writing skills. The purpose of this study was to improve student learning activeness and writing skills of class students. To strengthen and facilitate this study the authors used several accurate references. This study used two stages, namely cycle I and cycle II. Each cycle consists of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. From the results of the study, the percentage value of student learning activeness in the first cycle was 56.25% in the active category and very active and increased in the second cycle, namely 93.63% in the active and very active category. While the average value of writing skills in cycle I was 66% and increased in cycle II to 76.3. Meanwhile, the percentage of completeness in the first cycle was 62.5% and increased in the second cycle to 93.75%. This improvement proves the success of descriptive text learning through the Who Am I Quiz learning model.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the description of the markers that were marked, and the meaning contained in the environmentally friendly poster in the Village of Mintaragen, Tegal City. This research writer uses descriptive method. The theory used in this study is the theory of markers and markers by Saussure, which is then used by Roland Barthes, and the division of other signs. Based on the results of the study, the markers on this eco-friendly poster consisted of all the text and images on the poster that were posted on the announcement wall in the Mintaragen Urban Village, Tegal. Whereas markers are formed from environmental posters created to influence poster readers to preserve the region's environment. The meaning of the denotation on the environmentally friendly poster is the same as the sign found on the poster. Meanwhile the connotation meanings on environmentally friendly posters are very diverse, so the determination of meaning or interpretation depends on the knowledge, experience, background, and even the emotions of the reader.

Abstract

The existence of different greeting words in society, shows that language has variations. Likewise, in the community of Tegal who has the Tegal dialect, they have a unique greeting that is not owned by the Javanese people who do not have the Tegal dialect. The purpose of this study is to describe the greeting words in the Tegal community, which are limited to direct greeting words. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with sociolinguistic theory. Provision of data by the method of listening with the technique of independent engage and competent listening technique is capable, then proceed with the note taking technique. Data were analyzed by translational equivalent method and pragmatic equivalent method. Presentation of data by informal methods. The results showed that the greeting words in the Tegal community which had the Tegal dialect included the greetings of kinship relations, the greetings not kinship, the greetings to village officials, and the words of religious titles. Greetings of kinship are in the form of greetings to mothers, grandparents, sisters, and siblings. The word greeting is not a kinship in the form of a greeting to boys and girls, greeting to old men and women, greeting to young men. Greetings to village officials are in the form of greetings to the lurah, shoulders, lebe, and RT heads. Greetings to people who have religious titles are in the form of greetings for hajj and religious teachers.

Abstract

The government has long recomended lessons that include local advantages. One of the goals is that students can recognize, preserve, process and develop local advantages and also the purpose of contextualizing learning. However this recommendation is completely not followed by educators. The educators are more based on learning recources provided by the Ministry of Education and Culture so that they do not represent a real problem for students. Thus researcher helps educators to prepare lesson plans that integrate NTT’s local advantages. The aim is to observe the activities of student, student learning outcomes and the responses of educators and students to integration of NTT local excellence in Indonesian language learning. The research subjects were educators and students at SMP Negeri 1 Kefamenanu, SMP Negeri 2 Kefamenanu and SMP Negeri Neonbat. Data collection techniques that used in this research were observation, tests, and questionnaires. The results showed that the activity of students reached 78.33 % which was in the good category, the learning outcomes of students reached 79.21 % which was in the good category, the response of teachers and students the integration of local excellence in NTT reached 95.5 % which was included in the very good category. Nevertheless the integration of NTT’s local excellence in Indonesian language learning needs to be carried out continuously because it makes a positive contribution to the students. Key words: local advantages, Indonesian language learning.

Abstract

Lyrics are literary works that contain an outpouring of personal feelings. In heuristic reading, rhymes are read based on language conventions or language systems in accordance with the position of language as a first level semiotic system. The study of signs and how they work is called semiotics. Semiotics study is a science or method of analysis to study signs. In this analysis, we look for the meaning of the lyrics of Nadin Amizah's songs in the album Happy Birthday through semiotic and matrix readings and models of Nadin Amizah's songs in the album Happy Birthday. The result of this analysis is that the song written is a picture of Nadin Amizah's life that experienced several problems in her life. It can be concluded that the matrix contained in each song is in the refresh.

Abstract

Speaking Skill learning is one of cumpolsory courses for students in Darmasiswa Program. This study aimed to describe Speaking Skill learning through cooking class method for students of BIPA level B1, Darmasiswa Program, Sultan Agung Islamic University, 2019/2020. Method used in this study was qualitative descriptive method. This study obtained sources from informants, documents, and notes in observation result. This study conducted observation, interview and document analysis in order to collect data. The data validity was tested by method triangulation, data source triangulation, and informant reviews. Data analysis technique used in this study was interactive analysis technique. Based on the result of assessment on speaking skill, it was obtained that respondent 1 got score of 89 in Perfect category (A), respomdent 2 got 84 in Very Satisfying category (AB), and respondent 3 got 79 in Very Satisfying category (AB). Furthermore, it could be concluded that the usage of cooking class method was helpful and able to facilitate the students in Speaking Skill learning on theme of 'Cooking Anticovid-19 Fried Rice' using Indonesian Language well and fluently. In addition, the students got more interest and motivation to participate in Speaking Skill class.

Abstract

Learning to write news in online journalism courses in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Program, University of Muria Kudus is difficult for students. Students also have difficulty uploading articles on online news portals. To overcome this problem, online journalism learning implements blended learning, which combines face-to-face learning and online learning with Sunan's e learning using the Moodle application and the online news portal website media, kudusnet.com. This research is a classroom action research. The research subjects were 19 students who took online journalism courses, semester V. The data were obtained by means of test techniques, document review, interviews, and questionnaires. The results showed that the students' ability to write news with the percentage of student completeness reached 52.6% in the first cycle, in the second cycle it increased to 89.5%. The ability of students to post articles on the website has also improved.

Abstract

This study is to describe the language of netizens when using social media, which mostly uses sarcasm. The benefit is that netizens are wiser in speaking in social media because what they are talking about is not necessarily the truth. This study uses a methodological approach. The methodological approach is divided into two, namely a qualitative approach and a descriptive approach. The qualitative approach is an approach that uses arguments in sentences. The descriptive approach in this study is used to provide an orderly description and one or more dependent variables in a particular group, so that it can find the speaker's intentions either explicitly or implicitly behind his speech. The results of this study are deviations in social media, one of which is due to the form of sarcasm language. Sarcasm language if used not at the right time and place can hurt someone's feelings.
