Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe audiovisual media in learning IPS on Grade VIIA Students MTs.Mathla'ul Anwar Rantau Binggir Hilir Kecamatan Sungai Tabukan Kab.HSU. This research is a Classroom Action Research with Suharsimi Arikanto model. Subject researched is a class VIIA students who numbered 30 students. The object of this research is the skill of discussion through audiovisual media on IPS learning. Data collection techniques were conducted using observation sheets, interviews, test questions, and field notes. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitative. The results show that the skills of discussion through audiovisual media on IPS learning can improve learning outcomes. the results of the evaluation test in cycle I shows there are still 10 students or 34% of students have not finished on learning IPS while learning completeness in cycle I there are 20 students or 67%, so the success indicator has not been achieved because of the completeness of classical learning must be achieved at least is 70%. The results of the evaluation test in cycle II indicate that the average test result has increased compared to cycle I. The average score reached 79.3 and the number of students who complete the study also experienced an increase from 20 to 25 from 30 students or about 83% . The criteria of the success rate of students in cycle II is in the high category. The data shows that the learning outcomes in cycle II has reached the indicator that is determined that the minimum completeness of 70% of students have met the purposed so that the process of learning skill discussing through the audiovisual media is successful.Keywords: Discussions, Audiovisual Media, IPS Learning AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendskipsikan proses pembelajaran IPS menggunakan meningkatkan keteramplan berdiskusi melaui media audiovisual dalam pembelajaran IPS pada Siswa Kelas VIIA MTs.Mathla’ul Anwar Rantau Bujur Hilir Kecamatan Sungai Tabukan Kab.HSU. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan model Suharsimi Arikanto. Subjek penelitaiannya adalah siswa kelas VIIA yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Objek penelitiana ini adalah keterampilan berdiskusi melalui media audiovisual pada pembelajaran IPS. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan lembar observasi, wawancara, soaltes, dan catatan lapangan.Data dianalisis secara diskriptif kualitatif.Hasil menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berdiskusi melalui media audiovisual pada pembelajaran IPS dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar.Hasil tesevaluasipada siklus I menunjukkan masih ada 10 siswa atau 34% siswa belum tuntas pada pembelajaran IPS sedangkan ketuntasan belajar pada siklus I ada 20 siswa atau 67%, sehingga indikator keberhasilannya belum tercapai karena ketuntasan belajar klasikal yang harus dicapai minimal adalah 70%.Hasil tes evaluasi pada siklus II menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil tes mengalami peningkatan dibandingkan dengan siklus I. Nilai rata-rata mencapai 79,3 dan jumlah siswa yang tuntas belajar juga mengalami peningkatan yaitu dari 20 meningkat menjadi 25 dari 30 siswa atau sekitar 83%. Kriteria tingkat keberhasilan siswapada siklus II masuk kategori tinggi. Data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar pada siklus II telah mencapai indikator yang ditentukanyaitu ketuntasan minimal sebesar 70% siswa telah memenuhi KKM sehingga proses  pembelajaran keterampilan berdiskusimelalui media audiovisual tersebut berhasil.Kata Kunci : Keteramplan Berdiskusi, Media Audiovisual, Pembelajaran IPS

Abstract

This study aimed to describe (1) the learning process with the use of the environment in social studies learning, (2) the performance of teachers in the use of the environment as a source of learning in social studies learning, and (3) barriers and difficulties of teachers in the use of the environment as a source of teaching and learning IPS SDN 1 Pasar Baru Pagatan Tanah Bumbu. The approach in this research is using qualitative descriptive method. The data obtained in this study is derived from information provided by a social studies teacher at the data in the form of primary and secondary data. The technique of collecting data through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that (1) the learning done outside the classroom by making field trips to several places around the school in accordance with the substance of the material to be taught, (2) teachers in the utilization of the environment as the source is through the use of various strategies and methods of learning, such as assignments, field trips, question and answer, and discussion groups so as to create an atmosphere of learning more meaningful, (3) the constraints and difficulties of teachers in the use environment as a learning resource in teaching social studies at SDN 1 New Market Pagatan Tanah Bumbu include limited time, required effort and significant costs while doing filed trip, as well as the lack of support the community around the school.Keywords: Use of Environmental, Social Learning

