Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study is (i) to describe whether social skills, study habits, socio-economic condition of parents, and learning achievement partially affect the interests to continue studying at Colleges; (ii) to describe the above indicators which simultaneously affect the interest in continuing education at colleges; (iii) to describe the most dominant indicator of the four indicators which influences the interests in continuing education at colleges. The results of this study showed that the partial (one by one) research variables consisting of social skills, study habits, socioeconomic conditions, and learning achievements gave effects on the interest in continuing education at Colleges of the students at Excellent SMK Husada and  SMK YPT.Keywords: Social skills, habits and learning achievement. AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini yang pertama yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan apakah keterampilan sosial, kebiasaan belajar, kondisi sosial ekonomi orang tua, dan prestasi belajar secara parsial berpengaruh terhadap minat untuk melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi. Kedua, untuk mendeskripsikan bahwa indikator yang telah disebutkan di atas secara simultan berpengaruh terhadap minat untuk melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi. Ketiga, untuk mendeskripsikan dari keempat indikator-indikator tersebut, mana yang paling dominan memberikan pengaruh pada minat untuk melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi. Hasil penelitian ini telah menunjukan bahwa secara parsial (satu persatu) variabel penelitian yang terdiri dari keterampilan sosial, kebiasaan belajar, kondisi social ekonomi, dan prestasi belajar memberikan pengaruh terhadap minat untuk melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi pada siswa di SMK Unggulan Husada dan SMK YPT.Kata Kunci: Keterampilan sosial, kebiasaan dan prestasi belajar.

Abstract

Activities and student learning outcomes is low. This study aimed to describe the activity and student learning outcomes VIIIB class SMP Negeri 2 Mandastana on the subject of Pancasila as the State Ideology and can be enhanced through learning strategies Simulation method. This research method is qualitative analysis methods, emphasis on deepening the subject matter of the activities and results of student learning in Civics. So it can be identified and analyzed the problems that arise and then held reflection to look for alternative. Study began in June 2011 to October 2011, the number of samples of 26 people from VIIIB grade students. The results showed that: (1) learning activities Civics class students VIIIB SMP Negeri 2 Mandastana during use learning strategies Simulations increases, (2) the results of learning civics class students VIIIB Junior High School 2 Mandastana during use learning strategies Simulations increases, (3) the students' responses VIIIB class SMP Negeri 2 Mandastana to use learning strategies Simulations. Implementation showed that students enjoy learning civics by implementing learning strategies should suggest Simulasi.Peneliti Civics teachers use learning strategies Simulations for appropriate materials, and are expected to use more cooperative learning strategies more attractive so that students actively in learning civics.Keywords: Learning outcomes, learning strategy game simulation, and civics education Aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIIIB SMP Negeri 2 Mandastana pada pokok bahasan Pancasila Sebagai Ideologi dan Dasar Negara dapat ditingkatkan melalui strategi pembelajaran metode Simulasi.Metode penelitian ini adalah metode analisis kualitatif, menekankan pada pendalaman pokok permasalahan tentang aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran PKn. Sehingga bisa diketahui dan dianalisa permasalahan yang muncul dan kemudian diadakan refleksi untuk mencari alternatif pemecahannya.Proses penelitian dimulai pada bulan Juni 2011 sampai Oktober 2011, jumlah sampel 26 orang dari siswa kelas VIIIB. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) aktivitas belajar PKn siswa kelas VIIIB SMP Negeri 2 Mandastana selama menggunakan strategi pembelajaran Simulasi meningkat,(2) hasil belajar PKn siswa kelas VIIIB SMP negeri 2 Mandastana selama menggunakan strategi pembelajaran Simulasi meningkat,(3) respon siswa kelas VIIIB SMP Negeri 2 Mandastana terhadap penggunaan strategi pembelajaran Simulasi. Pelaksanaan menunjukkan bahwa siswa senang belajar PKn dengan menerapkan strategi pembelajaran Simulasi.Peneliti menyarankan hendaknya guru mata pelajaran PKn menggunakan strategi pembelajaran Simulasi untuk materi-materi yang sesuai, serta diharapkan dapat menggunakan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif lainnya yang lebih menarik agar siswa aktif dalam pembelajaran PKn.Kata Kunci:hasil belajar, Strategi Pembelajaran Game Simulasi dan PKn

