Abstract

PetroComp, a private oil and gas operator in Eastern Indonesia, has a limited room for gas production growth. A potential new long-term gas sales agreement (GSA) with PT. SMC, could double PetroComp’s gas production and address its long-term growth needs. Jala field is the potential undeveloped resource to fulfill the gas demand requirement, however it contains high CO2 concentration which presents substantial investments for its development. Three development scenarios of Jala field are evaluated in the study, including a potential integration of CCUS.This study aims to evaluate the economic feasibility of the three development scenarios of Jala sour gas field using a Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) method to determine the best development strategy for PetroComp and Government of Indonesia. Conventional onshore development approach provides the highest NPV at US$ 113.8 million, meanwhile CCUS and full offshore development scenarios are not economic due to its high investment cost. Gas production volume and gas price are the most sensitive parameters affecting the project’s profitability based on the sensitivity analysis. Uncertainty analysis suggests a promising thick positive NPV is expected from the project with the P90-P50-P10 cases are ranging from US$ 50.8 – 173.9 million. Time-dependent evaluation concludes the impact on profitability start to de-escalate exponentially if the project is delayed for more than four years (>10% NPV impact) at the given PSC period until 2045. This study is intended to support evidence-based decision-making by PetroComp in developing the high-CO2 Jala gas field and advancing the company’s long-term growth strategy.

Abstract

In today’s highly competitive market, companies are increasingly focused on building a strong, customer-centric organizational culture while emphasizing social responsibility and sustainability. Despite these efforts, modern business management still faces challenges such as insufficient employee competencies, complex risk management, and the ongoing struggle to balance short-term performance with long-term strategic goals. This study aims to examine the effect of product availability and brand awareness on consumer purchase decisions at PT KurniaPutra Mandiri. A quantitative research approach was employed, involving a population of 129 consumers who purchased Honda motorcycles more than once in 2023. Based on the Slovin formula, a sample of 98 respondents was selected using an accidental sampling technique. The results indicate that product availability has a significant positive effect on purchase decisions. Similarly, brand awareness also positively and significantly influences purchase decisions. Furthermore, the study confirms that both product availability and brand awareness simultaneously have a significant impact on consumer purchase decisions at PT KurniaPutra Mandiri.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of Village Fund Allocation (ADD) on economic growth in 13 regencies of South Sumatra Province from 2016 to 2023. Using panel data regression analysis with the Common Effect Model (CEM) as the best estimated model, the research also examines the impact of other variables including the Human Development Index (HDI), Regional Budget (APBD), Construction Cost Index (IKK), number of community health centers (HEALTH), and labor force (EMP). The empirical findings reveal that ADD and HDI have a statistically significant influence on regional economic growth, with ADD demonstrating a negative effect, while HDI exerts a positive influence. In contrast, APBD, IKK, HEALTH, and EMP show no significant relationship with economic growth. The results suggest that while human capital development plays a critical role in promoting sustainable economic progress, the effectiveness of fiscal policies such as ADD and APBD depends heavily on governance quality and institutional capacity. The study highlights the need for institutional reform, transparent fund management, and a development strategy tailored to local potential to ensure inclusive and productive regional economic growth.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the mediating role of brand image in the relationship between Electronic Word of Mouth (E-WOM), product quality, and purchase intention for Adidas shoes. Utilizing a causal quantitative research design, the study employs Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to test the proposed hypotheses and explain the relationships between variables. The sample was selected through purposive sampling, focusing on undergraduate students at Ganesha University of Education who are familiar with the Adidas brand. The results of the study reveal that E-WOM and product quality both have positive and significant effects on consumers’ purchase intention, while brand image also independently influences purchase intention in a positive and significant manner. Moreover, the findings indicate that E-WOM and product quality each positively and significantly affect brand image. Importantly, brand image is shown to mediate the effects of both E-WOM and product quality on purchase intention, suggesting that a strong brand image serves as a form of economic capital that enhances consumer confidence and drives purchasing decisions. These results underscore the strategic importance of managing digital consumer feedback and maintaining high product standards to strengthen brand positioning and stimulate market demand. Future research could expand on these findings by incorporating variables such as brand loyalty, consumer trust, or the role of social media influencers to better understand purchasing behavior in the digital economy.

