Abstract

The Villagers of Purwosari I Tamban of Barito Kuala Regency are Javanese farmers who came from Java island (Blitar, Tulungagung, and Trenggalek), and they are very familiar with the ritual of the transitional phase even if they are not on their own land. Along with the changes of people’s live, the current transitional stage birth rituals also experiences changes from his predecessors. The purposes of this study were to describe: (1) a transitional stage of the ritual process of changing birth of Javanese people in Purwosari I village, (2) the factors that led to the shift or changes in transitional stages of birth ritual in Javanese culture in Purwosari I village. This research used the qualitative approach and techniques of data collection were interviews, observation and documentation. Purposive technique and snowball sampling determined the informants. The research results revealed that: (1) the ritual of birth transitional stage of Javanese culture for most Purwosari I villagers were still implemented as a complete and intact one, but there have been some shifts or changes, (2) The causes of the shifts in the ritual of birth transitional stage came from internal and external factors. The conclusions of this study are: (l) transitional stages of birth ritual of Javanese culture in some communities, especially in Purwosari I village has changed (2) the factors which caused changes to the ritual are classified as internal and external factors. Abstract

Perkembangan dan kemajuan pembangunan yang semakin pesat, penduduknya semakin padat, kawasan perumahan, serta industri yang semakin berkembang menimbulkan kerawanan apabila terjadi kebakaran. Kebakaran merupakan suatu ancaman bagi keselamatan manusia, harta benda maupun lingkungan. Partisipasi masyarakat di Kota Banjarmasin sangat tinggi, kepedulian terhadap sesama dan rasa tolong menolong menjadi hal yang tak asing lagi bagi masyarakat. Posko BPK yang tersebar di Kota Banjarmasin mencapai lebih dari 279 unit BPK. Artikel ini membahas keterlibatan warga negara atau masyarakat mencakup tindakan dimana individu berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan kepedulian pribadi dan publik yang secara individual saling memperkaya dan bermanfaat secara sosial bagi masyarakat. Keterlibatan warga negara menekankan partisipasi dalam pelayanan sukarela kepada masyarakat setempat, lalu alasan dan motivasi masyarakat berpartisipasi dalam BPK di kota Banjarmasin serta eksistensi BPK dan Partisipasi BPK di kota Banjarmasin.

Abstract

This study was a classroom action research. This study aims to improve the students’ learning motivation through the cooperative learning method, especially the numbered heads together model, which is relevant to the situation and condition in year VII A SMP Negeri 1 Haruai.  The learning motivation will impact to learning achievement.  The study consisted of two cycles.  The data were collected through observations, tests, quesioners, and documents.  The data were analyzed by the qualitative descriptive technique.  The result of the study show that during the action implementation, the students’ learning motivation were improved.  Therefore, the application of the model to improve the students’ social science learning motivation.Key words: learning motivation, numbered heads together model.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil observasi  diketahui hasil belajar siswa kelas VIIIA di SMP Negeri 2 Kusan Hilir masih cukup rendah. Selain itu, pemenuhan beban mengajar guru mata pelajaran IPS belum terpenuhi. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, maka dalam penelitian ini  diterapkan strategi pembelajaranteam teaching (collaborative teaching).Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan lama tindakan 2 siklus. Penelitian ini merumuskan masalah: Apakah strategi pembelajaran team teaching dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, apa saja hambatannya, dan bagaimana upaya mengatasi hambatan dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran team teaching (collaborative teaching).Hasil penelitian menunjukkanmotivasi belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan. Pada  siklus I sebesar 72,78%, dan pada siklus II sebesar 80,05%. Hasil belajar siswa juga mengalami peningkatan yang cukup signifikan.Ketuntasan belajar secara individual  mengalami peningkatan dilihat dari rata-rata hasil belajar. Pada siklus I rata-rata hasil belajar yaitu 68,14 dan pada siklus II sebesar 73,1 dengan KKM 65. Sedangkan secara klasikal yang diharapkan adalah 85% siswa tuntas juga berhasil. Hal ini terlihat pada siklus I terdapat peningkatan sebesar 72,22% dan pada siklus II sebesar 86,11%. Dengan demikian terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar siswa sebesar 7,83%.Kendala dalam melaksanakan team teaching antara lain: 1) Team teaching(collaborative teaching)yaitu memerlukan persiapan yang relatif lebih banyak/lebih lama,2) Kadang-kadang terjadi ketidakkompakan, 3) Ada saatnya guru yang satu mendominasi kegiatan pembelajaran. Upaya yang dilakukan antara lain: 1) Guru anggota team teaching secara maksimal meluangkan waktu untuk melakukan koordinasi, 2) Guru anggota team teaching membagi secara fleksibel pembelajaran di kelas, dan 3) penguasaan materi pelajaran wajib dilakukan sehingga siapa menyampaikan apa di rencanakan secara jelas.Beberapa rekomendasi yang perlu dipertimbangkan:1) guru dapat memanfaatkan strategi pembelajaran team teaching sebagai salah satu alternatif pembelajaran sekaligus menghindari kecurangan dalam pembagian beban kerja guru dan 2) dapat digunakan sebagai masukan bagi peneliti lain untuk melakukan penelitian yang serupa atau bahan perbandingan dalam melakukan penelitian tentang penerapan team teaching.Kata Kunci: strategi pembelajaran team teaching, motivasi belajar, hasil belajar.

