Abstract

A social group that has the same hobbies or interests can be an opportunity to become a target for finding solutions in that group. The design of this bag is intended to suit the needs of the community when attending concerts, namely the age range of 16-33 years old. This research is motivated by the needs/opportunities of the needs of Kpop fans when attending concerts with several regulations that regulate luggage to the size of the bag used. When go to a K-pop concert, there is an item that is characteristic that makes this bag different from other bags, that item is called a lightstick. The basis of this design is also due to seeing how much they take care of this item and other considerations of luggage due to the limited bag size set by the concert organizer. The purpose of this research is to produce a bag design that is a community solution when attending concerts with a special compartment to store lightsticks so that they are safe and can still store other products. The resulting design has a novelty value that is offered, namely the development of designs from existing products besides the advantages of this designed bag having a cheaper price compared to existing products because the product is made abroad, with a compact design with reference to casual - korean look. The design process is carried out through a double diamond design thinking approach, namely by searching for data about the target user by fostering a sense of empathy, finding solutions for what products are needed, then looking for appropriate ideas, and at the end of the process a design is produced in the form of a dynamic mock-up that more or less have the size and function in accordance with the resulting design.

Abstract

Trash bins has always been a commodity of a paramount need, nonetheless, it is often taken for granted even though it is something that is connected directly to our basic human needs (especially food). Waste management system as an issue has never been completely resolved, and to make it worse, this new lifestyle in which we are living most of our lives in our homes instead of our usual workplaces. The pandemic forces us to stay at home and by nature makes us consume more consumables in our homes relative to the times in which we could eat or do our activities outside, hence producing more waste in our homes. Trash bins are used according to its name as a waste management system, but with the problems that we are in right now, trash bins need something new for them to be able to adapt in this era, increasing its efficacy. This project taps its feet into innovation waters by adopting the ever so hyped Go-Green movement as its pivotal core, while also challenging the new Industrial Revolution with IOT system in plans to achieve the new and fresh market in which Gen Y and Z are flourishing. Utilizing the Double Diamond Design Thinking Method in an effort to get user feedbacks in the process. This journal finds its conclusion in the form of a design, an Eco trash can with IOT functions in accordance of accommodating workspaces.

Abstract

During the 2019 Coronavirus disease (hereinafter referred to as “COVID-19”) pandemic in 2020, many human activities have become limited, such as shopping for daily necessities. As a result, humans need products that can help carry out their activities in the midst of a pandemic. This study discusses the process of designing a cleaning tool that can be used before entering the home environment to prevent the virus from being carried from items exposed to the outside environment. This research is motivated by the need for a cleaning tool that can prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus from items brought from outside the home. The products that are cleaned include shoes, electronic devices, and groceries purchased either through independent or online purchases. The purpose of this research is to produce a chamber design that can clean groceries and consumables quickly without damaging the packaging or products to be cleaned. The resulting design has a novelty value that is offered, namely a goods cleaning system using steam that can clean products from COVID-19 droplets. There is a theoretical basis used in the research, namely the use of disinfectants and antiseptics as a way to prevent the COVID-19 virus in housing. The design objectives were achieved through an online literature study analysis process accompanied by interviews and proofing the feasibility of the tools used with the Double Diamond design method. At the end of the process, a design is produced in the form of a final sketch and a 3D model of the disinfectant equipment brought from outside the house.

Abstract

A cabinet is a storage that is considered effective and efficient because apart from being useful as a place to store various items, it adds aesthetic value to a space. The high demand for land for housing has led to vertical flats, like apartments. An apartment with a studio type has simply one room, where the only space with a section is in the bathroom. In this type of apartment, furniture with optimal function is needed because the space in a studio apartment is very minimal but still compact to maximize every available space. Multifunctional furniture is suitable for studio-type apartments because it has more value in both ergonomics and economics. This design creates a multifunctional cabinet with a retro theme suitable for residential needs with relatively limited space. It has various functions as a storage for cutlery needs and can transform into a dining table set equipped with folding stools for 2-4 people. The design used the four-phase Design Thinking method in the Double Diamond model, such as discover, define, develop, and deliver. The methods used in the design are qualitative and quantitative data analysis using questionnaires, documents, and literature studies.

Abstract

There are two types of catfish feed, namely pellets and vegetable feed. Vegetable waste can be used as catfish feed because it still contains the nutrients needed by catfish. Processing vegetable waste into catfish feed consists of several processes, including sorting, washing, chopping, drying, mixing, and forming. Currently, vegetable feed is still made manually with simple tools so that it takes a long time to process, especially for small-scale catfish breeders. The existing pellet-processor is still on an industrial scale which is not suitable for small-scale catfish breeders. The data were obtained from field surveys and interviews. The data were analyzed through the research board analysis method. The results of the analysis become a flow scheme for making feed with the designed tools. The design process includes configuration studies, anthropometric and ergonomic studies, and physical form conducted through analytical prototyping methods. The success of the product is evaluated through a comparison of several variables related to product functions between existing products/tools and the designed product. The design results show an increase in the productivity of making pellets from vegetable waste but the washing and sorting process cannot be accommodated by the tool. Abstract

Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic is caused by a new type of Coronavirus named SARS-CoV-2, which is transmitted through droplets between humans. All humans activities that invite crowds and physical contact are prohibited by the Indonesian Government. Repeated and massive media coverage creates anxiety which is bad for health. In addition, the need to maintain and increase the body's immunity to be resistant to viruses is considered very important. To reduce anxiety, tourism activities that utilize natural therapy are needed while still implementing physical distancing recommendations. Bikers group which was originally synonymous with motorcades, large ceremonies, and entertainment in the current conditions is no longer relevant, because it can invite crowds and are at risk of contracting the virus. So independence and adequacy when touring are needed as a new way of adventure for individual bikers during this pandemic. Motorbikes are a means to channel your hobby of adventure and show your existence as bikers. The Camper Trailer is a solution for carrying camping facilities such as tents, groceries and cooking facilities on motorbikes that don't have sufficient storage space. In this research, the authors conducted a literacy study and field surveys to determine and be able to analyze the natural characteristics of Indonesia, especially West Java, so as to determine the standard construction constraints and user needs. Through the ethnographic approach, the author examines the Harley Club Bandoeng group and the influences of subcultures resulting in acculturation and reflecting habitual characteristics and new meanings that are interesting to study. The benefit of the output of this project is that during this period each individual bikers can still exist independently and go on adventures as is the characteristic of bikers. Keywords: Pandemic, bikers, camper trailer.