Abstract

The focus of this study is the  Haruai junior high school students’ characters quality and their learning achievements.  The students do not show much respect to teachers and others; they are not neat, and they like cheating during exams, etc. Also, they have not good enough in understanding ability. This study aims to describe the students’ characters quality and their learning achievements, and also to find how the characters quality correlate to learning achievements. This study is a survey research using a quantitative method. The research population comprises 316 students of the Haruai junior high school.  The research sample consists of 177 students selected with the multi stage sampling technique.  The data are collected using a Likert’s scale for the students’ characters quality, and a documentation of their learning achievements reports.  The data are analyzed using a correlational technique.The results of the study show that: (1) the Haruai junior high school students’ characters quality is weak.  (2) the Haruai junior high school students’ learning achievements is bad. (3) there is a significant correlation of the Haruai junior high school students’character quality and their learning achievement.  It is expected that the social studies teachers and other teachers in general build better learning process and implement character education.Key words: Character education, Character quality, and learning achievement

Abstract

AbstractLingkaran Harapan Banua Foundation at Banjarmasin is a foundation engaged in social and accomodating drug users based on referrals from health centers and BNN. This study aims to: (1) Planning in handling client, that is by bringing doctor. (2) Implementation of drug treatment includes counseling guidance, initial help for each client is given spiritual guidance. The next step if the client sakaw then the provision of a neutralizing drug such as coconut water that has been dissolved salt with a certain dose according to the level of client addiction. (3) The results achieved in dealing with clients is this foundation can not monitor clients one by one because of constrained distance, lack of funds and counselors. The healing process is said to be successful if the client can control himself when it is out of the foundation and join the environment.Key Word:  pattern formation and healing, drug users, counselor. AbstrakYayasan Lingkaran Harapan Banua di Banjarmasin Ini adalah yayasan yang bergerak di bidang sosial dan menampung pengguna narkoba berdasarkan rujukan dari puskesmas dan BNN. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Perencanaan dalam menangani klien, yaitu dengan membawa dokter. (2) Implementasi perawatan obat termasuk bimbingan konseling, bantuan awal untuk setiap klien diberikan bimbingan spiritual. Langkah selanjutnya jika klien sakaw maka pemberian obat penetralisir seperti air kelapa yang sudah dilarutkan garam dengan dosis tertentu sesuai dengan tingkat kecanduan klien. (3) Hasil yang dicapai dalam berurusan dengan klien adalah yayasan ini tidak dapat memonitor klien satu per satu karena keterbatasan jarak, kurangnya dana dan konselor. Proses penyembuhan dikatakan berhasil jika klien dapat mengendalikan dirinya sendiri ketika berada di luar fondasi dan bergabung dengan lingkungan.Kata Kunci: pembentukan dan penyembuhan pola, pengguna narkoba, konselor

Abstract

The preliminary observation on the students learning activities and learning outcomes in Geography subject in Grade XI Social Study 1 SMAN 1 Kandangan shows that the learning outomes are still low, so that teacher innovation is needed in using learning models to improve their students learning activities and their learning outcomes in Geography with environment as the topic by implementing problem- based learning model. This is a classroom action research consisting of two cycles. It is conducted at SMAN 1 Kandangan. The subjects are 29 students of grade XI Social Study 1 (XI IPS 1) SMAN 1 Kandangan in the Academic Year 2013/2014. The result of the research shows that the students’ learning activities in grade XI Social Study 1 of SMAN 1 Kandangan have improved in the first cycle. The students learning activities are at active category 29.1 %  and very active 6.1%. In  the second cycle, the students’ learning activities are at active category 50.6 %  and very active 48.7 %. The learning outcomes in the first cycle show that post-test average score reaches 75.86% and classical completeness 75.86%. In the second cycle, the post-test average score reaches 80.3% and the classical completeness 100%. Positive responses are shown by the students in using problem-based learning.Keywords: learning activities, problem-based learning model, learning outcomes of geography