Abstract

Character education is defined as education that develops cultural values and national character in the self-learners so that they have value and character as the character himself to be a responsible person in life of being a member of society and citizens are religious, nationalist, productive, creative and responsible. By instilling character education learners in learning, especially civics students will be able to develop an effective potential as a citizen who has their cultural values and national character and develop habits and attitudes commendable and in line with universal values, and religioustraditions of Indonesians. This research is conducted in SMP Negeri 1 Banjarbaru for 3 months (from March to May 2016). This study uses a qualitative description, data collection by using observation, documentation and interview (purposive sampling), data analysis with data reduction, data presentation and verification, testing validity of the data was done by triangulation and the examination by colleagues.This study aims to analyze the planning, implementation and assessment of the character of responsibility in teaching civics class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Banjarbaru. Result of the study decribes as follows: (1) Palanning, (2) Implementation and (3) Evaluation of character of responsibility in civics learning   is not optimal.Keywords : Character Education , Responsibility , Civics Lesson Pendidikan karakter didefinisikan sebagai pendidikan yang mengembangkan nilai-nilai budaya dan karakter bangsa dalam diri peserta didik sehingga mereka memiliki nilai dan karakter sebagai karakter dirinya menjadi orang yang bertanggung jawab dalam kehidupan menjadi anggota masyarakat dan warga negara yang religius, nasionalis, produktif , kreatif dan bertanggung jawab. Dengan menanamkan peserta didik pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran, khususnya PKn siswa akan mampu mengembangkan potensi yang efektif sebagai warga negara yang memiliki nilai-nilai budaya dan karakter bangsa dan mengembangkan kebiasaan dan sikap terpuji dan sejalan dengan nilai-nilai universal, dan religioustraditions dari Indonesia. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 1 Banjarbaru selama 3 bulan (dari bulan Maret sampai Mei 2016). Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif, pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi (purposive sampling), analisis data dengan reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi, pengujian validitas data dilakukan dengan triangulasi dan pemeriksaan oleh rekan-rekan.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan penilaian karakter tanggung jawab dalam mengajar PKn kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Banjarbaru. Hasil penelitian decribes sebagai berikut: (1) Palanning, (2) Pelaksanaan dan (3) Evaluasi karakter tanggung jawab dalam pembelajaran PKn tidak optimal.Kata kunci: Pendidikan Karakter, Tanggung Jawab, Pelajaran PKn

Abstract

The use of media in teaching and learning process can help the smoothness, effectiveness, and the efficiency in reaching the learning objective. The use of teaching media in eleventh grade of Social studies based on the syllabus of BSNP for Senior High School in Barabai Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency was not optimal, about 33,84% was not implemented. To reveal the cause was not optimal utilization of instructional media in class XI IPS high schools in the city Barabai Hulu Sungai Tengah. The study was designed with a descriptive design and implemented in senior high schools Barabi Cities Hulu Sungai Tengah. There are 3 schools with four teachers who teach geography class XI IPS is used as a source of research data. The research results, it was found that (1) the availability of the teaching media for Geography in the eleventh grade of Senior High School in Barabai Hulu Sungai Tengah regency was not complete (2) The teaching media for Geography in the eleventh grade of Senior High School in Barabai Hulu Sungai Tengah regency was not used optimaly based on BSNP. (3) The teachers' habit in teaching the eleventh grade student of Senior High School in Barabai Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency was to only use the textbook as the teaching media; and (4) The teachers were not skilled enough in using the teaching media in the eleventh grade of Senior High School in Barabai Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency. There are some suggestions proposed to make the use of teaching media optimally.Key words: Geography teacher, and learning media