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendiskripsikan (1) bentuk peran serta masyarakat dalam membangun wisata kampung bunga ialah bentuk peran serta terjadinya di kawasan kampung bunga, yaitu berupa: peran serta berupa sumbang pemikiran, peran serta berupa barang/alat, partisispasi dalam bentuk tenaga dan peran serta melalui dana. (2) Pengorganisasian masyarakat sebagai pelaksana dan tenaga dalam membangun kampung wisata ialah pembentukan organisasi nonformal lebih diwujudkan karena dengan mewujudkan organisasi tersebut rasa tanggung jawab dan keinginan untuk memliki kebersamaan lebih tercipta dibandingkan dengan organisiasi formal yang dibebankan tanggung jawab pada orang yang bersangkutan saja. (3) Pemanfaatan solidaritas sosial dalam membangun wisata kampung bunga untuk dijadikan sebagai sumber belajar IPS ialah Mulai dari pembelajaran tentang kegiatan peran di masyarakat, sifat dan bentuk solidaritas sosial dan peran serta sosal di masyarakat, fungsi dan pengorganisasian dalam mengelola keragaman sosial budaya, hingga tentang kerjasama di masyarakat.

Abstract

River management using the eco-hydraulic approach is aimed at preserving the ecological components in the river environment through hydraulic engineering. This study aims to identify the existing conditions on Kuin River border, analyze the relationship and influence of community activities on the banks of Kuin River on the water quality of Kuin River, and study the river development pattern with the concept of eco-hydraulic on Kuin River. Data were collected based on the results of field surveys and laboratory tests for water and soil. The results showed that the current condition of the riverbank of Kuin River has not fulfilled its function as a buffer space between the river and the mainland, due to the large number of community settlements rather than vegetation that functions to protect the river. Kuin River is polluted because several ecological indicators such as pH, Fe, BOD, and COD have exceeded the maximum allowable limits. This occurs due to social activities and development along the river, which have an impact on biotic and abiotic aspects of the river. The type of soil on the banks of the Kuin River is silt mixed with clay with moderate to high plasticity. Based on this condition, there is an assumption that the cliffs on the banks of Kuin River have the potential for landslides. Therefore, a pattern for developing cliff protection using riverbank vegetation components is recommended

Abstract

Moslem recitals (pengajian) as an Islamic educational institution has a very long presence which until now are still survive despite the emerging modern educational institution. Its existance is inseparable from its significant role to modify it self, keep developing and to maintain its principle values. To uncover the survival of the institution, the writer has conducted a study that aims at discribing the roles that have been done by Ar-Rahmah Sekumpul Martapura Recitals. Through a qualitative study method conducted in Ar-Rahmah Sekumpul Martapura-South Kalimantan, it is identified that Ar-Rahmah has not only played the educative role for the women of Banjar, but also maintained the Islamic tradition as well as the role of the ecomomy through cooperation and capital accumulation.Keyword: Moslem recitals, roles, womenPengajian sebagai institusi pendidikan Islam kehadirannya sudah sangat lama hingga sekarang masih bertahan meskipun telah bermunculan lembaga-lembaga pendidikan modern. Kemampuan bertahan tersebut tidak terlepas dari peranan yang telah dijalankannya. Pengajian juga mampu memodifikasi diri dengan mengembangkan peran-peran yang dimilikinya dan mampu bertahan dengan nilai-nilainya. Mengungkapkan kemampuan bertahan lembaga pengajian tersebut maka dilakukan penelitian ini dengan tujuan untuk mendiskripsikan peranan yang telah dilakukan Pengajian Ar-Rahmah Sekumpul Martapura. Melalui metode penelitian kualitatif yang dilakukan di institusi Pengajian Ar-Rahmah Sekumpul, Martapura, Kalimantan Selatan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Pengajian Ar-Rahmah tidak saja memainkan peran edukatif bagi perempuan Banjar dengan mengajarkan pengetahuan dan sikap tetapi juga menjalankan peran sosial budaya melalui pewarisan dan pemeliharaan tradisi keIslaman serta peranan ekonomi melalui kerjasama dan akumulasi modal.Kata Kunci: pengajian, peran, dan perempuan

