Abstract

This research is aimed to figure out the comparison of initial reading ability from group B of KSPA UNJ play group Rawamangun. Whether using Pop Up Flashcard media or without using any media to be given. This research type is Pre-Experimental One-Group Pretest Design with 10 subjects. The data collected through pre test and post test while the learning is in progress. Pre test and post test are used to determine the initial reading ability of the students. Furthermore, the data were analyzed by giving pre test hypothesis (normality test and variance homogeneity test) and hypothesis test by using partial test (T). The result are; there is a comparison of the initial reading ability from the group B KSPA UNJ play group when Pop Up Flashcard media was interfered. It also indicates that Ho was rejected and H1 was accepted.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to produce an environmentally friendly brick and also know the pressure and water absorption of the concrete- based concrete mixture of styrofoam waste, coconut fiber, and rubbing ash. The method used in this research is quantitative experimental research method. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that in order to achieve maximum pressure the composition of the waste should be 25% and to achieve the minimum absorption, the composition of the waste should be 50%. Batako with a waste composition of 25% and 50% can be categorized as suitable for use based on the results of compressive strength and water absorption. Meanwhile, concrete blocks with 75% waste are not suitable for use because the results of pressure testing are below the minimum standard SNI No. 03-0349 in 1989.

Abstract

Hanjuang (Cordyline fruticosa) is perennial plant which has function as protective plant and barrier in rice fields or fields. The research purpose was to determine Hanjuang (Cordyline fruticosa) plant based on morphology and anatomy. The research method used was descriptive qualitative. Samples were taken at Bogor Botanical Gardens. The anatomy Observed under microscope light with magnification 100-400 times. The research resulted that leaves morphology showed pointed apical and base, arrangement pinnate bones, flesh like paper, lanceolate shape, smooth surface, choppy edges, bright purple when exposed to sunlight and purple when is not, and type leaf sheath. Moreover, leaves, stems, and roots have support tissue in form of colenchyma. The anatomy of stem and root showed transport tissue but xylem observed larger than its phloem. Root showed radially shape. Leaves has an actinositic stomata and content ergastic in the form of needle crystals. Leaves could be seen purple in water and changes when to yellow and green after some drops of basic solutions. It showed that Hanjuang (Cordyline fruticosa) leaves contain anthocyanin but no carotenoid.

Abstract

Indonesian language society still has minimal knowledge and lowly comprehension about the concept of words in Indonesian language. This phenomenon raises conflicts, one of them is misconceptions between speakers. Solution that can be done is the socialization of concept of Indonesian words. Based on that solution, this research produces new product to socialize the concept of Indonesian words called Kolekbindo (Komik Leksikon Bahasa Indonesia), namely the socialization media of concept of Indonesian words-based comic strips digital spreaded through social media. The method which is used on this research is R&D method (Research and Development). The purpose of this research is to produce new socialization media of Indonesian words. The results of this research can be described as: (1) Kolekbindo has an attractive style of paint and colour combination; (2) The layout is neat; (3) The type and size of the font is clear and the contents are easy to understand; (4) Contrasting characters and unique names is so interesting; and (5) Kolekbindo beneficial of being a media to socialize the Indonesian word’s concepts. Based on the results of the questionnaire, Kolekbindo's usefulness as a socialization media of Indonesian words has a percentage of 85.80% with very good criteria.

Abstract

The spread of massive internet connectivity and penetration of smart devices is a supporting factor why the approach of educational technology is an appropriate step. Currently online learning applications themselves are used for the public both from the level, elementary, junior high, to high school that students get at school can be learned through this online learning application. Now the more widespread online learning applications in Indonesia and more and more people are taking the initiative in making online-based learning with more interesting and creative features. However, no one has specifically developed a specific online learning application for students in vocational high schools. Their existence seems to be marginalized due to the community paradigm which assumes that vocational school children do not need alternative tutoring apart from teachers at school. Though they also need the same thing with high school students and others. Based on this analysis, researchers wanted to create a web-based online learning application for vocational students. Achievement Jack is an online learning application based on learning management system that allows students to be able to do learning through videos delivered by tutors. This study uses the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) waterfall type method, or hereinafter referred to as the waterfall method. Based on the above calculation, from 3 testers who filled out the questionnaire stated that this learning application was running with the results of testing the user interface 98%, the basic functions of the system 100%, and 100% validation. In conclusion, this application runs very well.