Abstract

Mahasiswa pendidikan keguruan merupakan generasi utama untuk keberlanjutan profesi guru. Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi mahasiswa Pendidikan Geografi terdapat permasalahan diantaranya; mahasiswa Pendidikan Geografi sebagai calon guru juga kurang siap mental saat melaksanakan Program Praktik Lapangan (PPL). Masalah tersebut menyebabkan mahasiswa Pendidikan Geografi kurang mengembangkan potensi diri dalam keterampilan mengajarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan yang ditimbulkan dari tiga variabel yang terdiri dari dua variabel bebas dan satu variabel terikat. Variabel bebas yaitu Minat Menjadi Guru (X1), Lingkungan Keluarga (X2) dan satu variabel terikat yaitu Prestasi Belajar (Y). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, terdapat korelasi positif antara minat menjadi guru dengan prestasi belajar dibandingkan antara lingkungan keluarga dengan prestasi belajar. Secara keseluruhan hasil yang didapatkan menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang positif antara minat menjadi guru, lingkungan keluarga secara bersamaan dengan prestasi belajar mahasiswa Pendidikan Geografi.

Abstract

For children who have difficulty continuing school because of economic necessity, through the open junior high they can acquire the necessary educational services. , SMP Terbuka aims to provide learning opportunities more widely to children graduate SD / MI or equal who can not attend secondary school education Regular due to many barriers it faces. The existence of open SMP is perceived necessary and help students who are in a weak economic conditions or dropping out of school in a letter of graduation or diploma, so that children can also compete to further levels of schooling. This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of social studies learning, student activities and the management of the Junior Open 02 North Banjarmasin Academic Year 2014/2015. This research approach is qualitative survey approach, and retrieval of data using observation sheets, interview and documentation. Based on the results of the study found that the teachers teaching social studies in the , SMP Terbuka 02 North Banjarmasin Academic Year 2014/2015 is already quite good, although there are some items that have not reached the maximum, and to aktiviats students have also been good, while for the management of the teaching provided is sufficient adequate.Keywords: curriculum development, teacher IPS, SMP Terbuka

Abstract

AbstractBased on the observation of the low learning outcomes of social studies students of class VIII E of SMP Negeri 1 Kusan Hilir Tanah Bumbu. In the material "Environment in sustainable development." Allegedly because teachers use conventional learning. As an alternative to overcome this problem is the use of social studies learning through natural environment learning resources. This material is very suitable to be carried out. Utilization of the physical environment (natural). This research was carried out using a classroom action research design, carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of and stages: (1) Planning, (2) Implementation of actions, (3) Observation and evaluation, (4) Analysis and reflection. The results showed that the students' learning outcomes through the classroom learning resources averaged 39.00 from the average initial value before action 41.64 to 80.64 in the first cycle to 90.96 and 10.32% in the second cycle. As for the results of the responses of Class VIII E students of Kusan Hilir 1 Junior High School towards the implementation of social studies learning through environmental learning resources 90%.Keywords: Learning outcomes, environment, and social studies resources AbstrakDari hasil pengamatan rendahnya hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas VIII E SMP Negeri 1 Kusan Hilir Tanah Bumbu. Pada materi “Lingkungan hidup dalam pembangunan berkelanjutan.” diduga karena guru menggunakan pembelajaran bersifat konvensional. Sebagai salah satu alternatif untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini adalah penggunaan pembelajaran IPS melalui sumber belajar lingkungan alam Materi ini sangat cocok dilaksanakan Pemanfaatan lingkungan fisik (alam). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan rancangan penelitian tindakan kelas, di laksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus masing-masing terdiri dan tahapan-tahapan : (1) Perencanaan, (2) Pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) Observasi dan evaluasi, (4) Analisis dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa melalui sumber belajar lingkungan rata-rata kelas naik 39,00 dari nilai awal rata-rata sebelum tindakan 41,64 menjadi 80,64 pada siklus I menjadi 90,96 dan 10,32 % pada siklus II. Adapun hasil respon siswa Kelas VIII E SMPN 1 Kusan Hilir terhadap implementasi pembelajaaran IPS melalui sumber belajar lingkungan 90%.Kata Kunci : Hasil belajar, lingkungan, dan sumber IPS