Abstract

This study used quantitative approach with its design of correlational descriptive study.  The research were taken place at all SMANs in Banjarmasin.  The schools with  13 2387 eleventh grade students as the population while  the samples were 5 schools and 96 eleventh grade students.  Based on the finding of the study, it was yielded that (1)Partially, the pedagogical competency variable influenced the learning outcome of the students with counted t  1,982  higher  than  table  t as 1,654 where the significant level is α =0,05.  (2) partially, the professional competency variable influenced the learning outcome of the students with counted t as 2,685 higher that table t as 1,654 where the significant level is α = 0,05.  The test result showed that the pedagogical competency of history teacher was very dominant in the learning outcome of the students at SMANs in Banjarmasin with unstandardized  coefficient 0,290 higher than the professional competency 0,152. (3) The test result of both variables, pedagogical  and professional  competencies  influenced the learning outcome of the students with counted   F   as 6,657, while the table   F   is 2,78.  Based on the study, the researcher  recommends :  (1) there is significant influence between the pedagogical competency and professional competency toward the learning outcome of history subject at SMANs in Banjarmasin, therefore, related institutions need to evaluate and increase teacher competency. (2) teachers are recommended to work professionally develoving and increasing their competency to support  the learning outcome of the students (3) other researchers  can conduct the same research with different objects and competencies.Kata Kuci : Pengaruh, Persepsi Siswa, Pedagogik, Profesional, Prestasi Belajar, Sejarah

Abstract

The exploitation of the environment as a learning resource can provide a positive impact for the success of students in the learning process. The use of the environment as a learning resource can be carried out by activitie, such as bringing learners to the learning resource environment so that the students not only get the sources from books. In the district of Kusan Hulu itself, there are a wide variety of learning resources that can be exploredand used for teaching and learning. The location used as a source of learning is also not so far from the area of SMP Negeri 1 Kusan Hulu. The implementation of the environment as a learning resource can utilize IPS instructions which can give a positive impact for the success of students in the learning process.The result is expected to be the input and one of the  considerations for teachers to improve teaching skills in using the environment as a learning resource.Keywords: Environment, learning resources, IPS.Pemanfaatkan lingkungan sebagai sumber belajar dapat memberikan dampak yang positif bagi keberhasilan peserta didik dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran. Dalam pemanfaatan lingkungan sebagai sumber belajar dapat ditempuh dengan cara melakukan kegiatan dengan membawa peserta didik ke lingkungan sumber belajar  jadipeserta didik tidak hanya mengkaji dari buku sumber semata. Di wilayah kecamatan Kusan Hulu sendiri terdapat berbagai macam sumber belajar yang dapat digali dan dimanfaatkan untuk kegiatan belajar mengajar. Lokasi yang dijadikan sumber belajar juga tidak begitu jauh dari lingkungan SMP Negeri 1 Kusan Hulu. Implementasi dari pemanfaatan lingkungan sebagai sumber pembelajaran IPS dapat memberikan dampak yang positif bagi keberhasilan peserta didik dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi masukan dan sebagai salah satu bahan pertimbangan bagi guru untuk meningkatkan kemampuanmengajar dalam memanfaatkan lingkungan sebagai sumber belajar.Kata Kunci: Lingkungan, sumber belajar, IPS.

