Abstract

This research discusses the development, testing, and deployment of a backend API using Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with Firestore as the database and Cloud Storage for storing user profile photos. The API was developed using Express.js, integrated with Firestore and Cloud Storage, and tested for functionality using Postman. Deployment is done to Cloud Run via creating a Dockerfile and building a Docker image. Test results showed that the API was able to handle 7,875 requests in five minutes, with an average of 25.64 requests per second and an average response time of 97 ms. All endpoints are stable, responsive, and error-free. This research focuses on the application of cloud technology to the development of sign language applications, and shows that the use of GCP services can produce efficient and scalable API solutions. These results are significant in supporting the development of cloud-based applications to meet user needs effectively, especially in mobile applications that require reliable backend services.

Abstract

The Watumas Outpatient Pratama Clinic is an institution that utilizes Information Technology (IT) to assist its operations and health services. IT empowerment in this clinic is carried out by the department responsible for the technology applied, including the management and storage of highly sensitive patient data. Considering the importance of protecting the data and information collected, a good security system is needed to protect the clinic from potential threats that could be detrimental. Evaluation of the quality of information security management is necessary to ensure that the information technology used is safe and trustworthy. This research adopts a qualitative approach through the use of the COBIT 5 framework, especially in the APO13 (Managing Security) and DSS05 (Managing Security Services) stages, to assess the level of information security implemented. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and the use of assessment sheet instruments. The research results show that both stages are at level 2 (Managed Process), while the level expected by the clinic is level 3 (Established Process). This indicates that there is a gap of one level in each process. This research also provides several recommendations for improving information security management by considering the gaps that arise.

Abstract

Information systems are essential to support work processes and public services.One type of information technology widely used in government institutions, such as the Regional Revenue Agency of Medan City, is the management of official correspondence.Every organization or institution has various tools to convey information to others, one of which is through letters.The disposition of letters is a public service that needs improvement at the Regional Revenue Agency of Medan City.This study aims to design a self-service application that facilitates the management of letter dispositions, thereby improving the efficiency of administrative services.The research employs the waterfall method, which includes the stages of requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing.The result of this research is a prototype application that enables digital management of letter dispositions, equipped with features that simplify tracking and managing letters for both administrators and users.These findings are expected to serve as a foundation for further development of digital administrative services in other government institutions.

Abstract

In the busines world, especially the shoe shop business, a marketing strategy is needed in order to increase product sales. One of the shoe shop businesses is parabellum. The high number of visitors to Parabellum’s online and offlie stores resulted in the stock of boots being sold out, so that when customers looked for a variety og boots, these boots were no longer available. From this problem, the author helps predict by analyzing data processing using a comparison og the C4.5 algorithm, where the C4.5 algorithm is an algorithm, it will have accurate result in predicting shoe sales data at the Prabellum Store.

Abstract

The Social Movement carried out by Makeup Wakeup is a form of real action to help reduce cosmetic waste, encouraging consumers to donate products that are no longer used but may still have some life left in them. This research uses an interpretative qualitative approach with data collection techniques using interview methods, literature study and document study. The research results show that Makeup Wakeup uses social media platforms, especially Instagram. Not only does it create awareness but also encourages people to get involved in the movement to donate unused cosmetics. The proceeds from collecting unused cosmetics are donated to the funeral beautician. The findings in the research are that wakeup makeup will collaborate with artists to increase attractiveness and create synergy between artists and environmental awareness.

Abstract

This research examines how Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Trustiness, and Algorithm Awareness influence the attitude and intention of Batam content creators in utilizing digital platforms. Data collected from 137 Batam content creators were analyzed using linear regression. Results indicate that Perceived Ease of Use significantly affects Perceived Usefulness (t = 6.007, p < 0.001), but neither Perceived Ease of Use (t = 0,315, p = 0.753) nor Perceived Usefulness (t = 1.664, p = 0.099) impacts attitude. In contrast, Perceived Trustiness (t = 4.109, p < 0.001) and Algorithm Awareness (t = 2.584, p = 0.011) positively influence attitudes, while a strong relationship exists between attitude and intention to use platforms (t = 8.654, p < 0.001). These findings suggest that content creators should understand algorithm functionality and use trusted platforms to enhance content visibility and audience reach. Platform developers should focus on building trust by ensuring data security, transparent and fair content distribution systems, to create a sense of reliability & trustworthy, encouraging Batam creators to use the platform more actively.

Abstract

Ramen is a Japanese specialty that is widely favored by Indonesians. One implementation of innovation to significantly increase ramen sales is with vending machines. In Indonesia, vending machines are not yet widely known, especially in the food category. To take advantage of this business opportunity, vending machines are one of the solutions. Vending machine is a strand of technology whose concept is to make manual activities automatic with the aim of running production and making the output more quality. With this, the purpose of this research is to implement the concept of automata language theory with the Mealy Machine model. This research uses analytical methods, namely from the information obtained and formal methods to analyze how the vending machine works starting from business process analysis, FSA diagram design, FSA testing, and UI Concept Design based on FSA on vending machines. The results of this study are in the form of test results using JFLAP software that can help analyze the patterns that have been made and can be simulated to ensure compliance with the planned design.

Abstract

TikTok application is changing the shape of the economy and how young people see it as an opportunity. This study investigates the impact of TikTok application on digital entrepreneurship intentions among university students in Batam City. Leveraging the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), the research explores how perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control influence students' entrepreneurial aspirations. A quantitative method with purposive sampling was used, targeting 460 respondents. The findings reveal that TikTok's user-friendly features and algorithmic design significantly affect digital entrepreneurship intentions, facilitating accessibility and fostering innovative business practices. The results underscore the importance of integrating digital tools into entrepreneurship, providing practical insights for educators, platform developers, and young people to enhance entrepreneurial engagement in the digital economy. Despite geographical limitations, this study contributes to the theoretical understanding of technology-driven entrepreneurship and highlights areas for future exploration.

Abstract

Stunting is a health issue caused by malnutrition that hampers child development. This study aims to develop an expert system based on Natural Language Processing (NLP) to provide nutritional information that is interactive, accurate, and easily accessible through a web platform. The system employs a forward chaining inference method, an approach that starts from initial facts to reach solutions based on logical rules. The strength of the NLP algorithm lies in its ability to understand user queries based on context, resulting in relevant and responsive solutions. The testing results indicate a system accuracy rate of 0.9756 or 97%, achieved through evaluations using a dataset of user queries under various test scenarios. This accuracy demonstrates the system's potential to assist parents in understanding their children's nutritional needs in real-time. Features such as interactive consultations and high accessibility make this system a practical and innovative solution for stunting prevention.

Abstract

In today's digital era, the use of technology in various fields of life such as economics and commerce is becoming increasingly important. With the development of increasingly advanced technology, it can provide convenience and time efficiency in expanding market coverage. The use of chatbots as information technology has increased rapidly in recent years and is becoming increasingly popular. Chatbot is a computer program designed to simulate conversations with human users via the internet. The implementation of Telegram chatbots can help simplify communication between sellers and buyers and provide product information. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze factors that influence the effectiveness of using Telegram chatbots in providing information related to buying and selling Fashion and to determine their effectiveness in increasing customer satisfaction. Evaluation of this chatbot was carried out through direct testing with users to assess the level of accuracy of chatbot responses, user satisfaction, and ease of use. The evaluation results showed that the RASA-based Telegram chatbot, which was evaluated using the System Usability Scale method, was able to provide accurate and quite satisfactory responses when used by users.