Abstract

AbstractThe suitability of character education with subjects is closely related to the learning process. Achievements are always associated with the execution of an activity or activity. Learning achievement is inseparable from learning activities, because learning is a process, while learning achievement is the output of the learning process. The purpose of this research is to know the big picture contribution of character education and student's learning motivation to student achievement on IPS subject in SMP Negeri 1 Amuntai Selatan. Method of analysis descriptive analysis with quantitative approach assisted statistical calculation. The population of this study is all students of SMP Negeri 1 Amuntai Selatan academic year 2017/2018. The sample is 71 students. Instruments using questionnaires were analyzed by multiple regression. The results showed that is a contribution of character education and learning motivation to student achievement on social studies subjects in SMP Negeri 1 Amuntai Selatan jointly contributed.Keywords: Character Education, Motivation, Learning AchievementAbstrakKecocokan pendidikan karakter dengan subjek erat kaitannya dengan proses pembelajaran. Prestasi selalu dikaitkan dengan pelaksanaan suatu aktivitas atau aktivitas. Prestasi belajar tidak dapat dipisahkan dari kegiatan belajar, karena belajar adalah suatu proses, sedangkan prestasi belajar merupakan keluaran dari proses pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kontribusi gambaran besar pendidikan karakter dan motivasi belajar peserta didik terhadap prestasi belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPS di SMP Negeri 1 Amuntai Selatan. Metode analisis deskriptif analisis dengan pendekatan kuantitatif membantu perhitungan statistik. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik SMP Negeri 1 Amuntai Selatan tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Sampelnya adalah 71 peserta didik. Instrumen menggunakan kuesioner dianalisis dengan regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kontribusi pendidikan karakter dan motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPS di SMP Negeri 1 Amuntai Selatan secara bersama-sama turut berkontribusi.Kata Kunci : Pendidikan Karakter, Motivasi Belajar, Prestasi Belajar

Abstract

The purpose of this study is for improving learning process of social studies in order to increase the completeness of student learning result in social studies. This study designed by using qualitative approach and the kind of this study is classroom action research. This research implemented through four phase, namely: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Research subject is class IX H students of MTsN Barabai in first semester year 2014/ 2015. The result of study shown that learning result in first cycle of the average values obtained 68.9 with the number of success achieved 69%. In the second cycle obtained 80.2 with the number of success achieved 93%. This suggests that learning through the application type STAD cooperative learning model can be improved learning result.Key Words: Learning result, Students Teams Achievement Division (STAD)Model.

Abstract

Learning in the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0 requires teachers to be able to use technology, information, and communication. Teachers are required to have knowledge of technology as their teaching skills by applying blended learning models so that students are interested in participating in the learning process. Blended learning model has its own advantages and disadvantages, but this model is very appropriate to be used in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 while supporting the theory of cybernetics learning which is relatively new compared to existing learning theories, in line with developments in technology and information science.Pembelajaran pada Era Revolusi Industri 4.0 mengharuskan guru mampu menggunakan teknologi, informasi, dan komunikasi. Guru dituntut untuk memiliki pengetahuan akan teknologi sebagai keterampilan mengajarnya dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran blended learning sehingga peserta didik tertarik untuk mengikuti proses pembelajaran. Model pembelajaran blended learning memiliki berbagai kelebihan dan kekurangan tersendiri, tetapi model ini sangat tepat digunakan pada era revolusi industri 4.0 sekaligus mendukung teori belajar sibernetik yang relatif baru dibandingkan dengan teori belajar yang telah ada, sejalan dengan perkembangan teknologi dan ilmu informasi.

Abstract

Observations conducted by researchers at SMAN 1 Kusan Hilir showed (1) the lack of understanding of students of the teaching materials, (2) the students' responses to the explanation or information submitted by teachers during learning activities are very low, (3) students do not have motivation and excitement during the learning activities Sociology in the classroom, (4) low value results were obtained by the students, and (5 ) the students were not able to develop critical thinking skills in terms of understanding the problems and solving problems in the learning process. The purpose of this study was to study the process and results of the application of the inquiry model of learning Sociology whether it can increase the activity of learning, thinking and learning outcomes of students of class XI IPS-1 SMAN 1 Kusan Hilir. This study used a descriptive qualitative research with the implementation of social inquiry model  on the subject. This study was conducted for 3 months from May to July 2015. The subjects were 40 students of class XI IPS-1 SMAN 1 Kusan Hilir, consisting of 18 male students and 22 female students. The results showed that the implementation of the social inquiry model to study Sociology, increased from 71,92% to 87.15%, with an average of completeness KKM reaching 78.0% to 100%, This assessment became successful if 85% of students completed with the class average of 74.Key words: Inquiry Model, Sociology, Learning Outcomes