Abstract

The increasing use of plastics in everyday life results in environmental pollution. Synthetic plastic isdifficult to be degraded in nature, so we need the main material for making environmentally friendlyplastics. This research was conducted to synthesize seaweed-based biodegradable plastic (Eucheumacottonii) mixed with cassava starch and polysaccharides derived from various tropical fruit seeds thatare widely available in Indonesia such as avocado and durian with a composition ratio of 3:8:1.Characterization carried out included functional group analysis with FTIR, mechanical properties(tensile strength) and biodegradability.

Abstract

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disorder in the respiratory tract that can occur in both childrenand adults who are susceptible to inflammation with symptoms of recurrent wheezing, shortness ofbreath, chest pressure, and coughing as a result of the limited air entering the lungs. The purpose ofthis study was to determine the potential content of butterfly pea tea (Clitoria ternatea) as analternative medication to loosening mucus for asthmatics. This study uses an experimental researchmethod, where in this study investigated the mucolytic activity of butterfly pea tea, conditions,conditions, or other things, which are then presented in the form of a research report. The data in thisstudy were obtained from the results of mucolytic test of butterfly pea tea steeping on cow mucus. Theresults of this study are butterfly pea tea solution having mucolytic activity potential at aconcentration of 30% ????????? so that regular consumption can potentially help thin the phlegm due to adecrease in mucous flow rate after the addition of butterfly pea tea solution and there are similaritiesbetween cow mucus and human sputum.

Abstract

Limbah plastik dari bahan baku minyak bumi sulit terurai oleh mikroba di tanah. Di Indonesia, menurut statistik limbah domestik Indonesia, jenis sampah plastik berada di peringkat kedua pada 5,4 juta ton per tahun atau 14% dari total produksi limbah dan jumlah ini diperkirakan akan meningkat. Mengantisipasi tren global dalam penggunaan plastik dan aplikasinya dalam industri pengemasan, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mensintesis plastik berbasis rumput laut (Eucheuma cottonii) biodegradable dicampur dengan pati singkong dan polisakarida yang berasal dari biji buah tropis yang banyak tersedia di Indonesia, yaitu durian dengan komposisi komposisi 3: 8: 1. Karakterisasi yang dilakukan meliputi analisis gugus fungsi dengan FTIR, sifat mekanik (kekuatan tarik) dan biodegradabilitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa limbah biji durian berpotensi untuk digunakan sebagai bioplastik karena memiliki kemampuan 87,43% terdegradasi di tanah selama 14 hari, kekuatan tarik 4,69 mPA dan hasil perpanjangan 1,92% dan breakout. ekstensi 2,02%, ini dipengaruhi oleh komposisi pati yang terkandung dalam biji durian adalah 46,2% pada biji durian.

Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT) needs to be developed in education and serves as one of the roles of education to face the industrial revolution 4.0. Vocational High School (SMK) is an appropriate level of education to prepare early for knowledge and application of IoT technology. Vocational High School Jakarta 1 has good technology but the competency of applying IoT expertise is still lacking. To improve the understanding and application of IoT, Physics Engineering Study Program of Binawan University proposes a solution in the form of training with the theme: Implementing Internet of Things (IoT) to improve student competence in Vocational High School Jakarta 1. This training aims to introduce about IoT especially implementation in the scheme monitoring by using light and temperature sensors to increase student motivation and competence in the industrial era 4.0. Based on the analysis of the data, it was concluded that the competency of student expertise could be significantly increased through IoT training to be accepted with significance level of 0.05. The method of implementing training is team work that is able to make the training more effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

The study aims to know the integration of mathematics history on mathematics learning in phytagoras material to motivate students on mathematics learning. This study is a descriptive qualitative research with data collection of literature review. The integration mathematics history in mathematics learning can be in a form of utilization of problems and solution that is inspired from math history, utilization of anecdote or stories from history to inspire, utilization of mathematics problems in history as a source of question, etc. Mathematical concept was created from necessity to solve problems in daily basis and that concept can grow along with the growing of needs and knowledge by the humans themselves.Mathematics history as an aid in learning process, can give a new experience for the students and make mathematics learning more meaningful because of the relation of daily activities.