Abstract

The study background is based on the social study subject condition in State Junior School 14 of third class students “A” Banjarmasin showing that the students’ achievment is low and does not reach the minimal completeness of study determined by school, namely 78. This study used action research method. Indeed, the research also used two cycles and every cycles contains two meetings. The data collection here uses observation whether for teacher’ activity or students’ activity, written test, and questionaire for students. The result is concluded that (1) the students’ achievment undergo progress of minimal completeness of study, namely 90,80; (2) students’ activity using STAD undergo progres; and (3) the students’ respond toward the use of STAD show that the students are interested in implimenting STAD. In a word, the teachers are hoped to use STAD as the alternative to increase the students’ achievment so that the students are interested in learning.Keywords: Activity, Achievment, Social Study Subject, and STAD Model

Abstract

AbstractThis research discussed moral values of haul K.H. Muhammad Zaini bin Abdul Ghani (Guru Sekumpul). The purpose of this research is to describe the preparation the event of haul Guru Sekumpul and the values which is  included of haul Guru Sekumpul and whether these values can be used as a learning resource of social studies. This study is a qualitative research with a historical approach. The results of the research showed that the preparation of haul Guru Sekumpul includes security, health, transportation, accommodation, facilities and infrastructures. The Implementation of haul Guru Sekumpul carried out within three days that take places  at the house of Guru Sekumpul, at the dome of the Guru Sekumpul and Mushalla AR-Raudhah. The values  from the event of haul Guru Sekumpul  are consist of  (1) religious values (faithfulness, tolerance, love of the environment), (2) nationalist values (love of the homeland and respect for diversity), (3) values of integrity (honesty, politeness, love for truth), (4) independent values (hard work, creative, disciplined, courageous), and (5) the value of mutual cooperation (cooperation and mutual assistance). Penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana persiapan dan pelaksanaan haul Guru Sekumpul, serta nilai-nilai yang terkandung di dalam haul Guru Sekumpul dan apakah nilai-nilai tersebut dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber belajar IPS. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan historis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persiapan haul Guru Sekumpul mencakup bidang pengamanan, kesehatan, perhubungan, akomodasi, dan sarana prasana. Pelaksanaan haul Guru Sekumpul dilaksanakan dalam waktu tiga hari yakni di rumah kediaman almarhum Guru Sekumpul, di Kubah Guru Sekumpul dan di Mushalla Ar-Raudhah. Nilai-nilai yang terdapat di dalam haul Guru Sekumpul yakni (1) nilai religus (beriman-bertakwa, toleransi, cinta lingkungan), (2) nilai nasionalis (cinta tanah air dan menghargai kebhinnekaan), (3) nilai integritas (kejujuran, kesantunan, cinta pada kebenaran), (4) nilai mandiri (kerja keras, kreatif, disiplin, berani), serta (5) nilai gotong royong (kerjasama dan saling menolong).Kata Kunci: Guru Sekumpul, haul, IPS, nilai-nilai

Abstract

This research aims (1) to indentify the level of teaching skill and working performance of Social Science (IPS) teachers at the Public Junior High Schools in the Regency of Hulu Sungai Utara, (2) to indentify the level of working motivation and working performance of IPS teachers at the Public Junior High Schools in the Regency of Hulu Sungai Utara, he method used in this research was descriptive quantitative method. The sample of this research was taken by using random sampling. The result of the research shows that (1) based on the respondents’ answers about teaching skill, approximately 64.45% of the respondents strongly agreed, while 31.10% of respondents agreed, 3.46% of respondents disagreed and 0.99% of respondents strongly disagreed. (2) based on the respondents’ answers about motivation, approximately 53.59% of respondents strongly agreed, while 41.62% of respondents agreed, 3.03% of respondents disagreed and 1.77% of respondents strongly disagreed. (3) based on the respondents’ answers about working performance, approximately 68.04% of respondents strongly agreed, while 26.83% of respondents agreed, 3.64% of respondents disagreed and 1.48% of respondents strongly disagreed. Teaching skill had a strong correlation with working performance of IPS teachers which can be identified from the value of ry1 = 0.832 in the interval of 0.80 – 1.000 with very strong criteria. Working motivation had a strong correlation with working performance of IPS teachers which can be seen from the value of ry2 = 0.768 in the interval of 0.60 – 0.779 with strong criteria. There was a positive and significant correlation between teaching skill and motivation together with the working performance of IPS teachers. The result of double correlation testing shows that the correlation value (R) was 0.850 with p = 0.000. Those three factors are related to each other in supporting working performance.
