Abstract

Research uses the WebQEM technique, which assesses four factors: usability, functionality, reliability, and efficiency, to examine how the Jambi University library website quality affects user satisfaction. Eighty respondents completed questionnaires that were used to gather data. The findings demonstrate that, while there is room for improvement in a number of areas, including ease of help retrieval, page navigation, link validity, and information relevance, the quality of the library website has a positive and significant impact on user happiness. Users believe that the website is devoid of helpful features, navigates poorly, has broken links, and occasionally offers information that is insufficient for their needs. Enhancing navigation, adding help services, and assessing the accuracy of links and the suitability of the content are some suggestions for enhancement to the website.

Abstract

The digital world has simplified life through technology, particularly with the significant role of smartphones. Android has become the dominant operating system in Indonesia, but its widespread use also increases potential security vulnerabilities, especially since many users lack understanding of data security. During the period of 2018-2020, around 74.95% of smartphone users in Indonesia used Android, most of whom were regular users who may not be aware of data security issues. This research aims to analyze the vulnerabilities of Android devices and the characteristics of the wedding invitation.apk application using reverse engineering to identify malware. Reverse engineering was used to extract data from the wedding invitation.apk file. The research results showed the presence of Spyware malware in the application, which, after installation, could send sensitive data to an external server without adequate protection and access data through OTP SMS and a Telegram bot. This application has the potential to misuse permissions to access SMS, send sensitive data to external servers without permission, and automatically send SMS. To reduce risks, it is recommended to download applications only from trusted sources, check application permissions before installation, regularly update the operating system and applications, and use security applications. This research emphasizes the importance of better security practices in mobile application development to protect users' privacy and data integrity.

Abstract

This research focuses on President Joko Widodo's use of the word "KAGET" in political discourse during the period 2014 to 2024. The use of this word often appears in response to various unexpected events and has become an important part of building Jokowi's leadership image. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the word "KAGET" is used as a political communication strategy. The method used is Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) based on Norman Fairclough's model, which includes text analysis, discursive practices, and social practices. Data were taken from various media that reported Jokowi's statements in different contexts. The results show that the word "KAGET" plays a role in building Jokowi's image as a leader who is adaptive, honest, and close to the people. However, in some cases, this word is also criticized as a sign of unpreparedness. In conclusion, Jokowi's use of the word "KAGET" strengthens emotional connections with the people, manages public expectations, and provides political flexibility in responding to crises.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the effectiveness of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and MobileNet in classifying rice leaf diseases (Oryza sativa), such as bacterial blight, brown spot, and leaf smut. The use of a dataset from Kaggle facilitates the performance evaluation of both models. The results show that MobileNet achieved a higher accuracy of 94.79% in just 10 epochs, while CNN reached 90.24% after 150 epochs. MobileNet’s efficiency in terms of training time and performance is superior to CNN. This study recommends using MobileNet for similar applications and further research with an expanded dataset and other deep learning methods.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the advertising communication strategy for the Yamaha NMAX Turbo 2024, Yamaha's latest product positioned as a premium scooter with turbocharged technology. Amid the fierce competition in the automotive industry, Yamaha needs to design an innovative and effective advertising campaign to increase brand awareness and consumer purchase intention. The objective of this research is to identify key elements in Yamaha’s advertising communication strategy, evaluate its effectiveness, and understand its impact on consumer perceptions and marketing goals. This research employs a descriptive approach with qualitative and quantitative analysis, combining consumer surveys, in-depth interviews, and ad content analysis. The findings show that the effectiveness of the ads, social media engagement, and brand awareness have significant effects on consumer purchase intention, especially among Gen Z. The effectiveness of the ads proved to be the most influential factor, followed by brand awareness and social media engagement. Consumers who responded to Yamaha NMAX Turbo ads through social media tended to have a positive perception of the product's innovations and advanced features. Additionally, the survey indicated that consumers actively engaged with social media campaigns were more motivated to make a purchase. The integrated communication strategy, utilizing various digital platforms such as social media, websites, and television ads, has been proven to increase purchase intention and strengthen positive perceptions of the Yamaha NMAX Turbo. Based on these findings, it is recommended that Yamaha continue to develop creative ad content, enhance social media engagement, and expand brand awareness campaigns through collaborations with automotive influencers. This strategy is expected to solidify Yamaha NMAX Turbo's position in the Indonesian automotive market.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has brought changes in various aspects of life, including purchasing tickets. Currently, many tourist and entertainment attractions provide online ticket purchasing services to make it easier for visitors. This can also be applied to swimming pools, where visitors can buy swimming tickets online via the application. The online swimming ticket application offers several benefits for visitors and swimming pool managers. Visitors can buy tickets easily and at any time, without having to queue at the ticket purchase counter. Apart from that, this application can also provide information about ticket availability, swimming pool opening hours and ongoing promotions. For swimming pool managers, this application can help increase ticket sales efficiency.

