Abstract

Since 1995 Baitul Qiradhhas been serving low - income people who most lywork asmicro enterprises by providing microfinance in Province Aceh. This study was conducted to assessand analy se the impactofbaitulqiradh’ micro finance services to increase the income andreduce povertyamong therecipients. Primary data were collected from 208 completed questionairres distributed to the clients of 8 BQ in six district/city in Province Aceh, in order to find out their perceptions on their impacts they observed on their socio-economic lives after receiving financing from the institutions in question. The finding show that the average mean income after financing was increased significantly IDR 838.221 (42.92%) than before financing. Socio-economicfactorsthatinfluence the increasecustomer income inthisstudyis thelevelof education, number Offinancing andinvest ment sinen trepreneurial training. The results importantly also found that the financing has help in decrease in poverty among the clients from 39.4% before financing to 12.5% after financing.In order to improve role of baitulqiradh Aceh in area study, this study suggest they have to improve their service not only financial side but also social services, to promote their financing products to community, to making tutorial meeting (monthly) to improve clients understanding on islamic values in a practical way, to be more innovative in desinged their financial product to fulfill the needs of their clients particular and community, and to develop link network to other financial institution (bank and non- bank), NGO dangoverment in implement their activity.

Abstract

Economics subject as study has shifted from the study of wealth (material resources) to the study of human behavior when Lionel Robbins published his monumental work in 1932. Economics as a discipline is interested to study the economic agent behavior in making decisions of allocation resources which are scarce relative to human wants which are unlimited. To some scholars, the subject matter of Islamic economics is similar, i.e., the behavior of economic agent. Both economics, definitely, have several doctrines and assumptions of the nature of economic agent behavior related to their economic life an also the notion of economic man development and progress. Mainstream economics conceives homo economicus as the economic agent who is rational, pursuing self- interest, maximizing his own utility, and consider values judgments as exogenous variables. Islamic economics, on the other hand, conceives homo Islamicus as the economic agent who is Islamically rational, pursuing multiple interests (self-interest together with God-interest, social-interest, and the environment-interest), and considers ethics as endogenous variables that would shape the behavior of Islamic man in economic analysis. The concept of human progress and development is outlined in accordance with this “characteristics” of economic man and his “goals” to be achieved. This paper will explore the conceptual differences of economic man in Islamic and conventional framework as well as the concept of human development in both traditions.

Abstract

Recent studies that discuss governance in Islamic perspective have been done by various Islamic researcher including Abu-Tapanjeh (2008), Hassan (2009), Haweez (2013), etc. Most this research used the theoretical approach given in conventional corporate governance and provide additional Tahwid concept. The studies in-depth explanation of relationships between governance and Sharia principles (Islamic Law) is very limited therefore this paper tries to discuss and establish the basic theory of corporate governance based on Islamic Law. The approach used in this paper is the concept of human accountability (Amanah) on the mandate given by Allah SWT as Khalifatullah Fill Ardh. This paper expected can explore new approach to explain corporate governance in Islamic perspective.

Abstract

Crisis arising from the lack of liquidity with asset bubbles, causing the government borrow loans to develop the concept of welfare state that once popularized in the eurozone. As a result, the loan continues to increase without any real investment coupled macroeconomics. In Islamic financial institutions, transparency and accountability of financial institutions strengthen the international financial system, because the assets contributed to the country’s financial stability. Banking institutions continue to be supervised and even cooperate with initiatives to strengthen stability by building cooperation supervision such as: the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institute, the Islamic Financial Services Organization, the International Islamic Financial Market and Islamic Rating Agency. These institutions will strengthen the international Islamic financial architecture and promote the stability of the larger Islamic finance.

Abstract

The market is a natural mechanism for the exchange of goods and services. The market price is formed by a variety of factors which later formed the demand and supply of goods and services. Consumer demand is influenced by many factors, such as price, consumer income, tastes, expectations and level of mashlahah. Quote manufacturers also influenced by many factors, such as mashlahah, profits, and prices. Interaction of supply and demand will establish the balance point that can be changed from the demand side or the supply, either due to the deviation of structured or unstructured deviation. Perfectly competitive market can generate a fair price for the seller and the buyer. Therefore, if the market mechanism is interrupted, then the fair price will not be achieved. Islam puts the market at an important position in the economy, as well as concern about the concept of a fair price and perfect market mechanism.

Abstract

The Goverment’s policy or the state administration officials regulation in The City of Lhokseumawe, Aceh, and its as part of a regulatory authority policy (Vrije Bevoegdheid) in government to act, based on the principle of freies ermessen or discretion. In the implementation of the government rules, this policy as a part of the operational implementation and that can not change or deviate the legislation. In fact, this policy has not been affectively implemented in the community, due to its implementation complied by most people of Lhokseumawe, whether they are compliance, identification, or Internalization.

Abstract

This paper aims to discuss the pattern of the distribution of the zakat funds productively to provide better impact for recipients. The problem of this study is how the concept of distribution of Zakat funds were duly carried out by the charity institution that is able to empower the poor. The study used two approaches. First: observations on the pattern of distribution of zakat is done by Baitul Mal Aceh. Second: literature approaches to see which Zakah bentukpendistribusian memberikandampak better approach maqasid Shari’ah and the concept of CSR. The study concluded, first; micro financing through productive charity run by the Baitul Mal Aceh became one of the effective model and alternative bagimemberdayakan poor. second; Shari’ah maqasid approach and the concept of CSR can be used as a concept for zakat (alms collectors) in zakat mendistribusikandana productive. The approach also provides a way out for charity managers to choose mustahik are a top priority in order to obtain the allocation of zakat funds for charity mustahik freed from poverty

Abstract

This article discusses on the genre of Islamic film as a visual creative innovation that had played a significant role in the society. Film can be regarded as a effective platform in distributing an Islamic idealism propose by the Malaysian and Indonesian’s film director. Obviously the inclusion of Islamic point of view for the development of Malay-Muslim civilization can be done through the medium of film. Based on such background setting, the article had touched on several issues pertaining to the issues of contemporary Islamic problem and collective role needed to be played by both of Islamic scholar and film director. It is suggested that a mutual understanding between ulamak and film director will contributed toward the betterment of Islamic ummah at the modern time.
