Abstract

Beef is a source of animal protein which is very important in the human diet. The quality of beef determines the nutritional value and taste of the processed meat product. However, the quality of beef can decrease over time, especially if it is not stored properly. Therefore, identifying the condition of beef is crucial to ensure that consumers get safe and quality products. The use of the HSV (Hue, Saturation, Value) color space for beef classification is an interesting method to research. The HSV color space is closer to human perception of color compared to the RGB color space, making it more effective for image analysis in the context of visual quality assessment of meat. In this study, researchers used HSV space extraction to classify fresh beef and bad beef. This research aims to develop a method for classifying fresh, medium and rotten beef using the HSV color space. This research produces accurate extraction results with appropriate classification of fresh and bad beef.

Abstract

This study focuses on developing an Android-based recommender system using convolutional neural networks (CNNs) to select high-quality grapes. The main objective of this study is to compare the performance of two popular CNN architectures, VGG16 and ResNet18, in classifying the quality of sour grapes. The subjective and time-consuming nature of conventional methods prompted us to search for a more efficient solution.The dataset used consists of 282 images of green grapes. The evaluation results show that the VGG16 model achieves 93% accuracy in classifying grape quality, outperforming the ResNet18 model with only 82% accuracy. These results indicate that the VGG16 architecture is more suitable for this classification task. The development of this system is expected to contribute to smart agricultural automation to improve efficiency and support the food industry.

Abstract

Giki High School has a large number of 10th grade students and the need to provide class recommendations based on student interests in current subjects is done conventionally. This study aims to help schools make more informed decisions in class selection. This study implements a web application. The implementation of the category selection web application was created using the K-means Clustering algorithm and integrated into the web using Tkinter as the standard GUI library for Python. This implementation goal is to make school life easier to determine class recommendations for students. Results of the K-Means algorithm produce 4 clusters: Cluster 1 (Indonesian, Social Studies, and Mathematics), Cluster 2 (English), Cluster 3 (Indonesian and Science), Cluster 4 (English and Science) with the Silhouette Score results giving a score of 0.6233 which indicates that the score calculation is at 0 that the data point is the center of each cluster.

Abstract

Public services are one of the obligations that local governments must fulfill to meet the rights of their citizens. In its implementation, local governments leverage technological advancements to save costs and conserve resources, one of which is by creating an online Application for Development and Application Development Information System (SI-MOHONBANGET). This integrated national digital service can enhance the quality of government administrative services and public services that are more systematic, straightforward, and integrated. Currently, the development of information and communication technology in regional apparatus at the Communication and Information Office, particularly in the field of Applications and Informatics, is still conducted manually, requiring individuals to visit the office directly. This process is time-consuming and prone to errors, as well as data corruption, while also minimizing the occurrence of data redundancy. Therefore, it is essential to develop an application for regional apparatus to facilitate online applications for the construction and development of applications with substantial storage capacity, allowing for periodic data checks. The method used in this research is web engineering. The result of this study is the availability of an application that can be utilized to submit requests for the development and establishment of web-based applications within the Government of Musi Banyuasin Regency.

Abstract

In the digital age, a deep understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) is crucial for enhancing user satisfaction. This research explores the application of User Centered Design (UCD) in designing the "Jalan Cantik" website. By understanding the preferences, needs, and abilities of users from various age groups, the aim is to create a website that is more engaging, user-friendly, and effective in facilitating public participation in road infrastructure maintenance. The study also assesses the usability of the "Jalan Cantik" website using the System Usability Scale (SUS) with 50 respondents of different ages. The results show an average SUS score of 80.25, which falls into the "Excellent" category based on the SUS adjective rating scale. This score reflects a high level of user satisfaction, particularly in ease of navigation, information clarity, response speed, and design consistency.

Abstract

The security system on the network was created virtually via OpenvSwitch using the NIDS and HIDS methods designed using SNORT. The results of the Ping of Death attack cause the CPU performance to be very high, so that the computer works optimally due to the large number of packets going to the Server computer.

Abstract

The study aims to develop a web-based family tree application using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method for the Extended Family of Mbah Mansyur. RAD was chosen for its ability to accelerate the development process through rapid iterations and active user involvement. The application development was carried out in several cycles, incorporating user feedback to refine features and the interface. Testing results showed that the application effectively facilitates users in adding, editing, and viewing family data in real-time with responsive search functionality. The advantages of the RAD method were evident in the shorter development time and the application's adaptability to user needs. This application is expected to digitally preserve family history for future generations.

Abstract

Sign language is the primary means of communication for deaf individuals, one of the alternative languages used by people with disabilities, and it has evolved from the deaf community. Sign language has many variations, making it something unfamiliar and difficult to interpret for some hearing or uninitiated people. This research aims to develop a real-time sign language motion and facial expression detection system using the Random Forest method. The main challenge in this detection is the complexity and variation of the movements and facial expressions. In this study, MediaPipe is used to extract features from video input, which are then analyzed using the Random Forest algorithm for classification. In this research, the model's evaluation results use a confusion matrix with testing scenarios based on the division of training and testing data. From the model evaluation results, an accuracy of 99% was achieved. This research is expected to help deaf individuals communicate with hearing people, thereby reducing social gaps.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has significantly impacted productivity, enabling tasks to be completed more efficiently. In government and public service institutions, utilizing information technology is essential, as it has proven to enhance the quality of services, making them more responsive, effective, efficient, and accountable. According to Law Number 25, Article 1, Paragraph 1 of 2009, public service is defined as activities or a series of activities aimed at fulfilling service needs based on regulations, for every citizen and resident, concerning goods, services, and/or administrative assistance provided by public service providers. Implementing electronic services accelerates the development of e-Government. Public services at the village administration level play a crucial role in delivering quality service to the community. Unfortunately, public services at the 35 Ilir Village have received numerous complaints from the local community. This issue arises because the administrative document submission system is still handled manually, requiring each document to be printed and filed manually.

Abstract

Underground areas, commonly referred to as basements, are often used for essential functions such as parking and electrical distribution spaces. However, unstable temperature and humidity levels due to poor air circulation can affect comfort and safety. Therefore, a system capable of automatically monitoring and controlling temperature and humidity is needed to optimize comfort and energy efficiency. This research employs an Internet of Things (IoT) approach using a DHT11 sensor to detect temperature and humidity in the basement. The data collected by the sensor is processed using a NodeMCU ESP32 microcontroller and then displayed in real-time on a web-based application via the cloud. The system also automatically controls the fan/blower to maintain ideal conditions in the basement. The results of this research show that the implemented IoT system demonstrates high effectiveness in monitoring temperature and humidity in real-time, providing accurate data, enabling energy savings by automatically regulating the fan/blower, and improving air quality and user comfort in the basement.