Abstract

BPS West Sumba Regency still manages mail manually, facing issues of efficiency, transparency and accuracy. Manual processes risk document loss and recording errors. This research aims to identify problems and recommend an integrated information system. This innovation is expected to increase productivity, reduce errors, and speed up decision-making at BPS. Rapid Application Development (RAD) is a software development model that focuses on accelerating processing time. This approach combines object-oriented development methods and structured techniques to accelerate the process of creating a system or application. The research showed that the implementation of the new information system at BPS West Sumba Regency improved operational efficiency. Mail processing time dropped from 3 hours to 1 hour, and the error rate was reduced from 15% to 2%. User satisfaction increased from 60% to 90%, which had a positive impact on employee motivation. Abstract

The global logistics system currently faces complex challenges related to efficiency and transparency. To address these issues, integrating blockchain and data security has emerged as a promising solution. Blockchain, the foundational technology behind cryptocurrencies, provides the capability to record, verify, and secure transactions in a decentralized and transparent manner. This study aims to analyze the potential of integrating blockchain and data security to enhance efficiency and transparency in global logistics systems. The research employs a literature review approach, examining relevant studies on blockchain and data security applications within the global logistics context. The findings indicate that blockchain integration in global logistics can facilitate a more efficient supply chain by enabling transparency, real-time validation, and enhanced monitoring of logistics activities. Additionally, encrypted data security can mitigate security risks and reduce fraud, providing better protection against cyberattacks and data manipulation.

Abstract

This research uses the FP-Growth algorithm to identify sales patterns at the Cipta Lestari convenience store to support inventory management efficiency and marketing strategies. The data used in this research consists of daily sales transaction data that includes product types and the quantities sold. This analysis employs a support parameter of 0.95 and a confidence level of 0.8, with a maximum limit of 100,000 items. The results indicate that products such as Kchoco, sambal sauce, and tea 3350ml are often purchased together with Torabika coffee, soy sauce, and instant fried noodles. This combination pattern enables the store to create more effective product promotions and optimize inventory. The goal of this research is to develop business strategies that are more responsive to customer needs, enhance satisfaction with the right product offerings, and strengthen competitive marketing. This research is expected to contribute to the development of traditional marketing strategies and serve as a reference for analyzing consumer purchasing patterns in future studies.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the marketing communication mix strategy implemented by Yamaha in promoting the 2024 NMAX Turbo product in Indonesia. To differentiate, Yamaha leverages six key marketing communication elements: advertising, sales promotion, public relations, direct marketing, personal selling, and digital marketing. Using a qualitative case study approach, data was gathered through in-depth interviews with Yamaha’s marketing managers, advertising agencies, and automotive influencers, as well as document analysis of annual reports and social media content. Thematic and content analysis were employed to interpret the data. Findings show that advertising played a significant role in building brand awareness through television and digital platforms, emphasizing the motor’s turbocharged technology and futuristic design. Sales promotions, particularly exclusive discounts and pre-order bonuses, effectively boosted consumer interest. Public relations initiatives, including launch events and test rides, enhanced the brand’s image and engagement. Direct marketing via email and SMS reinforced consumer relationships, while personal selling at dealerships offered a personalized experience. Digital marketing through platforms like Instagram and TikTok successfully reached younger audiences. This marketing mix strategy has proven effective in raising brand awareness, strengthening engagement, and driving sales for Yamaha.
