Abstract

This study aims to examine the simultaneous influence of motivation, compensation, and work environment on the performance of marketing employees at Bank BNI Singaraja Branch. Using a quantitative research design and a survey method, data were collected through a structured questionnaire distributed to all 35 marketing employees. The collected data were rigorously tested for validity and reliability before being analyzed using multiple regression analysis with SPSS version 20. The results indicate that the independent variables—motivation, compensation, and work environment—collectively and significantly explain variations in employee performance. Specifically, the findings suggest that improvements in these three aspects are associated with increased productivity, efficiency, and overall performance in the marketing department. These results highlight the importance of an integrated human resource management strategy, emphasizing consistent motivation programs, fair and competitive compensation, and a supportive work environment. The strategic implications of this study suggest that optimizing these factors can enhance organizational goal achievement and provide a sustainable competitive advantage in the banking sector.

Abstract

Banking stocks have consistently delivered substantial profits for investors, particularly throughout 2023. According to data from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in 2020, Indonesian banking assets reached IDR 9,333 trillion, equivalent to 59.5% of the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), highlighting the sector's significant role in national economic growth. Furthermore, Kontan (2023) reported that Bank Central Asia (BCA) was among the top-performing banking issuers, achieving a total stock return of 12.60% in 2023. This study aims to analyze the economic and financial factors—specifically the quantity of stock prices, stock offering values, and company age—that influence initial stock returns. Using a multiple linear regression model, the findings reveal that the quantity of stock prices has a significant negative effect on initial returns. In contrast, the stock offering value and the age of the company do not exhibit a significant individual impact. However, collectively, these variables—representing key economic indicators—have a significant joint effect on the initial return of Bank BCA. The study contributes to the broader understanding of how financial metrics and firm characteristics affect investment performance in the banking sector, especially in emerging markets like Indonesia.

In an environment where many workers operate as freelancers or independent contractors, work motivation becomes the main driver for maintaining service quality and business sustainability. Motivation also plays an important role in promoting innovation and renewal in the tourism industry, as motivated workers tend to look for ways to improve the quality of their services. This research aims to determine the main motivational factors that influence freelancers in the tourism gig economy and the dynamics of the gig economy that influence the motivation and work experience of freelancers in Sanur. The Sanur Tourism Area, which is located on the southeast coast of Bali Island, which is one of the most sought-after tourist destinations in Indonesia, is the place used in this research. The researcher used a qualitative method. Data collection in this research was through observation, documentation, and interviews with informants who had been determined using purposive sampling techniques. The conclusion obtained is that the main motivating factor for freelancers in the Sanur tourism sector is income. Income becomes a central element that motivates them to engage in the dynamics of the gig economy, influencing their decisions to choose certain projects and determining their level of involvement in freelance work.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of corporate governance mechanisms on initial returns in companies conducting IPOs on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2019-2023 period. The phenomenon of underpricing in IPOs which increased significantly (61.2%) during this period became the main problem under study. Using an associative causal quantitative approach with secondary data that is time series and cross section, this study analyses 136 companies selected through purposive sampling. The independent variables studied include board gender diversity, board size, independent commissioners, and managerial ownership. The results show that board gender diversity, board size, and independent commissioners have no significant effect on initial return. However, managerial ownership has a significant positive effect. Simultaneously, the four variables have no effect on initial return with the ability to explain limited variation in initial return (R Square 7.6%). This study implies that in Indonesia, of the corporate governance aspects studied, only managerial ownership has a significant influence on IPO performance.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of local wisdom, specifically the Subak system, into sustainable agricultural entrepreneurship in Tolai Village, Torue District, Parigi Moutong Regency. Subak, a traditional Balinese irrigation system, incorporates the principles of Tri Hita Karana, which emphasizes harmony between humans, nature, and spirituality. The research examines how Subak practices, combined with modern agricultural techniques, promote ecological sustainability, enhance agricultural productivity, and strengthen community cohesion. The study also discusses the challenges faced by Subak, such as irrigation infrastructure issues, climate change, and pest management, and highlights adaptive strategies implemented by local farmers. Furthermore, the study underscores the importance of knowledge transfer to younger generations to ensure the continuity of Subak and its practices. The findings suggest that the integration of local wisdom into agricultural entrepreneurship contributes to the preservation of cultural heritage, supports food security, and fosters socio-economic resilience in rural communities.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) in moderating the influence of viral marketing and brand image on consumer purchase decisions of Kazamarts Indonesia's fashion products. A total of 100 respondents were selected using purposive sampling, targeting individuals who have engaged with Kazamarts' online marketing and have made or considered making a purchase. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire ranging from 1 (strongly disagree) to 5 (strongly agree). The analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares (PLS) to test the proposed structural model. The findings reveal that both viral marketing and brand image significantly influence FOMO and consumer purchase decisions. Furthermore, FOMO was found to moderate the relationship between viral marketing and purchase decisions, strengthening the effect, while its moderating role on brand image was less significant. These results highlight the importance of emotional triggers like FOMO in digital marketing strategies for fashion brands targeting online consumers.