Abstract

Learning Civics in MAN 5 Marabahan in general is still delivered with a lecture and question and answer, the learning process is centered on the teacher, so students tend to be passive. This issue is one of the factors that lead to students' motivation lace where the results of semester 1 of the school year 2010/2011 only reached completeness learn KKBM 50% below the value of 25 pupils (KKBM value = 70). The purpose of this study to determine the application of cooperative learning strategies to increase motivation Jigsaw types of subjects studied Civics students in class XI IPS MAN 5 Marabahan in 2011.This class action research using observational methods discussion group that performed a total of 2 cycles and each cycle consisting of 1 session. Data results that are categorized as qualitative data were analyzed by descriptive, while the data results that are categorized as quantitative data were analyzed pesentase. The results showed that the student has achieved completeness that is classical in the final test on a cycle of meetings a classical completeness of 64% and the second meeting of cycle 2 by 88% or an increase of 24%.Keywords: Motivation, the type of Jigsaw Cooperative Learning Strategies, study results Pembelajaran PKn di MAN 5 Marabahan pada umumnya masih disampaikan dengan ceramah dan tanya jawab, proses pembelajaran berpusat pada guru, sehingga siswa cenderung pasif. Masalah ini merupakan salah satu faktor yang menyebabkan siswa renda motivasi mana hasil dari semester 1 tahun ajaran 2010/2011 hanya mencapai kelengkapan belajar KKBM 50% di bawah nilai 25 siswa (nilai KKBM = 70). Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui penerapan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif untuk meningkatkan motivasi jenis Jigsaw mata pelajaran yang dipelajari PKn siswa di kelas XI IPS MAN 5 Marabahan pada tahun 2011. Penelitian menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan metode observasi kelompok diskusi yang dilakukan sebanyak 2 siklus dan setiap siklus terdiri dari 1 sesi. Hasil data yang dikategorikan sebagai data kualitatif dianalisis dengan deskriptif, sedangkan data hasil yang dikategorikan sebagai data kuantitatif dianalisis pesentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa telah mencapai ketuntasan yang klasik dalam tes akhir pada siklus pertemuan kelengkapan klasik 64% dan pertemuan kedua siklus 2 sebesar 88% atau meningkat 24%.Kata kunci: Motivasi belajar, jenis Jigsaw Koperasi Strategi Pembelajaran, hasil penelitian

Abstract

This classroom action research is done based on the condition in the social science subject, specifically at class eight D of State Junior Islamic School 1 of  South Banjarmasin. It showed that the students’ had low achievement and did not reach the minimum completeness of study determined by the school, namely 75. This study is used action research method to increase the students’ achievement. It is expected that students no longer feel bored in learning social science subject and more active in discussion; therefore, the teacher is not the only source for learning. In this classroom action research, the researcher used two cycles. The first cycle consisted of two meetings and second cycle done in only one meeting. The data collection used were observation sheet for both teacher and students, written test, and questionnaire for students only. Based on the findings and discussion, it can be concluded that: (1) the students’ activities  by using Jigsaw model have increased; (2) the students learning outcomes have also increased and they were above the completeness of classical learning, namely 94,8%; (3) the students’ respond toward the use of Jigsaw  showed that the students were interested in learning by Jigsaw model.  In conclusion, it is expected  that the teachers apply Jigsaw as one of alternatives in teaching social science subject, for the students find this model attractive as well as interesting one; therefore, they do not feel bored and can increase their learning outcomes.Keywords: Activity, Learning Outcome, Social Science Subject, Jigsaw Model
