Abstract

PT XYZ is a manufacturing company engaged in printing and packaging, one of their products is wafer roll packaging. The problem that occurs in this company is the lack of consideration of the degree of nearness at work stations, the placement of work stations that are not in the sequence of the production process that causes backtracking. This research used Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) method and Blocplan Software to determine the layout redesign on production floor. From the research that was conducted, layout 4 was obtained as the best proposed layout with an R score of 0.88 and several changes were made to the position of the work station placement. The proposed layout obtained a total distance between work stations of 426 meters from the total distance between work stations of the initial layout that was 670 meters, which obtained a difference of total distance from work stations between initial layout and proposed layout was 244 meters.

Abstract

Combine Harvester is one of the products of PT Mitra Maharta that requires high work demands and accuracy in the production process. Workers in the production division tend to cause uneven workloads due to intensive labor demands and the obligation to work with high accuracy. Therefore, measurements of the workloads experienced by workers are needed. The NASA-TLX and FTE (Full Time Equivalent) methods were used to measure the workloads of 14 production workers. Some workers have an average WWL value from the range of 64 - 84.33 with the categories “High” to “Very High” in the NASA-TLX calculation, while in the FTE method calculation, they have an FTE index value from the range of 0.79 - 1.32 with the categories “Underload”, “Normal”, and “Overload”. Recommendations from this study include task restructuring and reallocation of human resources, additional manpower, as well as policies such as adequate rest time and training to improve worker efficiency.

Abstract

The deterioration of the global food system during COVID-19 particularly in terms of sporadic closures of food processing facilities with adverse consequences for food security and increasing the risk of hunger. The impetus for creating food security arises from the central role of food in human life. One effort to achieve this is through the concept of food self-sufficiency, as a country's ability to meet food needs from domestic production. The preparation of this article utilizes descriptive bibliometric analysis which focuses on literature data banks. Bibliometrics is a quantitative method applied to explore research domains through meta data on articles provided in bibliographic database platforms,This article was written only using the Scopus database. Meta data performed by bibliometrics includes publication titles, keywords, abstracts, and citation notes. This article produces 10 recommendations that need to be carried out by a government, one of which is transforming the food system into an important step to overcome vulnerabilities in the system and increase overall food security.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in Indonesia's economy, yet many of them risked bankruptcy during the COVID-19 epidemic. This study aims to analyze the impact of social media and e-commerce on MSME income with the moderation of production costs. A quantitative descriptive approach was employed in this study to analyze the data obtained from the research instrument, a questionnaire. The approach included tests for validity, reliability, normality, autocorrelation, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, moderation regression analysis (MRA), F and t statistical tests, and the coefficient of determination test (R2). The results show that e-commerce and social media do not have a significant individual impact on increasing MSME income, and production costs do not moderate this relationship. The implications of this study highlight the importance of effective production cost management to maximize the benefits of digital technology in increasing MSME income. This study recommends expanding the sample scope and using mixed methods for more in-depth analysis in the future.