Abstract

This study explores key human resource factors—workload, work motivation, and work environment—and their impact on the performance of health workers, with a focus on organizational efficiency in public health services. The research examines 64 midwives and nurses across 20 public health centers (Puskesmas) in Buleleng Regency, who were assigned additional tasks beyond their formal competencies and educational backgrounds. Data were gathered using an online questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings reveal that workload negatively and significantly affects performance, while work motivation and work environment have significant positive effects. When considered simultaneously, these three variables contribute positively to performance outcomes. These results highlight the importance of managing human capital effectively to enhance service delivery in public health institutions. The study offers valuable insights for health sector managers and policy makers seeking to improve performance through strategic human resource interventions.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the cause of the IDR exchange rate experiencing high fluctuations during 2018-2023 using monthly data. To determine whether macroeconomic news affects the IDR exchange rate, this study employs the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) model. In addition, this study aims to determine what macroeconomic news affects fluctuations in the IDR exchange rate. The main findings of the research results show that search interests related to macroeconomic news simultaneously affect the IDR exchange rate, but partially six of the eleven search interests related to macroeconomic news affect exchange rate fluctuations. In addition, the mean value which is greater than the median value on the dependent variable indicates that during the study period the IDR exchange rate tended to depreciate against the USD. Studies like this are still rare in Indonesia, making this research a valuable addition to financial management education. The researcher hopes that it can be developed further with other search interests that can affect and predict the movement of the IDR exchange rate.

Abstract

This study explores strategic approaches to enhancing the utilization of domestic products (Produk Dalam Negeri, PDN) in public procurement processes within Bogor Regency, Indonesia. Anchored in the national policy framework promoting local industrial development and economic resilience, the research investigates institutional, regulatory, and procedural barriers that impede optimal implementation of PDN mandates at the regional level. Employing a qualitative descriptive methodology, the study draws on interviews with government procurement officials and local vendors, as well as an analysis of procurement plans, budget realization data, and policy documents. Findings reveal that the underperformance in PDN absorption is primarily attributed to the absence of localized regulatory instruments, inadequate integration of PDN priorities in regional planning and performance systems, limited institutional capacity, and fragmented coordination among key stakeholders. Furthermore, systemic weaknesses in procurement planning and vendor engagement hinder compliance with national targets, resulting in substantial gaps between planned and realized domestic product spending. To address these issues, the study offers a set of comprehensive recommendations. Practically, it advocates for the formulation of local regulations and technical guidelines, capacity building for procurement actors, and the development of digital procurement platforms prioritizing domestic suppliers. From a policy perspective, it recommends the institutionalization of performance-based monitoring and evaluation systems, inter-agency coordination mechanisms, and incentive structures. Theoretically, the research contributes to the discourse on sustainable procurement by proposing a framework linking institutional readiness, procurement processes, and local economic impact. The study concludes that with targeted regulatory reforms, institutional strengthening, and strategic alignment between national mandates and local practices, Bogor Regency can significantly improve its PDN realization, thereby reinforcing local industry participation in public sector supply chains and advancing sustainable regional development.

Abstract

This study aims to prove the influence of budget planning, human resource competence, and utilization of information technology on budget absorption with organizational commitment as a moderating variable. Using a quantitative research method, purposive sampling was used in the sample selection process, 185 respondents, including the Budget Implementation Coordinator (KPA), Budget Implementation Coordinator (PPK), Budget Implementation Coordinator (PPSPM), Head of Planning Sub-Division and Expenditure Treasurer in 37 work units under the Surabaya High Religious Court. The hypothesis was tested with SEM-PLS by SMART PLS 4.1.0.9. The results showed that budget planning does not affect budget absorption, human resource competence, and information technology, which significantly impacts budget absorption. Organizational commitment as a moderating variable does not moderate the impact of budget planning and human resource competence on budget absorption, but it does moderate the effect of information technology utilization on budget absorption.

Abstract

This study explores the determinants of customer satisfaction within the Village Credit Institution (LPD) of Banyuning Traditional Village, Buleleng, Bali, as a reflection of local economic empowerment. Specifically, this research analyzes the influence of service quality, institutional image, and promotional strategies on customer satisfaction. A causal quantitative research design was employed, with the study population consisting of 901 customers of LPD Desa Adat Banyuning. Using probability sampling and the Slovin formula, 100 respondents were selected. The data collection technique involved a structured questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The findings indicate that service quality, image, and promotion collectively have a significant impact on customer satisfaction. Furthermore, each variable—service quality, institutional image, and promotion—was found to have a positive and significant individual effect on customer satisfaction. These results underscore the importance of improving service delivery, enhancing institutional image, and implementing effective promotional efforts to maintain customer trust and loyalty, particularly in the context of increasing competition among financial institutions in semi-urban village areas.
